"What were you thinking about?" Amira questioned, nudging Nato a little with her nose.
Despite her playful attitude, Amira was still worried about the other fox. Although he was trying to act normally, he still seemed a little different. Perhaps it had something to do with the addition of Shai to the tribe. Amira shook her head a little. That wasn't possible. There was no reason for Nato to be unhappy about the tribe's growth. Right?

"Oh its nothing." Nato stood and began walking away from the cave.
"I think I'm going to go get a bit more of some night air to clean my head." He looked over his shoulder giving Amira an apologitic look. "Anjafey, when you're not busy, I need to talk with you." He looked over at her. "If you don't mind" he added in. Then he turned and began to walk towards the river lost deep in thought.

Anjafey looked up in concern. Nodding, she turned to the others. "I guess I'll be back later, then." She licked Rendo on the cheek before heading out with Nato. His behavior was worrying her; what was the matter? She caught up with him and sat down at the river bank, waiting for him to open conversation.

Nato looked around to make sure they were alone and then stared down at the water.
"I'm so...confused. My feelings are all weird. I'm not sure what to do. When Shai came today and Kazuki said that Amira would be working with him and she smiled and he smiled and he's ok, don't get me wrong, and she'll be off with him and..." Nato stopped rambling to realize that he had lost all since of grammar and that his sentences weren't making any since.

Anjafey smiled softly. "You have feelings for her, don't you?" She knew that's what he was trying to say. "And you're becoming jealous."

Nato looked up at Anjafey.
"I might. But why should I be jealous? Its her choice. I should be happy no matter who she chooses. And its her job. I shouldn't be jealous." He looked down at the water again a very serious look on his face. "I don't think she likes me like I like her." he whispered to the water. Looking up, he sighed. "What should I do Anja?"

Anjafey smiled softly, looking at their reflections in the water. "Shai doesn't like her in that way. It's written in his body language clear as day." She paused, then added, "Tell her Nato.The worst she can do is say no. Although judging form her concern for you, I can't honestly say that she would say no. You'll have to ask her."

Kazuki looked up at Shai ran off. He hoped the other fox would be ok. Though he did worry. The fox seemed to be one to get involved a lot in other things. Kazuki sighed, mainly from beign tired and noticed Ari worried look. It seemed Ari wanted to get up and get soem of the meat. Kazuki went and grabed one of the bodys. He was sure the others wouldnt mind. He draged it over to Ari and set it down gently.
"Food for you and your...daughter." He realised he had hesitated in sayign daughter but hoped Ari wouldnt notice. He sat down perpendicular to Ari not wanting to upset the kit by thinking he was taking her father away from her mother. No he didn't need that. He tore into the meat slowly. Kind of just forced. He didn't feel to hungry anymore.

Shai ran past trees. He didn't want the bear to hurt the human or his new tribe. Shai smelled water. A lake? Yes! Shai skidded to a halt and leapt into a bush just as the bear was about to claw him. Shai shook in fear. What was he doing? He was risking his life! But Shai leapt from the bush and ran on. The bear followed, not smelling the lake close by.
Shai growled and stopped running on the edge of the lake. Snarling he snapped around and barked. "Come and get me you big furball!" He cried out. The bear roared and rushed forward towards Shai. Shai leapt away but he felt a tugging. Snapping around he screeched. The bear had him by his tail! Both bear and fox fell into the lake. The bear wouldn't let Shai go.
I knew something bad would happen! Shai's mind raced. He twisted and turned in the bears grasp, but the water made his movement slowed. Suddenely the bear gave a jerk and relased Shai. It was dead, finally.
Shai wringled to the surface and gasped for air. A raven flew over him. The tattoo raven. It cackled and landed on his nose.
"Good work my friend. Come to my little cave and I will give you a tattoo showing your bravry." He croaked out. Shai flipped his head and swam to the edge of the lake, tired and in pain. The raven flew into a tree and while leaving croaked out. "Your like your father, Shai!"
"Wait!" Shai cried out, wincing in pain. What does he know of my father?

"I know Shai doesn't like her. But," He gave another sigh "Ah. This is making my head hurt." He closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of the night when he heard a gaint roar followed by a yelp and a splash down stream.
As quickly as his body would allow, Nato jumped up and ran in the direction of the sounds. He skidded to a halt as he saw Shai walking towards the woods with his tail a bloody mess.((Well I assume he's bleeding since a bear got him. Sorry if he isn't))
"Shai!" He called out running over to the foxes side. "What happend? Here, sit down and I'll take care of your tail and anything else that hurts." Nato was a bit frantic in his words seeing as how the fox was bruised up pretty bad as well.

"I killed a bear!" He cried out. His tail flicked a little, causing droplets of blood to hit Nato. Shai looked at Nato, delighted. He winced as he turned to look at him.
"Don't be frantic, Nato." Shai said, re-calling Nato's name. "It hurts, a lot. But I won't die." Shai said. Which wasn't true. He did not know that if the bleeding wasn't stopped, he would die.

Nato looked at Shai in disbelief.
"You killed a bear?!" Wow. This guy was stronger than he had imagined. He looked to Shai's tail and other parts of him and figured that Shai was either really good at handling pain and some how knew something he didn't about staying alive or that the had no clue that if he didn't do something fast he could bleed to death.
"Please sit. You're losing a lot of blood. If you lose to much of it you will die." Nato looked around for some leaves and vines but did the first thing that came to him instentivly; He began to lick Shai's wounds.

"Thank you, Kazuki," Ari said, before starting to tear into the meat, hungry again after running all over the place, making sure that nothing bad had happened to Kazuki, back when he had Nato had disappeared for a bit. Maybe he had been foolish for worrying so much, but if anything ever happened to Kazuki...He didn't know, but it wouldn't be good.
But Ari wondered at the distance Kazuki was placing between them. Was it because of Sigal? He didn't think his daughter would mind. She seemed to understand that he and Heartbreak were never going to be together. Although she did seem lonely...He wondered if having another parent would help her. Would Kazuki even want to help him raise Sigal, though? Even if she looked much more like her mother, it was still obvious that Ari was also her father...Could Kazuki deal with that, knowing he, Ari, had had a kit with another fox? Even one he didn't love?

Kazuki continued to kind of just peck at his food. He reall had lost his appitite. He sighed and got up a bit.
"I think I shall go heads towards the mountians..." Kazuki then began to head that way. He needed to clear his thoughts. It was going to be though having to be so distant from Ari. He didn't want to be. Though it hurt to be so close...Giving off another big sigh she continued to walk his head down low his eyes glued to the ground.
