Sika nodded and followed them out towards Durem. She had a small skip to her step as she made her way to beside Merrick, slowing down her pace as she did. Elazu wiggled happily at the fact that they were on the move again. He struggled out of Sika's arms and jumped up onto her head, holding onto a few strans of hair.

"Well, I have Therin... and I can get us more mounts when we get to Durem. Let's go. You're comming with me!" Quinn grabbed Vashu's hand and dragged him down to where Therin waited.

Ourania half-laughed behind one hand before stepping carefully to the outside where she was certain Na'ir was waiting. The expression on the rainbow-haired Kederi's face spoke volumes of what he had witnessed and the summoner gave an apologetic smile. "We need to go to Durem. Are you well enough to fly Fiore, Basape and I there?"
Na'ir snapped out of the trance-like state, no longer staring at the shattered earth or the strange people pouring out of the Temple hall. "... Yes. But I should think you'll have a suitable explanation for everything that seems to have happpened..."
"I'll tell you on the way." Ourania replied evenly, letting Basape curl up in her hair and Fiore take a spot on her shoulder. "But, for now, just fly."

James frown, kicking awake the half ogre, and throwing his head over towards Quinn and Vashu, "Hurry up you sack of stupid and muscle, we could use your, sheer mass," he told the creature, seeing him groan, but nod as he awoke. That over, James followed after Quinn, and soon, the half ogre was jogging along after them, crashing through the forest.

Junkan had stumbled through the tick forest, using his momentum, and sheer bulk to drive through the thick undergrowth, knowing with any 'hunt' time was of the essence.
He stumbled up the steps, taking a short breather. He hadn't seen anyone else. Maybe he was the first one here?
Pushing the door open slowly, he peeked inside. Once the door was open, and he saw no mass of people there, waiting to kill him... well, then he got busy, scrambling around the temple, moving boxes, peeking around stairs, anything to go and find the 'broomstick' he was supposed to be hunting for. Only now did it occur for him to ask what a broomstick was.
Lilith explained, and he frowned, having hoped for some beast to have some fun with.
Still, he had a job, and scanned throug the temple top to bottom. Main hall, shop, balcony, everything he could get away with searching. Of course that left the cloister unchecked, as well as the crystal chamber.
He sighed, not seeing the broom. maybe the information was wrong? Maybe someone beat him. He heard of magic users that could instantly move across the world, after all...

Khel was spending the night back at the Temple; it was, afterall, her sanctuary, her oasis of peace in a world of chaos. The little girl ghost would have to take care of the Tavern herself, and, for that, khel was feeling a little guilty. She was taking a "vacation" on a busy day. Winter Festival, and all.
She hummed contentedly as she picked through her pockets, fingering the gift she'd prepared for the ogre-man....

(( Emerging after Summoning! ))
Zayn walked briskly from the Summoning Chamber, wanting to run but not willing to jostle his frail new companion. Reaching the main area - had it really been the eve of the ball the last time he'd been here? - he slowed to a halt. A regretful glance was directed back behind him. Would the Crystal Guardian really be okay?
Another soft growl from the being in his arms.
"I know, you're a tough beast," he said with a half-smile on his face. "I was warned. I'm sorry I couldn't summon you properly... You'll be back to your strong self in no time, I'm sure."
Mollified that he wasn't being thought of as weak, the demon settled down somewhat. Glowing eyes snapped open to stare at the flan hovering very close by. A baring of fangs was returned with an intimidating scowl from Albel, and a hopping that always preceeded a bodyslam from the flan. Strangely, this seemed to content both Elysian and familiar, and they calmed down instantly.
Slightly confused, Zayn tried to occupy his mind while waiting the the Guardian to reappear (or the Temple to explode, whichever came first). "I should probably name you," he mused. "I don't suppose you already have a name?"
The demon opened one eye to give him a baleful look.
Of course, the Ieldi realised, the Elysian was too tired to speak. And were names a solely human thing? Would Elysians even have them?
"It would have to be something intimidating," Zayn guessed. His mood rose when both the demon and Albel seemed to approve of this. "Something violent sounding..." More agreement. "Hmmm, how about Xanatos? With an 'x'?"
Albel bounced. Xanatos simply closed the eye he'd had open. Zayn guessed that meant approval, since he wasn't fighting it or growling...

The minutes drew passed as utter silence fell over the temple and then at last the familiar clank of chains could be heard, the weary wraith descending the stairwell with lamp and crystal in hand. The lamp continued to glow with what seemed to be renewed life while the crystal (although still glowing) seemed to have lost it's lustre and appeared to have turned a sickly black where the rupture had occured.
"The gate is closed." The guardian murmured in an exhausted voice, extending both lamp and crystal towards the Ieldi before her, "But the crystal, the gate, will not destroy itself completely." She took another ethereal breath and observed the Ieldi with an almost sympathetic eye, "It must be destroyed in a chamber that is its antagonist by nature...this temple is neutral." She shook her head from side to side and then leant forward a little more.
"The crystal will not spawn again but you must completely destroy the gate, lest it come into the hands of a foe - journey to a realm of 'holy' magic and destroy this crystal but I ask that you return the shards to this temple so that it may be properly laid to rest." She paused to allow this information to sink in before wrinkling her nose.
"Would you like me to return you to the tavern?"

"Holy magic?" Zayn repeated. "Where do I find such a place? I doubt a simple human church would suffice... I have felt little to no power in those during my travels..."
Placing the lamp and crystal back in his bag, he swallowed a lump in his throat. It appeared his quest to free the creature tied to the lamp was not over yet. Now he had to clean up after the mess he'd created.
"Holy," he murmured to himself. "Maybe I should ask the others... Odilen, with her tales and travels, or that bright Elysian bird, maybe he'd know about Elysians and places of holy magic..."
Pulling himself from his thoughts, Zayn realised that the Crystal Guardian was waiting on a response. "Oh, if you're not too tired," he gave a weak smile. "I wouldn't want to trouble you after all you've dealt with because of me."

"You will find what you seek in the most unusual of places, keep your eyes and ears open!" She whispered as she faded from view and the shadowy tendrils seeped upwards from the ground to embrace and pull the Ieldi and his innumerable companions through the shadows and back towards the Turtle's Paradise tavern where the guardian dearly hoped the appropriate entity was there to send the gentle Ieldi in the right direction...

..:The Fallen Fairy Speaks:.. [Entering from Outside the Temple] Slowly pushing against the heavy door, Myth despite his, fear of the Temple, it's eeriness and it's peculiar state was something he was extremely cautious of. Finally entering the Hall he looked around seeing Crystal Lamps, eluding a faint glow. The presence ever so strong in Myth overcame this fear and he willed with all his power to be united with it. He noticed no one at the temple and wondered whether he pursue a search around it as it did seem quite deserted. No one would spot him if he did... He neared towards the closest door looking around again to make certain no one was watching him...

Genesis blew into the main hall with quite a bit of fanfare, the wind rushing into the normally dormant temple and stirring up a few miniature leaf and dust tornados.
Immediately her crimson eyes fixed on the intruder, a man looking like he was sneaking about. What if he meant to harm the Crystal? "Who are you!?" she screamed, oblivious to Waltz's warning tones.
"Genesis, *huff* calm *puff* down!" The moogle was exhausted from trying to keep up with the elysian's rage-fueled flight.
"What are you doing here," the elysian asked in a slightly softer voice. There was still an unmistakable edge to it, though, and she was quite obviously glaring at the man with murder in her eyes.
Waltz wondered if this person would take her at face value. She was, after all, not even a foot tall. He huffed helplessly.

..:The Fallen Fairy Speaks:.. Myth, completely startled and frightened at the voice that shouted so firmly and airily at him jumped back into the door partially opening it emitting a small glow into the main hall. He stared at the familiar looking Elysian in pure terror... "I... I..." he stuttered and emitted a crackling wheeze of breath, completely horror-struck... "The Phoenix told me to... to go to Barton... and I followed... the calling..." Gazing into the deadly eyes and the curve of malice in the Elysian's lips... "I came here and... and I felt it... it's presence..." he exclaimed losing his voice again and uttering a small stutter.

His fear of her staggered the already emotionally unbalanced elysian. She floated back a few inches, looking somewhat confused at his reaction. The wind in the hall died to a whisper as Genesis lost the heated look and seemed to calm a small bit.
"The phoenix told you?" she echoed, a hateful sneer accompanying the statement. "What, are you here to make sure that no other elysians are summoned to disturb his solace?" she accused sarcastically.
With an exasperated sigh, Waltz huffed his way over to the man to size him up. "Heard the call, kupo?" The moogle looked skeptical. "What do do you know about it, eh?"

..:The Fallen Fairy Speaks:.. Myth just as surprised as he had been before as the Elysian hadn't pursued him further in a demanding way. After she exclaimed about Aversham he now realised that this was the reason Aversham had been so distraught previously when he asked him how to pursue his Winter Festival prize. "I wanted to come here because I wanted to learn more about where it is you come from, I've heard countless rumours and whispers about various things that I've never head before in my life, including Nexus, Prime Crystal... And after the Winter Festivities and final raffle, I won by default... I came here because I felt a calling from Barton Town," as he had answered the Elysians question he now answered the Moogles in turn, "I know nothing of 'The Call' all I know is that the moment I stepped into the Tavern on the small Island, and felt the companionship between Summoners and there Elysians, I felt like I wanted any sort of that... friendship that they have had, having had none as a child, growing up and fending for myself... As I said, I came to Barton Town and pursued the Call... my call..."
