Entry: It was a nice change of pace to watch a movie. Normally, Reign was perfectly content with doing the homework that the teacher assigned. Yet, every once in a while, it was refreshing to do something different for a change. They would have to thank the teacher once the movie was finished and class was over. The naga freshling took their spot in the back of the class, and they proceeded to watch the film without saying a word. "All of this seems pretty straightforward..." Nouns and verbs weren't all that difficult to understand, so that was nice. They just hoped their wouldn't be a surprise quiz once the movie had finished showing. That would really suck.

Entry: "Will there be a quiz after this," Aurum asked after the teacher announced that they would be watching a movie in lieu of their normal lessons. The dryad really hoped there wasn't, but she had to ask, regardless. She would never know if she never asked, right? Unfortunately for her, Aurum was too quiet in her questioning and failed to get the teacher's attention. Even when she waved her hand, the teacher didn't look. So, just to be on the safe side, the dryad pulled out a notebook and paper and began to take notes. It was better to be safe than sorry, and writing down the information would help her retain it better for later use. Good little Aurum always thinking ahead.

Entry: Zigari blinked at the tv that was rolled into the classroom. The last thing they had expected in a language arts class was a tv. Apparently they were going to watch a movie that day. Rubbing their face, Zigi sighed and shook their head. They actually enjoyed this class and enjoyed writing. A video seemed like such a boring time for them. Nouns and verbs was apparently the subject matter. Something that Zigi already knew about. Yawning, Zigi prepared to take notes, anyway, just in case there was a quiz on the video afterwards.

Username: Dragona Orden Nightmare: Corey Entry: Corey had not really expected this, this was a language arts class, he thought that he would be learning how to write, and read, and anything that dealt with words. Well he was not wrong about the "words" part, he took out a pencil and paper and started to take notes while watching the movie. Corey knew some things that the video talked about, but anything he did not know he would write down on his paper. Corey wanted to make sure that if there was a test on this, after the video, or even down the road, he had some notes to study from. Though at the same time he was starting to get bored of it and looked down at his arms thinking to himself that they would make a nice pillow if he put his head down on his desk.

Username: Dragona Orden Nightmare: Meena Entry: Meena had done the same thing since she started class, she took out her notebook for notes, and a pencil, Meena thought that this was probably going to be another test, till she saw the teacher pushing in a strange device. When the teacher explained that they were watching a video on nouns and verbs, Meena was glad she pulled out her notebook, and she started to take notes on the video. Meena was really glad that the teacher did the video instead of doing another test this was a good break for others, and gave time for Meena to study for any upcoming test that may happen, including getting some notes to study with.

Entry: Cleo sat attentively, her ears perking to hear every word of the video. She'd read over all her books more times than she could count (figuratively, of course - she was very proud of how high she could count) but was still hopeful she'd learn something new. The nouns and verbs covered in the video had already been covered in the books she'd read, of course, but it never hurt to keep an open mind for something new. Besides, the more she paid attention to the video, the less likely one of the other students or - heaven forbid, the teacher - would talk to her.

Username: Midnightglow17 Nightmare: Archemedes Entry: Arch sat down quietly to watch the movie about nouns and verbs. He paid attention taking notes, in case there was a test about it on another day, he didn't want to be caught off guard in that case. The video was easier for him to understand than a lecture about it would have been, which made Arch happy.

Username: Midnightglow18 Nightmare: Thee Dee Entry: Dee sighed he didn't feel like watching a movie today, he didn't pull out a notebook as he sat back to watch the movie about verbs and nouns, strangely he would have rather taken a test, or heard a lecture. Back and forth, movement, writing, something. Dee hated sitting still and watching stuff, he sighed and pulled out his notebook so he could at least take notes, so he wasn't bored to death.

Username: Obnoxious Obscurity Nightmare: Nevaeh Entry: Neaveh swung her feet under her chair as they watched the movie. It wasn't close to being the most exciting movie she had watched by far, but it was much better than all of the tests and stuff they had been having to do in the past few weeks. She leaned back in her chair, trying to pay attention. Should she take notes? Were they going to get surprised with a test about it after? A frown crossed her face. That seemed possible. With a quick nod, she quietly fished out her notebook and pencil and started writing things down.

Username: Obnoxious Obscurity Nightmare: Eva Entry: A video, huh? Eva smiled widely. She liked videos. She certainly liked videos more than she liked tests, that is for sure. She leaned forward, propping her head up on her hands, her elbows on the desk. She hummed very softly to herself, as not to interrupt the class. Nouns and verbs, seemed pretty straight forward. It seemed like this was an easy enough lesson to understand.

Username: Smerdle Nightmare: Cardiff
Entry: That this was Cardiff's very first lesson outside of his father's tutelage was probably for the best, no matter how deep the little hybrid's frown. If all he was asked to do was watch a movie, he couldn't lord his supposedly superior intellect over the other freshlings, secure in the mistaken assumption that he already knew everything he was meant to.
As it turned out, he knew less than he'd thought. He could speak most eloquently for someone so young and he knew his alphabet backward and forward, but the reasons behind grouping the words he used in the way that he did was something he hadn't thought of with very much understanding at all. Nouns and verbs were new concepts to the boy, and he tried to copy the words that flashed on the screen in his blocky print, but they were gone too quickly.
Cardiff's frown persisted. Dad was going to have a lot of explaining to do. He tried to take comfort in the fact that the colors were pretty and the narrator sounded nice, but in the end he still felt kind of dumb.

Username: Embi-lamb Nightmare: Pearl Entry: A lot of the students in the class seemed rather bored by the video. Pearl herself was feeling a little disengaged. She didn't find it interesting or boring. It was just another one of those slightly cheesy educational videos they showed children from time to time to make their assignments more 'fun'. Pearl really disliked it when they made you answer questions along with the movie. Some answers were easy to miss, as it was easy to zone out if the movie wasn't to your tastes, and often times most kids didn't care for what was being showed. Pearl tried her best to stay as attentive as possible and to write down what she could.

Username: Embi-lamb Nightmare: Laviticus Prompt Answer: Laviticus' game was very similar to madlibs. It was a game of 'fill in the blank'. What he had done differently, however, was that he had already written down, cut up, and folded up a bunch of pieces of paper and put them in to a box. Laviticus shook the box as he headed to the front of the class, nervous to explain his game. "As we all know," he started. "A metaphor is a figure of speech that is not meant literally when applied to a specific object. To say 'this test was murderous' is a figure of speech; a metaphor."Laviticus gave the box another shake. "I have a few sentences started. You'll be drawing out a descriptive word for those phrases, and you'll get your metaphor! Who wants to go first?"

Username: Nasaiki Nightmare: Frey Prompt Answer: Frey hated presentations with a passion. he wasn't very verbal to begin with and coupled with his anti socialness the whole thing was very uncomfortable. Still a grade was a grade and he was of the age that just sitting there and failing something because you didn't like it was unacceptable. "well Metaphors are a type of analogy which you are comparing two things that are thought to be unrelated to each other. However a lot of people hate learning about them so the game I came up with is that everyone gets about three slips of paper. You write something, a noun, that is fun to you or that you really like. Then the class pairs up and each pair takes out six pieces of paper. From those pieces of paper you then take turns making different sentences using a metaphor that has that noun"

Entry:
A movie! They were going to watch a movie. Arinas had to hide a small smile, glad for the sudden break in studying and testing. He always liked days where they watched videos, although he couldn’t remember ever seeing one in English class before. It reminded him of the days that he’d curl up on the couch with his dad and watch different documentaries on the tv. He pulled out a notepad to take notes on, because after all even though it wasn’t intense it could be used in the future and Arinas had to admit he was a bit rusty on grammar things. He wrote down the different things he always had trouble remembering and absent mindedly swung his feet back and forth beneath the floor.
