"Hey!" Kai waved at Sally as he finished sweeping up some glitter. "C'mon in and head into the back area here. Welcome to Arts and Crafts Club!"
The door gong sounded again. Frankie Stein walked in...at least, Kai presumed it was Frankie underneath the gigantic pile of fabric she was hauling.
"L-little help, please?!" Frankie asked as she staggered in. "I've busted a stitch in my leg, and I'm afraid I'm about to-"
PAMF! She couldn't finish the sentence as her foot went one direction, and the rest of her went the other. Suddenly, the ghouls were covered in reams of colorful fabric.
"Oops." Frankie grinned sheepishly and sparked at the bolts.

Gryff suddenly found himself shrouded in darkness, and the darkness definitely smelled like and inferior polter-ester blend that was probably made in a chemical sweat shop somewhere outside of Fanghai.
"Ahem," he began, clearing his throat as he pulled off a mostly unrolled bolt of fabric, "not that throwing this away wasn't the correct move, but the recycling bin is in the back."
He eyed the lightning-bolt-and-puppies print dubiously.
"If this can even be recycled."

Ascreama squealed, shocked at the sudden attack of fabric. She carefully fought with the cloth, trying to avoid gooing it and finally pulled herself free.
"Uh, sorry ghouls." Frankie apologised again, swiftly tugging the fabric away from Gryff and rolling it back onto the bolt.
"Yeah.. Now that you mention it," Ascreama began at the boo's curt tone, "It looks like a cheap imitation Scary White vintage print." She studied the colourful fabric, helping pull the lengths towards the stitched-together ghoul. "I suppose it does evoke some 'nostalgic' vintage feelings. Maybe a throw-back piece?" She looked up at the griffon.
"Oh, I don't think we've met?"

Jewels scurried to Frankie's aid, taking some of the bolts in her arms.
"Oo some of these are just scabulous!" She gushed, admiring a particularly garish shimmer effect fabric in neon tones.
"We can definitely recycle all of this!" She set the rolls near the sewing machines. "Maybe some cute little retro skirts or... or.. " She babbled on mostly to herself for a bit.

"Er...." Kai cleared his throat a bit uncomfortably. "I think this is yours."
He held up Frankie's erstwhile leg. It wiggled its foot as if it was waving to Frankie, who'd pulled herself up on a nearby chair.
"Thanks! Just toss it here." She held up her hands. "Those scraps are from my sewing lab at home, sort of some this and thats I had lying around. I thought I could donate them to the A&C club in case anyone had any use for them!"
Kai shrugged and threw the leg over to Frankie. She deftly pulled out some thick twine and a large needle to sew it back into place. Kai politely looked in the other direction as the repairs took place and saw Gryff.
"Hey, Gryff! You made it! Welcome to the Arts & Crafts Club. We're not very structured....mostly we all sort of do our own things and help each other with advice and stuff. But sometimes we do coordinated projects too."
"Or, we used to, until it was Kai's turn to pick the project." Frankie added on, snipping the thread and testing the stitches on her leg. "You STILL haven't picked a group project for us to craft, Kai!"
"Well, uh...." Kai rubbed the back of his head. "I mean, I've been thinking about it, but uh...it's just that, you see...there are SO many possibilities. And not only that, but I've been so busy with Art Class's big project....which I....uh....haven't even actually started. Technically. Yet."
Yeah, he was behind. REALLY behind, in fact. Mid-terms were next week, and most of the students in Art Class were already halfway done with the project, or more. Kai squirmed uncomfortably.

And where Gryff went, that usually meant...
"Here ya go Gryff!" Lin announced as he held up a cup of freshly brewed coffin from that ogre that seemed to follow Gryff around, wherever it was that he went. "Just like you like it! Beans crushed with the back of a spoon, and no artificial sweeteners!"
Lin looked at Kai matter-of-factlly, roughly eye level with the top of the table.
"Gryff HATES artificial sweeteners! He...oo! What's this!?" Lin snatched hold of the hot glue gun and examined it.

"That's a-"
*POP!*
Kai sighed.
"That WAS a hot glue gun. The, uh, the bathroom is in the back hallway to the right." Kai winced at the gluesplosion now covering Lin.

Jewels squeaked loudly in surprise as the glue gun went pop, Staring wide eyed at the glue covered Gremlin and clutching her precious bedazzler closer to her. yeah, he wasn't getting to use this tonight.
"Oh caverns below... are you alright Kai?" He looked so crest fallen. "We..musthaveotheradhesives... yes... "

"Yeah, it's just that it sort of puts a big snag in my plans tonight." Kai shrugged. "I was going to work on my Art Class project, but if I can't glue the plaster of scaris forms to the canvas I have stretched over the wire frame, then I might as well do something else."
Kai put a tarp over the random pieces of his project. Now he had no idea what to do during the club time.
"What are you working on tonight, Jewels?"

Jewels held up her bedazzler, eying Lin warily as she did so.
"Igotanewbag.." She giggled. "It needs more sparkle."
given eerything she seemed to wear was decked out in glue on gems and glitter and such, it was hardly a surprise that she'd turn her new satchel into some sort of glittersplosion.

"Oh, gnarly, that's going to be clawesome!" Kai checked out the bag Jewels was planning to bedazzle. "Boy, you know, you could almost go into business doing this. I know I'd love to buy Demona a bag with rhinestone roses on it." As the two of them chatted, the other Arts & Crafts club members got settled in and set up their projects. Mr. Deathknell floated near Kai and cleared his throat, making the young boo jump."Right! Sorry. I almost forgot. Guys, if you want to buy anything from the shop tonight, the Arrght-House gives a 25% discount to everyone during Arts & Crafts club. Just let me know what you'd like to get, and I'll ring you up. In fact, it's probably a good time for all of us to go around in a circle and describe to everyone what projects we're working on. I'll uh...I'll go last." Kai's eyes darted around, desperate to find a project to work on. Something had to leap out...something..."Uh, Sally, why don't you go first?"

Kai Merha "Uh, Sally, why don't you go first?" Sally looked up as the attention turned to her. She looked around for a moment, then turned to Kai again "Projects..." she tilted her head. It seemed like the others had something they wanted to work on. Sally never did anything bigger than a simple doodle or tying a ribbon in a knot to make her bow. Still, there had to be something she could do. She nodded, straightening up "I want to paint something big. Something to send home to father to show him the fun I've had since I came here." she tilted her head, smiling to herself. Yeah! That's what she would do!

She flushed deeply at Kai's compliment. "Oh.. I just... nonono, i'mnotnearlygoodenough to charge." She was so flustered and flattered by his remark she quite failed to hear the last part about Demona.
"Ooo that's a greatidea!" Jewels squealed, clapping her hands enthusiastically at Sally's idea.

"Ooh, 25% off? I'll stock up on hot gloo sticks!" Ascreama said gleefully. She thoroughly enjoyed listening to other monster's plans for their projects and watching them progress. It was great seeing simple fabrics and materials being transformed into projects full of passion and inspiration.
She grinned broadly at Sally's idea. "You should totally buy some giant canvases tonight! The discount is tempting, and it'll help kick start the painting." the blob laughed loudly.

Lin was on Sally's left, and Gryff was on the gremlin's left, which if you think about it for a second, put Lin right in the middle of the two. A mostly free of the glue covered Lin (but there were still patches of the glue, dried now, spotted all over the gremlin.
(It had taken Gryff enough time to help de-glue his gremlin so they could get back to work.
Or so that Gryff could. Lin say right at his hero's side, and when Gryff barked out a request (command) for a certain tool, or a drink of water (coffin was mostly water!), Lin was there to oblige.
