"Who the hell" He looked at her. "Who the hell do you think you are!" Hitaro rushed over to her and grabbed her by the collar, not caring if he was leaving himself wide open for an attack. "I don't care how the hell you know about my past but you don't ever talk about those .... those horrible people ......" His grip loosened as his vision drifted, losing all thought of what was going on, only able to think about his past.

His grip failed and he fell back, loosing blood fast. Hitaro began gasping for breath, his vision was blurring, he felt no pain from the shock going through his mind.

♦The Magician♦ Death is a joke...Scarlet watched with a satisfied smirk as Hitaro fell back, badly wounded. "It was probably your fault they left anyway," she said dismissively. "With a temper like that." She walked forward and pressed the gun against his forehead. The guns created by her Deadman's Hand ability swirled around her, fully loaded. "I guess that makes us one-to-one" she said, winking at him. "Would you like to go another round?" She pulled out her deck of cards with her free hand and slipped out a card. This time Hitaro would be able to see it; it was the six of Aces with his face on it. She looked down at it for a moment before looking back up at him. "Or would you rather your sister play?"And I'm the punchline

"P-please, leave my sister out of this." Tears stung Hitaro's eyes. "Oh God, I'm going to die ..." He bit his lip, trying to stay focused on staying alive.

"Hold it, Rose-finch." From above a green-haired, hatted man fell, landing right in front of the woman. Snakes spiraled up from his feet and bit the guns around her, holding them in place. His hands slid up, one holding her personal gun up and the other taking the deck out of her hand.
"This is my game now. Starting with a little mind-reading game."
His hand squeezed the deck, making the cards flip out of his hand and hit the ground, until only one was left, its identity hidden to her. "Which card is now in my hand?"

♦The Magician♦ Death is a joke...Scarlet was enjoying her game with Hitaro so much that she didn't notice the strange man until he had landed in front of her and remanded her weapons into the custody of his snakes, as well as bogarting her deck of cards. She narrowed her eyes and frowned as she looked at him. "My fun...." she said, irritated. "You spoiled it." She watched him dump her cards on the ground and ask her to guess the one he had in his hands. Still frowning, she snapped her fingers and the Deadman's guns that were floating around them burst into flames, appearing as cards again which slipped easily out of the snakes' mouths. She held out her free hand and all the cards but the one the man had collected into it, shuffling themselves."And your game is pointless. The cards are a part of my very soul, almost as much as-" she stopped suddenly, then shrugged. "They are a part of my soul; they can take any value I desire them to, among other things. Using them to guess mundane card numbers is like using the Hubble Telescope to fry ants." She made the card in his hands reverse so the front was the back and the back was the front. It briefly flashed through every possible card value. "Now if you would kindly exit stage anywhere-but-here, I'd like to go on with the show." And I'm the punchline

A creeping darkness went up his sleeve and surrounded her card, locking it in green static when a certain value appeared. Joker. "Its the mundane that makes things amazing, love. Things of the common worldly nature, such as temptation, lust, jealousy, courage, love, and the call of duty. Its what makes these people move as if they had no care for their lives, be it for the sake of themselves or others. I just adore it." The snakes, no longer hassled with the task of holding the guns began to coil around the woman, not in a constricting fashion but rather a caressing way.
"Now here is the two ways this can go down, Rose-finch. I'll be leaving with your toy, fix him, so to say, since you so easily broke it. You can walk away, or you can attempt to kill me or chase me, but then ultimately fail. It really would be a waste of effort on your part, though I would still enjoy it either way. Choice is yours."

She looked up then at the new arrival, trying to decide whether he was good or bad at the moment. She turned her attention back towards her brother "Hold on a bit alright... I will get you out of here." she said with a worried tone .

♦The Magician♦ Death is a joke...Scarlet saw the joker and wasn't amused. "Oh yes of course, a comedian," she said sarcastically as she watched the card. "Blackjack." Suddenly razor thin aces swirled around her, forcing Hazama and his snakes to back off or be cut to ribbons. She folded up the rest of her cards and placed them inside her jacket along with her gun, the aces still swirling around her. She didn't know who this man was or how strong he was and since she was wounded from the previous fight she didn't have much of a desire to find out. "By all means, take them. It's not like you haven't been rude enough." She looked back at the two kids. "If he offers you free candy, I would humbly suggest you say no," she said simply. She snapped her fingers and the card in Hazama's possession evaporated. Doing so caused her damage but it was just one card so it was minor and it would only take her several hours to recover and create a new one to have a full deck again. And I'm the punchline
