**** was mad... no, she was furious. Armand had done it now. He'd been going around scaring others for laughs, and one of her friends had gotten hurt. He wasn't even sorry, he'd just laughed harder!

**** was now racing through each street, down every alley, intending to find him and show him exactly what she thought of his pranks.

Seeing a familiar figure as she rounded the corner, **** summoned her staff and rushed toward the object of her aggression. He would pay...

"ARMAND!"

*** couldn't help but feel that Hel hated her. It was tough for her to move on from incidents that had happened in the past; she usually brooded about things, and they fester in her mind for so long that even fantasy can become reality for her... So her decision was to avoid. Like with so many other things, she could only avoid and avoid.

She was afraid of being hurt again.

She tried to make Hel see it from her point of view. Tried to show that she was hiding for her own protection, that she wouldn't be able to deal with it if he was to somehow break her heart again - how many tears had she shed over him? Was it a blessing or a curse to have met him? Oh, she loved him - but that only intensified the pain. She wanted never to feel that again. She wanted that ache to leave her alone forever.

But she knew that her defense was weak, and Hel was right. Hiding was not going to be a permanent solution.

"You know better, ****!" her mother scolded, her expression oozing displeasure. **** had known that she shouldn't attack the boil that'd been picking on her, but she couldn't help herself from lunging at him when he'd thrown one rock too many. She'd won the brawl, but the boil had run crying to his mother, who'd on turn spoke to her mother.

Needless to say, her mother wasn't pleased. Even after hearing ****'s explanation, she still had a scowl.

"How many times have I told you to just walk away? Rising to his taunts doesn't prove that you're stronger, it just shows you don't have self-control," she continued in exasperation.

**** nodded... she knew that... but she'd just been so angry...

Memories, emotions. He was remembering, and it was shaping him. And then, they were ripped away from his center, his body, the grey.

He was the memories, the memories were him, and they flickered past him as he faded away.

[Major blessing memory 1/5]

"You know what you are little brother," the older boy said, glaring down at the boy on the ground, his foot on his chest. "Nothing." He sneeered. "And if mother and father won't remove you from the family, I will."

He began to press his foot down and everything went black.

It was time. There was no going back, the way was blocked, but Gin did not want to go back, there was nothing for her in the empty chaos of the fog filled world the Goddesses had woken them into. She had done what they had asked, and in return that had taken something from her, something that had burned and hurt but it was gone, and there was only a void, and the lingering threads of some strong emotions that had stayed when the goddess had left her.

Other things had come to her, snippets of thoughts and feelings, of things that she did not understand. Memories, fragments of memories, but they were chaotic, scattered, and she didn't understand them.

So she stepped up willingly, through the gates, and walked purposefully forward, towards the pedestals, the alters, with her hand on her chest.

Oblivion would be better. Dying would but an end to the ceaseless murmurs and jumbled fragments of memory.

Choices were important though, and she knew where her heart would go. Destruction felt right, so it was Destruction she moved towards as her fingertips sank into her chest, pushing even as teh pain lanced through her. She didn't not hesitate.

Scissors in hand, she began cutting, digging into the warm flesh. Blood began to flow over her hands, her legs, everything. So much blood, but he kept going, kept digging, even as the pale hand grabbed at her, tried to make her stop. She needed the heart, the Goddess had requested it, she needed..

Anya?"

Voices called to her, not the weak half whispered murmurs that prevailed, but different, new. They were calling a name, her name, but she couldn't make it out as her hand closed around the heart and pulled, tearing it free.

When she staggered forward the voices faded, everything faded, and she gave a sigh of relief as she fell to her knees and lay the heart on the pedestal. It was quiet. It was finally quiet, and her sacrifice would bring destruction and death.

It was beautiful.

"Noni!"

The dark skinned child turned, face lighting up as her cousin raced towards her. *** understood her, he was the only one that ever did. Her other half, her favorite, her most beloved.

She threw her arms around him as he scooped her up and spun her, laughing as he kissed her chin before setting her on her feet and they stood there, arms around each other, and just pretended for a moment that the world around them didn't exist and it really was just the two of them.

Ajexil's face twisted into a shark-tooth grin as she tore her own heart out of her chest and presented it to the Goddess. The sacrifice was necessary. Only Destruction could bring the necessary chaos she craved. Even if she felt as if there were something missing... even as the figures howled her true name which disappeared in a blur of voices. They shook her and she began to fade.

She still smiled. A cruel and satisfied smile.

Her memories branded her as leader in training. The only figures of meaning in her life were overbearing and strict. They'd made her stronger for it.

She respected it.

As the girl broke apart all she could do was clench her fist in solidarity. She knew she'd made the right choice and her sacrifice wouldn't be in vain.

[Major blessing memory 2/5]

The music stand bit him, hard. "Oww!!" he yelped loudly, the music stand drawing blood. He cradled his hand away from the paper, not wanting to drip anymore blood on it, wrapping the bottom of his shirt around it.

Sneak peered out from under Myr's hat, scampering down his arm and nuzzling the wound. "I'll be okay," he reassured the ferret. "It's just my luck, anyways." The ferret nuzzled it again, and then scampered back up his hand, perching on his shoulders. Apparently he felt the need to keep an eye on things for a while.

[Major blessing memory 3/5]

After the forest, crossing a bridge had been easy, and he followed the crowd. He could see only one person he recognized at the moment, and he sprinted briefly to catch up to the Basilisk boy.

This cold weather had to be killer on him, he knew that snakes were cold blooded and needed heat.

"I'm going to stick with you for the moment" *** announced, grinning at Sepheran. "Tell me if I start to annoy you or you want me to go away."

He would leave the other boy alone if he asked him to, but he was really really hoping the other boy wouldn't mind his company.

It was a little more peaceful than he imagined.

Taking his own heart out had been something of an ordeal, but it had been soothed by Annabell's presence. It wasn't death, not really--they were simply offering themselves up to something bigger. And for some reason, Ortam felt okay with that, even if he had begun to question the goddesses' methods. He was a follower, not a leader: he wanted to protect and thus followed the path that could, hopefully, lead him to greater knowledge.

Knowing was half the battle, wasn't it?

Thus did the shadow give in and watch his memories fly by, his heart fading and expanding into the aether.

She decided to offer her heart to Creation and it felt both good and bad. She didn't have a heart anymore and that was so strange. But she made the right choice. For the greater knowledge.

She was starting to fade away and that made her panic! There was nothing she could do anymore. But it didn't hurt as much as she thought it would. Removing her heart had hurt her much more.

Memories started playing. Memories about who she really was. It calmed her made her happy again. Fading away more and more till she was gone and was just all those memories.

[Blessing of the Chosen - Memory 1/6]

It had taken awhile before he had noticed them. Everywhere he paused, the little grubs had shown up but *** paid them little mind, too consumed in his misery. It wasn't until he tripped, stumbling headfirst into thorny bracken and tearing open his side, that he finally ackonowledged them. He lied there in the twisted underbrush, tangled and bleeding and in pain. He was sure this was the end. *** watched as the glowworms suddenly burst from his wound in droves, swarming over it. They immediately got to work repairing the rotted flesh, and before long the bleeding ceased and the torn tissue was sewn together, held fast by sticky glowing tendrils of glowworm goo. Even the pain was fading and *** got to his feet, staring down at the tiny creatures.

They inched along the ground in front of his bony nose, some even attaching themselves to it, clinging onto him as though he were a beloved family member. He snorted, a soft whuffingly sound, having no idea what to make of them. A part of him hated them, the wriggling creatures that kept him alive against his will. But he couldn't hate them entirely, because they were a part of him... And they cared for him, he knew it deep in his bones. They loved him. They had chosen him. For one who had nothing, that fact alone was everything.

A little worm crawled awkwardly up his nostril, while another hung gleefully from his eye socket and both of them refused to dislodge, even as he shook his head. *** sighed, even if he loved them, it was going to be a long eternity.

[Major blessing memory 4/5]
He was intrigued by the properties that each gem had, and when it was his turn to choose, had to pause for a moment. Each jewel had a different meaning, and use, and it took him a few seconds to decide.

Eventually he pulled out two small square gems, the first a Ruby, and the second an Amethyst. They seemed as if they would go well together, and also would look good with the copper metal his hairpin was made of.

[Memory 1: Happy (Main Blessing 1/5)]

She was sitting in a car that was slowly moving forward. She was leaving her parents house for the first time! She was going to visit family after years and years being at home. She could see herself and the other children playing together in her mind. She saw her house getting smaller and smaller in the distance. She was feeling both exited and happy! She wasn't stuck at home anymore.
