Dawson nodded as if he had expected this to happen and was starting to ask who she wanted to date first when he realized America had led him into the tent of a shirtless man. Oh boy."No sense," he grunted in agreement as he ducked into the makeshift fort. Just as there was no sense in attempting to stop America, much as he wanted to ease her away from the display. This "Clyde" seemed okay, but Dawson wasn't about to put bullshit past anyone anymore. He had dealt with too much of the fallout. Robert did not exactly expect the floor to fall out underneath them, so when it did, he screamed all the way down. And a few seconds after they'd landed, too. Then the heat got to him, quieting his screams into a cough that ended in a whine. "Just once." He grumbled, pushing himself up and reaching for Mimsy - who'd already gotten to her feet - "JUST ONCE. JUST ******** ONCE. I WOULD REALLY LOVE IF A MEETING WAS JUST A NORMAL NO BIG DEAL MEET- oooh. Juice box!" He took it happily, popping the straw in and sucking it up. "Thanks, baby!" It remained a defensive action in this capacity; they were not endangered without endangering her, which was fair. "Our family is safe..." With the exception of the very real possibility that Lucky could be attacked in retaliation for inadvertently delivering them to the Sahara. She nudged his arm and directed his attention to two younger girls, who were reacting with an excitement to the sight of monstrous centipedes, their complete lack of displeasure obvious even at their current distance. With a smile on her face, Nellie had waved to Henry and Stormy in greeting when both hunters noticed her presence in the group. The orientation session seemed to be targeted at the many new trainees who recently joined them so she was trying her best to be as unobtrusive as she could be.
Helping herself to a candy bar from the bag that Stormy had left on the desk, Nellie had been about to add that to the gift bag when the room and its floor suddenly disappeared, leaving her flailing and falling until she eventually found herself in the middle of a desert and surrounded by five centipedes.
Oh no.
Frowning at the situation that she had suddenly found herself thrown into, Nellie quickly picked herself up, the gift bag and the candy bag forgotten for now as she summoned Niffy for the fight at hand.

A kiss on the cheek was all he needed to feel blessed. He wiggled with delight, even as he stabbed a centipede right in the face and cringed at the mess it exploded all over him. Mimsy was calling his attention to the new hunters, and Robert turned to look just as he smushed down another centipede. His head turned all the way to the left as he stared, a little too openly, at the girl she was calling 'Alice.' He wasn't sure what to think about it. Mimsy wasn't suggesting this was their Alice, was she? He let out a thoughtful hum, and dissected another centipede without looking at it. He was too busy trying to decipher whether the new girl was a human, or an AI in disguise. HP: 45 Damage: 15 Centipedes left: 5

This was now, what the third time he was finding himself in the Sahara? The first time was there somewhere, vaguely able to remember it while the second time was at least memorable. Not the best kind of memorable but still, it came to recollection.
Of course Koume wanted to reminisce about it. < It wasn't one of your best times with your little ghoulfriend, though it does stand better than the time you almost attacked her. >
At least this was something a little more familiar, meetings going array in a way. It probably being some sort of test that was going to explode into yet another test of survival - maybe that's why they were given goodie bags? Though, how was soap going to help? Whatever the case, it was a nice form of distraction from mentally berating himself over his lack of socializing. Got to kick some a** a little. Maybe, hopefully.
Milo summoned his polearm with a grin as a couple of centipede mobs made their way to him.

It didn't take too many over exaggerate moves to bring down the rest of the mob - apparently he had destroyed a larger portion than he had originally thought. As the last one fell at his feet, Milo did a small turn. In his head the thing exploded in colorful smoke. (It had been a long time since he had been in a fight. Even if this was just a little one, he was going to have some sort of fantastical conclusion to it).
But now there was not much else to do as others rounded up their own mobs. Milo rested the butt of his naginata in the sand and gave the surface a slight tap. Just checking mostly, making sure there was nothing else. For now at least.

What remained a generally passive 'assault' on the centipedes shifted course as one lunged directly at Robert, who was hers. She intercepted it with one swift stab, holding it at a distance from him until it stopped moving all together. That felt better. The sand seemed to have stopped its stirring around them, and the path to Alice and her sister seemed relatively stable. Though she was certain that she had supplied herself with the very same set of supplies that she did every day, she reached inside her bag to confirm that she had, in fact, remembered a FEAR specimen jar. When her hand emerged from the bag, however, it was not holding a jar. Instead, there was a single yellow Starburst candy - a treat - extended towards Robert. "Would you like to come too?" Her eyes were on Alice. It was clear where she intended to go. "I can join you elsewhere in a moment, if you would rather not." HP: 20 DMG: 26 Centipedes HP: 0

That punch seemed to work pretty well since it took out the centipede in an instant with a high-pitched screech. What Nellie hadn't been prepared for, unfortunately, was the injury associated with the ensuing explosion as a result of the creature's death.

Nellie observed when another centipede exploded upon impact with her fists. It wasn't the warg's fault or hers either really. They weren't trained to take out foes from a distance so the next thing they could do was to minimise the amount of collateral damage to themselves each time they took out one of these darn things.

It wasn't in their favour to drag the fight out here under the harsh environmental conditions of the desert. Niffy knew that so he urged Nellie to use the charges that were accumulated as soon as possible.
Nodding in agreement with her partner's advice, Nellie activated the charges then leapt into the fray to slash at the centipedes with the razor sharp claws that had manifested.
HP: 20/40

Bradley smiled down at her, rubbing his neck in slight embarassement. He shook her hand, doing his best to ignore the snickering of his weapon in his head. Which was hard, because Yza did it with a sort of rolling growl sound. He opened his mouth to reply and then someone came into the room and--
"YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME." Bradley practically howled in frustration against the sand, grunting as someone fell ontop of him and he sort of just resigned himself to being in the sand for a moment. They were in the Sahara. Again.
With the damn bugs.
[[ At least we did not end up in that... creature's stomach again, Mine. ]] Bradley pushed himself up as the girl ( the very tiny girl as it were ) got off of him and Abbi let out a scream of frustation.
"Welcome to the Sahara. Again. I can't believe this is how they're doing your ********' orientation." Bradley watched as Abbi quite expertly took care of her centipedes and gave a nod to her as she scrambled for the tends.

Bradley held out his hand to the side as his giant scythe materialized in his grip. The blade dripped blood onto the sand and he spun it to get a feel for it again.
"Sure thing Abbi! Meet ya there in a sec!" He turned to the short galaxy dress wearing trainee who'd fallen on him. "Welcome to Deus, and I'd summon your weapon if I were you. These things are nasty."
As if to prove his point, five of the nasty beasts rose out of the sand in front of him, snapping mouths at him.
