"Well I do think that is generally the point of using chains on someone," Christine said. He really did have a talent for stating the obvious. But fortunately, he was also entertaining and interesting.

"I see," she said, a little disappointed he didn't know any further details. She sighed softly. 'I shall have to ask Suzanne then. I am very interested in finding out who this student is." She was also disappointed tat there didn't seem to be anyone actually at the manor, so they couldn't go inside, it seemed. Because Sylth was already indicating they should head back.

She took the arm he offered, sidling up along side him. "I'm hardly one to be afraid of staying out after dark, but if you're ready to return..." She would go with him for now. Maybe he could tell her more about this group of his. "So Sylth, tell me--why are you interested in destroying Rosentale? Fun, or do you dislike the 'policy of acceptance.'"

"Of course. Society is already a big chain. I think i don't want to get tangled up in the chains of love as well. Having my eyes torn out due to love has never seemed appealing." Sylthfreiyn answered with a smile as he started to head out, taking Christine along with him.

Sylth briefly glanced at her when she asked about why he wanted to destroy Rosentale.
"There's very little reason in it other than the fact that I am very selfish and needy. I do not dislike the policy of acceptance, but I do not like it either. They're just pretty words to get money and students." Sylth doubted that there was such a thing as acceptance. It seemed like a silly and childish thought.

"Is that true?" Christine asked. "Because you do tend to talk about love and romance and awful lot for someone who wants nothing to do with them. I don't really know a lot about love but it seems like if you're having your eyes torn out because of it, you're doing it wrong."

"It seems we have a great deal in common. I, also, am very selfish and needy. But at the moment..." She sighed and looked down at her feet--her four inch stilettos were probably not the best choice of shoe for a walk to the city. They did give her a nice height boost though. But her feet were killing her. "At the moment, I'm mostly just sick of these shoes. I'd take the off but my stockings would get ruined." She pointed to an empty yellow cab not far away.

"Let's take that car back to Rosentale instead of walking."

"Hmmm... I suppose you could say I have mixed feelings about it. Sometimes it seems like a burden, but other times it seems quite enjoyable. As long as it's not too serious." Sylthfreiyn answered. After all, a serious relationship meant getting to know the other person's character and that was always the hard part when the other decides the real character wasn't worthy.

He glanced at Christine and then at her shoes. Sylthfreiyn was glad to be born a man so he never had to deal with such uncomfortable apparel. He gave a nod.
"I've never ridden in a vehicle before asides from a train. However, we were moving into fresh air so I couldn't very well enjoy it." Sylthfreiyn led Christine to the cab and found that the keys were left inside. He glanced up and assumed that the cab driver was getting some coffee.

"I'm not in the mood for waiting. Let's just go." Sylthfreiyn said as he opened the doors of the cab for Christine. He would enter after she as safely in the car. But they would have to hurry or the owner would soon realize his cab was being... stolen.

"Such a gentleman," Christine teased. "A gentleman who respects the many uses of chains. I very much appreciate this quality in male." After all--it wasn't often you met a man with manners and appreciation for some of her more questionable forms of entertainment."

She sat carefully and swung her legs inside, instantly slipping her shoes off as she waited for Sylthfreiyn to shut the door and join her. Well, they were apparently stealing the cab. Fun! Too bad the driver wasn't actually in it. that would make it even more fun. Though it did worry her that he apparently didn't know how to drive. But, eh, that would just make this all the more fun.

Sylth had mentioned earlier that it didn't seem the students came to see him often--which must mean that much of the time he had nothing to do. And as substitute, she also would probably not be busy often. She was definitely going to make it a point to stop by his office frequently.

Sylthfreiyn closed the door for Christine once she was inside and then he entered and settled into the driver's seat. "Well the fact that you haven't run away yet is much to be appreciated on my part as well. Usually I try to be... a bit more reserved than I am now." Sylthfreiyn answered as he glanced around to figure out how the cab worked. He watched some TV back in his dorm, but he wasn't very fond of it. But he did remember that they moved the stick at the right side to D.

The cab was already started since the driver was just getting a quick cup of coffee or something like that. Just as the driver walked out, Sylthfreiyn accidentally pushed against the gas pedal and the cab was violently lurching forward at an alarming rate.
"Oh dear..." Sylthfreiyn said as he maneuvered the cab and roughly scraped against another car as he tried to avoid hitting it.

And then he was running a red light because he had no idea how to stop. Since he didn't want to T-bone a car, he was turning abruptly into another lane as other cars that almost ran into him started honking at him.
"This is a bit more difficult than it seems." Sylthfreiyn remarked with a slight frown.

"I don't think you've given me a reason to want to run away," Christine said, clinging to the door for dear life. "There's a little green car just there..." She pointed to a car that was very much in the path of the cab. "Sylth...is it possible we might be safer with me driving? Not that I'm frightened particularly but--"

She watched in amusement as her side view mirror was sheared off by a stop sign.

"Perhaps you should slow down?"

Light wore a black wool jacket, with a red scarf. His white wings folded neatly behind him as he walked down the sidewalk with a brown paper bag, full of groceries. He held them with both of his hands, close to his chest as walked down the quiet street. There were a few people out but the crowds were small enough to let Light feel comfortable. However, he was a little nervous with some of the glances people directed towards him because of his white hair and wings. It wasn't everyday that people saw an angel-er crow walking around with a bag of groceries in their arms.

As he walked around, a yellow cab flew by and was veering off into the other lane. Light had been startled when this happened since he wasn't used to vehicles. It was obvious that Light was nervous around the moving machines. He was a bit of a pansy when it came to it; birds generally didn't get along with anything man-made, like cars. Light shook his head slightly when he thought of this since it was a silly thought. It wasn't like he was riding in the cab and neither was he running around in the streets. He was perfectly safe as long as he stayed on the sidewalk... But, what if a car suddenly crashed into him? He would die! Light's already fair complexion paled further, giving him the appearance of a ghost. The crow's pace quickened in order to get away from busy roads, minimizing any chance that a freak accident may occur.

It was pretty difficult figuring how little strength he had to put on the break to even slow down the cab. But to focus on that while trying to avoid being hit was a bit of a hassle, so full speed on it was! The screeching of the tire wheels sounded lovely to Sylthfreiyn's ears though. He enjoyed it really and he was on the verge of losing himself again to the excitement. They turned into a corner and Sylthfreiyn clumsily stopped the car, causing it to lurch forward in a very abrupt way. "Yes. I fear we will damage the car..." Sylthfreiyn glanced at the broken side view mirrors and thought of all the scratches on the side. Well the cab was already damaged. "...more than it already is. We still want to get back to Rosentale and I have been too distracted with not being hit to realize where I have taken us."

When in doubt with a mistake, smile! Sylthfreiyn turned to face Christine and gave her an apologetic smile. "My apologies. If you don't mind, I will gladly relinquish the driver's seat to you." Sylthfreiyn attempted to move to the front seat but his legs were a bit too long so it was a very awkward shift. Somehow, he manage to do it.

"I believe it's long past time to worry about damaging the car," Christine teased. She watched in amusement as Sylth moved across the seat toward her. Normally she would get out and move to the other side but she wasn't sure where her shoes had got to. And she also wasn't sure her door would still open. Instead, she decided to wriggle her way over Sylth--which proved to be more difficult than she suspected. First, she banged her knees on the dash, then nearly managed to ram the gear shift up her bum when she lost her balance. She finally managed to slide into the driver's seat, taking a moment to smooth her hair before, stretching slightly and fastening the seat belt.

"I should warn you my driving is only marginally better," she said, before placing the car into drive and slamming her foot onto the gas. She whipped out into the traffic, causing a chorus of horns and squealing brakes. But at least she stayed in their lane.

She managed to speed along for several minutes before the flashing lights and sirens began to blare behind them.

It was very awkward trying to get to the other seat. Well, it was only awkward if one thought it. But Sylth had to admit, it was a bit difficult. Sylthfreiyn bumped his head against the top of the car and his knees and legs bumped into something and most of the time he wasn't sure what he was ramming his legs into. But somehow it was done and he was sitting peacefully at the front seat, fixing his shirt a little since it got messy from the move. "Have you driven before?" Sylthfreiyn asked as he relaxed in the front seat.

Christine started speeding off and Sytlfhreiyn had to hold the support at the side of the car to keep himself from lurching too much. He wasn't fond of all the motion, but he did enjoy the noise and chaotic sounds.
"I believe you are a very wonderful driver. I feel at ease listening to the music you create."

Christine let out a string of curses as she checked the rear view mirror and saw the lights. Rather than slowing down, she floored it...even more, taking a sharp right turn. "Just...hold on!" she said, a look of determination on her face as she bowled over a row of bright orange traffic cones.

Graaagh! Dead end!? Christine slammed on the breaks, gripping the steering wheel tightly as the car screeched to a halt. "Well. Drat. I've no idea where we are."

She glanced in the mirror to see the police officer was already on the way to their car She casually rolled the window down just as he leaned down and said, "Where are you going in such a hurry?" He had a disgustingly fatherly tone in his voice--that sort of disappointed tone all fathers got when you had done something stupid. It made her want to stab him in the face with a piece of broken mirror. Instead, she said with all seriousness, "The hospital! My husband is in labor."

The man looked a little disgruntled. "Your....husband.......do you take me for a fool?"

"Hey! Not all species do things the same way as humans!" she said, looking at Sylth.

███████████████████ ███ ██ █

Sylthfreiyn blinked. What a disgusting thought? Labor? A male demon? Impossible. It grossed him out and he just was... disgusted. But it seemed like a fairly fun charade. His hair was already mussed up from the turbulent ride and he had gotten a bit motion sick during the ride so his unhealthily pale skin was just even more unhealthily pale. It was worse than dead skin pale.

Sylthfreiyn showed a pained look and his hands frantically scratched at his collar until he manged to clumsily loosen it. His hand then ran through his hair and clutched it like he was going through some kind of unknown pain.
"Please. I need to return home. I'm about to enter my three years of labor. I don't want to do it out here." Sylthfreiyn rasped as he allowed a large release of demonic energy to have his wings protrude form his back. The slashed out of his skin and his blood splattered. Dammit. It hurt. Curse this world and his slow regeneration rate in here. He would have to bandage his back later. He made sure that only a small portion of his wings appeared though since it was literally stabbing through his skin. Blood was dripping and his shirt was ruined. Well, he just wanted to see the utterly disgusted look on the men's faces, so it was worth it. A pity he couldn't torture them though. So he might as well torture their eyes and mind.

"It's coming...!" Sylthfreiyn snapped. "The baby's legs!"

"Three years of..." The cop suddenly cut off when something violently erupted from the man's back. He backed away from the car slightly. "Ah...uh.....what...are your names?" he asked.

"Christine and Sylth...Tremaine from Rosentale Academy," she answered since she didn't know Sylth's last name. She figured mentioning the Academy would help solidify the story since it tended to have a reputation for the weird. Besides, teachers from the school causing trouble might hurt its reputation a little. Might as well kill a few birds with a single stone. "If you don't mind, we really do need to be going before our little baby starts chewing his way out...Darling? Are you alright?"

"Chewing...?" the cop said faintly. "Ah...alright. You can, um...carry on. I'll give you a police escort back....to your school?" He beat a hasty retreat back to his car and seconds later was speeding off the sirens on.

"Hold on," Christine said, starting the car and quickly putting it in reverse. She did a hasty turn, knocking over several trashcans. Shifting the car into drive, she started after the police car, shearing a mailbox off at the ground as she did. "Are you really alright?" she asked as they headed back toward the academy.

Sylthfreiyn quickly retracted his wings the moment the men disappeared and were speeding off. Christine was already driving away. Sylthfreiyn smirked. That was all in good fun. Of course, it was odd. Pain. Pain that didn't go away. But stayed. It was Sylthfreiyn's first time feeling it and he disliked it a lot. Normally he would be regenerating and everything would stop hurting by now, but that didn't happen in this world. So now he had two slits in his back that would probably take a while to heal. If his whole wings came out, he was certain of death.

"I'm fine. The blood is just for show. It's nothing really." Sylthfreiyn lied as one hand grasped his seat tightly, trying not to sway too much. "Well, I ought to be pretending to be in labor. Although for the record, male demons do not go into labor, but they don't know that."

Sylthfreiyn lowered his head and let out a snort. "But I must say. They were fast to retreat. As a fellow male, that policeman should have been more sympathetic about my plight. A male going into labor. Surely he would at least figure how painful such a thing would be."
