The werewolf put a clawed hand on Zac's shoulder. "We'll get there," he murmured softly, sensing the other's wish to help the others. It was the same wish Lucas had, but he knew the benefits of being thorough.

Chel decided to sit down for a moment to catch her breath while the others messed with the elevator.
A lot had happened. She needed a second.

Once the elevator was called, Shun took a few steps back and readied himself. He took a quick glance behind, then watched for those doors to open.

Rosie balked when she heard the sounds, "W-wha? Are we just going to ignore someone sobbing?" She didn't want to split from the group. Being powerless made for a no-go on soloing. So, like the others she was by the elevators. Shibrogane hey i screwed up and double rolled. Can I use the first # and do you want me to reroll? c:

There was no follow up question this time. Jack was too stunned to find one. Woke up one day. That was it. Just out of the blue ******** ding dong part animal. Maybe Lucas was omitting something; it just couldn't be so random...
"Not ignore," he said to Rosie. "Just prioritizing." It was a good idea to know there was a fast route to bring injured people down to the first floor to be looked after. No more splitting up business.
As the others approached the elevator, Jack stayed back with Chel, clutching his arm with grit teeth. For once they were staying in one area that wasn't completely full of high tension, and the adrenaline rush from earlier was waning, leaving the graduate student with pangs of pain to deal with.
It was a stupid question, but he asked, "How're you doing?"

"Priori... Ah." Right, having the elevators working was a good idea. She just... Hoped that whoever was currently sobbing would stay well until they got to them. She closed her eyes and tried to think of positive, happy things. However, Jack's question surprised Rosie. "H-huh? Oh.... Ah... Well..." She laughed hoarsely and offered him a weak smile, "As best as I can be, chico. This has been a... sucker punch? Sucker punch to reality. How are you?" medigel double post cause idk how well editing in a quote would ping or not w/ guilds XD

Chel watched Jack with a weary eye, keen to how he was clutching his arm. He was more hurt than he let on.
He struck up a conversation with the lady from earlier and Chel was surprisingly quiet for the moment. She only pulled on his jeans and gestured him to lower himself.

"I'm..."
He felt a tug at his jeans and glanced at Chel. Hesitated. And then finally let himself slump to the floor, face wrinkling with some pain.
"Fine," he continued. "Better than those other guys." The ones whose belongings were currently blooding his clothes more than he was, in fact. The dried blood feeling made him feel gross to say the least.
The phone in his back pocket began vibrating. More than likely a text or a call from his parents. He let it go.
"In ye olded times, they'd let you off with a lighter sentence if the crime was committed on a full moon. If you claimed lunacy."

"Why're you so weird," she murmured, taking the time to push herself up and attempt to release his grip on his arm. She was going to look over his wound and see if there wasn't something she could do about it, even if it meant running downstairs to get more bandages.
"You need anything?" And she asked him this earnestly, because he needed to take the question seriously. She looked up to the other lady and said, "Or you? Where we at?"

Rosie squinted at the question, mostly in confusion... D-did Chel not know where they were? Or was this some sort of colloquialism she was unfamiliar with? "A-ah well... We're on the third floor, surrounded by weres and wargs and blood and death?" Rosie smiled sheepishly, forcing herself to chuckle hollowly, "But I don't think that's what you meant... I'm fine. If you have some bandage tape I could use it." The gash on her arm had stopped bleeding, mostly, but wearing the crusty bandanna was starting to gross her out. Majorly. They had time so she sat too, a sigh of relief rushing from her lungs. "If we make it out of this, you're all welcome to some free snacks at my bakery. Hell, I'll feed you all a cake each if you wanted." It was said in halfheartedness, but she did really mean it. After all, if they made it out alive it would be thanks to the ones in the group with powers. Rosie, at the moment, was more dead weight than anything. Er, minus the dead, she hoped.

Lost in her own thoughts, it took Autumn some time to reply. She wasn't sure how to sort out her feelings, or really what to say. Lucas was still disillusioned by Other Ashdown... and honestly, she was starting to feel the same. Looking at all the people waiting by the elevator, Autumn started.
"It's another world. Like ours, but like Lucas said, it's always raining. There's things there that shouldn't exist. Not monsters, but Otherbeings. And magic is real there, too."
Autumn folded her arms, and leaned against Lucas for comfort.
"We're... not sure if it's good or not. I thought it was, at first. But I can't say after all this s**t. The good news is, if a were turns there, he's not dangerous. Bad news is... not all of 'em made it."
She kept her eyes on the elevator, waiting.

After a slightly ridiculous period of waiting, the elevator light dings. The doors begin to open and stop, jammed. There is silence from inside the elevator, and then-- Clawed hands slash out. They catch on the inner workings of the elevator and shove them open, utilizing their superhuman strength. The doors shove aside--once. Twice. Two weres shove out just as Autumn spots one of them stumbling gracelessly towards the edge of the upper level. C-C-C-COMBAT THE NUMBERS ARE 16, 6, 4 THE TIME IS 1900 YOU ARE SURROUNDED BY ROGUES INCLUDING THE ALPHA ROGUE YOU ARE SO INCREDIBLY ******** HAVE THREE TARGETS: ALPHA WEREWOLVERINE ROLLS 2d10 AND HAS 120 HEALTH ELEVATOR WEREWOLVERINE ROLLS 1d10 AND HAS 60 HEALTH STACKS WEREWOLVERINE ROLLS 1d10 AND HAS 55/60 HEALTH

Rules Amendment As there are ranged weapons present in the game, rules have been created to account for them. As all guns in the game are property of the police department, firing them comes with a consequence of having to explain in a later thread why you fired to your boss. You cannot be damaged by the were, but the gun is a risky proposition.
To fire, please roll a 1d10. The damage scale looks like this: 1-4: You fire your gun into the chaos and do a flat 5dmg to your peer with the lowest health, including you. 5-7: You fire your gun into the chaos and do a flat 5dmg to the were. 8-10: You fire your gun into the chaos and kill the were. You now have to explain why you wasted all of your deescalation training and killed somebody who was not in their right mind.
