Nyx didn't really know much about machines, but she did understand how to use a wrench... she'd put up shelves before. As long as she watched what the others were doing, she could help. Nyx grabbed a tool and got to work along side the pathetic excuse for a leader of a team, and her friend.

"Yes Ma'am" Faleen didn't need to be told twice, it felt uncomfortable standing back letting someone do work like that for them.

Walking briskly over, reaching for her own portable toolkit at her hip, she opened it and quickly snatched out a couple of appropriate tools for what they were doing.
Giving a quick smile to Nyx when she came to help as well. With her they assisted the degrading Galactic.

"Just tighten the bolts?" Aulus shrugged and set his staff down beside Tortie, picking up a wrench instead, adding; "I can cope with that much technicality." Steady hands and powerful muscles made short work of securing bolts, and while it might not be much it felt good to do something, as much to feel he had at least a little power over his situation as anything else.

Aila wasn't the most confident with mechanics, and so she stood aside for the task at hand, instead turning her attention the pilot splayed across the back of the nearby Metagross. Had he received medical attention? She couldn't remember, and she didn't see any visible signs of bandaging or disinfection... Mm, hopefully he'd been unconscious the whole time and wouldn't notice that his wounds weren't treated properly after the crash. Aila thought it polite to administer at least what little first aid she could with the limited items she carried on her person - delayed through the care was - and so she busied herself with that while another group tinkered with the lift. Better than standing uselessly aside, she assumed. Especially if such idle behavior would tempt whatever thing was haunting them to begin its antics once more.

...She did feel a little guilty that the poor man had become nothing more than a means to keep herself occupied, but it was a passing feeling.

Repairing the lift was a lot of work. The thing was a wreck, but through a lot of teamwork and determination, the group succeeded. By the end it was just Rockets working. Deimos ended up back at Tethys' side, breathing into the lunch bag she'd supplied.

At long last, ages after the helicopter and the jet had crashed, the team had their exit. With the lift operational they were all able to put their pokemon away and pile in for the ride to the surface.

When the lift door opened again they were greeted by stars and the moonlit view of the vast mountain range. They'd been trapped in the caves all day. But the air was cool and refreshing and they were most definitely free.

Beside the mine entrance was a large sign painted in worn red letters.

WARNING: DO NOT ENTER
ABANDONED MINE

Below this in smaller letters it read, "Severe Ghost Pokémon Infestation. Proceed at Own Risk."

Deimos, who was already looking leagues better now that he was outside, glared at the sign. "Tethys, make a note. Ghost Pokémon are going on the list."

Aulus glowered at the sign; "No s**t."

Tethys' little notebook emerged again. "Yes sir." Her pencil scratched across the faintly lined paper, prefacing the words with a neat '256.'

She snapped the little book shut, placed it in her coat, and looked around at the gathering. In the surface air, things were starting to look a bit different.. "By your leave, sir," she said quietly.

Aila had never been more glad to see the stars in her life. The night air was cool and fresh in a way she had nearly forgotten it could be. The small agent resisted the urge to lay down on the ground and take a few moments to rest. They were no longer confined in a way that they needed to rely on Galactic for their help, and this was all the reason in the world to keep her guard up.

The sign, however, caused her attention to stray, and Aila inwardly growled contemptuously. She was going to acquire a dark-type with many dark-type moves and eradicate those blasted ghosts from their blasted mine. Assuming she ever wanted to return to the stupid place, which she didn't. Ever.

"Can we go back now?" she murmured to no one in particular. Screw the outpost. Someone else could deal with it.

Faleen had experienced more times than she would like, what it felt like to step out of a cave, after being within for some time into open air. and each time it felt just as wonderful.

She noticed the signs as well, sighing a little.
See, Ghost pokemon, not spirits. that stupid Galactic.

At what Deimos said, she couldn't help a confused frown, glancing over at the idiot savant of a man. "... list?"

Though... speaking of Galactics, they were outside now, and honestly there wasn't anymore reason to have to not start fighting. This thought caused Faleen to step closer to the Rockets in the ground, eying Deimos, and that little book Tethys took out for a moment.

Finally, finally they were out. The sign was also treated to a glare as she shared Aulus' sentiments, although she remained on guard. She did not trust them, any of them. Zeus had been returned to his pokeball before they got into the lift in the first place, but her fingers trailed over Odette's pokeball. She much preferred an escape to a direct battle. Escape sounded much more likely to be successful.

TRP joined her fellow Rockets in a readied stance, eyes on the Galactic trio. Everyone clearly had the same thing on their mind. They were outside, the truce was over and in a moment things were going to get interesting.

The noble course of action would be parting ways peacefully. The Rockets had helped the Galactics, and the Galactics had helped the Rockets. Some mutual respect had been passed around down in those caves, there was no doubt. But nowhere in the Team Rocket motto was nobility mentioned.

It had only been minutes since they reached the surface, but Deimos' claustrophobic episode seemed to have passed completely. At Tethys' comment he nodded, turning a smirk on the Rockets.

"Alright, Team.." TRP spoke in a controlled tone, "The original mission is obviously a loss. Let's not go home empty handed. Take them."

Deimos' smirk broke into a grin and he pulled what looked like a small plastic square with a button in the center from his belt, "Not today." He pressed the button. Every pokédex he'd had his hands on suffered a critical power surge and exploded.

All except the laserdex he'd given to Nyx.

In the confusion that followed, Deimos' gliscor appeared. "Until next time, Team Rocket!" He let loose his trademark laugh and made a run for the giant bat, launching himself over the nearby railing separating the group from the sheer mountainside. Unfortunately he managed to hang his cape on the rail and nearly faceplanted said mountainside instead.

Tethys sighed and paused to unhook the cape from the rail. With considerably less enthusiasm and more grace, she leaned backwards, her eyes rested briefly on the Rockets, and then she fell.

Deimos landed on Phillip a moment after her and made a frazzled attempt at fixing his disheveled cape.

Orion laughed and sprinted after the pair, jumping for Phillip with unnecessary flair and whooping before catching the bat by the tail.

In a matter of moments, Team Galactic was gone.

OOC: Bet you guys thought we forgot about those damage rolls! The small computer strapped to your Rocket's hip just burst into flames. The explosion wasn't large enough to cause serious injury, but it wasn't painless either. There's probably going to be some substantial burns.

For everyone but Nyx, roll one 20-sided die.

15-20: No injury. Just singed clothes.
10-14: A few scrapes from flying plastic and minor burns.
5-10: Some deeper cuts and more severe burns that'll need some care back at HQ.
1-4: There's a piece of pokédex stuck in your character.

(There should be no rank mods for these rolls)
