Hello! I am Sorinchako. I am 16 years old, 17 in August!

I love to read just about anything I can get my hands on, though I can get picky with some genre's, though I like them all, especially horror. I read EVERYTHING, and I mean it!

My favorite singular book is Alice In Wonderland while my favorite series is a tie between Maximum Ride and Cirque du Freak. I also like comics, though the only series I can hold true to is Johnny The Homicidal Maniac. Manga are also a passion of mine. My favorites are Death Note, D. Gray-man, Read or Die, and Pet Shop Of Horrors.

I have many favorite authors, but I'll try to narrow the list. I like Stephen King, J. K. Rowling, Jhonen Vasques, Hideyuki Kikuchi, and Darren Shan.

As for my other likes, well, there's lots! I like roleplaying, anime, watching movies, video games, and I am actually an aspiring novelist. I hope this wasn't too long!

My name... is unimportant. My favourite writer, however, is. He is Terry Pratchett who writes satarical fantasy. My favourite book? Either Good Omens or Night Watch. How do the little angels rise up?

I love books; in fact I'm an aspiring Librarian. I do not have A favorite writer; there are just too many great ones. As far as contemporary writers go, however, Terry Pratchett is among my very favorites, especially the books with Sam Vimes in them. I also love several of Orson Scott Card's books, some of Anne McCaffery's, and gobs of other authors'.
There are so many classics that I love that I don't think I should list them here; it would also take forever to type them.

Hi....I'm Amanda. Let's see....I really can't pick a favorite book. The ones that I can't think of right now are Blood and Chocolate, Life of Pi, The Truth About Forever, and the Georgia Nickleson (sp?) books (ex. "Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontle Snogging"). I don't really have a favorite author, either. However, I do like how Steven King writes. Right now I'm reading "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordan" (one of his books) and I really really like it so far.

Hello, I'm either ChibiOtaku or JeffN, I'm 21 and attempting to become a librarian. So far, I haven't found a job, but hey, still looking.

Can't really say I have a favorite author, Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett are among my tops though. Also a big fan of David Weber.

As to favorite books, again, difficulty, the Lord of the Rings books are up there, as is American Gods. Right now I'm reading through The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Really enjoying those.

Hello. My name is Queen, at least in this part of the world. You can call me that or Al.

I've been a bookwyrm all my life. I feel nake without a book. In fact, at the moment I have one sitting right her next to me, the 5th book of Jordan's Wheel of Time series.

My favorite book of all time is Sunshine by Robin McKinley. Second is the New Symphony of Ages series by Elizabeth Haydon.

I also love anything by Tamora Pierce, Elizabeth Haydon, Brian Jacques, Diana Wayne Jones, Terry Pratchet, Terry Goodkind, Terry Brooks, D.L. Regelizio, and so many others. (I like some of James Paterson's, so he is not on this list.) Maybe another time I'll add other names as I remember them.

Because I read so much, I can not say I have a favorite author, although the names above are continually vying for the spot.

Hi, my name is greenrider_calidar, as you can clearly see. But, as I have changed my name once already from whiteraven93, you may call me calidar, cali, raven, greenrider, or white. Whatever, I don't really care.

I first started my career of reading (yes, it has become a career) when I was about to go into first grade (so I was almost-not-quite six at that time). I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to read that I got my mom to teach me. Then I found out no one in my grade could read at all (and sometimes still can't, even though we're about to go into high school). I felt odd, since I was the youngest girl, and the youngest boy was the only other smart person (still is, but he's a geek). After that, I read constantly. I even missed a spelling test because I was so engrossed in the book I was reading.

I think I will fit perfectly here (if nowhere else). I am the girl who will gladly choose to spend her days in the library no matter what. I love reading and writing, and I write fairly well, though I have yet to finish a book. As my reading preferences are constantly changing (much as the oceans of our Earth), I have no favorite book or author. I do tend to stay away from non-fiction, though I am trying to get myself to read it. I really want to read about several wars and the Holocaust. I've read the Diary of Anne Frank and that really got me going...sort of. Okay, so I had it for two months. Bite me. Anyways, I'm hoping to broaden my reading scope and find some great books here. 3nodding

Hi there, I'm Hallie, 17, Senior in high school.

I read a lot less in the Summer, but all I do during the year is read. My favorite series is Dragonlance. Although I could never pick a favorite book.

My boyfriend is at Basic Training right now, so the only thing I've been writing lately are letters to him. But I like to write original short stories. I can't promise that they are good, but I write them anyway.

I have a novel in the works upstairs, but none of it has come out on paper yet, I've just been too preoccupied lately.

Hey, I'm Hat-tori. I'm a ferocious reader. I'm so bad about it, I've had restrictions from checking books out from the library.
I read VERY fast. A normal-sized book of 100-200 pages will last about 6 hours. a manga will take half an hour.

I love fantasy and Science Fiction. I'm between books right now.

Hello, everyone!

I'm not too skilled with introductions, so here goes: My name's Magen, I'm 20 years old, I work in a book store in southern Texas... and my apartment is a library. o.o I'm a bibliophile, and have been since I first grasped the concept of the alphabet.

As for reading preferences, I enjoy non-fiction (histories, biographies, culture, religion, mytholgy), classic literature, science fiction, fantasy, poetry, mysteries (every once in a while), and even the occasional children's book. I'm not overly fond of romances, westerns, or anything too simplistic, repetitive, or poorly written (which isn't to say that all romances and westerns are those things, I just haven't found any that aren't yet), but I'll read just about anything if it comes highly recommended.

I think that about sums it up!

*Bows* Hi everyone! You can all call me Taiko, and I look forwords to reading some of your stories, poetry, and other works of literature! I also look forwards to writting some of my own, and posting it up. Hopefully it will be enjoyable, and hopefully it will make me a better writter.

I am a pretty cheerful person, and hardly ever get angry at anybody. I would love random private messages from anyone, as well as random comments on my profile. I would love to talk to anybody about a certain book through private message, as long as you don't spoil anything for me. I really hate spoilers, because it ruins the whole book. Other than that, feel free to talk about whatever you would like to.

I would have to say that a couple of my favorite authors are, Christopher Paolini (Eragon, Eldest, Third Book?), J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter series), Ursula Le Guin (Tales of the Earthsea), Diana Wynne Jones (Howl's Moving Castle), Lian Hearn (Tales of the Otori), Mark Twain (The Adventure of Tom Sawyer), Eoin Colfer (Artemis Fowl's series), and C.S. Lewis (Chronicles of Narnia).

I have enjoyed all of their books, and I look forwards to read the third edition to Christopher Paolini's Tales of Inheritance. I also look forwards to read more of Lian Hearn's works. I have yet to finish J.K. Rowling's last installment, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", although I am currently reading it, I would like to savor every moment of her last book. My only wish is that she writes more books.

As you can see I read mostly Fantasy novels. I also love to read fiction novels, as well as nonfiction novels. During my Junior year, I took a class with this english teacher who made us read a book a month, and we had to write our reactions to them. At first I didn't like it, but then it really opened me up to reading all sorts of books. She let us choose from her little "library" or she would let us bring in our own books, and it was part of our grade.

I choose books such as "The Adventure of Tom Sawyer" and I really loved it! So I decided to read "The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn" and I must admit I didn't like it as much as Tom Sawyer's but I still loved it (Although I never got to finish it). I also read stories about kids during WWII and in that class i've picked up books that i've probably would've never picked up if I wasn't in her class. She has opened me up to reading all sorts of books now. I've also started to read Dracula, but never got to finish it either.

I thank you guys who have read this whole post, and getting to know me better by doing so (I'm sorry it was so long...). I also read a whole lot of manga (comic books) but that is not for this guild, but I just wanted to mention it. I am so happy to be in this guild, and would love to explore it more. Thank you!
