"No point." Zen murmured, all of these strangers were pouring out of the portal, Zen realized there was no point in im sticking around here, his partners appeared to have long since left, hopefully they didn't die while Zen flew threw some ortal to be a spectator. "Ladies and Gents I bid you farewell." Zen replied, most of them probably wouldn't hear him, if any, he didn't yell he just felt it was something worth saying.

FOOMP!
Something came out just as the portal was closing.
It was a bird?
It was a plane?
It was... oh s**t!
It was a Ford. And it crashed down across the square in a massive wreck. The only thing that made it recognizable as a car anymore was the rear seat. Everything else had been ******** up to hell and back by what that car had been through.
But at least the hostage was out of the trunk.

Just after Vahn, Eileen appeared, sliding out of the portal lying on her side in a fetal position, Sentaku tucked tight into her embrace. She stayed that way. It was comfortable...and it was needed.

Rage waved with his hand, letting Owle go. If there was one thing he had learned, it was to do just that. It was okay to be a big brother, but Owle had proven now, once and for all, that she could take care of herself.
In the meantime, he grabbed Owle's medical supplies that had presumably ended up on his Pile Of Stuff (tm). Pulling out that crap they usually used to stitch wounds, he started on the gash in his shoulder, using his left hand and his mouth to hold the string.
He looked over at the dead body he had brought out with him. "I know you're hating me for this right now, but someday you'll understand. Even the student can be the teacher."

"I'm fine."
He answered mechanically, even as he stared out with both eyes open, either not caring for the consequences or lacking the strength to keep his left eye closed.
"I didn't even do anything." Except make a fool out of himself.
The day was over, and people were picking themselves up. How many times had he been there to watch the world on the brink of madness, only to pull itself together at the last instant?
Yet... this wasn't the same feeling he got like always.
The Viceroy. Tadashi. Even Victor.
What they wanted was justice, wasn't it? And now he didn't even know what he was fighting for; a place that didn't even recognize him and was alien to him?
He'd grown up, doing his best to adjust, even as he knew he could never return to how it was.
He had thought the Stadium was his home, but after he'd given himself up to save it... he'd become disillusioned with what it was he was actually supposed to be doing in life.
The woman before him now... Rage to the side-- all of that.
And he simply pushed himself up, pressing a hand to his wounded stomach, not getting any response from his other arm.
"Go home Owle. It's been a long three days."
He spoke to her, moving past her with some supreme effort on his part.

He'd unwillingly break Disa's fall, his cigarette flying off somewhere, forever to be missed.
He nearly fell facefirst into the ground, loosing hold of the crop and orb in his left hand- the crop would skitter a few feet away while the orb would roll a couple extra feet.
He thought the damn car had somehow been sucked into the portal and fell on him but, luckily, it was that frail little white mage that was so fond of the dog, Cerberus.
"Ey! Watch it- important cargo."
Regardless of wether or not she was still on top of his back or not, he'd rise to his feet. Slowly, so as not to jostle the poor girl.
"When it comes to portals, you really need to watch wh-"
DOOM.
He winced- the sportscar. It hadn't landed on him, so everything was okay.
He took a few steps forward and scooped up the crop and orb with care before scanning the area, looking for the big man they'd nearly ran the sportscar into earlier...

Disa slid off Stryphe's back to land on her feet. "Sorry, Mr. Epothos." Seeing that he was alright and had other business to attend to, she made her way over to James. "Mr. Black, are you alright?"

"You can walk away for now, Vahn, but I'll find you again.
"I always will. Looking for my ultimate opponent."
It was the closest thing Rage would get to 'in another life I could have called you friend' moments, and he said it through clenched teeth as he finished sewing up his wound. All that was left was to cauterize it.
"Better pay his tab, too," he added to himself.

Ai Leen Just after Vahn, Eileen appeared, sliding out of the portal lying on her side in a fetal position, Sentaku tucked tight into her embrace. She stayed that way. It was comfortable...and it was needed. Lyendi was unable to go with Eileen due to her condition but was relieved that she had returned. Slowly she made her way to the girl who was in a fetal position and dropped to her knees, "Eileen, are you ok?", she asked shaking her by the shoulders lightly. Lyendi felt guilty for not being able to acquire another marble and gone with her but she most definitely would not be able to live with herself if Eileen dies right before her eyes.

"I didn't even do anything."
"Welcome to my world."
Vahn was used to being the one to save the day, to factor in on a grand scale. Owle was just a grain of rice on those balance scales...
But she knew even a little weight could tip the odds in their favor. Vahn had come through the portal, and was probably giving himself too little credit.
Especially considering he'd saved plenty of innocent people from deaths by Blob monster and Paper Golem. ...including her.
"Go home Owle. It's been a long three days."
Impulsively, Owle reached out and grabbed his arm with her only working one.
"Come with me."
She knew how it must sound; but it wasn't an invitation into her bed.
"Besides, do you have any place else you need to be? Tonight?"

Gamma stood, finally, and shrugged free of the jacket. Folding it up neatly despite the numerous holes, tears, gashes, rips and dried blood, and hung it over his left shoulder. The chainsaw followed it, resting the bloodspattered case on the jacket over the shoulder.
Watching, he walked over some short distance and picked up the still burning cigarette. Lifting the mask till it was over his head with a knuckle, Gamma jammed the cigarette into his mouth and inhaled.
Five second rule.
He'd look square at Stryphe as he picked up the crop and orb. He'd look to crop, and back to the man holding it. "Been three days since I've had a cigarette."
Not to mention all the people and things he'd killed in the name of nicotine. Dressed for the occasion, too. Long sleeved white dress shirt with a reddish brown left sleeve. A vest with a front that was just loose fabric held together with dried blood. And a gash in his right pant leg which lead to the smear of blood to his knee.
Talk about fashion.

".......haaa...?" Eileen stirred slowly, as if from sleep, though by the redness of her eyes this was not the case. The young lieutenant turned her head and looked up at Lyendi. "...hai." She took a deeeeeep breath, closing her eyes and stretching lightly. "......i-i'm just tired." She glanced down, then snugged Sentaku closer to her once again.

Kanashimi Kurai "Mr. Black, are you alright?" James stood up, dripping wet with rivers running down his back and arms from the fountain water soaking him to the bone. But he smiled, roguishly, and responded with confidence. "I've had worse." Then his left leg gave out and he fumbled into the water again with a tremendous splash.

"I don't have anywhere to go."
She grabbed at him and he winced mentally. He couldn't bear to stare at her right now.
Even if the invitation was full of a promise of bed and a personal bath, he wasn't being phased.
True enough, he was used to 'being the big man', doing stuff and leadin' the charge and being admired or hated by others.... but it was his way of expressing himself... or making his reason for being here or anywhere valid.
Childish probably... but hey, so what. He'd been forced to stay as a child ever since that day.
And right now, his confidence was completely shattered. Everyone left the event grateful to be back and happy to be alive, but he had come off it finally realizing just how alone and out of place he was.
The goddamned Vahn had gone goddamned emo.

Disa snorted and shook her head. "I'll take that as a resounding 'no.' Please, let me help you." Men and their pride. She climbed into the fountain, kneeling at his side so that she could run her hands along his left leg to feel for injuries. "It's not broken, is it?"
