music from the movie On the Waterfront.
..it's the third year we're doing music by leonard bernstein. our band director really needs to do cooler music..
we did phantom of the opera and the nightmare before christmas before but that was 10 years ago.

. . [Leonard Bernstein's cool. Dx How could you say that? We did stuff by Hindemith in our first production, and then Dave Glyde wrote the rest of our stuff. C:
Snakes, Lizards, and Dragons. x.x Could they have come up with a lamer name? But the show itself is exciting.
Too bad marching season's done for us. Our show was the last show of the season for everyone at WBA. C: s n o w

Well we did The Scorpions the german rock band. The pieces were

Winds of Change
Deadly Sting Suite
It was pretty cool

Our show this year was "Motown" with "Ain't no mountain high enough", "Love Child", "My Girl", "Get Ready", and "Never can say goodbye". Last years was "Oliver!". Oliver! was so LONG! Motown was a little shorter.

Well, this is it now, everybody get downEarth, Wind, and Fire.
I'm talking 70's music. Not the elements.
We could've had Rent, apparently, but the music was 'too easy' by our director's standards. This is all I can take, this is how a heart breaks.

nerarchni Lets see. For the '05-'06 school year we did "Rock Through the Ages" with "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, "Touch Me" by the doors, and "Bring Me to Life" by Evenecince. All I know about next year ('06-'07) is we are going to have a Ray Charles theme... o____o Where are you from?
I heard a band did those songs at one of the competitions I was at recently. O: This is all I can take, this is how a heart breaks.

We finally got the music for it today and listened to the show.
It's awesome.
I've never played 'funk' music with the band before.
It should be very interesting. 3nodding OMG that is what I'm doin this year also We are playing in this order Getaway/September, After the love is gone, and In the Stone. Our Marching band is used to playing funk and rock so this year the music is SO easy. Last year we had this weird Latin American Themed show that was harder than this. Ours was reverse that order. XD
Everyone hated After The Love Has Gone. Including Guard. >_> This is all I can take, this is how a heart breaks.

C: s n o w he IS cool but for the freshman that can't play... we didn't even make an attempt to water down the parts. They're crazy hard, and marching the whole show at 160+ bpm for over ten minutes *kind of* hurts
