Character: Amarith RP Response: Amarith was still plenty angry, but having it pointed out that others could be hurt because of her words was keeping her from further expressing it...at least for the most part.
"Just let us go home." She said tiredly. "We found who we came to find, so just let us leave so we can get proper medical care and we'll tell the worlds to stay away from your woods so only idiots will come and try to engage with you. We didn't know you were here, and I sure don't want to ever come back." She turned her head to look at Aritao. "Of course, since a lot of people know that we're here, if you don't let us go, then people will know we got into trouble and even more people, probably armed this time, will come to avenge us." She hoped.

Character name: Jin Response: "We.. we don't have hunting games," Jin said softly, considering, still upset but starting to quiet. "The closest I can think is tag but it is simpler." He played with the helm of his cuffs, picking at the loose thread. "I'm Jin. I'm Kumiho and Baphomet... do you know either of those races?" "Could you give me something from my messenger bag? It is dark leather with a copper clasp in the shape of a leaf. I have rolls of bandages in it, white cloth, rolled tight. Squares of cloth, that are crinkle on one side...it to help it from sticking to the wound. Squares of foil, it has wet cloth inside, to help clean the wound. Just those... so Devon can wrap her leg up."

Character: EirResponse: Eir looked at Jin and Saiph. "What?" Was wanting to spar really so surprising? Her eye returned to the centaur. "While I don't think you could beat me, if you did, you could teach me." But as another centaur approached and mentioned they were having an issue, she did her best not to smirk. Clever girl. She thought, wondering if it was Tabi and the others making a mess. As the other left, Eir addressed the leader again. "Greater leaders then you? How do you know they were greater? Did you meet them?" Chances were that the centaurs passed down stories orally, and stories were then... prone to change. "Hm. You say your the only known intelligent creatures. Does that mean the kirin were not intelligent? Did they not speak and converse?" she leaned against the bars. "Would you rather live in ignorance, or would you like to expand your horizons and learn about the others races? There's a lot of us." She gestured to herself. "I'm a Grimm, and so is bluebell over there." She gestured to Sierra. "Wounded feathers is a Fallen, our doctors here, Devon, is a Litch, and Jin is the product of a Baphomet and a Kumiho." She was counting them off on her fingers. "Of course then there's the Kirin, as you know, my kind lived with the Nixies for as long as I can remember. Of course there's also the Cherub, Sluagh, Baneko, Naga, Geist, Demons, Dryads, Elves, Fey..." She was just counting the races off, hoping to spark... something in the centaur. Curiosity? Fear? Something that would break through to the leader.

Character: Latros Response: Latros couldn't help but roll their eyes again, but could only be bothered to do about half of them. Obviously this was an isolated, primitive race, kinda like the Naga! But maybe less wise or something, who knew. Naga were cooler than these guys, had a more acceptable number of legs and all.
"Y'know, I'm part Kumiho, and not too long ago they were just like you guys. A little more tactful, but still isolated, and threatening to kill the group that found them." They wiggled their three tails, as if the centaurs would understand what that meant. Letting their legs slip out of the bars, they not-so-gracefully dropped to the ground and looked around a bit. "They don't look as cool as me though!"
Walking over to the injured Fallen, a fallen Fallen if you will, they knelt and looked them over. "Y'know, I could try cleaning that up for you" They wiggled their hands, as if to somehow explain how this would work in some manner. "It'll probably work, but it'll definitely hurt. Should keep you from dying of infection though, if you don't rub dirt into it, y'know?"
They weren't sure if magic would even work up here. Did the Nine get reception in this wilderness? Maybe they should have upgraded their prayer package to include roaming before they left on this trip...
Ebonrune Amarith can decline if she wants, Latros won't be offended

Character: Lycos Response:
Almost the entire time, Lycos had been doing nothing but near-mimicking their twin. The hanging, the gestures, the mouth movements. But nothing beyond incredibly precise mimicry. Those who would have been able to watch may have found themselves befuddled or at the very least amused. And with their mind fogged over as it was, that was a good thing for Lycos.
Unfortunately what goes up must also come down, and Lycos was coming down pretty hard. As the mind fog dispersed, the words coming from the four-legged being started to make sense as actual words, and not just garbled nonsense that may or may not have turned into some sort of song not too long ago. there was talk about animals, being eaten, something about banishment?
"Why not talk to...yanno...the otherssss...Cuz, uh..We have some really cool things too...Like..." Was all Lycos could get out before the mind fog rolled right back in for a bit. It wasn't cleared yet, and they found themselves, somehow, on the other side of the cage from their twin. That was odd.
"Okay, but...Those leaders...are they still around? Yanno, to tell you what to do? Um, no offense."
They were...out of it still.

Character: Amarith RP Response: Amarith was seriously getting annoyed in general and fear was turning into frustration. Normally she was actually pretty patient, but normally her life wasn't on the line. So maybe there was still some fear. Still, she tried to ruminate over what she wanted to say next. She listened to what another centaur said before Aritao sent them away again and didn't bother to resist smiling. There were still people out there giving their captors some hell.
She looked to Latros. "I mean, it's worth a try." She said. "It would be better if we had our stuff, but the savage leader would rather kill us all than admit they're wrong." She looked over at Aritao, raising her voice slightly. "She's too much of a coward to admit she's wrong and do the right thing." She was still tired, the flames of her fury flickering dim, but she wasn't just going to sit back and take it either. All she had was her words to fight with, so that's what she would use as she could.

Character: Saiph RP Response: Saiph was right there with Jin trying to keep Eir from fighting Strongback one on one. Although they had faith in their Grimm friend, the four-legged race's leader was an unknown fighter. Saiph didn't want a friend possibly getting gravely injured in a situation they didn't have the upper hand in.
Once again the hanging Hallow's words made Saiph want to groan. There was a good chance Saiph was going to throttle them.
Hearing Strongback laugh brought Saiph's eyes back to the being outside the cage. She turned down Eir's offer to spar and Saiph sighed in relief. At least they wouldn't have to worry about a battle breaking out.
Strongback seemed to be losing her confidence of where she stood. Then she hardened at the Hallow's words. Saiph shook with frustration this time. Even the Fallen was not helping as she practically threatened a return attack. Saiph groaned loudly.
Jin attempted to be allowed to help the Fallen who seemed to be hurt which was kind of him. Saiph was disappointed to hear that Strongback was not okay with that. She was still insisting that these prisoners were not going to be allowed home. Saiph made note that Strongback mentioned they were centaurs, that she seemed to be converting to the thought that the prisoners were intelligent and that the idea of the Kirin, the two-legged race, was banished by an old leader.
Then new of stuff going on inside the centaur's camp perked Saiph's ears. So the rest of the search team was hanging around and trying to to do something. Hopefully what they were doing would not cause an issue with them getting free.
Saiph was happy to hear Eir speak a little more sensible. They had had their time to gain back perspective and knew they couldn't sit by anymore. Saiph took one more moment to figure out the words that would be best.
"Those 'great leaders' made a decision a long time ago and I'm sure they had their reasons. But this is now." Saiph smiled at Strongback. "The world has changed. There is so much out there for you and yours to meet and see." The hybrid looked around them. "Things can't stay the same forever. You wouldn't be spitting on the past, but adapting and creating a new path for your people."

Character: DevonRP Response: Devon frowned as the woman insulted and quickly dismissed them. "It's a familial name, not a descriptor. And while I do not know your cultural norms, I cannot imagine insulting people in response to a greeting is a standard response." They sighed and shook their head, taking a seat down on the ground. Their words weren't seeming to help with anything and now... And now. Many of their other fellows spoke up. Some spoke with more tact than others- Devon nodded towards Jin in thanks for the attempt to petition for medical supplies. This was, of course, shot down. What was to be expected. They shook their head in defeat. The listened for a while, sure that the groups arguments were going nowhere. That the other who had escaped were causing trouble was good news, everything else not much. The winced at the fallens words- insults weren't helping the situation. They shot a pointed look in her direction. She probably wouldn't take the hint but... Well, it help them feel better about it. They shook their head again before addressing the centaur. "Ma'am, I am not a historian and I do not know your histories or your culture. You say that great leaders banished the Kirin... How long ago was that? It is possible that your race is older, I really could not say. But time... Changes things. There is a very large world outside of this forest. One that I would like to get back to. There has to be a way- a compromise. Something that does not jeopardize your standing or wellbeing, and one that will let us go?" They pushed themself up to their feet, exhausting starting to hit like a ton of bricks. "You know we are people now. Surely that changes things? You said there are other herds? Is there a council or something you could call? Is there anything that could help this not end in loss of life? I am asking you for compassion. You're the only one with the power to change things here."

Character: oíche Character response: “I think we’re getting all off on the wrong foot here. My companions are angry and pissed off. We don’t like getting hurt, drugged and hunted. It doesn’t make us the friendliest of people. Of course we invaded your lands as well and in your place if we were invaded then we would lash out as well. I understand like some of my colleagues that for your culture and tradition is important. It keeps you guys being you. However tradition isn’t everything, in fact if you don’t allow yourself to adapt and grow then tradition can be harmful.” Oíche spoke up again seeing as the original centaur she had asked had gone silent. “Your culture grew and evolved right? So then why can’t primitive cultures grow and evolve as well. All our species came from different places but we all found the means to survive and grow and come together as well. Maybe the question I should ask is: Was there ever a time where your people’s traditions needed to adapt and change? Is there any way for us to find common ground at all?” Oíche added. It was kind of what the doctor had said but hopefully one of their questions would help. She took a deep breath and reminded herself she had a plan if she died here. It was enough for her to take away the fear and the anger. Well mostly. She was still miffed at the treatment but yelling wasn’t getting them anywhere it was just jacking both sides even more upset.

Character: Latros Response: Latros looked over at their sibling for a moment, hopping up to help them down from the top of the cage and leading them back to where the fallen Fallen was. "C'mon, sit over here with me Lycos..." They made sure Lycos was settled in before turning back to Amarith.
"Alright, uh...let's see, ish before ka...and then...omj..." They sort of faded off, humming softly as they tried to focus on what they were asking of the Nine, ears tilting this way and that as they tried to get better reception. Frowning a bit, they adjusted their ears a bit more to try and filter out the chatter going on about them. Their hands glowed slightly, and they held them over the Fallen, purging any infection they might have had.

Character: Amarith RP Response: Amarith grit her teeth against the pain when Latros started cleaning her injury and ended up biting her own hand to keep from making a sound. No way was she giving these savages the satisfaction of hearing her in pain! She almost wondered if this was doing any good at all as the pain seemed to worm deeper and wrap around her very bones, but she did her best to endure it even if she shook from the pain.

Character: oíche Character response: “Well it’s definitely a way of thinking. I wont say whether it’s the right way of thinking or not but I can understand it’s yours. My grandmother kind of thought the same way. She didn’t want my father to pollute his bloodline with anything other than another chimera. She was rigid and as you said forced the world to change for her. However in the end her way of thinking was too rigid and she lost my father. He left and now she has nothing. Sometimes the enviroment won’t adapt for you. You have to be the ones to adapt. It’s a scary notion, but isnt it the more brave thing to do to be the first one to change out there into the unknown?” If it doesn’t work out then you’ve tried. Your people where faced with a choice way back then and so they tried to protect their own. It’s what any of us here would do really. However you force a tree to adapt to you too much and the tree is going to fail” Oíche replied. She knew it took a lot of strength sometimes to admit you where wrong. Maybe... maybe something could be worked out. Well provided some of her still angry companions didn’t irritate their captors.... more. “Thank you for admitting that finally.” Manners where important when talking to people right?
