This Bibarel seemed at least as tough as the Kangaskhan, if not more. Lyle hoped everyone had enough healing items to take care of it.
All Spinel cared about right now was fighting off the enemy to his boy would be safe. He shot a Power Gem at the Bibarel, hoping it would keep him out of range of the enemy's retaliation.

Erebos could feel the effects of the prolonged battle, and was beginning to tire. But he had a trainer now, and she chose this moment to offer him another Sitrus Berry which he gladly took.

Spinel was looking tired again, but Lyle knew he had to save his berries if he could. So he watched Spinel attack, alter for signs that the pokemon would soon be too hurt to fight.
Spinel's aim was off on his next Power Gem, but thankfully the Bibarel's aim was just as bad.
