The stalagmite wouldn't be able to protect as it shattered under the pokemon's weight the Onix actually losing sight would stop only inches from Raven's position. It was the rocks themselves that would actually cause the greatest damage to the boy as his eyes turned upon that flick of red flame. If that huge body had hit ....it would have killed him instantly as it's entire massive frame rose upwards.

It was the guardian of this area, and though he is indeed bulky this was his terrain as he ignored the human for a moment. THe human was a problem, but the lizard was a greater threat. Fire versus steel, he wouldn't allow the magnemite to be interfered with in any way as he turns himself towards him ...making sure his coils fill the tunnel in a protective method.

For once she missed as the Emolga hopped simply to one side, and then in a move that simply read desperation ...she jumped and slammed her tail against the ground as she pushes off and up. She was aiming to get back to her trainer even as she sent out a slash with air ...to try and cut. It was short range and so far such attacks had failed. Though desperate time called for desperate measures as she launches and attack at the same time. The waves of air she had created to give her lift was also being used to send the waves of air current to slash at her opponent as well ...it was desperate and stupid, because such a move irritated injuries as well ...as simply made it impossible for the attack to do much more than radiate outwards.

In other words it was an horribly weak move ....as she flips once and glides once more to land on the girl's arm.

((Nuts n' berries. So the behind the back Fire Punch did diddly? Oh well.))

Raven groaned slightly as he rose to his feet. Luckily the none of the rock fragments had managed to pierce his skin or his clothes, he didn't exactly have the money to go mending either. Still, though the blows had been blunt, they were also heavy. There would be much bruising on the morrow, and he was certain to be feeling it.

Fable didn't even take notice of the Magnemite off in the distance as he back peddled from his attack. The orange reptile hadn't been around when his Trainer had passed it, and it was the Onix whom had clearly been meant as his opponent upon release. His eyes remained locked on those of the Onix, unflinching as he looked his opponent over. This would be a difficult battle...but for Raven, as much as himself, he would win it.

Charging forward at the massive hunk of rock, Fable swept his claws over the flame of his tail as he had done so many times before. The arm immediately ignited, blazing brightly as the limb swung forward at the Onix. Fire on it's own wouldn't do much to rock, all the more reason he had to put more power behind the punch itself. That was the thing about Fire Punch, as much as it was a flame attack, it would always be a strike with the fist.

The Nidoran seemed to pay the move little head as the shadows dispersed from her body. Eyes shooting downward, the Pokemon was more concerned with what had tripped her then the attack of the Emolga. Back tracking, the Nidoran's ears perked, her eyes narrowing into an irritated glare as she found the source of her failure. Small and blue, it was a poisonous barb...one of her's no less. Apparently Victoria's early rock throw had managed to snap one off. Not something particularly harmful physically, but beyond annoying as the cause of her failure in the moment of victory. A part of her own body had essentially betrayed her.

((Why couldn't this be up there!? gonk ))

~Sorry, that was for an escape roll ...no attack~

(7 - 6 + 9 - 13 = -3dmg/no dmg)

A huge smirk ....as the pokemon's Fire Punch wouldn't even be felt. The Onix had fought quite a few worthy opponents before, but he had to wonder if this would be one of those times. No, it didn't matter, he was here for one reason and one reason alone ...to protect the Magnemite and crush anyone whom dared to stand between him and that objective. A fire type wasn't allowed here, their kind is a threat ...as he shifts his coils and realizing the tight fit would plunge his tail into the earth. He couldn't dig, but he could use his huge bulk to ram the earth apart as his tail would vanish in one area and pop up in the other behind ....the pokemon as it reaches out to constrict him.

If he couldn't move, neither would that option be left to his opponent either.

Raven was forgotten at that moment.

(Please be high ...Please by high)

The attack was weak as ever, but she landed safely back on Victoria's arm. There would be no charging this time as the girl put her other arm protectively around her .....as she glare daggers.

"AIR SLASH."

She declares the counter-attack once more. It was as risky as every, but this time she had plans of protecting her pokemon with her life. It seemed she had thought that Aella could fight alone, but it was become more and more clear that that was simply impossible as she watches the Emolga struggle so harshly. Her tail flicking in pain as she sent it as carelessly ...as possible. She didn't have the strength for much more as the pokemon's head would actually fall against her arm.

She hadn't passed out, but she wasn't too far from it.

((Actually it was meant as...meh, nevermind. Not something worth arguing over for what little aid it would have been to me.))

Raven smirked, the Onix was arrogant, he could see that. Arrogance born of being the biggest baddest thing in the cavern most likely; and why shouldn't be be confident when faced with a Fire-Type? They were fighting at a disadvantage to be true...but the fact the Onix was aware of this would work to their advantage. Since he didn't see Fable as a threat, the rocky behemoth had all but completely dropped his guard...

"Fable, Counter with Fire Punch!" Raven commanded.

The Onix might have forgotten about the young human, but Fable hadn't. The Charmander had been patiently waiting for the next command. This wasn't a battle he was accustomed to fighting, and unlike Raven, he couldn't really see anything passed the Onix at this point.

Fable would ignore the incoming tail, opting to face the Onix a tad more directly. Charging forward recklessly as he had before, the Charmander swept one fist through his life giving flame. Like an oil soaked torch the limb ignited instantly, the flames burning ever brighter as Fable thrust forward at what would constitute his opponents under-belly.

">Stubborn fools!<" The Nidoran spat at them both, quickly turning around and charging forward. Rather then allowing the shadows to consume her as she had before, she simply focused them upon her feet and horn. She ran faster then was normally possible, with a lithe grace one with such stubby legs shouldn't be capable of; but that was the beauty of Pursuit. She could chase down her prey endlessly.

In one fashion or another, this was quite likely to be the final blow...

(12 - 2 + 9 - 13 = 6dmg/2 = 3dmg)

The attack would hit as the tail would flinch with the pain of the attack as it manages to catch a crack in his armour. Just a single crack as as the pokemon shook it off with rage in his eyes. He hadn't felt pain in a while either ...but then again, they were on equal levels even if his defensives well out flank whatever this pokemon could throw at him.

His eyes narrowed ...as he shook his body like a shake or a chill ran down him. It was enough to make the tunnel itself shake with his movements ...as his eyes narrowed at the pokemon and then turned to look at the human. He had forgotten about the human, but was it really worth him paying any more attention to it.

He twist his head back to look at the Charmander one more.

For a later time maybe, as he hunkers down again. His tail disappearing as the pokemon seems to actually be observing the pokemon like a human inspecting a bug.

Fable darted back somewhat, allowing himself a faint reptilian smile as he looked at the scorch mark upon the Onix'is rocky body. It wasn't much, but it would certainly suffice for the moment. Now if only he could cause a little more harm while he was at it.

Rolling his shoulder slightly, the Charmander swung his tail forward again, catching the flames with his fist. He was still inexperienced, so very few moves were yet his; but this one had proven to be tried and true. So, like a broken record, the Charmander hurled himself forward at the Onix. Fire Punch could not do much on it's own; but it happened to contain a nasty side effect on the target when struck just right.

Fable's flaming fist would never reach the Onix however, as a Pokeball flew through the air overhead, bouncing off the Guardian's rocky hide. Raven had opted for another path it would seem...

The little Charmander was forced to halt mid stride, a baffled expression worn closely upon his face.

(11 - 8 + 8 - 7 = 4dmg)

It would finally end ..then as that wind caught the Nidoran in the face. The attack cutting, but not killing ...as it would slam their foe. The winds passing on the sides of her to hit the far wall ....as Aella sat on the girl's arm. Panting harshly, but her eyes were narrowed as well. It was one thing to pound her into the ground, another to nearly kill her, but when the threat to her trainer became real ....there was no mercy as she closed her eyes. Promptly passing out from the pain of the entire situation .....she had pushed her self far and beyond what anyone could have asked of her.

Her eyes closed, her ears down ...as Victoria looked with murder at the Nidoran, but there was things that had to come first.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 30, 2011 3:16 am

The Onix wasn't expect it ...wasn't looking for the pokeball as he was hit. His eyes showed an massive resistances to this calling, but then again ....he doubted his reasoning here. If he stayed he would always guard, and he disliked the pain he felt ...but the thrill of the battle. Should he allow it, what of the magnemite .....when was the last time a fire type got down here, and if he went with this human he could make them understand why it's so important to leave it alone.

Besides, when he was trapped in a time warp no one bothered it.

He decided he wouldn't fight as the pokeball closes around him and it doesn't even rock as it goes from red to white. A decision as always with this pokemon made in haste, and this one he couldn't undo.

((Hee, in work now, obviously this is gonna be a bit more sporadic as I can't really post up))

::It was Jasmine who had made off worse, tactically, throwing away your walking aide was not a clever idea, as evidented as the Cranidos kept going and she had tumbled over to the ground as she had continued thundering through, shattering a tree::

::She would have been more impressed if she wasn't considering that could have been her or the others, she bit down as she wasn't going to be able to help them just now, she made her way on her backside and hands, pushing to get back to that crutch on the ground...::

::Meanwhile from above, the two pokémon watched on, Claudandas' fur stood absolutely on end, last time he'd accepted a flight atop Lindbergh had been momentary, actually being yanked into the sky was another, completely terrifying experience for the feline, his splayed claws wouldn't pierce Lindbergh's hide no matter how much he tried to grip hold, but he turned earthward, the dizzying heights, the Cranidos below them...::

::And Jasmine on the ground:: [We need to go down!]

::Lindbergh quirked an eye:: [Why bother? Let it try and catch us up here, see how well that goes!]

::He suddenly tugged the Gligar's ear by the teeth to look, forcing her to see the situation:: [We're up here, Jasmine isn't!]

[We have to keep that thing distracted, before it gets bored and targets her instead!]

::Lindbergh looked down at the human in trouble, typical, her eyes flung back at the cat with mischief:: [Aren't you turning into the loyal housepet?]]/color]

::For her troubles, Lindbergh would be rewarded with a set of claws that scratched past her tongue! The cat glowered at the bat-hybrid, the Purrloin snarling:: [We go down... we fight!]

::The Cranidos could watch on and see the pair turn in mid-air, they were turning back now towards the rock type, picking up speed, what they planned however...::

[Ready?] ::Claudandas signalled to the Gligar, with only a frantic nod for an answer:: [Set...]

[Go!] ::The pair rushed in and leapt at the last second, splitting off in different directions, as Claudandas leapt for a tree, whilst Lindbergh went for another, they were splitting its attention, doing whatever they could!::

::As Claudandas landed he saw a familiar metal glint and swiped his claws backward, slicing the coin free of the tree and sending it flying for a shot at the Cranidos' eye!::

::And Lindbergh's tail snapped mid-flight, bucking out with its point at the other, like Jasmine previously with the Omanyte's shell, they were looking to rob the Cranidos of its senses, their attacks may not be worth much in damage points, but together and targeting weaker areas, they could combine their efforts!::

((Roll 1, Pay Day, Roll 2, Poison Sting))
((Actually forgot to ask =O How does pay day work for picking up the money afterwards?))

((Also, dangit for people catching my faves, lol))
