"Ahh..." -He gave a soft knowing nod, before looking back down to the young kit gently. The stories he heard about some of the other prides were sickening.. and to see the effects of it was something he hoped not to have to deal with. However.. this little one had made it out of that hell, so perhaps at the very least a better life lie ahead for the young one. Streching out, trying to look as possible unintimidating as such a large lion could he gave a gentle smile to the kit.-
"How terrible for her.. and any other child for that matter.. Have you both come to the Pridelands for refuge then?" -Laughing a little lightly he added, to lighten the mood.- "It may look a little soggy and dreary at the moment, but it really is a wonderful place. Plenty to eat and drink. Tons of green grasses and places to live."

"This is Taku's first time here...but it is not mine..." The young kit gathered some of the courage that was starting to form, now understanding this lion did not mean her any harm and spoke to him. "Aunt Chakavu has been here a lot of times mister lion sir....she's been here since that other king used to rule!" The crow chuckled. "She means your father Mufasa...I know it is you....you have your fathers good looks..." ((G2G sorry))

((It's alright we can pick up some other time. :3 I have to go do the horse thing anyways.))
-His attention went back and forth as the two spoke, nodding in understanding, and laughing gently with the soft 'compliment' from the avian.- "You were here for that as well? My that's been a long while. But I appreciate the comment."
-Turning his attention back to the kit he asked curiously.- "What about you Taku? How many years have you graced upon the earth? I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find young one around your age for you to play with.. though they may not be fox like you.. You're something of a unique sight deep within the plains."

Athari had initially made himself as small as possible at first sight of the massive lion, not quite sure what to make of him. He's even bigger than MOM was... He thought, eyes narrowing slightly even as his lip curled up, a sure sign of his unease. He hung back, staying virtually hidden behind Taku and waiting to see exactly what this....lion would end up doing.
((but now y'all are goinggggg! ;.; xd *has bad timing*))

Sukutu yawned lazily as he drew nearer to the entrance of the den, pausing just inside the lip of the cave to shake the rain from his fur. He glanced in Nala's direction for a moment, shrugging and wandering towards one of the walls to curl up and wait to dry.

Weary of hearing the demands and too tired to care much for challenges, Kitwana merely threw a sneer the lioness' way, a sort of nod implied.
He would keep the lazy princess alive for now, but damned if he would keep her conscious. Her words angered him, and now the words of the newcomer affected him likewise. He was not her slave to be tossed about where she felt. He would do it in his own sweet time.
Tapping Dama on the back with one paw, and casting a glance at the youngster landing in their midst, the adolescent turned to leave once more, gripping the cub again in his jaws. He would return for Mwezi once Dama and the b*****d cub were sheltered, and he felt she had suffered long enough. The girl deserved a chill, bring it back home to whom she owed her life. He had the skills to survive, he the knack to hunt. He was superior to his former master, and revelled in the knowledge.

*simba blinks in confusion...it seems like during the storm...he shakes his head and gasps, his breaths coming out shortly...he feels dizzy...Simba raises his right paw slightly and touches his head. he winces*
"ow! grrr...growls..."
*simba plops back down onto the cave floor, and closes his eyes...*
flashback: his eyes are closing...but he shakes himself up...the shock from the last lightning has passed, but the rain still pours unto the earth as if heaven itself is crying.
he gives a fain groan...
Simba wipes his sleepy eyes, and slowly settles into his mother's arms...it is warm where he is....and freezing outside...his eyes slowly droops shut...and then a brilliant flash of light sears his vision.
simba's eyes burst open. giving a small growl, simba slowly climbs onto his feet, and by the time he gets up, his panting heavily...his bright eyes sweeps through the entire cave....and.......where's daddy????*

Taku blushed slightly and smiled up at him, her tail wagging slightly as iyt beat against the rain drops that beat against the land. "I'm a year old sir...I'm only young...still a pup!" Chakavu smiled at her before stretching her wings and looking at Mufasa. "But even if she is young...she is very strong for her age...talking of young...I've heard that your pride has been blessed with a young one...the heir I beleive?"

-He laughed a little softly at her enthusiasm, catching sight of the other young one hidden back. He turned to the crow though, not wanting to frighten the little leopard cub either, before he nodded strongly, sending a few stray raindrops from his mane to the ground below.-
"We've been blessed with so many young ones in the past year or two. Both ours and rouge young that have come seeking refuge. But yes... I have a son of my own now. Simba. He's very young, even more so then Taku and I'm afraid I haven't got to spend as much time with him as I should.." -He sighed a little on that thought, before shaking it away.- "Perhaps when he's a tiny bit older and needs more then just his mother."

The crow smiled and sighed heavily as she fluttered her wings of some stray raindrops that fell on her, she then watched at Taku started to follow some ants that marched on in the rain, before turning back to the lion. "The years have gone by so fast....I can still remember the day when you and your brother were born....but then again....I remember when your father was an adolescent" Taku looked up at the crow and blinked slightly before smiling. "You must be really old then Chakavu!" The crow laughed at her comment and then looked at the child. "You may be swift young one...but so is that tongue of yours...now go and play with the ants like you were.." The kit smiled before running of after the tiny insects, smiling happily.

Lightning Shadow X Taku looked over at Athari and smiled before running over to the edge of the tree and smiling at him happily. "Hi Athari...did you fall asleep or soemthin'?"
