Biroki post 1The first round over, Biroki decided to stroll around the stalls and see what he could find among them. It had been a long time since the last tournament, and now he was truly a force to be reckoned with - a long, far cry from the stammering wimp of old. It was nice. It was also far preferable to face Obans in a tournament as opposed to the battlefield. There was less madness and death, and more chance to show skill and finnesse. Yes. Far preferable. He caught sight of his apprentice and approached. "Aylin!" he called, smiling, "H-how did your fight go? Did you win?" He hoped she had, though at the same time, if she lost, she would no longer be in danger of harm... it was complicated.

Dyakida post 4"Zuri? The name is vaguely familiar..." said Dyakida thoughtfully. An Earthling of her aquaintence, perhaps? She touched Ilyra's hand. "I know you will." said Dyakida. It was hard not to be proud of Ilyra... or Briella... or anyone of her aquaintence. She was full of pride of her sisters and tribe, despite all that had happened. And she was proud of herself. That counted for a lot. Dyakida did not, of course, notice the earthling that watched them, but her sprite did - Peyla, a winter sprite - chimed in the air above him before proceeding to play with his hair with her little tiny hands...

Nuawahn post 4 Oh, that made sense! He had been young and sick. Even with his medicine, his memory was foggy on those points, and that was fine. But there was one memory that hadn't faded, and it made him very sad. Takoda had reminded him of it. "Amma." he said, remembering the capramel who had loved him and cared for him and been as much his mother as any earthling ever could be. "La'amu. The Capramel..." he hesitated for a moment, a little overwhelmed by the memory of her - her smell, her fur, the sounds that she made when she was annoyed with him... "She's gone now." he explained. "What was your name, mister?" he asked, trying to shake free of the sad memories.

Volkarosh post 4"All right then." said Volkarosh, reaching down for her wallet to attempt to buy and barter for the stone. "It depends on what you mean by bandits." she added conversationally. Considering that her father had killed lots of bandits in his time in Zena, and that both her Mother and her Uncle Lashy killed bandits even as they acted like bandits, the idea of banditry was a complicated and nuanced one for Volkarosh. "... but I'll buy it for you, and you can pay me back later in some way." she hovered a moment, waiting to see the girl's response, "Does that work for you?"Quote: Do either of you mind if I add some adversity and have someone steal her wallet? Taking any PC thieves, but will use an NPC if I can!

Aqio Post 7 Aqio rolled his eyes. "There are times when I think you couldn't become a touch more high and mighty." he stood brushing off his skirts. "Then you surprise me." he smiled good naturedly. "I'm only teasing you, firefly. Lets go see about that food. I won't cause any trouble." He meant that. The water male wasn't up for getting into any sort of trouble today. He didn't know where his Caretaker was as the elder was watching their Mentor fight in the male's own rounds of fights. Aqio looked at the other male. "What were you in the mood for?"

Shesha Post 8 Giving a little smirk Shesha said, "I'm gonna take that as a compliment, little fish." He said, giving a flip of his brightly colored red hair. He didn't mind being called 'high and mighty' because he that was exactly what he striving to be. No reason to be upset over words that actually made him puff up and grin like a delighted feline. Just to add to his already inflated ego Aqio referred to him as 'firefly' again, something he quite liked. Reaching a hand up he gave him a pat on the head he said, "Yes, you won't be causing any trouble, because I won't allow it." As if he actually had a choice in the matter if Aqio wanted to get in over his head. "What am I in the mood for? Anything spicy is would be nice." He said, moving forward, pausing for a moment to give the ongoing fights a lot glance before moving forward again. Might as well enjoy everything that the tournament had to offer, not just the battling aspect of it. There was shopping to be had, something that he enjoyed greatly, so he supposed he could leave behind the battles for a while if it meant getting to do a bit of shopping. He didn't have as much in the way of spending money since leaving Lady Alhana behind but at least his teacher gave him a bit of pocket money to use while at the tournament.

Damissan Post: 4“I’m sure I’ve mentioned this,” Damis said, “but you know I had no way of knowing anyone would be accompanying me. My parents did not inform me they’d hired a guard and you were a complete surprise. I don’t see why I would wait at my home for someone who I did not know was arriving. But…yes,” he conceded. “I suppose that was ‘off the street’ in that sense.”
He eyed the flick and roll of the man’s fingers over his dreads, and raised his eyebrows when the man came to Gadot’s ‘defense’ — not that it was a surprise, but more that Xilarn seemed to habitually walk a line there, so far as Damis had seen. Assuring him of the beast’s gentle temperament while still managing to look genuinely (if subtly) concerned about what might happen were the mutt let loose to be ‘excited’ among the crowd. Perhaps, though, he could concede that one-on-one interactions between himself and the mutt were likely to go over differently than what might happen if the animal were startled and affronted by a crowd of unruly people, strangers, including small and improperly supervised children.
In any case, Damis let that topic sit where it lay.
Charming, adorable, weird, and delusional, in any case, was a far more immediately engaging topic, and Damis found himself blinking in open startlement, and then shooting the man a look torn between amused and quizzical. “Most of those?” he repeated. “So at the very least, two of the three—you find me charming? That isn’t to say that I don’t think I am, I am, but for you of all people to notice…” He touched a hand to his chest, over his heart, or more or less so. “I’m touched.”
The corner of his mouth twitched up. “And yes, I suppose I could certainly at least do a great lot more with a week or so of everyone’s time…but I recognize that, sadly, that’s an unlikely opportunity that I am more than likely not going to be afforded with anyone other than you. You, though, will be repeatedly blessed with multiple weeks of my company. I can practice my longer-term strategies of indoctrination with you…”
He trailed off, frowning at the last of Xilarn’s commentary.
“Nonsense. First…” He shook his head, “…you won’t be injured. But even if you were, we could postpone travel a number of days for you to recover. You’ve made it this far…it’s hard to imagine being deprived of your company for the entirety of the trip now. And I couldn’t imagine being so cruel as to cut such an adventure from your life experience on account of an unfortunate injury. You’re quite stuck with me.”

JHANA (post 5)
Jhana's antennae deflated just a little bit when both of her siblings chose the sweets over the meatballs. But... they looked so good. She gave them one more quick glance before letting her two siblings lead her to the sweets stalls. "Yeah... we can totally eat the sweets first," she said with a slightly bitter smile. She would do what they wanted, and sweets weren't a bad thing, so it wasn't really a lose for her either, just... man that glaze.
The stall Jerami picked had all sorts of dainty cakes and little hard candies. Jhana felt her eyes lock onto a thick looking cake with some sort of pretty flower shaped frosting on top. "Oooooohhh... So... I think this one I want to try first." She pointed to the cake.

Elyessi Really sorry for the delay. u.u Nadiya 4 "Oooh." Nadiya's gaze brightened as he described the Red Amaryllis to her, "That sounds amazing! I mean I'll gladly look for your wife, but it might benefit me as well." The girl smiled warmly, "I've been meaning to look for a place full of musicians and dancers. It would be a great help to my own learning." And perhaps pay...
Her excitement could only grow. An Oban with a Sauti woman?! "Sounds like you two have a wonderful love story." Nadiya commented quietly. Perhaps she could wiggle that story from them one day. It seemed that finding this Aseara would truly be worth the effort indeed. At Nuri's dismissal of the search, Nadiya pouted. "But shouldn't you get a good luck kiss from your wife?" The Matori placed a hand on her hip and stared up at the Oban, "I'll dart in and out and look for your love. It would be a shame to let you fight without seeing her first."
That stated she began to look around through the crowd. Perhaps she could dart through that group and begin looking over there...

Kieran 3
Kieran wasj trying to be patient with the alkidike but as more of the crowd passed around him the male found himself unusually antsy. He had spotted that other Yaeli and his curiosity was burning brightly inside of him. Could he reach her from here? Bump! As a shifter roughly brushed past the male grabbed his cloak and pulled his hood back as quickly as it slipped. Even those watching could have only seen a sheen of purple hair before the male had fixed his hood.
A few steps forward and he began looking again. Was it to the left or the right that he had spotted the Yaeli?

Jerami Post 5 Jerami looked back and forth between his siblings, looking a bit surprised. So they were going to have dessert before they had a proper meal? It seemed wrong somehow and yet... exciting. Something else that they shouldn't be doing but were going to do anyway and it had his antennae bouncing like crazy as they approached one of the booths, "Alright, these first, then the meatballs." He murmured as he inspected all of the various treats that were laid out, for a moment feeling as though he were faced with the most difficult decision of his life. That being which treat or treats did he want. Giving a humming sound he looked between them all before glancing toward Jhana who had picked out a flower shaped treat, "Oh! That one is cute," He said, looking around again, before he pointed, "I think... maybe that one...?" It was interesting looking, in the shape of some sort of beast that he did recognize. Maybe it was something native to Oba or some other land they hadn't been to before? Either way it seemed cute, colorful, and was coated in what looked like bits of glittering sugar. He should also get some of the hard candies too, so that he had something to snack on as they went he thought to himself. For the moment at least it seemed as though he'd forgotten all about everything else and was focusing instead on the fun he was having with his sisters. Looking to Shima he asked, "And what one do you want?" Jhana and himself had already picked stuff out, now it was Shima's turn.

Dris'rynne Post: 4Sky Princess, Moon Goddess....What was with him and all of these names? It was embarrassing! Every time he addressed her with some flamboyant moniker her cheeks would flush, and her teeth would grind upon one another. It made the hand placed upon her thigh impossible to ignore. Dris'rynne look at him, really looked into those odd matorian eyes and tried to see if he was earnest. If he really wanted help then she could try, but he would have to stop touching her to-
She was trapped! With no way to escape, save for pushing him over the seats in front of them (which was a thought), Dris'rynne had no where to go. She sat up straight, body ram rod stiff with her entire being pulling as far away from Tes as she could possibly get. Then he touched her again...with his nose!
"Tes," Dris growled from between clenched teeth, "If you don't back off right now I will castrate you." Lessons in form and style be hanged; if he didn't get off her he would have more to fear in the petite shifter than any other opponent.

Xarnith Post 5 Xarnith nodded. He would enjoy hearing what the water male had in mind. Holding Bisera closer to his side he smiled as Fractis mewled from the sling. He pulled out a soft treat and gave it to the little creature. "Yeah, yeah...I know you want attention." he chuckled then looked back up to the other male. "Lead the way, perhaps we can grab something to eat on the way or when we get there?" He heard the roar of the crowd and sighed. He really didn't want to see everyone else win...

Xilarn Post: 5Xilarn scoffed and met Damis' look of amusement with a highly disenchanted and unimpressed glower of his own. "Of course you automatically assume I include 'charming' in what you are. And I imagine it's the only one you liked to hear. But," There was a moment of hesitation in which Xil tipped his head back, shut his eyes and folded his hands in his lap. He sighed dramatically, as if saying anything more was a great pain to him, as concessions to his younger charge tended to be. "yes, you're a charming young man. I'm sure many people find your optimism and zeal for life refreshing and delightfully unusual." It occurred to him to add 'Not me,' but Xilarn decided to leave it as it was.
Instead, one eye cracked open, and the corner of his lips edged up. "And I'll tell you where you're touched," Xil snorted teasingly, reaching up to jab one digit to the side of Damissan's temple. "Right in the head." While it shouldn't have been all that comical, an unasked-for hum of a chuckle slipped free at the very real threat of being the unfortunate test subject to the younger man's 'strategies of indoctrination.'
"I suppose it'll be good practice for you. I wouldn't want you to be too put-out when strangers laugh in your face and I imagine it'll help you spot the signs of a lost cause." He turned toward Damis, and fixed him with his most disinterested stare, dropping his voice to a monotonous drawl. "Impatient. Inattentive. Distempered. A glazed look in the eye." Xilarn snorted and smiled. "You'll have multiple weeks to get used to it. But for now!"
He disentangled his legs from Gadot's body, slapped Damis' knee, and pushed to a stand. The raptrix tipped his head back to look at him, tail picking up a hesitantly hopeful sway.
"I'm going to head down." He stepped around Gadot's form and Damis' legs. "And while I appreciate your dedication to staying by my side if I was injured, I don't expect to be so much so in a staged event. But perhaps you can pray for me, hm? I'm sure that'll help." He strode off down the aisleway before tossing an, "Oh, and watch the mutt," over his shoulder.

Teslaron Post: 5He was smiling, and of course he was. Teasing a pretty girl, winning his matches, enjoying a festival, Tes had every reason to smile. Everything he did was in good fun (for him, anyway), so on some level, he sort of expected retaliation in kind: fun, cute, a just slightly daring push at boundaries.
Dris'rynne looked significantly less amused. Even if Taslaron didn't take her words to heart (which he didn't, because he was hardly doing anything worth such an overwhelmingly negative reaction), she did appear to be quite seriously uncomfortable. And while that was mostly the intent, the level of the Shifter woman's discomfort struck him harder than it ought to have. His grin faltered. He'd expected refusal or a jab of her own, and Tes had prepared himself to respond to that.
Not this.
It took him several seconds to summon the muscle coordination that would allow him to peel himself off and away from her. He blinked, as though unsure of how and why precisely he'd done such a thing, then pushed from the bench into a stand. "Right." He carded a hand back through his hair, glanced skyward, and shifted his weight. "Sorry, then, I suppose." Not really, but if she'd really been so uncomfortable... Tes sighed. His golden gaze flicked back to her, and he hummed. "But y'know all your teeth are gonna fall out if you keep grinding them like that?" His grin fixed itself back in place. "Which I imagine some men find rather enjoyable, considering-"
No. Reel it back in. She probably needed a minute to recover.
Tes rolled his shoulders and glanced to the stairs leading out of the stands. "Anyway, I should probably head down." Had it been a minute, yet? It wouldn't be right if he just left it as it was. He couldn't fight feeling unaccomplished. He bent at the waist, back down to eye level. "Whadya say, Starshine?" He tapped his lips once with the pad of a finger. "Give us a kiss before I head back out to fight for my life?"
