Stepping out of the empty tub, Fate reached for a towel. Running the frayed fabric over her skin brought up a tingling sensation. Once all the water droppletts had been cleared away, she pulled on her robe once more. She then hung the towel over a rack and blew out the candle. A small puff of delicate gray smoke danced about unconvectionally.
Sighing softly, Fate traversed to her bedroom. Moisture still lingered in the air from the prior event. As she ran her nails through her hair and into the top knot, Fate scooped up the bag of laundry.
Upon doing so, she then entered the living area. Here, the devilish aroma of coffee filled the atmosphere. Fate placed the bag on the floor beside the door. Afterwards, she moved to the cabinets and searched for a coffee mug. Retrieving a putar mug with a small chip in the bottom, Fate pulled the coffee pot from it's warmer. As she tipped the handle, luke liquid took on the cup's shape. Inhaling the steam slowly, a grin touched her tender lips. Returning the pot to its latter position, Fate scuffles into the living area with her drink. Softly, she blows steam from the rim as to cool it. Upon the couch she rested, groaning softly as she sat. What she really needed was a fresh batch of blood. Unfortunately, that would have to wait until that night.
So drink up. Swallowing carefully, the coffee slipped down her throat easily.
Where was everyone while all this was going on? Had she heard voices in the hall? One sounded as that of Mortis.. What of Jaden, Silver, Marishka, Anne? Fate clutched the cup abit tighter now. Everything she had worked for was slipping away, and she didn't even notice it was missing. She swallowed hard. What was there to do?
I must do something.. The voices in her head said to do nothing.
Stay put. If fate has its way, whom you desire will show up eventually. Don't wish so much of so little. Fate had never wanted in her life..
Don't start now. Where had the conscience come from? Even as things slipped, things also came in their place. Neither she'd noticed! Life was ticking by..even the Dead knew this so well.
