(( Paintball field, Team Papaya Shot 4/6, 1 hit, 3 miss ))
Once again Ronan was hit, this time on the chest. Wincing at the pain, he massaged the paint splotch slightly below his collar bone. Already hit twice and missing most of his shots so far? Rotten luck!
Hearing something moving in the sand beside him, a paintball rifle was whipped around, lowered only when the other individual began to speak.
"I'm Ronan," he replied, giving a curt nod. "I am unsure who just hit me now, but I had been aiming at the red and black raevan over there, with the large wings. He's proving a bit too nimble at the moment though."
Scanning the field once more, Ronan spotted another sigel, this one red and white, Lazarus. Taking a few breaths in and out, he took his time sighting over the rifle, wanting to prevent another bad shot. There, a shot at the horn, slowly pulling the trigger....
Suddenly, the raevan moved, and he was looking at an eye, not a horn - no! Giving an almost strangled grunt Ronan was able to move his gun before it was fired, but only barely, the pellet shrieking over Lazarus's head. A miss was better than hitting someone in the eye, but damn it, neither was good!
Ronan slid back behind the dune, left hand over his face. "I hope you can have better luck than me," he said to Ethan, voice tired and worn.

[MANGO! Shot 02/06 | H:1 | M:1] [Shot at XIU : MISSED! D: ]
A few stray shots fired overhead, Lazarus was glad that he had the sand dune in the way to shield him from potential danger. Eiry was not very far from him as he was about to get up and take another shot again. Suddenly his chest exploded in a bright green color as a pellet hit him. Strange enough, the first thought that crossed the firey Sigel's mine was - the green color actually matched the ghostly Raevan quite well.
Nevertheless, as the captain of the Mango team, he should get revenge for his team mate right? Propping his gun against the top of the dune, he aimed at the direction where the green pellet came from and saw... Xiu? With a bright orange forehead nonetheless. For a split second he was just stunned for some unknown reason as he watched the white Sigel duck for cover. s**t! He cussed quietly as he realized what he was supposed to do. Trailing the white colored figure, he pulled the trigger with some hesitation, perhaps he didn't want to stain the other Sigel's pristine white vest. But it was this hesitation that made his shot miss by a good distance.
Muttering another swear word, he ducked back behind the sand dune again, his breath coming out in soft pants as adrenaline rushed through his body. What was he doing? Losing his cool like that?

((Lucia=Oceanside / Ty=Paintball))
[Team Mango 2/6 | H:2 | M:0] [Shot at Xiu: HIT!]
Ty sprinted to another side of the field, being sure to dive behind every possible obstruction along his way. Just because he was making shots, it didn’t mean that the other team wasn’t as well. The blonde man stopped short as a paintball flew across the open air in front of him. His eyes followed and it landed, he winced, directly on the chest of a raevan teammate. ”That sucks, mate!” he said sympathetically to his minty teammate. ”I’m Ty.” He grinned and turned to face the person who had accosted Eiry.
He didn’t know that Eiry had hit first, nor did he know that the return shot, between friends, had just been retaliation. This was war. And in war all that mattered was protecting yourself and protecting your mates.
He lined up the sight, leveling it at Xiu’s chest. Breathing slowly out through his mouth he pulled the trigger. The ball whirled through the air and landed SPLAT on the sigel’s shoulder. So this thing has some curve, he thought of the gun, after ducking behind another obstacle. ”Square?” he asked the sigel he thought he had defended.
----------
”Yeah, I know Varun,” she said plainly. It wasn’t that she didn’t like the orangey frei, but she didn’t feel overtly affectionate towards him either. If he was around she’d be nice, if not, she wouldn’t think of him. He was just so different from her, it seemed, that they never really meshed or butted heads. She shrugged, indicating her indifference.
Lucia nodded. She had never had the pleasure of hearing her friend, but if it was Pasha singing, she knew it must be impressive. ”She does it in front of people and everything, I think. And, well, it’s Meli. Of course she’s awesome.” The frei’s light giggle escaped her lips – so different from the sob-like laugh from her possession.
As Zul replied to her light demand for a playdate, the kitten just smiled. ”You still have to really show me those whales,” she said referring to the whale they had seen in the aquarium over a year ago. She had heard them when living at the beach house, but never really ventured out to see what they looked like.
Once Zul wasn’t around as much, she wasn’t sure she wanted to – those things were BIG! But if he showed her – she would be safe. Unless it ate her.
”So what have you been doing that you’ve been so busy? Any new girlfriends I should know about?” She teased her friend, knowing full well that they had never really talked about that stuff – other than when she mentioned she had cared for Rivener. For the kitten, she didn’t care anymore. Why get a boyfriend or a girlfriend when flirting with everyone was so much fun?
Being distanced from everyone, and spending time with Ty who flirted with most any woman with a pulse, she learned not to be committed. She learned to lighten up. And she was told not to dwell in the past. Though her nerves had agitated her at her first arrival to the beach, Lucia was returning to her typical post-possession self. She was learning not to care, and to let things heal. What else could she do?

[ Ethan. Paint ball game.
Shot 3/6 | H: 0 | M: 3 Aiming at Ripley. Missed. ]
Luckily no more shots had collided with Ethan with messy results, however, no easy shots had presented themselves to him either... Everyone had appeared to find niches whereby they could sneak up and aim carefully placed shots at their foes whilst avoiding getting hit themselves. He and Ronan were behind one dune whilst he now knew that it was Rivener and Lazarus behind the opposing dune. Ronan had fired at Laz but missed – the poor unshaven cheap was having quite a poor time it seemed. “I’m going to aim elsewhere. Cover me.” Ethan directed with a smile and a light nudge to the other man’s shoulder with the muzzle of the gun, as if telling him to chin up.
Scuffling up the dune he peeked over the top. Lazarus and Rivener were no long present – most likely ducking out of sight – so he proceeded with his plan and aimed at a more exposed person. He could always try and get his revenge later. A few others were darting about in the battlefield but they were moving targets. His eye had spotted a stationary raevan, dark skinned and... from a distance... Egyptian looking? He didn’t recognise him – but that didn’t matter. Pulling the trigger Ethan felt the gun shudder and the bullet was fired.
An small explosion of water in the surf behind the boy marked Ethan’s shot as a miss and the businessman grunted in frustration. He was beginning to believe that perhaps he was aiming wrong. Maybe the gun had a slight kick to it which put his shots off course... Either way: Now he had to duck back down before someone aimed at him.... “Ronan, afraid I missed too. You want a shot now?” He asked his newly found shooting companion. "There's a guy by the sea - he's not moving around. I missed, you might have better luck though."

(( Ripley - PAINTBALL!!
/ shooting at. . . . probably not someone playing ( Rong Wei maybe )
Team Mango shot 3/6 ;; 1 hit, 2 miss ))
So Ripley had seen the power these guns could do the moment he'd watched that pellet connect with that human kid's head, and it gave him something of a thrill to see how much suffering could be inflicted from a single shot. The hit to his wings had caused him only mild discomfort and surprise, not actual pain as he pretended to feel at the impact, and holding the gun up he looked around the 'battlefield' to see who else he could impart a shot to. The human child who'd shot at him was now covered in the colors of his team, several others having taken good shots that ended well and left him marked. There was an older man at the kid's side as well, and several others running around firing guns. Ripely still didn't know who was on his team or who wasn't, save for Eiry (bech) and Rivener (okayish for now), though the moment he saw a white figure get pelted in the back with a familiar color he looked to find the shooter and memorize their face - another for his team. If he could just keep track it would prevent him from firing carelessly and coloring one of his own teammates, since he was pretty sure if this game had rules and a winner - they'd need to be colored only with enemy fire.
That being said he turned his head quickly at the sound of a whistle and he took a slight turn, watching with disgust as a pellet hit into the water behind him. His eyes scanned out to see whom it was shooting at him - that old man, perhaps? There was no need to shoot back - Ripley hadn't been hit after all, but that didn't stop him from raising his gun like he was going to anyway. The moment the gun hit his shoulder it jarred him enough that his finger squeezed the trigger and a bullet flew out, leaving the Raeven to curse as he watched it speed away. Hopefully it would hit someone, even if they weren't playing, as he'd hate to say two of his shots went to nothing.

As Prajna scurried away from Rivener and most of the other colorful warriors, itunknowingly dodged a spiteful shot made by the Scorpion Sigel as the Star made its way to the outskirts of the game. The adrenaline was coursing through its veins and Prajna could barely control the tingling sensation rushing from its fingertips to its face. It felt like the first time Prajna used its powers. It was almost painful, this tingling, like sparks on its fingertips. Or rather..flames. Prajna's genderless features kept up a mischievious air to them though as it continued to sneak around the sandy grounds. This was so much better than just watching wars and battles on the television screen. Prajna made note to participate in this kind of ...violence more often.
But now..who to shoot?
Prajna's icy eyes glanced around. Rivener was now too far away to shoot a second time, and Prajna wanted to lay low and out of the Sigel's line of murderous intent so it turned its attention elsewhere. Ahead, it saw Varun attempting to snipe a few others and there was a small pang of yearning in Prajna's chest. It wanted to go be with its fiery companion..but the Leviathan had clearly not wanted its company. The Star tightened its grip on its gun as it shook its head. It would prove to that idiot just how wonderful it was to be with Prajna! Prajna would show Varun just how great it was. And that's when Prajna spotted him: a lone Frei near the waters.
Prajna had never met this one before, the one with the black skin and the dark hair. Prajna scrunched its nose. What an unpleasant appearance. That's when it heard the "pop!" of a gun and ducked. When it felt no pain and heard no one wince, the Inverted Flame raised its head ...to see that the stranger was glancing around confused. Perhaps he had missed his target? Prajna smirked as it lowered itself behind a mount of sand and raised its gun. Unlike this unsightly shooter, Prajna would make sure not to miss.
"Pop!"
Prajna's heart jumped and it stopped its breath as it witnessed a blur of color make contact with Ripley's neck. What a beautiful shot! Prajna had almost got the stranger in the same spot as Rivener! Quickly, the Star floated away, hoping not to get caught...though one would think the two red buns on its head would just be screaming "Shoot me."

[ Ethan. Paint ball game.
Shot 4/6 | H: 0 | M: 4 Aiming at A coconut. Missed (a person, but hit the nut. =u=b). ]
Slightly irked at all of his failures Ethan decided to test his theory in regards to whether it was his gun at fault. It would waste a bullet – yes – but if it turned out that it was not sheer bad handling and the equipment’s fault that all his shots thus far had missed he might be entitled to a) a new gun and b) a fresh lot of bullets! Thus he aimed at a coconut on a nearby palm tree – an easy target since it was relatively close – and squeezed the trigger. The gun shuddered and the bullet hit the mark, splatting the hairy nut with a coating of aquamarine paint. Wincing Ethan realised it must be sheer bad luck and focused once more on the actual game. One shot wasted... But.... Now he would just have to try extra hard to remedy his losses and actually hit a foe or two.

Ronan looked out to see Ethan's own missed shot, feeling a strange sort of comfort at the fact that he wasn't the only one having bad luck so far. Turning his head when the older man spoke, he then looked over to the egyptian raevan he was referring to.
"Yes, I'll go ahead and take another shot, but not at the one on the beach," Ronan stated. "I've already hit him once.... and paid for it," he said ruefully, rubbing his paint stained hair.
While scanning for another target Ronan noticed Ethan aiming at a coconut near by. Wham! So he could hit a target! Definitely bad luck then.
"Nice shot! Now just to hit a target," he said cheekily, which was rather unnecessary. "Seriously though, you are a pretty good shot, just have to keep shooting and hope luck will come back to your side," Ronan said, giving an encouraging smile.
Scanning the beach, he soon found another target, a blond haired man running across the beach, Ty. And no paint on him so far? That just wasn't right. Only able to see the top bit of the hair now that he had hidden behind the dune, Ronan decided to go for it anyway. Sighting over the gun, he pulled the trigger, and the pellet hit the blond right on the crown on the head.

[[ Paintball! TEAM MANGO! Shot [2/6] [1: Hit| 1:Missed] Aiming at: NOTHING. Missed! ]]
Laughing gaily, Eiry had filled his eyes with mirthful tears, quite firmly blurring his sight. It was in that moment that a sharp sting of pain splattered over his chest and he looked down in shock, fitfully blinking his red eyes at the wet green paint that covered him there. Glancing up, his face still a complete gaze of shock, Eiry spotted Xiu happily grinning at his successful shot of retort. Before Eiry had the chance to let an amused grin slip onto his cheeks, another member on their team, sidled by, lowered the nozzle of the paintball gun, and shot back at Xiu. It hit squarely on the white sigel, further covering his white clothes with pale red gunk, and Eiry had to burst aloud with laughter again.
"Good shot, grand shot, good fellow!" the minty sigel hooted to Ty, tucking himself behind the dune once more, "Right fair mark! I could dare venture to say that things are now quite even between the pure fellow and I! Quite fair indeed!" Extending a hand that he quickly took away before the man could shake it, Eiry introduced himself with a flourish, his own hand on his paint covered chest, "You may call my Eiry, fellow, good fellow, Ty. I am Eirdirsceol. Pronounce it trippingly on the tongue and turn your fiery orbs to the battlefield at hand! We are at war!"
And laughing hysterically, the kind of laugh that was sure to strike uncertainty and unsettling fear in the hearts of the hearing, Eiry scooted off across the dunes, in search of another target. Unfortunately, when he jumped behind another bustle of grass, his finger slipped on the trigger and his shot went into the ocean. Cursing his slippery fingers in all matter of tongues and phrases, the ghostly sigel narrowed his eyes trying to find another candidate for his aim.

[[Paintball!!! (Rivener) // Drinks Booth (Aphismet) <Yuurei>>]]
[Shot 04/06 | H:2 | M:2] [Shot at PRAJNA: miss]
Riv grinned at Eiry when the minty Sigel joined him by his covering bench, Eiry flattening to the nearby dune and subsequently shooting at Xiu. Riv snickered. Another paintball whizzed past Riv's head, and the Scorpion blinked at Ethan in surprise. He'd come around the other side, the sneaky old goat. Riv grinned and dashed away, rolling to another sand dune with a laugh. He'd get Ethan back later if he had any shots left; he'd already successfully shot that guy once. He needed to pin Prajna this time! Then he'd move on to Xiu or something.
It didn't take long to notice the star-frei, shooting Ripley in the back of the head... That was strangely familiar, and Riv grimaced as he reached fingers up to the back of his own hair. Had this shot been from PRAJNA? Hmph! Riv couldn't be sure, of course, but he decided he was going to bean the star-frei if it was the last thing he did, just in case it HAD been its doing.
With a flap of his wings Rivener propelled himself forward quickly, advancing on Prajna's back and raising his gun, finger on the trigger. He aimed for the back of that red-haired head...
And missed again. What the hell?! Was this androgynous Raevan blessed by some stupid, out-of-this-world luck or what?! Before he could be spotted, Riv dove behind the nearest booth. "@#^&^%^&%#@!!!!"
Aphismet turned to see Yuurei hailing him, and he grinned in greeting. "Hi to you too, Yuurei! I've been good, keeping busy busy... How about you? You've been keeping well?" Of course Aphi knew Lucia had been in Alex's keeping while she was recovering from the little stint with Rivener, so he figured he shouldn't mention that at all, just in case. "Did you want something to eat? There's tons here, or we could BBQ something up for you if you wish."

(( Ripley - PAINTBALL!!! ;; Rong Wei - Drinks Booth TAG TO KYOU
Team Mango shot 4/6 ;; 2 hit, 2 miss SHOOTING AT PRAJNA: HIT!! ))
That. Is. Enough.
Ripley hissed from the sting of a pellet hitting his neck, and that same irritation he'd felt from getting hit in the wing spread through his whole body as if it were running a marathon. The crackle-pop from before erupted again as Ripley's eyes took in the people who might have even the slightest bit of gall to shoot him, and it just so happened that he saw someone retreating away as if they knew they'd been caught. Considering the man and manboy from before had shot at him, one hitting and one missing, he knew it wasn't them at all. The manboy wouldn't shoot Ripley again, not after being hit in the head, and the old man had the aim of a dying creature. It had to be that retreating figure, the one who wasn't paying attention and thinking they could possibly get away with it. Ripley's wings vibrated against his back in anger, their metal clinking together to create an odd symphony as he Egyptian Frei finally decided it was time for him to move from his spot. Standing here had gotten him shot twice, which wasn't so bad considering that manboy had been moving and was practically covered in color, but it was time for him to go on the offensive.
Moving as quickly as a floating creature possibly could, he managed to stay odd enough in his motions that if anyone had tried to shoot him in this pursuit they'd miss, and soon he was upon the floating red figure. Ripely was sure his face looked mildly deranged from the anger he was feeling, so he took a moment to calm himself down and replace the rage with a look of contented pleasure. It wasn't that hard to do actually, he'd seen Rong Wei practically master the motion in under three seconds, and when he felt that his face was serene enough he cleared his throat. With a shout, he addressed his shooter.
"Hey, I need to show you something really quick, can you look over here?"
It probably would have been easier if Ripley knew this strange thing's name, but maybe he could fool it into looking anyway. He was lucky enough that his words might have caused the figure to turn just enough, or else it was turning to try and get away, because the moment Ripley saw the skin on its face he raised the gun and pulled the trigger. A wave of delight filled his body as he watched the paint pellet explode against the pale flesh. It had hit close to the eye, or right on the eye, or at least the cheek, but either way - contact had been made.
"Head shot."
For her part at the drinking booth, Rong Wei was rubbing an oddly coral-colored stain out of the over shirt she wore, her words cursing whomever had dared hit her. A stray bullet had taken the poor Chinese woman by complete surprise, rendering her pissed off and without a cool fruit drink. The drink was likely on the floor or back on the man who'd offered it to her, seeing as her hand jerked from the sudden impact, and Rong Wei had actually taken the time to rightfully apologize at least twice for spilling things everywhere.
"I'm really sorry about that. I guess I should have been paying better attention to the game that's going on, but I didn't think one of the strays would come over this far. Hopefully I didn't get anything on you."
Her real intention was she hoped she didn't ruin anything, because she didn't want to have to pay for anything. The Chinese woman had more than a strong idea of who it was that shot her, and she would be getting her revenge later that evening - or at least she was going to try to get it.

As Prajna sneaked away as ninja-like as was possible, it had a strange feeling of being watched. Was it Rivener's eyes on its back? No, no, Rivener was too far away-- "POP!"
Prajna whirled around just in time to avoid a coral-colored bullet. Too distracted with the avoidance, the Star tried to catch its shooter but to no luck. Little did the Star know, Rivener was already hiding behind a new dune. This battlefield seemed too small now, the Star noted. That's when the blue eyes turned and made contact with steel colored ones, the ones belonging to the dark skinned stranger.
"Hey, I need to show you something really quick, can you look over here?" he yelled.
And in the next second, Prajna let out a small gasp as it watched another coral blur come and make contact with its face. The whizzing blur exploded against the Star's brow arch and the androgynous Frei followed the gasp with a scream, "DEATH. TO. YOU!!!"
The adrenaline was like needles in the Star's fingertips. With one eye now twitching, trying to close, Prajna raised the gun and shot wildly at the heinous fool in front of it, remembering not how important aim was in a shooting game.
Luckily... the Star watched, a newfound haughtiness decorating its features, as the redhead's own turquoise pellet made contact yet again with the braided Frei's skin. The shot seemed to mirror the one it was given as it exploded against the other's face. ((I'll let Rown choose where it hit XD))
Knowing now the pain of being hit, Prajna laughed wickedly before fleeing and disappearing behind other dunes and barriers. Having made its revenge, Prajna made note to keep an eye out for this dark skinned Frei, this idiot who dared to challenge the Star. ...That's when Prajna remembered: Where was Varun??

Team Papaya Shot 3/6 | Hit: 0 | Miss: 3 Aiming at Ripley. Missed.))
After shifting the gun to her other shoulder, Ebony quickly looked around from behind her hiding spot. It was total chaos out on the beach where they were playing, Raevans and humans alike where just zipping and zooming all over the place, making it extremely hard for tracking purposes. Just as you were zeroing in on one target, suddenly another (or heavens forbid an actual teammate) would cross its path and disrupt your focus.
Yet…there was one stationary figure, a male Frei just as dark in coloring as her Delia, probably more so due to his darker skin tone. “Ripley…” Ebony muttered light with distaste. Maybe it was time someone finally taught that little bugger a lesson or two. Carefully lining up her shot, Ebony was just about to pull the trigger when a blue and brown figure was waving her arms around and calling out to the Brit. Surprised by the sudden reappearance of Ekundayo, the woman’s shot whirled wildly off course, splattering a rock instead. What was even worse was that Ripley had finally had enough and was now on the move.
Frustrated, yet also concerned for the eagle girl’s safety, Ebony shouted out to her charge. “Cordelia! Please to be escorting Dayo away from the paintball field!”
Even though she hadn’t figured out to whose team she should be rooting for, Cordelia’s attention had been greatly absorbed with watching everyone floating and running about like crazies. Eagerly she’d been pacing along the edges of the field, wanting to see everything from all angles. Yet what the basilisk wanted more was to participate. If only she’d known what it was, Delia would have gladly scribbled her name upon this game’s sheet as well!
Ears twitching at the sound of her name, the snake followed the voice to its origin. Ebby was standing just out from behind a great dune and most animatedly pointing to something. Grey orbs blinked slow before following the purple nail to none other than…“DAYO!” Quickly the girl slithered over to her feathered friend and led her gently away from the madness and back to the safety of the popsicle booth. Once settled, Cordelia took the other into a proper hug. “How are you? I’ve missed you.”

[[Petting Zoo.
Sort of not really tag to Dracul and Chrys.]]
He took the bottle of water given to him by Alex. "So it's washable paint then. And, of course Miss Alex, please take your time as it seems the discussion is somewhat important." He winced a little as he relapsed into adding a title before her name. He watched the two converge to the side. Yes, he was a little curious as to what the two where discussing and how they knew each other. But in the end, it was none of his business. Turning a deaf ear to the two, he looked down to assess his shirt.
It was all on his side with some splatters on his back. He stared at the bottle of water in his hand. It looked like he was going to have to take his shirt off to wash the paint out. Unfortunate. He should have worn an undershirt today. Grabbing the bottom of the polo, he pulled it off neatly over his head without getting any of the pain in his hair or on his face.
Despite being in his mid thirties, Jezabroux still had a well chiseled abdominal. The product of an intense workout every morning for the past two decades if not longer. Shirt in hand, he unscrewed the top of the water bottle and poured some of its contents on the shirt. Contrary to Alex's words, it only seemed to be doing more damage. The paint had diluted into the water to give the once clear water a murky lime edge, leaving streaks of papaya wherever the water ran.
He paused and looked up from his shirt, taking in his surroundings even more. His eyes moved to observe the current match of paintball and instead settled on a Raevan of blue and tan. Long wild hair, double collar and a fierce look in her eyes. She reminded him of those raptors they showed on the discovery channel; untamed, proud, but mostly untouchable. She had quite an aura.
