I would love to have 19 trumpets in my band. They would throw the balance WAY off though. We don't have the strongest trumpet section, it being mostly freshman. One of the guys in the section got his wisdom teeth pulled, so he can't play for another few days (it's been like two weeks), and he's the only senior. crying
When I got my silver Bach Strad, it gave me more motivation rather than better playing. However, my previous was a really bad cornet. Oh, it was terrible. After I got my Bach Strad, a few months later another person got a Bach Strad. It was kinda strange. xd

toboetsukasa There are 19 Trumpets in my HS band and its awesome.. We think were the best which we are lol.. I love my "tumpy" thats his name. Hes a little old and beaten up but i love him all the same.. Holy crap! We only have FOUR trumpets. And we're really weak compared to some of the other schools' sections in my area. Having 19 trumpets (that could play really well) would be kick-a** but, y'know, with a 40-something member band the balance might be a little bit off... Just a little. blaugh

We have six/seven trumpets this year. 1 Senior (yours truly) 1 Junior (Section leader) 2 Sophomores (one of whom didn't play last year) 2/3 Freshmen (one plays baritone during concert season) Yes, yes. And my trumpets. One is a craptastic, student-model Bach that I've had since 5th grade. Of course, I didn't have any clue how you were supposed to take care of an an instrument at the time... ninja The other one is an intermediate-level Yamaha that I bought right after Field Show season last year. It's my baby. Still looks brand-new, too, since to my friend Mr. Polishing Cloth.

Sounds like our section leader's trumpet. It WOULD be good, if he had actually taken care of it. As it is, though... FYI: Your sig makes no sense. wink

What's up trumpet section?! Been quite a while since i last stepped in here, looks like everything is the way it should be, trumpets leading the pack. Ah well, I'm back, so expect me more often round these parts.
Question of the moment, "Is a flugal horn considered a trumpet?"

But having a band of around 140 members, I guess that's about right... o.0

Mine was the best thing that ever happened to me. (My Holton has been relegated to my marching instrument... read as "crap horn.")
