 ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ Ɉack ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ==== ☠ ==== I listened as she yelled at the maid who'd come in. I had to fight a chuckle when she slammed the door shut on the maid. My ears caught her speaking softly, and I listened hard. My eyes widened. She wanted to see me again? After what I did to her? Why would she want to see me? I'd burned her, to the point that she hadn't even healed yet. I supposed it made sense since it was demon fire that had burned her, but that didn't make me feel better that she was burned. I closed my eyes, focusing. I wouldn't let her know it was me, so I changed into a wolf. It would fit more with where she was, and she'd never seen me as a wolf. Whenever I changed into a certain animal, I took certain traits from my normal body, and I always looked like that whenever I changed into that form again. Now, as a wolf, I had a couple of white streaks in my fur. I hoped that she wouldn't notice that as I walked into her room, my tail down, my ears flat against my head. ==== ☠ ====

Sora hears someone walk in her room from the balcony. She sits up and turns around, hoping it is Jack. A look of disappointment cross her face upon seeing the wolf. "Who are you and how did you get in here?" She asks in a monotone, gripping her bleeding arm in pain. Father was trying to get me in as much pain as possible...and he knows I can't do anything about it other than kick all the servants out of my room... She winces, closing one eye. Damn that b*****d..

≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ Ɉack ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ==== ☠ ==== My ears perked up seeing the look of disappointment on her face. Was she hoping to see me? Or was she expecting someone else? I noticed that her arm was bleeding and I whimpered. I didn't answer her question, instead I hung my head. ==== ☠ ====

Sora notices the white streaks. His fur looks like... Her eyes widen. "J-Jack?" She asks, sliding off the edge of her bed and taking his head in her hands. She forces him to look her in the eyes.

Tears brim Sora's eyes. "S-sorry..I must have been mistaken.." She says softly, letting go and turning away. I wonder if he is still passed out by those ruins.. She nearly flinches as the memory of his father ripping the ears off his head flashes back to her. She trembles slightly and closes her eyes. "I just want to...know that he is alright.." She whimpers, crying now.

Sora grips her hurt arm. "I-I don't care that he burned me...I was careless enough to be so close..." She's obviously talking to herself now, as she does not register that he is still there. "I just want to see him again...to know he is alive and well..."

≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ Ɉack ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ==== ☠ ==== This is absurd, I thought, why the hell doesn't she care that I burned her? It wasn't her fault that I lost my temper, whether she was close or not. I walked out of the room onto the balcony, out of her view. I laid down, closing my eyes again. A few seconds later, I changed back into my normal form. I didn't want to go in there. She may not care that I'd burned her, but I did. I didn't want to face what I'd done. I stood up, trying not to make any noise. ==== ☠ ====

The chains jolt loudly as Sora falls down, accidentally completely wrapping herself in them. She panics and struggles to get free as they automatically tighten around her, cutting off her airways and strangling her. She gasps as they dig into her skin. What the hell is this! The image of her father sitting in his chair and smirking flashes before her and she snarls. She opens her mouth to speak but is unable to because she is quickly losing the ability to breathe. Your going to regret doing this to me....father.... Her eyes close and she faints while the chains continue to tighten about her.

≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ Ɉack ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ==== ☠ ==== I heard the chains rattling and thought she was getting up, until I heard a thump. I looked into the room to see the chains tightening around her. I was suddenly enraged again, but this time I controlled myself to not let the fire spread. It didn't even make it to my hands. I went into the room, grabbing one of the chains and breaking it easily. I grabbed the others and pulled them taut. I groaned and, using as much strength as I could muster, yanked them apart. I loosened the chains from around her and picked her up, cradling her in my arms. I ran out onto the balcony and jumped over the edge. I fell to the ground, spreading my wings at the last second and flying close to the ground. When we got to the trees, I used the wind to lift me up and over, flapping my wings to get us higher. There's no way those wolves could catch us when I was this high. She was safe from them now. But was she safe from me? I couldn't answer that question. ==== ☠ ====

Sora groans softly. The chains had badly indented into her skin, causing her to bleed in some places. She shows no sign of waking up anytime soon as she stays limp in his arms.

I flew up to the top of the mountain, landing us at the top. I manipulated the air so that she wasn't short of breath and laid her her on the ground gently. ==== ☠ ====

After a while, Sora seems to stir slightly from unconsciousness. "Jack..." She whispers, seeming to somehow sense that he is there. Her hand twitches slightly and she shivers from the cold rock.
