I go by many names. I have messed up alot in my lives. Some call me Aria, others know me as Rakashael O'Morgan, these days however I am known as Cortney or Yuzora. I REALLY would prefer Yuzora. I used to be a horrible, violent, and extremely unhappy person. I was raised in a close-minded christian home full of abuse and contradiction. Eventually after several near death experiences I finally woke up and realized what I was doing was completely wrong. After some research I found Buddhism and Shintoism. In this way of life I have gained a profound peace and understanding I would have never seen before. I am still learning about Buddhism... mainly not being so angry all the time. It is good to talk to people who aren't all trying to convert me. ^_^ *Sigh of relief* Currently I am a poor college student striving to help others.

My name is Vivian and I'm 16 years old. I lost faith in Christianity at an early age, and still haven't quite told my family. I didn't like the idea of Atheism, but I believe that something's out there, just maybe not a being. Buddhism has given me most of the answers I've been looking for. I'm new to the religion, and haven't quite found a specific sect, but I'm looking forward to learning more.

My name is Cole and i am 16 years old. I stopped believing in christianity when i was around 12 or 13. So, you could say puberty i suppose. It was a difficult time and i was looking for answers and stayed up praying to God that they would be answered but, the more i did the more horrible things happened. I know it isn't a good thing to lean back on but, i found buddhism and for the most part i love it to death.
Keeps me calm when i get mad and it is an uderstanding belief that was easy for me to figure out. I am able to appreciate the way i live more and i figured out how beautiful nature can be.

I'm Hazelynn smile . I was born into Buddhism, so I can't exactly relate in the whole finding yourself and not liking one religion over the other like I see a lot of you... I feel left out at times but I learn to deal, 3nodding .
I'm in College, life definitely has it's struggles but Chanting helps me through it ^.^. I was born into Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism. I am a proud member of the Soka Gakkai International family! Victory over Violence is what we aim for, accepting all walks of life is why I love this religion. Regardless of your background if you show general interest and willing to learn then I will treat you with respect and help as much as I can. The only person who you hold back is yourself...

Hello everyone smile
My name is Maya and I was raised agnostic. For as long as I can remember, I have maintained a deep fascination for all forms of religion, though never fully committing myself to any one particular belief system. For much of my life, I have grappled with a very painful, ever looming feeling of depression. I have recently begun to practice zen buddhism as a way to help put at ease my long conflicted mind and so far it has been a truly wonderful experience. I do mindfulness meditation as regularly as I can but I am far from efficient with it. I also listen to dharma podcasts somewhat frequently. They are, for now, the only form of a Buddhist teacher that I have. I have been practicing for several months now, and I am greatly enjoying the experience. I feel as if a whole new world is opening itself to me. I have never been so happy.
The only thing I feel that I am missing is a community with which to share my experience. I hope that this guild could, in some way or another, help fill that gap.
I very much look forward to getting to know you all.

Hello everyone, I'm Kimberly. I've always kinda lurked around this guild, so I finally decided to join and maybe become an active member. I first started learning about Buddhism about a year ago. I've found it extremely helpful with learning to cope with my depression and anxiety.
I'm 20 years old, and I'm currently planning to get back into college for occupational therapy (I've become obsessed with having a career that involves helping people). I've gone through many religious paths in my life: Christian, Wiccan, Hindu-inspired paganism, and Kemetic Orthodoxy. All involving trying to have relationships with a deity, but never really feeling like anything was there. Then, I found Buddhism and things started making sense. I don't officially call myself a Buddhist, because I feel like I still don't know enough to give myself that label. But, I do like to say I'm inspired by Buddhist teachings.

Hi, I'm ZelRyu, but you can call me Ellie.
I'm a former Christian - I always wanted to believe but I never had much faith, so I recently gave up practicing any religion and decided to study a few, trying to find the right fit. I stumbled across Buddhism a few months ago and, though my path so far has been a little squiggly, I've gradually started thinking of myself as a Buddhist. I still haven't found a teacher or a community or even another Buddhist near me, though (which is odd, on a college campus), and I'd appreciate any suggestions for reading.
P.S. Kiwi, I love your signature.

Konichiwa, I'm Dylan and I'm 13. I never understood Christainanity because it all sounded like stories not truth. I learned Buddhism from my grandparents who were teachers when I was around 6. I intergrate Buddhism into my everyday life by following the Dharma.

I go by Ai, Aino, Ailill, or Aino Ailill.
I am an irreligious agnostic atheist and am attempting to formulate my personal philosophy. It's slow going, took me years to come to the conclusion that I do not believe in deities. After this was settled, it then took me a few years to come to come to a final conclusion on my belief in souls, spirits, and what-not. I have recently, within the past year, begun looking more toward what I do believe, especially in concerns with morality and the like, and why I hold these beliefs, ir they're valid, and what-not. I believe that a study of Buddhism might assist me in this endeavor.
I am a Freshman in College, FSU. I attended my third day of class today. Chem Lab looks killer, but everything else seems all-right.
I'm trying to decide between moving to NY or out of country after college. I have 4-8 years to make the decision though so it's not urgent.
I love languages and religions. ^^

My name is Branden, but most of my friends call me "Pigeon". And please, I actually prefer to be referred to as Pigeon. lol I am 19, turning 20 next month and became a Buddhist recently, but feel I know enough about myself to know about the "religion" as well. I do as much research as I can and live a very Buddhist lifestyle. I was born into a non-denominational Christian family, but they're open-minded. My mom is very supportive of my Buddhistic beliefs and is actually proud of me for doing it. My dad, on the other hand, is having a hard time grasping the concept, but it's ok, he will learn to deal and I know he loves me anyway. I am very happy to be a Buddhist and feel very fortunate to be in the guild! ^-^
