On a whim I decided to watch the new series of Doctor Who. this is the first exposure I've had to the series and now I am hooked. Once I catch up on the new series perhaps I will go watch some of the older stuff I can stream for free off of Netflix.

Same here Amadeus, i've been bouncing between watching it on Sci-fy and PBS. Granted I haven't been watching it as much, but got a ton recorded on DVR.

I randomly remembered a show I use to watch, That MTV classic Daria.
And just as I realized they haven't made a DVD collection of it. I find this:

VALVe has 'quietly' updated Portal and added a new achievement.

They also included something like an ARG that various communities are scrambling to figure out.

MD5 hashes, BBS numbers, hidden images both jpeg and ASCII, morse code... and possibly a hint that "something" is coming.

I don't know what I'm more disappointed about Alice In Wonderland:

That I was forced to buy a pair of 3D glasses and had no regular 2D option to see the movie;

That I would have actually enjoyed the movie much, much more without the unnecessary 3D shots;

Or that the movie itself left me wanting more, and not in a good way.

I don't like Tim Burton or any of his weird junk, so I'm not going to be seeing Alice. I have heard some mixed reviews on the movie though. Mostly, it seems that the reviewers are saying that the effects are nice, the story is lacking.

I'm so not on this 3D bandwagon at all either, but it looks like it's going to be more prevalent

That's pretty much it on the nose: it looks nice for the most part (it's actually not as super-creepy/gothic as Burton's stuff usually is) but the story is lackluster at best.

I think if you absolutely need to do 3D for a movie, save it for the blockbuster and horror films where the action is ripe for 3D effects. There's no need to throw it into a film like Alice just because you can. Otherwise, it's really not drawing me to the theater, in fact it's keeping me from it. I'd rather watch a decent film in 2D tha forced to watch a crappy one in 3D.

Terry McGinnis
Crisis on Two Earths was ridiculous amounts of fun. Evil Vibe! Also, plenty of Rose Wilson for that one Ravager fan. Only thing really awful about it was Billy Baldwin Batman.

eek Rose is a non-violant Red haired activist and the Presidents daughter. And... Dates....an ...old guy...?

Poor monkey! crying She needs a plant friendly Monkey friend. crying

So torn about picking it up from everything I've heard.

I don't know what I'm more pleased with - The Hurt Locker beating out Avatar or the new Iron Man 2 trailer. Probably the second one. The Oscars were nice and all, but they didn't have the Silver Centurion.
