Shyam waved as Akiya landed. "Glad to see you could make it, braving that storm around the Tavern like you did!.

"I also agree that we should head out. I've been wet and cold enough these last few days, and I sure don't want to catch a cold like the Ogre. So let's give this a try."

So no one would get left behind, Shyam decided it was best not to ride the Chocobo. As they walked along, the rogue took the time to study each of his companions. The white-haired, golden-eyed monk seemed formidable. Odilen seemed very nice and on task for a bard. The Angel seemed nice, but seemed to keep to himself somewhat, haggard from being the errand boy today. The fox-girl seemed nice, but was also quick, lithe, and ready to help a friend. And then there was the Half-ogre, who seemed to have brute strength and stamina onhis side, though he seemed to be fighting with himself as much as with the world around him. Then there was himself, the young rogue who wasn't sure about anything on this continent and all of the weird animals, hybrids, summons, and familiars, but he possessed all of the skills of his craft. It was so fun and exciting, and he couldn't wait to see what new things would continue to be thrown at him. This was the best of times for a young adventurer.

Mirror, noticing that he was being talked to, turned his head to Quinn and grinned to her, "I'm sure I'll be fine now, Quinn. I've slept a lot already and my mind is rested. I don't want to seem like I'm being lazy or anything. I'll ask you if I can ride on Therin, though, when I get tired again. Thank you kindly for your offer." Then, feeling himself smiled at, Mirror turned his gaze upwards to smile warmly back at Akiya. He was growng rather fond of the angel just as he had with all his other new friends. Friendship was a new concept for him and he embraced it eagerly and dearly.

South? Alright. That was maybe...Hmm, twenty or so minutes of navigating through the mazof Durem. They'd be there in no time. Flapping his tiny wings for a moment as he stepped into pace, staying near to Akiya all the meanwhile, the Al Sylian looked over at the new companions. Junkan he knew from past events, although he never met him personally, but the other one he hadn't ever seen him before. Mirror lifted a brow and then waved slightly to him when he noticed that the man was looking at him. He wanted to let the man know what he was a friend.

Upon arriving twenty two minutes later in the southern area of Durem, Mirror began to look around for someone to ask for Vincent's whereabouts. The trick was asking the right people. A market man wasn't going to know. A gambler or lady would, however. Keeping his golden eyes open, the Al Sylian scavenged the crowds.

Seeing the Al Sylian wave, Shyam's face split into an infectious smile and he waved back, continuing to enjoy his growing grup of friends and acquaintances. There were so many good people, it was sometimes so hard to find them all. But this sure was a good start!

Quinn mounted Therin, overtaken a bit with the melancholy that had struck her. She catagorized Junkan as a strange dichotomy of friend, pet and baby and now he hated her! It was like having your best friend, childhood dog and first born push you in the mud all on the same day.

She went where the others led and they would just have to pardon her her silence.

((Hopefully that sets me up for not being here...))

Well, now it seemed like the half ogre was leading. Which wasn't really a good thing. Since he had no idea where they were going, what they were looking for, or who he was supposed to squish. Not a single freakin' clue. All he knew was to go south. That he was feeling like crap. And that Quinn was trying to kill him.

He moved listlessly, shuffling forward, dragging his feet, his body slum, ped lower than normal. South, he kept moving, his sickness and his bulk managing to keep most people away from him on the streets. He did look fairly thuggish, after all.

So where were they going? Lilith was no help, as she nestled on his shoulder, feeling as sick and as tired as the druid himself. It seemed all she could do just to nap and force herself to relax and heal. Spoo, well, Spoo seemed healthy, though terrorfied witless as Junkan carried him on his shoulder. He was clinging to his neck tightly, trembling, and muttering about "Too fast".

Akiya moved as the group moved. He wasn't used to this part of Gaia and honestly had no idea where this so called red light district was located. Not that it sat well with him anyway that they were going there. Granted, he had no problems with it. he wasn't a prude. But it wasn't his favorite place to be.. long story that. Making sure that Mirror was close by him at all times, he looked around carefully, taking in everything they could see.

Where they looking for a person or a place? He would have to ask one of them sooner or later... but it seemed there was a general plan in motion. Least he rather hoped there was one.

Shyam had only been in town for a few days now, but he'd wandered the whole town over, a couple of times... now he just hoped that it would help them out.

He wandered to the front with Junkan, keeping a wary eye on him, while scanning the area around them, on their way southward. There were so many people moving around in these morning hours, that there was little hope to notice Vincent just out in the street, but he hoped, nonetheless. Not to mention, keeping an eye out for paper lanterns.

Suddenly, he got an idea. "When we get nearer to the Southern end of town, if you flyers don't mind, we should have you fly up to the rooftops so you can look down on the area from above. You don't have to exhaust yourself, but maybe if you looked around that part of town from the rooftops, you might see things that we'll miss. Plus, you might be able to cover more ground, quicker. The rest of us should split up, and find a central hub where we can meet back in 30-60 minutes to report back. And we should travel in pairs, so if he's found, one of us can stay and talk to him, while the other returns to find the rest of our group.

"Anyone have any preferences on how to split up,"Shyam offered up his suggestion to the rest of the group for their approval or disagreement.

"Not really. Whatever is most efficient," Odilen said with a shrug, stifling a yawn. Her dozing on a table in the casino hadn't been very good sleep at all, and it was starting to catch up to her as she walked along, Spark in her arms and BoCo perched on her head. "I can't really fly, but if I get up high enough I can glide for short periods of time..."

Mirror's tufted ears pricked up when the new man mentioned the word, 'Flyers'. Flyers? Mirror wondered. Well, he and Akiya were the only ones that could fly. Unless there was someone holding back on them, that is. Giving a glance up to the others, Mirror confessed with a flap of his wings, agreeing to the new man's idea.

"Perhaps we could do that. Akiya and I could take to the air and see if we could spot the chap from above. I don't know this city well however, this is my first time in this part of Gaia. Then the rest of us could possibly split into groups of...Hm. Junkan with Quinny, and Odelin and...You sir, I haven't quite caught your name yet. Pardon me." Glancing around with his bright golden eyes as he waited for a response from the man, Mirror threw his glance to find somewhere note-worthy. Suddenly, a splash of red caught his attention. There was a store on the corner with red decorations and the sweet smell of food. To Mirror, it looked like a ramen resturant. Pointing out the area, the Al Sylian suggested, "Perhaps we can meet back there in forty-five minutes time? Thirty minutes to locate the dandy and fifteen minutes to get back. If we lose track of the time, we could just look at the clock tower. And if we lose track of where we are, we can follow the aroma of food. Now, does that sound alright?"

"Forgive my rudeness, my name is Shyam. And, mmmm, yeah this would be an easy place to find. I like the way your mind works," He couldn't help but smile at the monk and the mention of food. They might all be very hungry since it seemed they'd been looking for Vincent for a while.

"Does anyone actually need a food break? Akiya and I got a chance to grab something to eat at the Tavern, and I think Junkan was fed by Quinn's ministrations, though may not be full. The rest of you look like you need to take care of yourselves! If you want, a small break won't kill you.

"If not, then Odilen and I could head South by South-West, and Quinny, you and Junkan could head South by South-East to search. And that would leave Mirror and Akiya to split the areas over our head. And Odilen, if you want to glide around instead of walking... I wouldn't blame you."

"Shyam, what a nice name. I'm Mirror. Wonderful to meet your acquaintance!" The Al Sylian happily replied. "I'm actually not hungry, but I probably will be after we return. Akiya?"

The boy began to float up into the air, hovering five inches above the ground.

Quinn looked positively wretched when it was suggested that she go with Junkan. Apparently, all the others hated her too and they wanted them to be alone together so he could eat her! Sniffling a little, she led Therin over to Shyam, "Do you, by chance, happen to have something of Vincent's that might carry his smell? Therin might be able to scent him out that way. Also, I do not know what Vincent looks like and I fear Junkan has no memory for faces, how will we know if we find him?"

Akiya looked over at Quinn and smiled. "Look for a chap that has rather bright and flashy attire. Vincent is what I suppose one would call goodlooking.. but he has rather interesting tastes in clothing.." His nose wrinkled a bit as he recalled his outfit at the Festival... "he may come to ladies.. he seems like he finds pleasure with female company..." Though that was said with a thoughtful tone from what he had seen during the Fesitval. But it wasn't his place to say anything.

"Sure.. with the clearer air and no rain, it'll be much easier to try to find him... The sooner we find Saevem, the sooner we might be able to find some answers..." But he was studying Odilen for a moment, rubbing his chin in thought. She seemed tired.. but that wasn't what had his attention. Something about her... it would be too forward to ask if she would know Koni, would it? He did speak of the Iledi race... maybe later. "The sooner we move, the sooner we return... good luck everyone!"

"Good luck!"

Taking that as a que, Mirror ascended into the sky with a twirl and waited in the rooftops for his large friend Akiya to call upon his wings and meet him at his current height. He watched the others though, etching their appearance from above into his memory as to pick them out easily in crowds. The Al Sylian was keeping a watch on Quinny and Junkan though. Those two seemed as if they were mad at each other or something. Twisting his slight mouth into a frown, he made sure they were going to be alright before he turned his head to Akiya and called to him.

"Akiya?" He asked as he watched his friend climb into the air, "Would you like to take South-East and I the South-West? If we spot him we could signal each other with our arms. I wouldn't want to drag undesired attention to ourselves with shouting. But that means we'd have to be able to see each other as we search, so we must make sure that we are able to view each other's actions at all times. Durem isn't that large, eh?" The Al Sylian seemed optimistic after a good day's rest.

Shyam was thoughtful for a moment, and remembered the card that Vincent had given him. He pulled it out of his pocket, doing his best to hide the info on it at he held it out for Therin to smell.

"He only touched this card briefly, as did another merchant and myself... so I'm not sure if it will be enough, but that really is a good idea Quinn. And Akiya described his as best as anyone could. He really fits the typical description of a Dandy. Good luck with Junkan," he gave her an apologetic smile. He then glanced up at the Clock Tower, noting the time. 45 minutes wasn't long, so they'd have to get a move on.

"Well, if everyone's okay with that, let's split up and eat later then." Shyam nodded to Odilen, let's give this a try, shall we?" He took off down the street, careful to match his stride with his companions. "Let's try to go up and down every street , making sure not to miss a single one, looking high and low. I'm going to do my best to see inside buildings as well, to see if there's any chance we catch sight of him or the paper lanterns.

"When this is over, I really want to get to know everyone better," he said, his eyes scanning all around them.
