Synei glared down at the boy, soon to be whore. "You'll understand why I am the way I am when you are my age. I'm not going to tell you to get out of here before you are wasted as a whore, but you shouldn't look forward to being one. It's not some romantic thing, kid. You sleep with the ugliest of people you can imagine. People so despicable they have to pay for someone to pleasure them, you ignorant fool." he muttered, going off on one of his rants. He had aged quickly and it was as though he was almost twice his age. Gruffly, but pretty gently, he swatted the kid with the back of his hand, walking to the work room where he'd take a small nap before getting back to work.

Mizi listened to Devon's recollection with a slightly shocked look. He hadn't realized that Rikuo was the one who Shinto had been complaining about. With a nod at the drink request, the pretty drink mixer bent over and took a box of strawberries and a carton of milk from the refrigerator. He placed the rest of the ingredients on the counter and nudged the door closed with the side of his hip. He cut and rinsed the strawberries. Mixing strawberries, sugar, milk, a bit of rum, and ice in a blender, Mizi nodded. "I suppose that's why they're having Rikuo do dishes." The brunette reached into the freezer and pulled out a frosted glass. A teaspoon a sugar was followed by the fruity liquid in the glass. He set the drink on the counter for Devon.

Domonique's head nodded twice, before his eyes fluttered open and he jumped to his feet noticing two other men in the kitchen. What are they doing? he asked himself, yawning lightly. The smell of rum tickle his nose, a shocked look appeared on his face as he wounder why would they be drinking at this hour.

Dai glared at Synei's retreating back, muttering to himself. "He doesn't even know me and he's already spewing out lectures and advice." He scoffed, "I'm not that stupid and ignorant that I don't know all that. I didn't just start, y'know..." He ground out through his teeth quietly, grabbing his notepad off the bar table and retreating back over to the diner part to finish up his shift. "Who in their right mind looks forward to giving themselves to strangers, anyway?" He continued his mumblings, though he didn't seem quite as angry as he took a table.
He finished his shift quickly and once done, he decided not to do his rounds. At least not for a while. He instead collapsed upon his bed and allowed himself to doze, drained.

Devon took a drink from the glass. "Mmm... thank you." He let out a sigh of relief at the taste of the daquiri. "It's unfortunate, but our great Shinto can't let it get around that he gave out a freebie, can we?" Devon smirked. He looked down at the counter thinking for a moment.
He finally remembered what he was meaning to talk to Mizi about. He was procrastinating on saying it, however. He scratched an itch on his right shoulder and pushed on his back to try to get it to pop. Soon he gave up on it, taking another drink. "So, you're having trouble with a client, right? What does this man do?"

Fate walked down the hallway and stayed in silence. The first few days were always the hardest until people began to know him and what he was capible of. He sighed and leaned against the wall then slid down it. He closed his eyes then after a second he started to sing quietly to himself.

Fey stepped out of the cab with a duffel bag, he looked up at the victorian mansion with a nostalgic look and a soft smile. It was good to be back home. His hair blew into his face before falling back down to his waist, some of the lightest blond on top, falling and mixing till the near brunnette color on the bottom of his scalp. Moss green eyes, a bit red, closed before opening as he made his way to the door.
Lady B had been very kind as as much as he wished to continue to wallow, he had to repay her and get back to work. She had paid for his trip to see his mother and while he had told the others that she had fallen ill again, this would be the last. A few days after he got there he watched her die from cancer and then burried her. The rest of the time he was taking care of her will and such. He had begged Lady B to not tell the others incase they may worry about him but he didn't know if she had or not.
When he entered and placed his duffel bag away, careful not to run into anyone else yet, he didn't want to speak to anyone yet. He found a boy, one he didn't recognize sitting on the floor. He bustled over and pulled him up. "You shouldn't sit there, you might catch a cold. Now come on, we should get you something to drink." He said before leading him to the bakery kitchen. Seeing Mizi there was perfect! "Mizi! Can you make something warm for him, I found him sitting on the floor in the hallway! That's not a very warm spot." He said guiding the other into the kitchen.
((Don't worry, the rest of my posts will probably not be nearly as long. blaugh ))

Lady B emerged from her office and walked over to the kitchen. Taking the hammer, she lightly hit the gong to make her annoucement.
"The Cafe is Closing for the Night fairly soon. Make your last minute drink orders if you wish and take some pastries home with you. We hope you enjoyed your visit."
Shinto downed the last of his coffee, shook his head and stood up, "Well I guess I better get back to work. When the cafe's closed that's when we're at our busiest."
Rikuo looked up just as Shinto left his seat and ran a hand through his still damp hair.
"Why do you do it?"
Surprised, Shinto looked back at Rikuo. He was silent for a moment or two before answering, "We need the money." He left.
