Name: Leonardo Rossi Team: Alphas Location: Halls - Prom A Night To Remember... Or Possibly Forget. “Thanks” was all Leo could get out before Aurelie rounded the corner and nearly ran into him. Needless to say his breath hitched for a brief moment – she was the last thing on his mind right now. There were obvious things they needed to say to each other… Leo hadn’t gotten a chance to say any of them yet. Now wasn’t the time, though. Leo knew that if they got into a conversation that would be all he would be thinking about instead of trying to have fun. So for now, he kept quiet, but he could pick up the faintest hint that Aurelie wanted to say something to him too. After seeming to struggle with it for a moment, she turned to Tara and made a simple request that made Leonardo chuckle slightly.
“Not going to happen,” Leonardo smiled, dashing away any hopes of embarrassing pictures of him. “The chances of them playing that song at the prom is slim, and the chances of me dancing to it are even slimmer.” Tara commented on how she was sorry Aurelie wasn’t going to the prom. Wait, she wasn’t? Leonardo eyed Aurelie curiously… well; she obviously wasn’t, given her present attire. His left eyebrow rose as he posed the question: “… Why aren’t you going?” After a few more moments of observation, he understood. She was going out on a date. With someone else. The way she said ‘Late’ had a certain tinge to it that resonated major disappointment.
Aurelie changed subject back to their night rather quickly, asking whether or not they were going to dine or dance first. Tara answered the question for all three of them, giving the good point that they were already dressed up, they might as well dance first. Besides, their clothes might get messed up if they get food on them as well.
As he and Tara were walking away, Aurelie called after them, wishing them a good night. “Thanks,” Leo answered, not really sure whether or not to add ‘You too’ to the end of that. He decided against it, seeing as how it might remind her once again of how alone she was. He felt sorry for her… and could only think about it as he and Tara made their way down to the garage. Leo could only imagine how Aurelie felt seeing him with Tara… that is, if she had any scant hint of feelings for him anyways. Still, seeing as how he was one of the first friends she made on the Alphas after her reassignment, Leo felt sort of obligated for comfort her. If Leo didn’t have this pressing engagement, he probably would have thrown off his tux and stayed with the blonde, but he knew he had to go, either way.
There were already a good number of people streaming in to Frontier as they pulled up. Placing the car in park, Leo made sure to round the front of the car and open the door for his date as she got out. A puff of air blowing out of his nose sufficed as a short laugh as he picked up on the sarcasm in Tara’s voice. “Only if you are,” he replied. It did seem sort of insignificant in hindsight, seeing as how all of the adventures they had already been through put this supposedly exciting night to shame. The Halloween incident, the mall… much, much more exciting than this. That was how they were so much more different than other people their age; for normal people, this would be a hallmark of their high school career, one of the most exciting nights in their young lives. This? This was child’s play.
Tara’s faux tense attitude over which table to pick nearly made Leo laugh, but he managed to play along beautifully. He was reminded of the climax scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, where the skilled adventurer had to pick which Holy Grail was the real one or else he would die. Emanating that same type of tension, he pretended to nervously look around at the different tables before looking back to Tara. “That one,” he pointed towards a table in the back corner, currently unoccupied. Leo would be lying if his previous experience as a covert operative didn’t influence his decision. Corners were good for seeing who was coming, but hard to get out of. Still, whenever Leonardo went to a restaurant, he made sure to get a corner seat.

She hadn't meant to make it look so obvious that Leo and her were long overdue for a heartfelt conversation, and as she realized just how quick Tara was on picking up on it, a faint pink tinted her cheeks. To cover up the silence, Aurelie turned to the brunette and requested pictures of Leo dancing, to which she got a response that she should attend the event as well. Crinkling her nose with a smile, the telekinetic declined gracefully. “Oh, I'm sure there will be a few hot blonds there in my stead – ones that can actually dance, no less.” Or would dance. That was a better word, but she wasn't going to correct it.
"Oh, come on.” She cooed, giggling at the prospect of Leo flapping his arms like a chicken. “You only live once.” Aurelie responded when he said he wouldn't dance to the song at all. “Plus, I'm sure Tara will be out there clucking right along with you.” And that would have been a sight to see – but not enough to make her second guess her decision to stay in for the night.
The telekinetic was taken aback just a bit by the dark haired man's question as to why she wasn't suited up and going out, and she shrugged, a timid smile ghosting her features. For a moment, she thought she'd heard a bit of shock in his voice when he'd asked, but she quickly disregarded it -- she didn't know him well enough to start making assumptions. But it was harder to tell him why than it had been for her to explain to everyone else, especially when she looked back at how their last hangout had gone... and how the butterflies had crept into her stomach when he opened her car door. Even if he wasn't interested in her that way, she felt it insensitive to bring up another boy in front of him. Just in case. “Not my sort of venue.” She skated through, wondering if he'd be too in tune to completely believe it. Though, he did know she could be quiet in certain situations, and she had avoided the plethora of people on her first day with the Alphas... It might have just been enough to conceal anything deeper than a meek personality.
It was then that her phone beeped with a text, and she put up a facade that was all happy by wishing them well.
Tara decided they should go to the dance first, and Aurelie smiled, waving back as she took her leave. “Have a great time guys!” She said, masking any disappointment she may have felt about her own plans dissipating with one text. There were always other nights they could hang out...
Assuming he didn't spend the rest of his life in detention for not going to gym.
***
Lost in the adventures of Tom Sawyer, Aurelie finished her paragraph before looking up to see who the intruder in the music room was; the wait was simply out of the sheer need to not lose her place rather than a disinterest in who had popped in. As her she peeled her eyes from the page, a small but gracious smile touched her lips. “Hey Alex.” She intoned quietly. Her teammate mentioned that she had assumed everyone was headed over to Frontier tonight, and the telekinetic merely shook her head once in the negative. “It's alright, I'm not offended.” There was a muffled giggle that followed, just to ensure that point. “I had a hang out date tonight, and neither of us are exactly keen on dancing.” She said, crinkling her nose to emphasize her point.
No one really needed to know the truth about her passion for dancing, when it wouldn't change how drastically different her life was than what she had wanted. Had dreamed of. Nor did anyone need to know who her “date” was... Had Dom considered their staying in a date, or was she just being hopeful? A slight rouge crept to her cheeks – mostly from uncertainty – even if her expression never faltered. “But, it turns out that he had some more pertinent matters to attend to before we can do anything.” Shrugging, she made it easy to know that she was being a good sport about it; his grades needed to come first anyways, else he'd never get back onto the Omegas. Plus, it gave her a little quiet time to catch up on her reading.
And short of Alex, who was dressed as though she too would be leaving soon... no one would disturb her if she decided to practice the piano. It was silly really, but having an audience, she realized how personal it must have looked for Leo when she reacquainted herself with the instrument. “Oh I'm fine with you being here,” The blond said, waving off Alex's worry about disturbing her with a dismissive flick of her hand. “I just figured that I might get some practice time in, just in case he ends up not being able to meet me for dinner.”
Growing uncomfortable of being the center of attention once again, Aurelie abruptly switched subjects, casting a scrutinizing appraisal at how Alex looked. “I'm sure you'll stop a few hearts tonight in my honor though, right?” She winked then, azure eyes sparkling with delight at the thought. “There will be lots of guys there I'm sure will love to dance with you.” Perhaps she should have scooted her along; prom wasn't going to get any younger with the human sensor hanging around the academy. And she'd been just about to do that when Lillian barged in, no doubt intent on making Aurelie go to the event of the evening as well.
The copycat cast an apology to her roommate for interrupting, but Aurelie felt as though she should shrink in her seat. No way, no how was she going to the dance. “Reading Tom Sawyer.” She answered dryly, completely ignoring that she'd known what Lillian had meant: why are you still in regular clothes when there is a formal to attend? Though, the woman had scarcely heard her, or at least had selective hearing for the day.
A finger hooked through her belt loop, and the telekinetic nearly fell off of the piano bench with the force that Lillian tugged at her. “I don't have anything formal to wear, and you aren't exactly my size.” She countered, nearly tripping over her feet as her teammate dragged her from the piano and out into the hall.
“Plus, I'm kinda waiting to hear back from–” She cut off then. What with her small crush being so new, she wasn't about to bring it up in front of another teammate and a few strangers. Not when she wasn't sure how he felt... And while it wasn't an actual rule that you couldn't date someone from another team, she knew well that Cissa would give Dom a hard way to go if any sort of rumors trickled out. Especially while he was benched... he needed as little distraction from his studies as possible.
As Lillian pulled her along, another two people entered the music room. The telekinetic flashed them a smile, not knowing either of their names. (Tony and Vee) “Hi and bye all at once.” She said, ever trying to remain cheerful, despite the fact that she really didn't agree with the copycat on her idea that the she had to go.
By now the door shut with a small click behind them, and Aurelie heaved a sigh, searching skyward for an excuse that Lillian would accept. “I convinced Rob and Bianca to go together... they were both wanting to go anyway.” And she didn't. At all. “Besides, being presentable, on the very off chance we'd find anything remotely acceptable in my closet would make you miss most of the night.” She said, compiling line after line in effort to be left alone.
“It's sweet of you to extend the offer, really Lils... But I'm not cut out for that prom deal.”
* * *
Aurelie sat on the edge of her bed, her ankles hooked together as she watched Lillian rummage through her closet. In her hand she held the little paper swan Holly had no doubt made, and her eyes kept returning to the ornate little creases, as if they held the answer as to where her roommate had gone. Both of the roommates she'd been assigned to since being an Alpha had left – though, she never had figured out who the first one was... just that by the time she was out of the infirmary, the other half of her room was empty.
“I told you.” She stated listlessly, not even quirking an eyebrow. “I never had a need for formal gowns, so there isn't anything in there that's suited to prom... and then someone asked me to spend the evening with him, and avoid prom altogether...” And he'd canceled. Understandable circumstances, yes... but it'd left her vulnerable to Lillian's whims.
“Really Lils, you can go without me; I won't mind. It's not like they're going to let me in wearing jean shorts and a tank top.” Thankfully. Eventually, she'd give up and Aurelie could enjoy a quiet evening. “And it'll take far too long to actually make something of my hair... that we won't get there until it's half over.” More than anything, Aurelie hated to be impolite, so she sat there, hoping that Lillian would let the issue lie. Had the telekinetic wanted to go, she would have... But a night full of dancing just seemed torturous to the former ballerina's heart.
Maybe she should have just told her why... The blond contemplated it, turning over how the conversation would go in her head, and decided against it. The shame of being expelled from Julliard... “Besides, I don't dance at all.” Anymore. In an attempt to keep the somber look from glossing over her eyes, she pointed two thumbs back at her chest she gave off half of a smile. “Raised Amish.” She stated, as if that would explain it all.

Who can you trust in this place? In whom can I put my faith? If you're real then show me now--Who you are... How can I love without grace? Shine a light on your face... If you're real then show me now--Who you are... Code Name: Siren Team: Alpha Location: Frontier University (Three Miles West of the Academy) - Chaperone Ability: Sound Manipulation Singing: Nothing Give me something to sing about... █║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ Isabella felt a slow smile spread across her features at Blake’s teasing remark, the sight mostly hidden because her eyes remained glued to his shoes. She hadn’t meant to voice her fear aloud…But things just kept popping out of her mouth that she wished had stayed in her throat. She shook her head at the sound of her many epithets, causing straightened auburn hair to obscure her face further when he mentioned he was one of a kind. “That you are…”
“Though…”, she trailed off unhurriedly, unseen jade eyes flicking with a hint of mischief. “The Kernel could give you a run for your money.”
KFC references may or may not be lost on the corn fed Southern boy—But Bella was suddenly convinced that she’d spent too much time alone lately watching daytime television…Too many commercials were warping her brain. Her expression vanished into nothingness when she felt his gentle touch to her chin, not entirely aware that he seemed to pick up on her every uncomfortable, unhappy queue. Most people she knew seemed to accept things at face value… Or didn’t think it was their place to ask. The songstress was caught breathless for a moment… Trapped by something that felt like gravity, when blue eyes fully met green…
The phrase was so familiar to her…So close to her memory, that it plucked at her heartstrings expertly…Almost as if she were some kind of instrument that he was skilled at playing. He always knew exactly what to say to put her at ease…Though the statement itself unsettled her—The memory of it relieved her… Only Blake, her Blake, would know that. Neither Mystique, nor any other shape shifting mutant, could possibly recall the exact words... The exact conversations they’d once had.
Soft, seemingly delicate fingers took his hand, her eyes eventually peeling away from his—Landing instead on his chest. They were…almost… safer there. “Maybe…I don’t want anyone to see…”
The conversation changed… And once again she was grateful. Blake was one of her dearest friends…But the things that had happened to the Alpha team in the past few years had taken its toll on her. The things that had happened more recently had left her damaged goods. She wasn’t ready to spill her heart out…Not on something so cliché, as Prom night. Her lips twitched when he mock chastised her for giving him a particular ‘look’…Bella at least had the decency to try and erase it. Though she failed. The edges of her lips kept flicking upwards against her will.
“I’ve no idea what you’re talking about, amigo…”, Isabella countered when he called her on her own part in being chased up a tree. Innocence painted her features, though she chuckled…Getting out of the tree was not as easy as it had been getting up into it. In those days her abilities hadn’t been as developed…Flight was a dream for her, in which case she could manage an occasional hover…But something about looking down gave her the willies. She wasn’t afraid of heights… She was afraid of not being in control while high in the air. Being on the X-Jet still made her stomach twist… “I still say you nearly dropped me on purpose.”
“I can’t remember what he told you…But I remember you made me sing the theme to West Side Story a few times, among other things, before you let me down.”, the songstress pointed out, giving him the evil eye for a moment. Thankfully she’d always been adept at singing, go figure, but blasting ‘I’m pretty, and witty, and gay’ across campus had created some interesting conversations later on.
Especially since there had been a few groups of parents on tour.
Reflexively she stuck her tongue out at him, deeming the very mature response appropriate for his restaurant scam. She’d almost felt bad for a moment there, almost. Though her head tilted at the insinuation that they had time, and she shifted her weight from one foot to the other… “Plenty of time? How much time is that?”
In other words, just how long, was he planning on staying?
“I didn’t say I thought you were attractive—I said that other women do.”, she returned, mistaking his almost cross tone about flattery. She thought he’d finally grown sick of her trying to explain it to him, the thickening of his drawl causing her to back pedal. Thick black eyelashes suddenly fluttered teasingly. “Don’t worry nene*…Men do too.”
‘National Get Lucky Day’, Isabella mouthed back at him, her expression incredulous. That hadn’t happened at her Prom…Though, if it had, the Siren had been a little less than sober…So she wasn’t likely to remember it anyway. She’d not listened to her friend about the punch bowl and had quickly become the ‘life of the party’. Blake’s hands on her shoulders steadied her, and she used the familiar timbre of his voice, familiar heartbeat, to try and block out what she’d heard from the woods…So…Ugh… Her hearing was selective… But also nigh photographic. She could recall most sounds with perfect clarity... On occasion it was useful…
Most of the time it was just a pain in the a**. Especially if the sound was gruesome, or hurtful.
The songstress leaned into him for a moment, letting her head thunk against his chest playfully as she moaned unhappily… “This is what I get for being a paranoid head case.”
She glanced up at the taller man, hiding a smile as he muttered about their ‘lucky’ argument… It would likely never die, since it had carried on so long. She didn’t want to admit that she’d not truly slept in several nights… But instead smirked cheekily, searching for humor, rather than sadness. “Well…Since you’re paying. Be sure to bring plastic. I’m a growing girl, and I need four courses.”
She looked up and to the left a little, her pointer finger coming to cross over her lips—A thoughtful expression on her features. This was of the utmost importance.
“And quite possibly a show… And ice cream later on.”
The Siren nodded her head definitively, appearing quite serious in the matter. That is, until she bit her lower lip for a moment, hiding a petulant smile.
Her smile was washed away completely by the mention of dancing…Everything that made her who she was simply fell away. Such a small thing exposed the broken girl beneath the careful pieces of plaster that held her together. Bella had been able to put on a good face for the majority of the week…She’d even managed to fool Scott, for the most part. The Headmaster knew her better than anyone…He’d been around for her awkward stages…Her daddy-issues…sibling-issues… The loss of her best friend, Evelyn… I-was-genetically-engineered-issues… But she’d even managed to pull the wool over his eyes.
It unnerved her that twenty minutes in Blake’s presence had caused her carefully crafted walls to crumble.
She pulled his tuxedo jacket tighter about her shoulders, suddenly cold, from something that had nothing to do with the temperature… Only to find herself slowly being drawn back out of her shell. Blake was incredibly intuitive… And this wasn’t the first time she was grateful for it. “Discouraging women? I’ve no idea what you’re talking about…Maybe you’ve gone abit batty since last I saw you. Early onset Alzheimer’s?”
She slowed her footsteps slightly so he could catch up—It wouldn’t be hard with his longer legs—A playful, mischievous grin crossing her features. It was warm, showing a glimmer of the girl he’d known years ago. “Revenge? Why, Mr. Tanner… Once again, I’ve no idea what you’re talking about. I’m a responsible chaperone. You really should see a doctor for those recollection issues…”
That was her official response. Unofficial? She was planning on sending everyone in the woods screaming out of it.
It was his comment about settling into his room that tipped her off on the one thing he hadn’t mentioned…She’d just assumed that Emma and Scott would have placed him on the Alpha’s, considering his temperament and their history. They worked well together. But if he’d been an Alpha…She would have gotten the notice in her email… Perhaps he hadn’t been assigned yet? She frowned…That was doubtful.
“Omega.”, she voiced suddenly, accusingly. It was irrational…But it annoyed her that he would be placed on the other team…Narcissa really did get everything she wanted. If she didn’t remember Blake…She’d covet him for his experience and skill eventually.
That was all she said about it. No explanation…Just the one word, with disdain.
Hearing that they were coming closer to their first set of naughty-teenagers her lips parted and a mournful wail escaped her. It was booming, coming from all directions at once…Taking Blake’s arm, she pulled him back with her, behind a tree, so they couldn’t be seen. There wouldn’t be any fun if they were spotted…
“Did you hear that?”, a female voice asked.
“No.”
~Hearts…I eat hearts and left lungs…~, Bella continued, the tone masculine and menacing. She had an array of parlor tricks at her disposal…Things like throwing her voice, creating other sounds, or mimicking someone else. The sound of an axe dragging on the forest floor swelled up, a chopping sound making her female victim scream. It was Wind Dancer...Oh, Bella would never let her live this down. ~Give me your heart!~
Several ghostly noises, and teenage screams later, two prom-goers darted by half dressed, causing Bella to snicker.
“Wimps.”

Name: Raine "Glitter" Burke Team: Alphas Power: Creation and Manipulation of Electricity Location: Library // Dorm Room // Aren's Dorm Room " I don't think it would take that much to make some of the girls around here faint," she joked back with him as they created a fake newspaper article for the AX Gazette. It was one of the things she liked about hanging out with him - they could joke together and understand the humor each one used. Their conversation turned to the differences between men and women, a conversation that caused her to get red in the cheeks once more at the insinuation that she would't make a difference if she were wearing a dress or not in most men's eyes. He followed up by simply stating that it was a fact, not something that she should take too seriously, which caused her to laugh slightly. " Well, glad I could oblige," she said with a nervous grin as he expressed his intention to make her cheeks turn red at every opportunity. No doubt, she was an easier target than a lot of the women he was in normal contact with, but she liked to think that was part of her charm. After all, she was in no way a weak woman, but she thought herself more approachable than some in the Academy. Apparently he thought so to, if he came to her to ask her to prom. Of course, maybe everyone else turned him down, but that was about as likely as she and Cissa having a sleepover and braiding each other's hair. ------------------------- Aren entered the room, restating the little nickname she had given him. His repeating it made her laugh slightly, taking a step forward in a rustle of red fabric. He complimented her on the color choice, the brunette laughing slightly when he mentioned that she normally stuck to shades of blue. Giving a small shrug as she moved over to the mirror to put one finishing coat of lip gloss on, noting his glance never leaving her as if he were trying to figure out whether he approved or not. Thankfully, he did, causing her to smile once more before grabbing the boutonniere to see that it was quite close to the red rose corsage her had for her as well. " Glad you approve," she said with a pleasant grin as he approved her flower choice. His eyes remained on her as she moved forward to pin it on, which was a little harder than it looked. Maybe she was just nervous because she wanted everything to be perfect, but eventually she got it pinned in place, giving a soft apology for taking a bit longer than she thought it should. Stepping back, she felt like his eyes had never left her, causing her to shift a bit where she stood, smoothing a fold in her skirt fabric. " I don't have something in my teeth, do I? You keep…staring." ------------------------- When they stepped into his room, taking in the spread he had prepared for them before they headed out to the dance, she was all smiled, something she felt would be a running theme throughout the evening. She assured him that it was perfect in her eyes, though he seemed a bit hesitant, nodding when he expressed how glad he was that she approved of the whole thing. " I'd never lie about something like that," she said with a chuckle, looking slightly surprised when he mentioned that he did a lot of cooking back at home. It was then that she realized she knew very little about his home life, and now was just the occasion for that to change. And upon assurance that she was not any sort of vegetarian, she realized that once again she'd made his goal of making her blush at every opportunity all the easier when she didn't necessarily watch what she said before she said it. " You never asked," she retorted when he asked why she'd never expressed her love of meat to him before. A grin tugged at the corners of her lips as he served the gumbo, leaning forward to get a deep inhale as she tore a small corner of fry bread off to pop in her mouth. It was absolutely delicious - man, was there anything he couldn't do? " Speaking of things we've never heard before, tell me more about your reservation. Is this fry bread a family recipe, where I need to book a vacation to spend begging for it, or do you think you can just teach it to me?"

Kerrigan Schwartz Codename: Knoxx Team: Omega Location: Dorm Room Current Thoughts: Grand Entrance - Don't Trip! She and Roland exchanged flowers, seeming to fall into the obligatory pre-date chit chat that she was a little nervous about. Kerrigan had never been good at the whole dating thing, but the pressure was off here, considering the fact that they had agreed from the beginning that this was a match of friendship and nothing more. Once the flowers were pinned on, they seemed ready to go, though he stopped her to deliver a quick note for Cissa, on which he scribbled something additional. The redhead lingered by the door with an amused grin as she waited for him, shaking her head slightly. " I forgot what it was like to be in high school, leaving notes for people on their desks. Please tell me it doesn't say 'Do you like me, check yes or no.'" The sarcastic tone in her voice was mirrored by an amused grin, raising an eyebrow as he announced that now they could go. Accepting the arm that was offered to her, she gently lifted the skirt of her dress a few inches to make sure that it didn't drag along the ground as they made their way towards the garage. ------------------------- They arrived at Prom, Kerrigan once again on Roland's arm as they made their way into the decorated area for the dance. Everything was impeccably decorated, not that she had any doubts. Emma was one of those "go big or go home" kind of personalities, and they would spare no expense for an event of this magnitude. When he held the door open for her, she was slightly surprised, laughing slightly when she stepped through with a 'thanks.' That was certainly not something that she was used to, but she had to remember that on a date she needed to act like a lady more than the normal fighter she was. But at the same time, wouldn't that be the reason that he asked her out in the first place, because she was doing something that he liked on some level? These thoughts and more swirled through her head as he lead her to a table, took her coat and laid it gently over the back of her chair before asking if she wanted a drink or to dance. She smiled, moving to push her hair out of her face only to realize that it was up and there was nothing there. This was certainly going well. " Uhh, sure, I guess a drink wouldn't hurt. We're early enough, hopefully it will still be relatively alcohol-free. How's that for a cliche," she said with a chuckle, taking note of the other couples arriving to see if she recognized anyone. " Afterwards, we can hit the dance floor," she called after him as he made his way over to the refreshments to fetch their drinks, giving him a small flutter of her fingers with a smile. It was cute he was trying so hard - she had to make sure to be a nice date for the rest of the night, since he was certainly fulfilling his end of the bargain.

Alpha - Leo's Room || Frontier University - What time is it? Prom time! The tension between Leo and Aurelie was hard to miss, especially for a girl that had a knack for picking up unspoken signals from people. It was a gift and a curse, as illustrated by these kinds of moments, when she felt the need to intervene but at the same time she knew it wasn't her place. Especailly given the situation at hand, where he was technically her date. Still, it wasn't like she was romantically interested - clearly there was more going on between the master of animals and the blonde telekinetic than either one of them was saying outright. Mental note - this could be an interesting cookie jar to stick her hand into when she needed something to do. It would be a win-win-win for everyone: they would get their own desires and she would get to feel like an ultimate matchmaker if she played her cards right. The mention of the chicken dance brought her out of her own thoughts, the brunette smiling and promising pictures despite Leo's adamant reassurances that he was not going to indulge in such an embarrassing spectacle. Clearly, he didn't know her very well, or he would know that if she wanted him to do the dance, she had ways of making it happen. The mere thought brought a mischievous grin to her lips, allowing him his delusions for now. It was a staple at these kinds of events to play those kinds of songs - they were the kind of familiarity that would get everyone going, even those that insisted they would not lower themselves to that level. Aurelie suggested that she would be out there with him, clucking away, which caused her to laugh. " I never miss a chance to show off my chicken dance. It's been refined over years and dating and homecoming dances. Prom seems the natural place to debut the whole thing." Cleatly she was just having a bit of fun with them, though she was certainly the kind of person to enjoy a dance by spending most of it on the dance floor. If he hadn't figured it out by now, then he certainly would when they got to the dance. The conversation then turned to Aurelie's absence from the main event of their high school year, Tara sincere when she wished that the girl would join them. However, it was Leo that seemed most disappointed by the news, further confirming any suspicions she might have had about the two. Thankfully, the blonde was gracious enough to make up some sort of excuse that didn't involve a cutting blow to the boy's self esteem, Tara smiling pleasantly as she checked her phone, giving them a pleasant expression that Tara hoped was genuine and not a mask for disappointing news. The last thing she needed was guilt on her conscience. After deciding that they would hit the dance first, Aurelie wished them a pleasant evening, Tara giving her a smile. " Thanks, you too. I'll bring you those pictures tomorrow," she said with a grin, waving to the girl as they went their separate ways. Leo seemed a little uncomfortable as they moved towards the garage, the brunette not wanting to bring it up for fear that she would touch on a nerve that would ruin the rest of their evening. All she wanted was to have some fun, and orchestrate fun for her friend-date as well. He seemed like he needed it now, more than ever. They could talk about this more complex dynamic later, after they'd had a night of fun, away from the hassles of Academy X life. He was kind enough to open the door for her, helping her out of the car as she made a sarcastic remark about this becoming the night of their lives. He seemed to catch her drift, responding in kind. " I was born ready," she said with a grin, walking with him into the venue and noting the beautiful decorations. They then had to decide which table they were going to sit at, Tara nodding when he picked one back in the corner, currently unoccupied by anyone else. " Good choice. We can see who's spiking the punch from here to know if it's safe or not," she said with a grin, making her way over to the table and setting her clutch down at her desired spot. Draping her wrap over the back of the chair, she tousled the ends of her curls with her fingertips, still grinning. (OOC: Horrid post. My apologies… )

"NOW WHAT'S YOUR NAME!?" "You can be King, but watch the Queen (Omega) conquer" My name is: Michelle Cole "I'm so very Fly oh my, it's a little bit scary Boys wanna marry Looking at my deari- -ere you can stare but if you touch it I'mma bury" (Cat-like Mutation) "Pretty as a Picture" "Sweeter than a Swisher" Michelle's bike drove towards the front gates of the Academy. It was interesting, the school that was. It would probably give her more reasons to stay around than she was intending. She walked around the campus some after she parked the bike near the front. She didn't have to worry about anyone stealing it. She had a nice remedy on the bike for that. Michelle arrived at the school a day before, much to her dismay, but she was told to have fun. Her fun was another thing she coined under interesting. Interesting. That was quite the fascinating word. She loved saying the word until it didn't sound like it's original sound. She hummed lightly while skipping down the hallway like some little playful girl right until her ears twitched. She heard a ruckus. She chuckled some as that was another interesting word. Like some animal on the prowl for its prey, Michelle power walked down the hall, her heels clicking down the hall. It seemed that sound and speed were competing if anyone was paying attention. She walked outside and looked around for a tree. Once she found one, she climbed up it like a cat. Tree's were a favorite of hers for two reasons: Some produced fruit and Jaguars dragged their prey up in trees to feast.
To get back to what had interested her, she watched the drama take place on the rooftops. If she could compare it to something, she would compare it to Beauty and the Beast with some altercations of course. She readied the camera on her phone and aimed it at them. She had quite the front row seat. In this tale, she had the lovely Belle (Kali) and the monstrous Beast (Varitas). To her liking, Belle was trying to bring out the animal in Beast instead of trying to say he is humane. She was even changing her appearance to the leader of the Alphas. She was definitely intrigued now. After watching the drama back and forth, she smiled when he was close to driving her off the roof. With much tenacity, she brought her hands together as if to clap, but that would be poor directing. Instead, she lit a cigarette and continued to watch. Preferably, she didn't like the little annoying wench. She went around posing as some cat for starters. Michelle arrived yesterday in a stealth-like fashion. She was in and out. Her pulling in the gates with her bike was what they would call a dramatic entrance, but she had to get to the case at hand. There was only one female feline here and that was Michelle. If she saw the girl masquerading as another cat, be it big or small, she's read enough books on how to take out animals. In the end, they fell down dead like everything else. She had enough watching for the moment, savoring the scent of both mutants. One to keep and one to take. She had a ball to attend and maybe have some "fun" while she was at it. A chuckle escaped her lips as she landed down on the ground on all fours. If they heard it, she could care less. She had to go get ready and the getup she was in didn't have "Prom" written all over it. Neither did her hair. She had a lot of things to do in so little time. Maybe she would make a late entrance to the prom. No one saw her as of yet, so she had the element of surprise. "Mad cause I'm cuter than the girl that's with you I don't have to talk about cause I know that I'm pretty But if you want, I'll be happy to repeat it" "NOW WHERE YOU AT!? Time Skip "If you're looking for me, you can catch me sad Academy X: Tree// Frontier University: Rooftops.) Hotspot, camera's flashing Daddy turned his head just as soon as I passed him Girls think I'm conceited cause I know I'm attractive Don't worry about what I think, Why don't you ask him!?" Michelle smiled as she stood on the rooftops of Frontier University in a nice black dress. She wore black for several reasons, but she had to pick a few. It matched her hair color now and she would be bad luck to anyone who ticked her off. She reached in her purse and pulled out a 9mm pistol. Not her favorite, but she enjoyed pistol whipping people now and then. She wasn't quite good at it just yet, but for the men, she would love to shoot them in their Adam's Apple. The women, she would give a solitary standoff. A bullet right between the eyes. She placed the pistol on the holster under the left side of her dress. Instant access. She pulled out miniature bottles of liquor as well. It was boring when the punch bowl was just plain wasn't it. She could have the party liven up in quite a few. It was quite easy getting the liquor as well. It involved a tight black leather catsuit that hugged her skin and showed some of her package, seven inch heels, a cat mask that covered her entire head, a whip, and an altercation of her eyes and facial features thanks to her mutation. Couldn't you imagine that? Her in some store pulling off a feat Michelle Pfeiffer did ages ago in a film? She smiled at the thought as instead, she called a few people up in Bed-Stuy and got quite the deal. She didn't like it, but her previous life had its advantages when she got to see some of the world.
She would wait on the rooftop until the moon rose and things were getting quite festive. She examined her black long razor-sharp fingernails. The paint gave off a brilliant hue when it was dry. She acquired it from an assassin dealer in Egypt during her travels as both controlled and when she was on the hunt for her oppressor. It was venom from a Black Mamba. She didn't like the idea that they probably killed the poor beautiful creature since they do whatever it took to get away from humans, so she thought they only captured one and used one of those containers to acquire the venom. She had a nail polish made for her when she was sent to assassinate someone and with her long cat nails in her state, her nails looked stunning. Lastly was her black lipstick. She could tell you that it was venomous, which it was, but not in the way most would think. This venom came from the Brazilian Wandering Spider. Enough could kill someone, but a little could stimulate them. A kiss from her and she could cure erectile dysfunction. More than several kisses and they could fall dead without the antidote. From the way it sounded, one would think she was the ultimate assassin, but in actuality, she was still learning. Her flaws would show when she was in combat for sure. For now, it was a night a fun and she was planning to make it a night for mostly everyone to remember.
"All Eyes on me when I walk in No question that this girl's a ten Don't Hate Me Cause I'm Beautiful Don't Hate Me Cause I'm Beautiful My Walk, My Talk, The Way I dress It's not my fault, so please don't trip[ Don't Hate Me Cause I'm Beautiful Don't Hate Me Cause I'm Beautiful (( Sorry if the post is crappy or it may confuse everyone. The Playboy had a small grin on his face playfully shrugged his shoulders when she asked him if he was for real about his Plan B. It was fun to make it appear as if that option was in the air just in case. "Vindictive huh? I may have to put it to the test someday...again." Dimitri may have been the hottest memeber on the alpha's team, but he was aware of women and their desire for revenge. Dimitri wasn't a complete a*****e however; most women that he sparked revenge in, they more than likely deserved it. From Daylia's response she seemed to be 50/50 on dancing with him. Part of her seemed like she didn't break in yet; being comfortable at the prom event. While another part of her was okay with it, warning the playboy that his fresh kicks may be in danger if they participated in this endeavor. He had an extra big toe along with a few smaller ones so he wasn't that worried. Dimitri however felt like he should have let Daylia know about his warning as well. "Not at all, so as long as you don't get mad if I step on yours."
After he gave her the warning about her feet in the custom bear traps she called heels, he took her hand sofly and slowly took her to the dance floor. "As for your Omega friend, I have to give him props just for stepping foot in her room even though they're on the same team. So how did you end up surviving?" he wondered, since she mentioned that she was also in her room when it went down. When the reached the floor the Playboy placed his hands on her slim waist and began to enjoy their slow dance. Moments when they began to dance she asked him why he came to prom in the first place? He recalled being in the game room hours before where he got the text about prom from a lady friend of his. "I figured it would be fun to go out and have some fun. It wouldn't have hurt to gone. To be honest though I didn't even know there was a prom till the last minute. I just had a lot on my mind." Since he heard news about his sister he disregarded almost everything non-important and focused on how he could get one step closer. It was only after he found a piece where he once again, received a text message about it." The chameleon's next question was more blunt and direct, similar to Dimitri's question to Roland about the date shortly after the mall incident. Whatever Roland felt after Dimitri asked if he was "trying get laid", he felt that when she asked if he was planning on getting lucky tonight.
AKA if he had plans to smash tonight, have sex, bring her walls down and afterwards smoke a pound(Maybe not the smoking part). Dimitri gave a short laugh before answering her question with a stone-faced expression.
"Yes..."
He let his answer sit, waiting for the slightest reaction from Daylia before Dimitri finished answering the question with a touch of humor on it. "I figured I would get lucky at some texas hold em if they have it here, see how far i can get with weak hands till i end up getting a couple hundred or maybe thousand dollars from that. Maybe I'll get that lunch from Tara." The playboy still didn't forget about how they were getting started with their game and how they didn't finish because of their mission shortly afterwards."We were playing poker, loser buys the winner lunch and i was beating her a**. Don't tell her that though she'll probably deny it and just before I was going to win, we had to go to the mall and..yeah." he finished, feeling like he didn't have to explain into detail on what went down at the mall. And speaking of Tara, he saw her arrive with someone that suprised him-Rossi; along with other people such as the paladin that was Roland. His roomate manage to snag Tara!? Or maybe it was the opposite? As everyone else that arrived here, the two of them were looking good. On a serious note he didn't think he was going to end the night with him between her legs. It would have been unexpected if anything.
"What about you Daylia? You didn't seem to have prom on your schedule either Why did you decide to go with little ol me?" he said with that deprecation humor tone. "And were you planning on getting lucky tonight?" he asked, narrowing his eyes towards her jokingly.

"There is a war coming, are you sure you're on the right side?" Name: Brown, Farren Brown but you may call me Mother Nature
Location: Hall, watching the frills and lace vacate the building. Snarky Remark: "Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one." ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╛ "Mmm, you certainly know the way to this girl's heart, Orchid. Keep talking about drinks and dancing then we'll just have to call Prom a wash for you and hole ourselves in the Danger Room or somewhere just as exciting with a few bottles, strobe lights, and glow sticks. Yeah, this sounds like a weekend excursion next time most of the professors are out on an emergency mission or something of the like. And to think I used to be such a sweet and nice girl. Ha ha." Farren laughed after hearing herself suggest such an activity. Certainly a turnabout to the good ole days. She mentally ran a list of who came across as being open-minded enough to handle the kind of edgy bash the two roommates had the potential of throwing.
"I think there's some stashed in the art room supply closet, not to mention our own, but you may have to assist in the search for it." Farren winked seductively at the other woman, a wicked smile dancing across her lips at the same time. The current, although completely incorrect gossip (as gossip usually is), had put the floramancer in the light that she was indeed in the closet, and that Orchid was coaxing her out, much to the pleasure of nearly every guy in the Institute over sixteen. After sharing a good hard laugh over this positively ludicrous tale, the two roommates had decided to play it up, and keep the mansion on its toes in regards to the truth. Teenagers would so easy to manipulate, even mutant ones. Farren pondered the twin notion for a moment with fingers mock stroking on her chin before shaking her head. "I do believe you're onto something, my dear, but the gig would be up when we had our Danger Room sessions, since you can't control the hair of others. Which would be awesome, by the way, but completely off base with the twin-ness stunt. Farren was then struck with the image of some serious wardrobe malfunctions right the midst of the announcement of the king/queen/&court and she clutched her stomach as the laughter overtook her body. Only Orchid managed to get the floramancer to sincerely smile (as opposed to the "I'm smiling because the visions of your torture by my hands will be oh-so sweet") much less laugh so freely and Farren was grateful for every bit of it.
"I appreciate the offer, chica, cause I'd hate for you to miss the last shuttle and not have the opportunity to show off your stunning masterpiece and allow the masses as you said, 'to ogle you as you walk in wearing that beauty.' " Farren glanced down at her floor map, reminding her of the next set of steps, before folding it back up and dropping it down her boot. She turned to continue down the hall, but kept her body angled towards Orchid's own in a way to further express the hair manipulator was welcomed to come along as she had offered to do.
"I check the sheet of advisers that were stuck chaperoning tonight's fun, and Forge didn't make the cut; luckily for both him and me. I figure he's either in the computer lab or his own personal office of nerd heaven. The lab is closer so we can check it out first and see if he turns up. Otherwise we'll be headed to the sub-basement." Farren glanced as her watch, noting the time. Although her roommate had extended herself as company in the floramancer's quest for answers, the green-haired woman wasn't about to let it ruin Orchid's special night. Prom came but twice a lifetime (or more if your school tended to blow up on multiple occasion throughout the year), and Farren wasn't going to take that away from her friend over something that could, realistically, wait until the next day, after the formal was over and nothing more than a vague memory and a monstrous hangover. "At least I've chosen a side." Academy X: Our professors are just a bunch of mules.

Chameleon
Daylia Astralloxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Team Omegaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Location: Prom...xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Daylia’s brow lifted slightly with Dimitri’s words. "Again? You make it sound like you get off on making a woman mad." She was teasing of course, or at least half teasing. Some men did stupid things to get their rocks off. She had known quite a few couples that would make the other made just so they could make up. Talk about serious dysfunction. Someone had to be pretty messed up to want their significant other to yell at them. She did her best to wipe those thoughts from her mind as he went on, mentioning that he might step on her toes as well. "No worried there, it would take a lot more than that to break me." Or so she had hoped.
Daylia shrugged at the next question. "It was a ballsy movie. I guess just decided against putting on a light show. Good thing too, I was in the direct line of fire." Daylia let out a soft sigh, trying to make it not so obvious as he placed his hand on her waist. It was awkward to say the least, at least for her. For a moment she was unsure of what to with her own hands and settled for placing somewhere on his shoulders. She was trying to force herself to relax, but it wasn’t working right away.
"Well, that’s about as good a reason as any." Daylia said softly. This situation felt slightly too intimate for her, them being so close together. She had been intimate situations before, so why this one seemed so awkward was beyond her. Maybe it was the fact that they didn’t know each other well, or maybe it was his reputation around the academy. Though with his answer to her question her brow rose again, her body nearly preparing to knee him. She relaxed slightly as he went on. At least according to his words she was not something he was looking to conquer tonight.
"Poker." Daylia said with a small laugh. Dimitri could come up with some of the most off the wall things to respond with. "Sounds like fun. I’ve never played before." She shrugged again. "I’m sure she’d give you a rematch in light of the situation." She didn’t know much about Tara, but why wouldn’t she? It seemed like a friendly game, after all he didn’t put strip in front of it.
The conversation seemed to relax the Chameleon more, which was a good thing in her book. She tilted her head slightly as he turned the question around on her. "Because you asked." She said simply. "And you seem like a nice guy most of the time. And I wasn’t expecting anyone to ask me." Though with the next spin of his question she laughed. "Oh please, I did not set aside prom to be some ‘special’ night." She said making air quotes behind his head. She had no expectations for her first time, and had gotten that out of the way a year or so ago. She gave another shrug with her next statement. "If I wanted to get lucky, it damn sure wouldn’t have to be at prom." Perhaps that was more information than what was needed, but it wasn’t like she was some big tramp or anything. After all she mostly wore sweats around the school when she could.
Daylia’s eyes went to her feet for a moment. "Well, so far so good." She said jokingly. They had yet to step on each other. Her head came back up, allowing her to look around the room again. More people had gotten there, no one she cared to talk with yet, but then again, most of the time she kept to herself anyway. ""

Funny guy, this one._________________ƬΣΔΜ ΔLƤHΔ_________________ Reggie chuckled lightly and shook her head at Eli's question, "Oh, I'm not going expecting something else." She paused for a moment to collect her thoughts, then said, "I'm going expecting to change something. I expect it to be like any other high school dance, really. But I'm not going to the event for the event, exactly. It's much more fun that way." That phrase made sense in her head, and she wasn't sure if it would make sense to Elliot. Not because he couldn't comprehend, no Reggie thought he was very intelligent, but it was because Reggie thought strangely sometimes, and often those thoughts would come out of her mouth in the way they had been stated in her head. Which wasn't always in a clear way. The black haired girl watched Eli open his soda, smirking at the casual use of his power. She wished that she could do something like that, but she was cursed to a very inconvenient mutation. There was no such thing as a casual use of her power. It was either helping, or hindering. And it did too much hindering for her taste. Reggie's smile softened a little as Eli admitted his insecurities to her. That took a measure of courage, she knew, and she respected that. With a flick of her hand she said in a sincere, kind voice, "Oh, no need to push yourself too hard for me. I'm cool with the tremble. It adds character." She grinned at him, "So don't be nervous around me. I promise I don't bite." She paused and thought about his next statement, nodding, "Yeah, I get that entirely. I hate being in large crowds, especially inside. It's suffocating. But I think it's mostly because I'm afraid of my powers going haywire." She tapped her finger against her lip in thought, "Although I am going to this dance. I guess I'm not so worried because I have a set goal in mind." She chuckled at that, shaking her head, "Funny how mischief can calm a person down."When he finally made eye contact with her, Reggie's smile softened a little again, glad to see that she was at least making him a little less uncomfortable. Or at least that's what she thought. His question made her laugh, a deep sultry sound that complimented her natural husk of a voice as she replied, "Safe to assume that, yes. Aʆєxaηdra Ӎaʀiʆèηє AgηèȿCodename:Flairer My hearts longs for the ability to satisfy my curiosity. ❃❂❁❀✿✾✽✼✻✺✹✸✷ ✶✵✴❄❅❆❇❈❉❊❋❖❤❥❦❧ ☀ She smiled a little at the pleasant reply. Her nerves felt themselves relax at the realization that Aurelie had not been offended by her interruption. Though, the sensory adaptor hoped that her assumption had not offended her. Everyone around here seemed so obsessed with prom this past week and probably last week too. Thus, Alex had felt that maybe people around here took the dance like a meeting required by the teams. They had to be there. However, instead of the boredom of the meetings, they would be having fun and enjoying themselves. For that reason, Alex had not expected to find someone still lingering here. But, the moment Aurelie mentioned not being offended, her smile grew a little, the muffled giggle easing her nerves a little. Boy did she feel silly though.
“That is good. Though, now I am left feeling silly for assuming such a thing.” A light giggle left her own lips to emphasize the fact she did not feel bad. She just felt like any other person would when caught doing a silly thing like she had done. Silly and embarrassed. “And I shall willingly blame the hype most had for prom for making me assume such an idea.” The naïve person had yet to have someone tell her what assuming could do a person. But, that was likely a good thing considering Alex would feel too uncomfortable to assume ever again. However, the one good thing about assumptions is that it made life easier a times. Just, not in this case. The sensory adaptor let the whole error in judgment slide though as Aurelie mentioned what had caused her to not want to go.
A hang out date? There were different types of dates? She guessed that made sense considering there was the idea of going on a date as just friends. Something Alex had heard some of the people that were going to the prom were doing. Though, the sensory adaptor couldn’t help but wonder what would be the difference between hanging out and a hang-out date. Wouldn’t it be the same thing considering both involved the action of spending time with someone? While the urge to ask bubbled inside of her, the French girl hated looking dumb just because of her up-bringing and naturally reclusive tendencies. Besides, not like Alex ever expected herself to be involved in such things. For that reason, she was easily able to repress the curiosity as she nodded slightly to Aurelie. “I see. Everyone does have their personal preferences.”
She had no reason to ask any more about why they weren’t keen on dancing. It was like how some weren’t keen on poetry. Sometimes it just came down to personal preferences and there wasn’t any other reason. Thus, Alex did not feel hard pressed to ask anymore as Aurelie explained why she was not with the person she was going on a hang out date with. The other blonde didn’t seem too bothered by it. Guess a hang out date really was just spending time with a friend, but just with an extra word on the end. “Oh. Well, I hope he is able to finish them soon then so you two can hang out.” Alex wasn’t sure who she would be hanging out with at prom. She knew she would only draw possibly unwanted attention if she just stood around all alone. Maybe Dmitri or Hoshi would let her tag along with them? Now the sensory adaptor had wished she had asked that before the day of prom!
Her mind chose not to worry about it though. After all, it was a little too late to be concerning herself over looking like the odd-ball in the group of people! However, she did choose to worry over disturbing Aurelie. After all, the telekinetic had been reading a book. What book, the sensory adaptor could not tell since her vision was not enhanced at that moment. If Alex wasn’t doing a fulilling of curiosity deal before leaving for prom, the sensory adaptor might have allowed herself to indulge in talking over the book. After all, it might have been one she had read, or one she had wanted to read. Maybe even one she hadn’t heard of and should read at some point in time. Though, her thoughts were drawn away from such a possibility when she found her nerves slowly starting to un-tense completely, allowing her to be completely relaxed.
“That doesn’t sound like a bad idea. I would do the same thing with my flute if I was in your shoes.” She could only hope she used that phrase correctly. What Alex hadn’t realized though was that Aurelie did not like to be the center attention. What Aurelie did not realize was that Alex had mixed feelings towards the idea of being the center of one’s attention. It was nice when acting out one of those scenes from those childish little plays she had written for kicks. It was nice when being complimented on one’s poetry by one’s mother, or getting an award. However, to say she found the telekinetic’s look of appraisal to be a bit unnerving would be the truth. After all, the sensory adaptor couldn’t help but wonder if that meant there was something on her face, or if the colors did not match in some way she had not noticed. She would be lying if she said she never cared about her appearance.
Thus, a part of her felt relieved by the compliment. Unfortunately, her cheeks also warmed at the comment, causing the alabaster skin to get a slightly pink tint to it. “I do not think I shall be stopping any hearts. But, the idea of doing so does sound appealing.” Well, not literally, but Alex had enough sense to know Aurelie likely did not mean that in the literal sense. Her cheeks warmed a bit more when the telekinetic mentioned how guys would want to dance with her. She didn’t think that was going to happen. However, dancing with anyone did sound nice, even though she wouldn’t call herself an expert at it. Maybe good enough to not have to worry about stepping on a person’s toe. Though, that was just based on her randomly dancing with servants when she was younger.
“If that is what happens, may my lucky stars be shining upon me. For I would not want the night ruined by me stepping on a person’s toe.” Before the conversation could go much further though, a familiar voice sounded. Luckily, Alex wasn’t a jumpy person. If she was, the sensory adaptor might have found herself few feet in the air. Instead, her hand placed itself over her chest as she noticed it was Lillian. “Oh um, it is alright. We were just talking is all.” She was not going to mention that the sudden fast beating of her heart was not welcome. After all, it was her fault for not being as aware as she should have been. Thus, all the sensory adaptor did for the next few moments was watch as the two talk. By the way Aurelie was looking, Alex had a feeling that Lillian had something in mind Aurelie didn’t want.
Before Alex could figure out what that was, or try to save the telekinetic from her roommate, Lillian had revealed what it was. However, that was when Alex remembered what Aurelie had told her earlier. Even though her attempt at saving the telekinetic from being dragged to prom was not going to work, she had at least had to try. “Um, I do not think she wants…” However, Lillian seemed quite persistent on Aurelie going to the dance. Due to this, she felt like her words feel on deaf ears as her roommate’s hand looped a finger through Aurelie’s belt loop. It was all over then. For while she suddenly felt awkward, like someone stuck between a wall and a hard place, she knew there was really nothing she could do now. Her roommate was determined to get the telekinetic to the dance. A harmless desire, but one that seemed to make Aurelie a bit uncomfortable.
“It is alright. I do not mind you stealing her…” That phrase had always sounded strange to her. Stealing someone. How could someone steal another? Wouldn’t that be kidnapping and not stealing? However, whenever she had seen others use the phrase, it seemed harmless in nature. It seemed more like a funny way to say ‘I am taking blank person with me’. Unfortunately, the sensory adaptor felt that might be another thing she would never fully understand. “But oh? You did?” Why did people keep using phrases that she did understand? Conning someone was a bad thing! But, conning people to go to prom together? That didn’t sound bad at all! Though, that little bit of information did make Lillian’s determination have a bit more sense now. Not that it didn’t before, but now at least Alex could see why Lillian was so strong-willed about Aurelie going.
Attention was drawn back to the sensory adaptor though when Lillian pointed out her outfit. A light nervous giggle left her lips as she thought she heard footsteps coming towards them. She wasn’t completely sure on that considering she was no Bella, someone that could easily differentiate one sound from another. Maybe with more training she could something similar with her enhanced hearing. But for now, the sensory adaptor had a lot of training to do before that happened. Thus, Alex had no idea there was people coming towards them. Two in fact, as she smiled a little at her roommate. “I am going yes, and I hope to see you there.” Her blue green eyes looked towards Aurelie as she was being dragged off. “And I hope that things go well for you.” Whether that meant Aurelie coming to prom, or her getting to go on that hang out date, that would be up to the telekinetic.
For now, she gave a light wave as she was about to leave herself to head to prom. However, since her attention had been on Aurelie and Lillian, Alex hadn’t noticed the black haired girl(Vee) coming into the room. Thus, when blue green eyes met similar looking eyes, she found herself gripping her dress in shock, biting her lip to hold back a cry of surprise. “I am so sorry! I did not see you there!” The sensory adaptor wasn’t sure the black haired girl(Vee) had heard her apology as she noticed her walking over to the music strands. Eyes blinked as she wondered if maybe the girl wanted to play something. If that was the case, maybe Alex was unwanted company? Before Alex could ask though, she heard a voice nearby. Oh why was this night turning into trying to scare her out of her wits night?
She couldn’t blame anyone but herself though as she looked at the male(Anthony). He, like the black haired girl(Vee), didn’t seem dressed up like her and Lillian were. Maybe they had been planning to stay like Aurelie did? At least that meant Aurelie wouldn’t be alone if she was able to wiggle her way out of her roommate’s grasp. Though, why did she have a feeling that would be quite impossible? “Yes. I am planning on going just to see what it is all about.” Well, and the fact she was curious about this dance Dimitri kept mentioning. However, for the most part, her going was just satisfying her curiosity. After all, not every day she found herself having an opportunity to go to a dance, let alone one everyone seemed so into! It was that obsession with it that made her want to find out just what made prom so special.
When the male(Anthony) gave her a good luck kind of deal, her lips tugged into a polite smile. “And I hope you have fun doing whatever it is you plan to do tonight.” Before more could be said, or she could leave the room, she thought she heard the sound of papers being flown everywhere. Her head turned to notice sheet music on the floor and the black haired girl(Vee) picking them up. Oh how she knew how dreadful that was. Having sheet music flying everywhere was never a pleasant experience, especially having it happen while playing a song. Thus, she couldn’t help but want to help the possible fellow musician with her issue. “Do you need help with that?” The sensory adaptor had no reason to view the girl as clumsy or anything bad. Everyone had their moments after all. Besides, it was only respectful and kind to help a fellow musician in need, no matter the circumstances. ❃❂❁❀✿✾✽✼✻✺✹✸✷ ✶✵✴❄❅❆❇❈❉❊❋❖❤❥❦❧ ☀ "We will drink our fill of Alpha Then, of golden sunshine that spills into Music room Till our brains intertwine with Aurelie and Lillian briefly, with two other people remaining(Vee and Anthony)"

Omega, Location: Prom Drink and a Dance Kerri replied that she wanted a drink, and perhaps to dance later. He heard her remark that the punch may not have been spiked, however a cliché that may sound. Roland had to smirk to himself as he made his way over to the drinks. The idea of spiking the punch bowl was a common thing he’d heard about in teen comedy films, never actually occurring in real life. Making his way to the crystal bowl, which was really crystal by the way, he took a sniff of the punch to make sure that it was not in fact spiked. Currently his olfactory glands did not in fact pick up any form of alcohol in the punch, but he could be mistaken. For something like this, one would suspect that vodka would be the culprit to spike the punch, or even the disastrous demon in a bottle known as Everclear. Of the two, Everclear was the silent but deadly super-strong alcohol that would have anyone on their a** after a shot or two. Roland remembered the smell of Dominic’s breath when he would chug bottles of that mixed with other liquors in what he would call his “Death Juice”. There had been repeated attempts by him to make Roland drink it, it took three broken fingers to make sure he never did that again when he was 12. Gently grabbing the ladle, he poured out two drinks. And with equal care, he made his way back to his waiting date. Offering her the drink he raised his glass up in the air, the light dancing along the clear glass in the red liquid. “To a good night, in the company of a lovely woman.” he said, offering his glass in a toast to the festivities of the night. In the light of the dance floor he had to admit in his mind that she looked lovely. It was something he couldn’t help to think to himself. Taking the Warrior Queen of the Omega team to a dance, he almost chuckled to himself at the realization. “I do have to admit, it’s a nice change to see us wearing suits and dresses instead of combat gear. And you look like something you’d see walking down a runway. People may be shocked when you proceed to throw them down to the floor.” he remarked. Tying in a pleasant thought of the night with a compliment towards her eased some tension within Roland as his eyes gave off a warm glow of pleasure for the company he was with. If not for his own issues, or her roommate, he probably would have considered taking her on a date later on after this was all said and done. “Whenever you’re ready, we can head to the dance floor.”

The Omegas: Prom |823|"Are you lost in your lies? Do you tell yourself, 'I don't realize.' Your crusade's a disguise. Replaced freedom with fear, You trade money for lives. I'm aware of what you've done." ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Looking around the room and taking note of all the people present along with the new arrivals Felix remained rather silent. The smell of food entered his nostrils and he quickly realized that not eating beforehand had been a bad idea. It wouldn't be a terribly long time before he needed to get something to eat or his stomach would begin growling. For the moment however he could wait. His gaze lowered to the lady dancing with him for a few moments as she smoothed down his collar still not bothering to comment. The blonde's scowl at his mention of girls saving their virginity for prom night was not lost on him. Clearly she thought it an idiotic ritual of sorts. It wasn't long after that she voiced her thoughts on it. Her words eliciting a chuckle from him. "No doubt. Still I don't see that changing anytime soon. Teenage hormones certainly don't help. Not to mention some girls feel it is a necessary thing or they are a bad date." A shrug followed his statement.
The little ritual was outdated to be sure. Felix doubted very much that things would change anytime soon however. Guys were still guys and gals were still gals after all. Being in such close proximity to Narcissa, Felix could plainly see how she seemed to glow. It was probably quite a bit more attractive from a distance however. The blond laughed darkly as he mentioned thinking things through and Felix wasn't quite sure how to react. When he finished completely she continued. Listening carefully he smiled slightly as she mentioned being more miffed he did it to prove a point then simply because he wanted to. Letting her finish her thought about not liking being used Felix nodded in understanding pleased she didn't move to backhand him like she wanted. "Oh I do not deny that I wanted to simply because. That I desired it. You are a very beautiful woman Narcissa Lucania. Beyond beautiful really. It just wasn't the only reason. Though it certainly helped push me in your direction." Not to mention he wanted to show everyone else that he refused to be afraid of the blond simply because of rumor. She was still a woman and he still a man so therefore there should have been no harm in sharing a single kiss. Granted he could have went about it so much better.
The silence that followed let him concentrate on the art of the dance. Again he was not bothered by the silence as they moved with ease. He was leading as was expected of the man when dancing and Narcissa seemed okay with that for the time being. The chuckle that broke the silence causing him to look down at her again curiously wondering what she found to be so amusing. Listening to her Felix did his best to keep from sighing. It was to be expected however he would not be kissing the blond anytime soon without some kind of invitation to do so. He had learned his lesson well enough the first time and could keep that particular impulse in check without a problem. Whether she was being completely serious or not was left to his imagination. Which naturally went to the worst place first. "Fear not I will not be trying it again anytime some if only to keep said spikes out of my groan. Besides I have plenty of other ways to stroke my ego." Hopefully she caught the joking tone the last statement was delivered in.
A quick sweeping look around the room was completed before Narcissa spoke up again. As she spoke Felix found himself agreeing with her for the most part. "I must admit it did cross my mind for a second that we could be used for bait quite easily like this. It's certainly something I would consider were I in their place. This is like the perfect bait to lead out an enemy and defeat them. Still it is to be remembered that they do not do those kinds of things. We are supposed to be the good guys in a sea of bad guys after all. Why should we consider beating them at their own game." The last couple of statements were laced with sarcasm as he clearly disagreed. Sometimes bad things had to be done to ensure the greater good. Sometimes doing bad things for a good reason should be enough. Killing someone and stopping them from causing future pain should have been just fine. The x-men didn't do those things however. It was foolish to think otherwise.
Letting a small bout of silence follow Felix decided to break the silence this time. "So if you don't mind me asking. What made you decide to say yes to my invitation to prom after the unwanted kiss?" It was something Felix had been curious about since she agreed to go with him.
(OOC: I apologize profusely for how long this took. I forgot it was my turn. >.<)

xxxxxTeam: OmegaxxxxxLocation: Frontier Universityxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂xxxxxx A pang of guilt rushed through him as he watched her stare at his feet... Maybe he shouldn't have left the campus.... but even as he thought it, the cowboy doubted his presence would have made that much of a difference. Cutting through what should have been awkward when Bella was at a loss for words, he beamed when she admitted that he was one of a kind. “Doll, you're always so agreeable when stroking my ego.” He knew that for some reason she was questioning whether or not it was truly him, though just why he wasn't informed... Certainly he'd find out later.
She seemed to bounce back from her doubt as she mentioned the Colonel from KFC being better. Rolling his eyes to dismiss the possibility, he waved it off with a smooth motion of his hand. “One... That guy has a million pictures on the side of paper tubs, not very original... Two. Fried chicken didn't start in Kentucky. Three, I'm from Texas, doll... It's a long hike to Hickville.” He stated matter-of-factly, though he enjoyed the cracks she laid on him... it made her seem more like her old self.
“And four... I have a lot of money, I don't think it'd be kind to watch him try and out-race my supply.” There it was. A big cheesy grin smeared all over his features.
The songstress hid her face, and with the gentlest of touches, he had lifted her chin, uttering to her something she had to have heard at least a dozen times from him before they'd gone their separate ways. Blue eyes clashed with her green, and the sincerity of his words rang clearly like a newly made bell. It was some time that they stared at each other, eyes dazzling with the light of the stars, as each told each other a story of how their lives had been in the past few years. Bella's looked tired, worn with the weight of her position. His were older since she'd seen them last, but not in the way that time ages them... Experience seemed to make them wiser.
She was the first to peel her gaze away, and a slight quirk of his lips conveyed his satisfaction. For now at least, she'd believe he was real. Her hand took his own, and wondered if in the past it'd been as intimate as it felt now. Forcing himself to bite back any sort of reaction to it, (such as pulling her closer), Blake peered down at her, a frown taking possession of his face when she said she didn't want anyone to see her.
Rather than keeping the conversation heavy, he clicked his tongue against his teeth, shaking his head with the gesture. “Too bad.” He started, chuckling to help lift her spirits. “I've seen it all before, and I'll see it all again... unless you've developed invisibility since I saw you last. Though, you might want to get the spinach off of your front tooth...” He said, eyes immediately rising to the sky as he teased her.
The conversation changed… And with it, Bella brightened. He accused her of giving off a certain look, and she feigned her innocence in her typical, doll-like fashion. “Uh huh.” The molecular manipulator mock agreed, folding his arms over his chest when she said she didn't have any clue as to what he was referring to. She had thrown a water balloon at him... Looking back, it must have looked a lot different to people who weren't he and Bella... As though they had crushes on each other.
Which had been a subject they hadn't ever discussed, and he wasn't going to now, what with her being with Gideon for so long. “I didn't almost drop you... ” He sighed remembering that day clear as a sunny sky now. It had been on purpose, just to get a squeal out of her. “It was planned.” He admitted for the first time. When it had happened, he'd actually tried to make her believe it'd been an accident. “Molecular manipulators can make it really easy not to drop something.”
His classic lopsided grin marked his features as she recalled too, that he'd made her sing, had made her admit that he was the king of the institute... The then Excelsior leader had treed her effectively for quite a time. And the conversations that followed her around for a few days had been worth every second.
Her tongue came out after she realized that he'd only been joking about sitting and waiting for her alone in a restaurant and he chuckled. “You should have known that I would have just come and stuck to you if I'd truly planned on having you around for an evening.” There were advantages of his mutation... though she would have exclaimed he was kidnapping her. “I'm mentoring a few students on campus... taking a more relaxed role with recruitment.” He stated, giving her a notion of just how long he'd be sticking around.
“Uh huh.” Blake murmured at her clarification. “One day you'll admit it.” He teased, not ever thinking she would; it wouldn't be good of her while she had a sweetheart somewhere around here. And he wasn't going to try and break them off... “Nene?” The word was enough he wanted to bury part of his face into his palm. “You're not going to start that again are you?” He asked in mock exasperation. “And no trying to hook me up with guys anymore.” Maybe they should make some ground rules to stick to if he was going to hang around. “Pardon my saying, but I prefer indoor plumbing.”
”Yeah... why else do you think most of the typical guys around here would put up with the formalities?” Most men wouldn't; that was a fact that she should have seen on her own. Her head came into his chest, and he caught the scent of her hair in an instant. Had she always smelled like that? He couldn't remember. But as Bella started moaning, he wrapped his arms around her, a laugh coming from the deeper parts of his chest. “You are a far cry from being a headcase Bells.” He stated honestly. No matter what the problems were that she was having, he'd do his best to try and fix them, if only to see her happiness bubble through her again.
His grip tightened and he rose an eyebrow, though the latter was lost on the dark haired woman. “But we can pop this off and replace it if you'd like.” Immediately after he loosened so that she could squirm away if she so desired, what with his jibe already said there wasn't a need to keep her captive any more. What he didn't mention is that he'd miss the head she already had.. And she'd not get him to admit it for the world.
“Four courses, huh?” His teeth nearly sparkled behind his smile. ” You drive a hard bargain, but I think I could go for that.” If only because it'd be a long night, where they could spend catching up, and he could try and chase the ghosts from her conscience. “Ice cream and a movie included in the package.”
Had he known what mentioning dancing would have done to her, Blake would have skipped it entirely. But as he put her tuxedo jacket around her shoulders, he sighed in relief at would be a recovery from the faux pas. She called him batty, and he grinned. “Ever since I remember us hanging out, some girls got the wrong impression about you.” Enough so, that they didn't think they stood a chance with him because they compared themselves to Bella, and how he acted around her...
And when they'd be eating lunch in the cafeteria, debating something, she'd wave them off before they fully got to the table.
She sped towards the tree line, and dismissed his remark about revenge with sarcasm. “I'll start on memory enhancement meds tomorrow then.” He returned, catching up to her in just a few strides. He had little doubt that the kids in the woods would have any idea what hit them.
They had been walking when she nearly spat out the word, Omega. His brow furrowed as he tried to understand why she said his team name so disdainfully. “Sounds like you have a grudge against them.” He said, not at all confirming whether or not he had been assigned to them.
She pulled him by the arm into a good scouting spot, and started with her torment. The sound effects were perfect, enough so that several screams pierced the air as they hauled their tails out of the foliage – some barely dressed... others jumping into their pants as they made a hasty retreat. Once his laughter died down, his blue eyes fell on the girl he'd missed so much. “Why didn't we do that before?”
For now, he didn't mention the sort of trouble she could get into with Scott over the prank. Old One-Eye would give her a stern talking to when he heard of it, knowing she was the only one capable of doing so. And no doubt he'd place the blame on Blake, stating that Bobby's demeanor had rubbed off on him. But it was a worry for another day. For now, he'd just enjoy the ride.
