hmm. I didn't like Eragon as a book. His writing really bugged me. However the movie wasn't too bad, kind of juvenile since it only made the plot seem even more linear than it was in the book.
And yes please go join the trivia event. Twould make my day. ^^

I didn't mind the writing so much, and I liked the plot and everything. Paolini seems a little fond of large words, though.

I actually liked the book Eragon. I haven't watched the movie yet, but the general opinion so far is that the movie isn't very good. In any case, I'm sure I want to watch it sometime. smile

I found too many things taken straight out of other fantasy works in Eragon to truely enjoy the plot. It's one thing to borrow a few elements from other stories and another to have almost nothing that is your own original thought. Paolini seemed to favor the latter. (*is trying hard not to get on one of her Eragon bashing rampages*)
