Tsuyoshi Kujikeru
Lvl: 30 HP: 480/480 Cp: 864/900 MHp: 450/450

Alright, now that Tsuyoshi had finished the first part of the training regiment, it was time to work on the second part. The second part being the part that involved him actually setting the place on fire. Well, throwing the fire outward towards whatever he wanted to throw it at. Of course this was quite hard to get started since the entire place was covered in highly combustible things like leaves and grass and trees and other things of that nature. More than likely the people back in the village, the ones who were in charge, would look down on him turning the village hidden in the leaves into the village hidden in the ashes of the leaves that the village was previously hidden in. To make matters worse, it was likely that he would have little to no control over the flames that he started throwing out of his body. Fire was notoriously unstable and notoriously dangerous to suddenly try and use; but it wasn't like that would stop him this time. Tsuyoshi started working on manipulating that oh so useful flaming chakra that had caused him a bit of annoyance before. But now, he was ready to start using it, since he had control over the chakra. Of course this took a bit of time for him to get ahold of, because while he had in fact managed to get the flame chakra in a manipulated state, he hadn't really figured out how to make it useful to him. In fact, the flames scared him a bit, since being admitted to the hospital over third degree internal burns would both be humiliating as a jounin, but also incredibly painful. They'd probably sit around and just watch him suffer for hours to teach him a lesson about trying to breathe fire without anyone to watch over him. Regardless, he took his time to manipulate the fire chakra, feeling it swirling around inside of him as he tried to figure out the best way to get it out of him. It wasn't like there were lots of different ways to throw it from his body; so it was time to actually experiment with this, consequences be damned. Tsuyoshi only hoped that he didn't manage to set himself on fire and get himself a horrible burn scar that everyone wanted to ask about. It would completely take away his everyman persona.

Tsuyoshi was totally ready to try to use this flaming chakra with no one around and no one able to stop him from doing anything stupid with it. Like accidentally belching it outwards and nearly burning his own eyebrows off. As he tried to spit it out, the flames flew forward, using the air around him as fuel and creating a rather large fireball right in front of his face. Panicked at his own foolishness, he fell backwards to avoid catching himself on fire. Strangely enough, it wasn't that hard to do, and the flames quickly dissipated when it no longer had any chakra to sustain them. His first test had been a success, of some kind, but it hadn't been a great one overall. Oh well, he'd live and learn and get better as he went along. For now, he just had to sit down and figure out what he was going to do now that he had figured out how the technique seemed to work... katon was kind of explosive and it was coming out of his mouth. At least he hadn't burned anything inside of him or managed to catch his hair on fire. That would have been a bit hard to explain to people. He probably wouldn't have looked good bald. Regardless, Tsuyoshi took the time to sit up and pull out a notepad to take notes in. As he wrote, he immediately realized that he should keep the pad of notes far, far away from his training. It wouldn't do for him to set his own notes on fire that he was writing so that he didn't set himself on fire. Either way, he finished writing about how he needed to throw the flaming chakra farther away from his own face, and then placed it over near a tree where it wouldn't get burned. Well, it most likely wouldn't get burned. Tsuyoshi had a good idea that he would probably end up throwing fire all over the place and probably end up setting everything on fire, but he didn't care. Well, he did care, but he couldn't let that kind of thing break his own facade showing hoe emotionally blank he was, even though he wasn't. Then again, he wondered what people would think if they knew that the guy who specialized in infiltration was learning how to throw fire from his mouth like a demon fire hydrant.

Tsuyoshi moved anything flammable that he cared about away from his body, since he had no idea what might happen next. If it went anything like his previous attempt, he might end up lighting everything on fire again. Not that that would be a bad, but setting himself on fire would be the most likely thing to happen. And that was no good at all. He stood up and got away from all his things, and tried to focus his chakra again. This time, he wasn't going to screw up. Or at least, he didn't plan to screw up. He built up the fire chakra again, and took a deep breath, ready for the inferno that was building inside of him. Then, he let the flames loose, making sure to not panic and to take far better control of his chakra. What he had expected to have happened was for a small fireball to have erupted from him, looked pretty, and then vanished. Quick, simple, and efficient. What he had not expected was for his focus to suddenly become completely centered, the chakra suddenly taking on a much more powerful form as it expanded outwards, creating a truly large fireball in front of him. The fire expanded outward, singing the grass and the nearby trees from the flames and the heat. Then, he ran out of breath. The flames died out, and his concentration broke so that he could start panting before he passed out from lack of air. Then he got a better look at what he had done; the grass had been burned, and some of it was still on fire. Tsuyoshi began stomping out the flames, making sure that they wouldn't burn everything else down around it. He also made sure that he hadn't set any trees on fire, since that would be kind of dangerous if any of the people in town saw it. Luckily, none of them were set aflame, but a few of the leaves were a bit singed. Oops. Still, it had been a success, and if he could use that again he'd be really well off. Tsuyoshi went back and began taking down specific notes regarding what he did and how he did it, making sure not to leave anything out that might help him out later in case he forgot what he had done. In this case, what he learned would be far more help than just guessing until he burned himself alive.

Well, that was easy enough. It appeared that after the previous success, Tsuyoshi was better able to manipulate the fire chakra that left his mouth. It seemed that his note taking strategy was working out! Even if it was a bad idea to take notes on paper made from wood when you were dealing with fire chakra. But hey, sometimes it paid off to take chances. He couldn't spend his time always being careful while he was training or he'd never get any better. He could go back to being careful once he was doing missions again. Or perhaps he would get a genin squad or something; it would be nice to actually do something noteworthy. Regarding the fire however, Tsuyoshi took special care to notice how it spread out, since flames were supposed to go where there was fuel. But because this was not natural fire, and instead made of chakra, he had some form of control over it. After all, it only needed his chakra in order to sustain itself. Did this mean he could somehow manipulate the was the fire moved by manipulating his chakra as well? If that was the case then he could manage to control the fire once it left his mouth, and thus would be far more dangerous. Even if he did want to be a master of genjutsu techniques, being a master of fire would be kind of cool. And it would be a bit different from his normal way of dealing with problems. He let the chakra he was holding over go, and began writing more notes in his journal. Surely with this new knowledge, he could experiment further. That was the point of all this after all, to experiment. As Tsuyoshi wrote furiously, he made sure to keep going back to check himself for errors. In his haste, he had noticed that he was continuing to make spelling errors, and the last thing he wanted to do was to mix himself up when he went back to look these notes over. Oh, if only he had thought to actually look in the library for notes on how to make techniques like this! Regardless, he continued to go back and edit his work, making sure to not leave anything messed up. Errors could not be tolerated, especially if he ever decided to give these notes to someone else! He would end up totally embarrassed, and he couldn't have that.

Once again flames leapt from his lips as his chakra left his body. By now, Tsuyoshi was doing more than well, and he felt that his method of transferring his chakra from his body to the outside world was getting smoothed out rather quickly. At the very least he was able to control it a bit better, and he hadn't lit himself or anyone else or anything else on fire just yet. It wasn't like there was a forest fire or anything... but he then realized he managed to set the ground on fire. Oops. He quickly moved to stomp it out, but it kept spreading before he could completely go away. For the next few minutes Tsuyoshi continued to stomp around, doing his best to get the grass to stop burning, or at the very least to stop smoldering. Because at the end of the day it was a bit annoying. How annoying? Really annoying. But in the end he stopped the fire from getting all the way over to the trees, or to anything that was even more flammable, or from getting over to his notes. Maybe he should have put it into a tree or something just to be sure... fire was quite dangerous and really annoying. Then, once it was safe again, he moved to begin writing what he had learned down, which basically came down to avoid setting things on fire accidentally in case it spread too quickly. This was why he liked genjutsu; it was manageable or at the very least controllable. Unlike this fire jutsu, which was akin to trying to control a typhoon in a bottle. Needless to say that regardless of the control he had over the fire inside of him, once it caught on on the ground, he was without any real way to manage it; the fire used any fuel it could find to continue its own survival and path of destruction. Maybe that was the point, but it was really annoying for Tsuyoshi, who preferred calm and controlled techniques that he could manipulate effectively. Yet, the whole point was to have techniques that went against his mold so that he wasn't just a one trick pony. Too often ninjas seemed to specialize, and Tsuyoshi refused to allow that to happen. He wanted to be the ninja that was unpredictable if his genjutsu was beaten somehow. Then again, if that happened, he would probably be doomed anyway.

Somehow, this was starting to get boring. Once again he tapered off the flames with his mouth, removing the energy source from the fire. It seemed that he was getting ever closer to actually mastering this jutsu, and like before it was becoming tedious rather quickly. He didn't want it to be tedious, and while he knew that there was still a bit of practicing to go, Tsuyoshi was already wishing that he could go back to exploring his options. He might not have liked surprises, but he did like learning new things. And besides, all of this training was for a good cause, even if it wasn't exactly useful to his otherwise one note set of talents. Flames weren't subtle, but they were hot; which he discovered as he suddenly realized that he had set his arm on fire. If he had been younger, this would have been a moment of panic; but at this point in his life, as a jounin, he wasn't exactly shocked by things like this. He had experienced things far worse than being set on fire, although he had luckily avoided catching his hair alight thus far. He really hoped he could keep it that way, since burns to the scalp were quite hard to recover from, even with medical jutsus.

Tsuyoshi was ready to be done with this. In fact, he was ready to move on as quickly as possible. However, even he couldn't have forseen what he was about to do. Without warning, he executed the same technique he had been practicing before; however this time when he did it, the flames exploded outward, creating a torrent of searing fire that scorched everything in his path. Granted, this was an accident on his part; he had given the flames too much fuel in his haste to actually be done with this technique. But it had been worth it; as the flames died down and he finished stomping out all the little embers that remained, he suddenly felt confident enough in his own abilities to move on. Surely he didn't need any more training with this part of the technique after two successes like that! Anything more would just be punishing the innocent grass and trees and flowers... or would have been punishment for them if he hadn't accidentally burned the ones in his area. He was definitely going to have to find a way to fix this before someone got angry at him; the last thing he needed was for the joy of his success to be ruined by someone wanting him to play gardener.

Alright, now there was only a third training session to deal with. Tsuyoshi had previously taken care of the first two parts, which had him actually creating the fire and then learning how to not set himself ablaze with it. Luckily, he hadn't needed to worry about it all that much. It seemed that there was some benefit in learning how to use other jutsu's first. For now though, Tsuyoshi was going to finish the last part of his jutsu, which meant that he had to learn to hit moving targets. Or at least, it meant that he had to work on keeping his concentration while using the jutsu for more than just firing it outward in a straight line. No sweat for someone like Tsuyoshi... right? He briefly checked his notes to make sure he wasn't about to give himself a painful injury before returning back to the spot that he had been practicing in. No use in setting anything else ablaze right? He had already killed enough plants with his last training session. Although, maybe after this he would move to a more... well, less flammable location. One that wouldn't leave evidence of his fiery practices after he was done trying to learn jutsus.

As he had expected, keeping his cool while control a stream of fire as it leapt from his mouth was easy enough. In fact, it was almost like child's play for him. Of course, this was to be expected, since the technique was usually learned by people who were much lower in rank than him. It was almost stupid that he was trying to learn how to do such techniques as a jounin; most of the other ninjas that he knew would probably expect him to be learned more sensor or genjutsu techniques. In reality, he probably should have been; but for now, he was enjoying the feeling of doing something other than those things. The flames that left his lips may not have been the hottest, or the most devastating, but they were accurate. And that's what this particular training session was all about; accuracy. Well, it was about his concentration too, but he needed to concentrate in order to be accurate. If he lost his concentration, there was no way he'd be able to use this technique in any kind of combat situation, because there would be no way to hit anything. The stream of fire, and what it hit, were completely dependent on his ability to keep his concentration. As such, it only made sense that this was what he was practicing now. If only he had teammates or someone to try to aim for; it would make this a bit more exciting.

Once again Tsuyoshi found that keeping control over his own mind was just as easy as throwing fire from his lips. Which actually struck him as quite odd, since most people didn't throw fire from their bodies like this. Even so, he found himself to not be having too much of a problem with the execution. As the flames licked around his face before they flew outward at his command, he briefly thanked himself that he didn't have overly long hair to suddenly get set alight. Hair was particularly flammable as it were. Regardless, Tsuyoshi was quickly getting bored with just making the flames go in a circle. As such, he did the rational thing that anyone with a brain would do, and began to try and make it go into a figure eight. Sure, it wasn't exactly daring; but there was a lot of time left to train. He was far from having perfected the technique that he was trying to make happen. But there was a certain enjoyment that Tsuyoshi got from moving the fire that was made from his chakra around. It was almost like he was a young kid playing with a toy with how much fun he was having. Then he remembered that he was supposed to be training and that meant that he was supposed to be serious. Setting himself ablaze was all that was going to happen if he let his fun ruin his concentration.

Before long, it was clear that switching between the figure eight and the circle, and even the straight line, was losing its appeal for Tsuyoshi. It was just becoming overly mundane, if mundane could ever be used to describe what happens when a man throws fire from his body. His chakra manipulation was flawless by this point; only his own mind kept teetering on the edge of being able to distract him. That was the real test here; could his own boredom, brought on by all this training, distract him from his current task and cause him to mess up? Thus far it hadn't, but the chance was always there. Now, it was time for something new. Tsuyoshi began to manipulate the flames into a square formation which one might think was quite easy, seeing as it was just four straight lines. But to make it challenging enough to keep it as training, Tsuyoshi made the square around himself. This meant that he had to move the rest of his body while also keeping the flames straight. If he messed up, they would probably burn his legs, or set some other part of his body on fire. Flames were dangerous, even if they were from his own body. Regardless, for now he wasn't having a problem... but that little voice of boredom was already starting up again.

Surprisingly enough, Tsuyoshi found that manipulating the fire around his body in a square formation was quite simple, provided he only turned himself in ninety degrees. After all, doing it in a circle was simple... yet it too contained dangers. Like accidentally turning the square or the circle formation into a spiral that eventually engulfed him and turned him into a flaming effigy. Luckily, his concentration held, even as his mind wandered slightly. It was like dangling on the edge of a cliff, where letting his own boredom get the better of him was truly dangerous. Still, as he let the flames die out, Tsuyoshi remembered that he had been keeping a journal. So he immediately went back to that, making sure to note all the problems, and lack of them in very well written and excruciating detail. This was probably for the best, since if Tsuyoshi's luck held, it would come in handy in the future. It made him wonder why he hadn't thought of writing down such progress in the past, at least until he remembered that in his younger years he got bored far too easily. Now however, he was far more focused, and he could put that focus to good use.

Now that he was done recording things in his journal, Tsuyoshi got back up and returned to his practice spot. With what he had done thus far recorded for posterity, he could now focus on dealing with more... complex maneuvers. It was time to stop acting like he was a genin or chunnin again. It was time to start acting like the jounin that he was, and start making things more difficult and more complicated. He took a few deep breaths, centering himself before once again breathing out the fire that he had practiced so much already. As the flames left his mouth, he began to move them not just on the ground, but into the air as well, creating a torrent of flame above him. The heat was intense, but nothing he couldn't deal with. In fact, the heat was part of his training regimen this time; Tsuyoshi was attempting to keep his cool even while he was being exposed to intense heat from his own flames. This was decided whether or not he could deal with using the jutsu at close range, or if it would have to be used only at mid to long range. As luck would have it, neither the heat nor the flames affected him all that much; it seemed his focus was far greater than he had given himself credit for.

This time, it was important that Tsuyoshi push himself. If he didn't test his own limits, he'd never know how the technique could be used when it was time to try it in actual combat. And while the whole point of this training was to be able to hit moving targets and to keep one's concentration, it was also about testing his own creativity and his own limits. First, he tested distance, adjusting the angle at which he fired the flames from his body to change the distance. Then, he tried to test the power of it, trying to fire the flames forward as far as he could. Then, he began trying to see how fast he could adjust the flow of the flames, since if he was going to be hitting a moving target he needed to be able to do it without breaking his concentration. He maneuvered the flames in various patterns, from circles to squares to triangles to more complex shapes that were created by overlapping the shapes with the flames. All in all he was able to do this without breaking his concentration, and once again he was beginning to get bored. If only this was more than just a stream, perhaps then the flames would actually be able to make him break his concentration.

With one last blast of flames, Tsuyoshi released the another rendition of the jutsu. Once the flames finally died out, and he was sure that any embers had been properly stomped out or buried in the dirt, he made his way back to his ever present notebook and began writing down everything that he had learned. He finally considered every aspect of this jutsu well and truly learned. At the very least, he found himself quite bored with his constant repetition. He craved something more interested, something more powerful or challenging. Now that he had managed to perfect this technique, or made it as perfect as he cared to make it, he could move on. Tsuyoshi closed the notebook and put his pen back in his pocket; it was clear he had learned a lot. Well, learned how to make fire jutsu anyway. He got up and stretched his legs, groaning as he realized how many more techniques he could possibly learn. Sure he had managed to figure this one out with enough time and energy... but he hadn't really even made a dent in how much he could have learned by now. With his own excitement well and truly buried, he began contemplated what his next move would be.
