Ace blocked the power that she sent to him, and his eyes fell down to the table and what he had craved. It was only half way finished but he knew that when it is finished it will read forgive me. He looked up to Alyx and before he spoke a another word he pulled out the knife and continued to finish the message. As he worked he said "I am not leaving and I will not give up the one thing that is always present...Hope." He watched as his hand moved to complete the letters.

'Only when we give up do we lose. I will die, but it will not be at the hands of Project One.' Ace responded her as he finally finished the craving he cleaned the blade on his pants before closing it and returning it to his pocket.

Ace tense as she screamed. He stood up and walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder and he found the strength that kept him going all these years and what would keep him going for years to come. He slowly poured the strength around her and created a wall that was able to keep Project One out of her mind. Once he did this he asked "Do you think all hope is lost?"

"Who ever said that love was only in the heart?" Ace asked as he stood there before adding "Love is said to be easily found in the soul." He took his hand off her shoulder and looked at her and quietly he asked "Do you really want to know the meaning of that?" he inclined his head towards the table where he crave the message into.

Ace knew that she would and he said "This is not something easily...said, if you don't mind I will just send you the memories. Is that alright? You will even find the answer to one of the questions you asked me earlier." He kept his voice clam and low as he talk to her. He just hoped that he could manage to get through it.

'No amount of strength will help with this.' He told her as he reached into his past and pulled out the memories that he would need to show her. Slowly and carefully he showed her everything that he tried to kept hidden. He started with the first and one of the more important ones. He showed her when he first saw the young women that he came to love. He showed her all there time together. He poured his feeling into her and as he did so he felt tears quietly and slowly roll down his checks. As he showed her his time with her he said 'That is what I felt it was love.' Then he showed her the one day that was forever burned into his mind. How the outbreak begun and spread like wildfire, but he showed her the memory of his love charging at him with blood covering her mouth and dripping off onto her shirt. He showed her the painful moment as he pushed the blade of the knife from his pocket deep into her skull and the horrifying moment when he saw the eyes of the women that he loved replaced those of the undead for a fleeting moment before she crashed onto the ground. His tears continued to pour out from his eyes, but he made no move to stop them or clean them.

Ace shook his head and tried to speak but only managed to open and closed his mouth so he sent 'No I will not kill you, I can't.' His hands where shaking bad and he felt his knees weakening so he set down heavily on the bed and placed his head in his hands as the tears rolled down his check and fell onto his shirt and pants.
