Remus responded. "It is a difference in those beliefs that drive the lycans and vampires to such hatred."

"Yes. And so did every lycan and vampire ever created in the time of the Ten Legends. We were there loyal subjects and they were gods, each one owning a part of the land and there capital was here." she raised her hand to suggest this very place they lived in, "When they left, our belief in them was shaken, some totally destroyed, and others...twisted. A few like me stayed in the belief that they would come back and bring peace once again, even if it was at the ironic cost of war. Lycans and Vampires used to live together, but their beliefs splitting us apart, causing the already widening distance between us to become and uncrossable abyss." Lina then turned her head in Remus' direction, "Until now."

"The belief in how things should be. How life should be lived and died. That is something everyone wants. What everyone will die to have. Including yourself," Lina said, sighing slihgtly as she took to the rooftops as they neared the main street again, "You count because you have been noticed. I am sure more of the lycans have had thoughts just like you and will want the same thing, just like long ago."

" 'They' are the ten vampire leaders who used to rule this world comepletely. No one knows when the took control, or for how long, but they have always been there. The answer to your second question is yes and no. The problem was always there, except dormant. When they left, painic brought this dormant side out of everyone."

Obsidian sighed, this was making no sense. Then she snapped, "I have to go, I've got a history lesson to attend to. I'll find you later...maybe we could have dinner? You and Remus, that would be nice, wouldn't it?" She grinned down at Lina then she dipped down and placed a very quick kiss on Remus's cheek, "You're much too easy, Sir Remus. Toodles!" With a small flash and a fall of black glitter, Obsidian was gone.

She appeared back on her cloud and closed her eyes, Tome of the Past.... she opened her mouth and softly sang three notes. There was a stiff breeze that mused her hair and tugged at her clothes and then a huge volume appeared in front of her. It was obviously ancient but had no dust on it at all. It was glowing slightly and when she opened it, there was a soft, brief breeze, "Now then...ten vamps, ten vamps..." She muttered, flipping through the pages, "Oh blast, this'll take forever. Tome!" She commanded, "Find me the accoutn of the Ten Ruling Nosferatu." She declared. The volume flipped then stopped. She read the title "The Ten of Earth" She frowned but read. Turning the page there was a detailed drawing of each vampire with their names printed neatly underneath their designated drawing, "How interesting..."

Remus grimaced as Obsidian kissed his cheek. "Definitely not my type...," he muttered. He leaned a little more heavily on his cane, fatigue beginning to catch up with him. "Home sounds wonderful."

In response, he pulled a rope out of one of his pockets. Tieing his cane around his back, he shifted completely into a black wolf. No longer capable of speech, he nodded his head and bent, preparing to run.
