"Still. You were very nice about it," said Javonne. Then she tilted her head slightly with a smile, "You know, Dory? You're really cute when you blush like that. I'm really surprised Aaron's not dating you."

Javonne blinked a few times, looking confused. She waited a few moments, before asking, "I'm sorry to pry...but what happened?"

"Well, I sorta always had a crush on him, but he told me he saw me as a friend. It's been a long while since then, so I'm not upset about it anymore. I mean, it's not like I can force him to like me." she said, looking over at Aaron. "And stop that! It's not your fault! Heather just wanted to protect you! I have had it with your moping! You're much cooler when you're you, Aaron! Not this moping, sad, poor excuse of a man!" Dory's eyes filled with tears. "H-heather.. W-wanted you to be h-happy.."

Aaron blinked and looked over at Dory. Then he got up and hugged her, shaking his head. "Stop...crying. I never know what to do when you cry, Dory." he said. "B-besides, I have been trying! Believe me, I have! I don't like feeling sad and pathetic. That's..why I left home."

Javonne sniffled a little, wiping a tear before saying, "Well-" Suddenly a winged knight swept into camp and quickly grabbed her and flew into the air again. "eek! Help! Not again!"

Aaron blinked, then glanced around wildly, and grabbed Dory in his arms. He then made a loud whistling sound, as though signaling something. He chased the winged knight through the forest, keeping an eye on his path.
After a short while, a whooshing sound could be heard from above as an enormous dragon swooped down, and swatted at the winged knight's wings, hoping to cripple him. Then, with the same whoosh, the dragon left, disappearing into the clouds.

The knight's wings vanished, causing him to careen back into the trees before slamming into the ground. The impact knocked Javonne unconscious, her healing powers making her regenerate some of the scratches and cuts that she got from the fall. The knight stood, turning toward Aaron, drawing a sword to point it at him with Javonne laying limp in his other arm, "Back off. This does not concern you."

"On the contrary...it has everything to do with me." he said, as he put Dory down and whispered, "Get Javonne when you're able. Merlin, go with her, in case she needs your spells." The small white dragon slithered out of his cloak, and slipped into Dory's caplet, remaining unseen. Then, Aaron rushed at the knight, swinging his sword at the man.

The knight tossed Javonne to the side, blocking Aaron's sword. Then he slashed his own sword to send Aaron's own blade back at him. "She belongs to the master. And you shall not interfere, human."

"I will not back down." Aaron said, regaining his composure, and swinging again at the knight. "I won't let you take her!" he said, rather loudly.

The knight blocked again and pushed him away, "Be gone, boy. I am highly trained. You look like a mere farmboy. Now get going, before I really get angry." Magic caused his winds to appear on his back again, reaching for Javonne with his free arm.
