Well if i had to speculate based on the movie id say its a physically thing BUT with a few flaws. #1 being that it can touch you and not dissolves BUT if you touch it then it dissolves. Id also say while its physically in effect it has all the same effects as the real thing to a point. It mimic's sound, texture and maybe even temperature BUT its not solid. So sound doesn't interact with it but rather the pokemon. So ill say that while his echoing doesn't effect the illusion it doesn't come back as a solid object but rather something akin to maybe water ? Thats how id play it personally. also take your time i was going to be getting off soonish anyways.

As for going to meet up, I'm still open, but I don't want to intrude, either o uo So I'll just kind of have JD meander and maybe go explore. It's a little awkward to have my characters on the same island if they're not interacting, but I can at least try and shift him into a 'let's see the other islands' mindset so that if you need or want him to come by, he can still easily head over x3

It seems like they're at least somewhat physical, but that kinda makes them more than an illusion, but Idk if maybe it's some psychic ability too, or... And Idk if that would mean they'd give off a proper echo, either xD Maybe a sort of sketchy/inconsistent one? Not sure... Well if i had to speculate based on the movie id say its a physically thing BUT with a few flaws. #1 being that it can touch you and not dissolves BUT if you touch it then it dissolves. Id also say while its physically in effect it has all the same effects as the real thing to a point. It mimic's sound, texture and maybe even temperature BUT its not solid. So sound doesn't interact with it but rather the pokemon. So ill say that while his echoing doesn't effect the illusion it doesn't come back as a solid object but rather something akin to maybe water ? Thats how id play it personally. also take your time i was going to be getting off soonish anyways. The science part of my brain is trying to compromise with the logic and the pokemon-magic sides.... I think I'll have it be a sort of shakey image. 'Cause technically the sound would have to be reaching the Zorua/Zoroark for it to even hear, but the illusion does seem to have some physical properties that are more than just 'you expect it, so you feel it' and the pokemon's true form acting behind the illusion. So it'll just be something akin to getting a radio station with a bad signal =w= Shakey and not always there. As for going to meet up, I'm still open, but I don't want to intrude, either o uo So I'll just kind of have JD meander and maybe go explore. It's a little awkward to have my characters on the same island if they're not interacting, but I can at least try and shift him into a 'let's see the other islands' mindset so that if you need or want him to come by, he can still easily head over x3 Oh no no i still want him to come bye T^T Oh! Lol alright, I'll have him mosey on over, then! x3
