"Snake- wait no, that's not right- Serpentpaw, wait up will you!" Broken called as she ran after Serpentpaw, traveling in daylight was harder then she was used to

[The two Breezeclan cats walked lazily to the border.
With the clan thriving, the two cats seemed to have nothing to do.
The clan was bursting with life and had many cats to fulfill the needs of the clan.
The tom twined his tail with the she-cat's and gazed into her never-ending sky blue eyes.
He laughed out loud and whispered in her ear..]
"Do you realize how crazy you make me?" Dewburst asked.
[Skyeyes felt her ears go hot with embarrassment and released her tail, using it to smack Dewburst lightly on the shoulder.]
"You can't possibly mean that.. Can you?" she asked, unwilling to hope.
"No wait. Don't answer that. I wanna find out on my own." Skyeyes mewed with a shuddering breath.

[She blinked knowingly and beautifully at Dewburst and scampered to the very edge of the border.
She blinked sadly, not wanting to feel Dewburst around her any longer..
She didn't deserve his feelings.. Not when she was guilty..
Guilty of liking another cat.]
How can I do this to him? If he likes me, that's all that matters right? But.. I can't get him out of my mind. He's so charming! Uughh, curse that .. Ravenwing for being too charming! Skyeyes thought angrily lashing her tail from side to side.
[Dewburst slid in next to her, getting a mouthful of gray fur.]
"Yuuck! What are you so agitated for? I thought we were having a moment back there.. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait for you to 'find out', huh? Hey, I thought we were going hunting, not patrolling? And Seaclan? They reek!" he mewed with a snort and a flick of his tail.
[Skyeyes flashed him a killing look but caught herself.]
He didn't say anything wrong! What's up with you.. Seaclan too? Could you make it more obvious that you like someone? Skyeyes thought worriedly looking out to the horizon.

I might be easy to fall for...

The silver tom streaked towards the border, too caught up in his plan to notice his snow-white apprentice behind him. Reaching the rushing river that clearly marked the end of BreezeClan territory, he stopped at the water's edge and sat. He didn't know how to catch a fish, but he had an idea of what he might do to get one out of the water.

Saltpaw

Saltpaw followed Jaywing to the river trying her best to keep pace. Slowing down to a trot she looked at the watery death trap, stopping on the bank beside her mentor. She looked down into the water, lowering her head to peer at the water's surface. "How are you going to catch a fish?" she asked.

Gazing at the water's surface, a new face appeared next to his reflection. Startled, as he heard Saltpaw's question, he jumped, as a Twoleg would say, 'out of his fur.' He had been so occupied in his thoughts, that he hadn't heard, seen, or smelled the young she-cat behind him. Calming down, he picked through her words, trying to find a way to answer them. "Well, I suppose it shouldn't be too hard if the bee-brained SeaClan scum can do it. I guess the main concept is just getting it out of the water. If you've got a good grip on the slimy thing, it shouldn't be all that difficult." He was slightly upset with his apprentice, he had hoped for her to stay at camp. But, I guess it wouldn't be too bad if we both caught a fish, then we'd have two fish to lure that beast out.

Saltpaw nodded slightly and unsheathed her claws. Holding her paw over the water, she waited. All she could see in the running water was her reflection. She couldn't see into the water in order to locate a fish. She wondered if perhaps SeaClan cats saw things differently then BreezeClan cats. "I don't see anything..."

He made a quick mental note of what she said. Trying to think of a response, he stared at the water. Finally finding a solution to the problem, he said "Just watch for movement."He looked back up at his apprentice.

Saltpaw

Saltpaw tore her eyes from the water's surface to look at her mentor. She didn't know if she'd be able to spot movement in a running river but she would need to try. "Alright." she said with a nod.

Saltpaw turned her head to look back at the water. She looked up and down a small length of river for a moment, looking for an abnormality or movement. After a small while of waiting, a shadow came rushing down the river. "I think that's one!" she said, lunging with her paw. She felt the pads of her paw graze against the scaly creature but she was unable to get it out of the water, instead it kept going down the river, now in reach of Jaywing.

I might be easy to fall for...

A flash of silver caught his eye, and he sprang forward. Stopping right at the water's edge, he balanced on the tips of his paws. Leaning closer, he dipped his paw into the river, in one fluid motion. The ground beneath him began to crumble, quickly being washed away. His paws slipped from under him, and in an instant, he was soaked, sputtering and gagging, nearly two tree-lengths away from Saltpaw now. His paws were churning uselessly, he only succeeded in tiring himself. Wasting precious energy. He was pulled under, bubbles floating up aound him. Coming back up, he was fighting to stay on the surface. He was yowling in fear, "H-help! Help!"

Saltpaw

"Get it!" Saltpaw shouted, bouncing up and down in excitement. "I th-" she started. She ground beneath Jaywing crumbled and in an instant he was being carried down the river. "Jaywing!" she screeched.

A wave of fear washed over Saltpaw but in a heartbeat she was running down the side of the river, trying to keep up with her mentor. She was neck in neck with him when he went under the water. Her eyes darted across the water's surface, searching for any sign. "Help! Someone help!" she yowled, praying to StarClan that someone would hear. A voice broke the fear and confusion in Saltpaw's mind. Jaywing had surfaced but he was still in trouble.

Racing down the river as fast as she could she was able to pull ahead of Jaywing. She looked along the ground, looking for a good spot. She only knew of one thing she could try. She found a paice of ground where roots were sticking out. She dug her claws of one paw into the roots and leaned as far as she could over the edge. She held her other paw out, claws unsheathed.

Saltpaw felt Jaywing's pelt become caught in her claws and she breathed a sigh of relief. "I've got you!" she said happily. She felt her body become cold when her grip on both Jaywing and the root slip. She herself fell into the river though she was lucky, she was able to grab the bank to keep herself from going under. "Jaywing!"

Saltpaw heaved as hard as she could to pull herself up on the the shore. Her tail was between her legs, her fur soaked and she was shaking furiously. Though that would not stop her, she ran down the bank, glancing at Jaywing as she did, not wanting to loose sight of him. "Tell me what to do!" she begged StarClan.

As hard as Saltpaw may try, she couldn't keep track of her Mentor. She glanced back once again only to discover his head had disappeared. She waited, every muscle in her body tense. She waited for a long time, she refused to acknowledge what had happened. He couldn't be gone, but as she stared out at the water, she knew he was. She dug her claws into the ground, letting her ears lay flat on her head and her tail droop to the ground. She needed to report it. Slowly she turned around, hesitant to go. She padded away, leaving a trail of claw marks as she went along.

"Look!" [a hungry minion pointed out! a look of craving on its face!] "this one is alone! we can eat this one right?" [the eagle said with excitement, practicably bouncing off its perch as it grinned at Talon. Talon could not help but grin back at his blood thirsty underling. With eagerness to kill like this, they would make great assassins.] "go ahead. Just be sure to leave no blood, no trace of her existence. Once you strick she must not escape! kill with the first blow." [With that, the minion lept from it's perch and with the accuracy of an arrow, fell from the sky silently, its shadow hidden in the forests shadow. its claws outstretched inches away from Broken's head.]
