I think Cloud loved both of them, and that was his dillema which kept him from putting a move on either of them. Then when Sephiroth killed Aerith, he basically limited Cloud's choices to Tifa.
I'm not sure which one he loved more. I'd say it might have been Tifa, but I'd assume he loved both of them.

I believe he truly did love aeris, but im not too sure since it came across like he wanted tifa too, oh well he was made from mako i think the tifa thing was just his memories from that zack guy.

It's hard.
If you dated Tifa you see that he liked her and if you dated Aeris well...he liked her too.
I was actually glad when Aeris died so...I'm for the Tifa/Cloud fans and such, but because of Aeris it made it failer.
Now if you watch AC its kinda odd because Marline and Tifa fight about if he loved Aeris and what not. pirate

Ya i agree...i think its pretty safe to say Cloud didnt like Yuffie...but between Aeris and Tifa...thats kinda a tuffy...though i would have to say Tifa...she was Cloud's friend from way back...and u could tell he liked her...Aeris on the other hand...was the type where he actually prolly would of questioned weither or not he liked her...but ultimately he would of chose Tifa

I have to say I am still a Cloud/Aeris fan even after watching Advent Children and Last Order.
If anything the additional footage proved Cloud does not have the mind set to commit to anyone.
Last Order did salitify the childhood crush a little bit but only in this one scene between Cloud and Tifa that to be honest was not accurate to the game. (LO had a lot of those) I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it.
As for AC, Tifa seems to have almost out grown Cloud... yeah, she cares for him but that brother/sister relationship really shines in AC. (I'm so proud of Tifa... she really grows up in AC. YAY! Tifa has an emotional spine!) She acts more annoyed with him then anything else. And after seeing Zack in action a little more in both movies I can say it really helps me support my ideal pairing of Tifa/Zack.
As for Aeris in AC... I have to say, I got to see a little more of a platonic on Aeris' side. There is unarguably grievance on Cloud's side and there's what I feel to be a definate yearning for her but Aeris' affections in AC seem more motherly (probably why Cloud called her mother towards the end). This supports anti-Aeris theory that Aeris only loved Cloud for the "Zack" in him but a line Zack says throws that... "Oh come on, isn't it nice to be yearned for?" Almost as if he's stepping aside.
Damn you Square Enix! You left even more questions with AC and LO!

If Cloud took Zack's life as his own, then the "love" he probably felt for Aeris wasn't real, but an emotion that belonged to someone else. I think he still liked Tifa as she was the one he was trying to impress the whole time before leaving Nibelheim...I'm a big Cloud/Tifa fan, but the line in this is ambiguous, so I'm going to say he definitely TRULY loved Tifa more, and Aeris as a sister.

If he was liking someone cause of his memories of zack it would have been Aeris not Tifa zack liked aeris, aeris liked zack, and cloud liked tifa, tifa liked cloud, yuffie liked materia, sephiroth loved his sword, that summs it up (sorry but i had to throw sephiroth in)

After seeing FFVII AC, it pretty much told everything about Cloud's feelings and what Aeris and Tifa felt as well.
*SPOILER ALERT*
In the movie it does show that Cloud really did love Aeris, but he also still had feelings for Tifa from his childhood. Also, Aeris was pretty much telling Cloud in the movie to move on already!!! Aeris didn't want Cloud to dwell on her anymore and it shows that in all of the memory-ish scenes in the movie. Also, Aeris goes with Zack in the end. (ZACK!) So that again shows that Cloud and Aeris are not supposed to be together.
And now, for my opinions drawn from what I've seen, I personally don't think Aeris really knew the real Cloud in the game. All she saw was the Zack-Cloud and so she never even really knew who Cloud was. Tifa, on the other hand, knew Cloud and knew all about him and also the fact that something was wrong with him so she stayed with him and watched over him because of her strong feelings for him. In the movie, Cloud also calls Aeris "Mother", so I think that maybe he actually deep down loved her as a mother-figure.

I say tifa because tifa has been clouds childhood friend(and perhaps sweetheart), and cloud still has feelings for tifa, and plus, aeris has zack and tifa has cloud, perfect matches

Cloud never really cared for Yuffie(at least in that way), but he did REALLY care for Tifa before Aeris. He cared a lot for Aeris, even when she had gone. But he still never lost his thing for Tifa.
While I'm a Cloud/Tifa fan, I think he may have had stronger feelings for Aeris in the present timeline of the game.
