Derrick was born to parents of the same blood as himself and grew up in a house with barely sane parents. They taught him about poisons from a young age and he took to the learning like a fish to water. At the age of ten, Derrick’s insanity started to manifest. He had never gotten along with the other children, bullying them mercilessly. When his insanity began to manifest Derrick started to become more stable, as he had a voice of reason within his mind.
He had five years of an almost normal childhood; however his parents lost it and killed each other half way through a fight. At this stage, a second voice joined the first, a sinister one. This aggravated Derricks attitude to a state worse than he had been before he turned ten. He now had no regard for others. He got into more fights, started to shop lift and he even stooped to hitting women.
He has evaded trouble over the years thanks to his uncanny hiding skills he has perfected over the years. He has never stayed in one place long since his parents died. He dropped out of school at the age of 15, deciding it was too restricting on his illegal activities.
At the age of nineteen he committed his first sex crime, forcing an eighteen year old girl to do his bidding. It was also his first murder. She had seen his face, so he couldn’t let her live. He had slipped her an untraceable, slow release poison left to him by his parents. She died within the week. Without the second voice, Derrick would never have committed such heinous crimes.
Some days, his voice of reason won, and on these days Derrick stayed home, away from potential targets.
On his Twenty-first birthday he gained a third voice. It has spoken to him once a year on his birthday, just as a reminder that it is there. Derrick has no idea what the third voices intentions are, however since its arrival, he has been losing a few days a month. Unable to recall the lost days, Derrick assumes that he sleeps through them, as they tend to fall directly after a crime, when he is most tired. He is unaware that the third voice takes over, a whole second personality that could take over on a whim.
For the past six years Derrick has been travelling from place to place, stealing items of value to sell in order to feed him. He has settled in Mau for the time being, though he won’t stay for too long, he fears he will get caught if he does.

He was found by a clan of people called the Inferni. Antonio recognized the word as being Italian, and meaning Hell. They all seemed to speak his language, Italian, which confused him greatly.
The Inferni were a clan of simple farmers. They hunted the nearby areas for meat, but their main food was a corn like substance. Antonio found it to be sweet and delicious. Antonio was called Nero by the people in the clan. When he asked why, they said because of the portal that brought him here. So Antonio was called Nero Inferni ever since.
On the day of Nero’s tenth birthday a group of Lycanthropes hunted down and killed the Inferni clan. Nero was the only one to survive. During the time between age ten and age thirteen he lived in the forests surrounding Ernya. He never stayed in one place too long. Sometime around his thirteenth birthday he found the city. Naname is what you would call a fire starter. she's always out and about making trouble with her friends. But get her alone and she becomes a completely different person. Naname was raised on a small bamboo farm outside of Ernya like most of her friends. Her grandfather taught her how to fight when she was five years old, and later how to wield the family chakrams in battle. Compared to most people of her rank Naname looks like an average person, but her experience with her weapons is on par with a masters, thus she hides who she really is and goes with the look of an average tomboy rebel girl.

Ka**< At a towering six feet and five inches of height, this man is a behemoth. Knotted with muscle where it counts, yet still slender, with a small amount of "meat" in places, making him an average build, aesthetically. His body is proportioned almost perfectly, where if he were to bend in half, his head would be just under his knees. His hair is medium-length, and shaggy in its natural state, sporting a dark brown base color, and a sheen of red, in the light. For clothing, he had very minimalistic garb. A denim-like material. Very light, breathes well, and is a decently strong material. The top he had on was similar to that of a tunic, which cut short just under the groin. It had a belt to keep it tight to his body, around the waist, and the material was cotton, also for purposes of ventilation. Along the chest, there was the "v-neck" breastplate, the scale mail sleeves cestuses and the two gauntlets (one being his power gauntlet). Other than the gauntlet that doesn't get removed, he has shoulder plate armor for the same arm, and a similarly armored opposing arm. In between is a breastplate with a wide collar, which would also cover the back, as well. This just provides a simple amount of protection and barely any maneuverability complications. On the arms, between the shoulder armor and the gauntlets are twin cestuses that seem to be made of black leather scales, to protect the joints. The secondary gauntlet is for balance, and to "camouflage" which gauntlet is the "real" one.

Well, why exactly do I need a background? It's of no use to anyone, really. Like, the only way that a background would be of use would be if there were excessive metagaming, and psychic characters. Is that going to be the case...? >>There are partially psychic characters -- the seers -- but I sort of agree with you on the part that backgrounds are not really necessary and actually strip the fun from building a character. It's just my opinion, though, I'm not going to encourage you to fight Jacky. lol
