 From the center of the area comes a slow shift in the soil. At first it is nothing more than a slow sucking and grinding noise but soon it grows to a full on thrashing nightmare. The ground pulls towards the center, promising death by debris as the center churns them together! The sides promise no venue to escape. The shifting sands only pull you in with every step you take as they have been placed at the angle of repose. (Any additionally pressure causes the side to slide in) What's more, deep fissures run in a pattern as the soil below seems to erupt all at once with deep planted explosives!

Can you truely see me... Garou Running toward the area were the hokage's office use to be at Garou started thinking about the reconstruction efforts that he was going to have to put into the rebuilding of the village, the rebirth of the leaf in their own eyes and it would have a shining future for it to come but now was the present. Running up to were the hokage's office use to be he looked around the area above to see if he could find any documents that might have surfaced or for any one who was still alive but injured by the attack force that had came to the village, this had to be the second S rank mission that he had ever had but something didn't seem right like it was more then that. Maybe he was getting older and wiser, he didn't douth it because he was still a teenager and he still had a long way to go. in the Midnight Black?

Can you truely see me... Garou Sighing again to himself Garou started digging slightly into the ground to see if he could find anything of interest, after a good while of slightly digging in the pit he found a hand and dug it out from the earth. This was something he had never done before but it was time to see where the guy had come from, placing the dead body on the ground he noticed a lot of different stuff he didn't see until now. The guy in question looked like a soldier from a different village but his studies didn't mention anything about soldier, biting his lip a bit he started to examine the enemy soldiers remains. Pulling out a note pad he took notes about the subject and the wounds dealt to him, placing his palm on the ground he punched it about hoping Raion would hear of feel it so he can resurface to confirm the body was the enemy. in the Midnight Black?

Can you truely see me... Garou Garou stud up finishing up his report on as he walked over to his friend who spoke his name but as he continued walking his eyes widened to the sight he never wanted to see, putting his report into his pack he walked up to his best friend talking about how he wanted to save the leaf village and everyone who valued him. stand next to him he watched as his best friend / brother broke down to the fall of the village and it's leader who was in front of them both, knelling down he placed his hand on his brothers back and rubbed his back a bit telling him he was not the only one who was suffering. walking up to the hokage's body he placed his hand on the old man's neck to check for a pulse and sighed to himself. this made his head ache more painful then before knowing that he was sent to save as much people as he could but it was too late... far too late. " No my brother... You didn't fail, he was gone before your return I'm guessing. As such I'm take the blame for the hokage's fall here today my brother. " garou spoke as tears fell down his cheeks the same as inochi's was at the moment, his nindo was to help save and protect the village no matter what the cost. He failed his nindo and his mission because if the people were not at the hospital or outside the village they were all here, buried underground like this village was the resting place for them all. Garou looked back at his brother in arms who was on the ground angry as hell that he had failed his duties to the village, he spoke to him in a hard but a somewhat calm voice holding in the sadness and the anger that was building inside. " Inochi if you want you can take your anger out on me, but we need to remain focused. The hokage gave up the power to help our village from threats like this, let's use what he gave us to save what remains of it's residents now. " in the Midnight Black?

Can you truely see me... Garou Sighing in pain for a bit he took the time to think about what he was saying and every single point he was making now was the truth, in his mind he was piecing things together as he went down the list. his head ache made it hard for him to focus and concentrated on what was being said, but it all came threw in the end just like he wanted to hear. The Hokage himself went into battle and at the end he lost his life to the enemies, but he was a kind old soul that hid behind a silly puppy that creeped the holy s**t out of him. regardless he was still the leader of the village and a very popular one too. More tears ran down his eyes as the realizing came to pass inside his mind that he may be the only one of his clan left and they were all nice and very kind people, this was too much to handle for him and bottling it was no longer helping him out deep down. In an angry voice garou started talking to his friend. " Shut up... The Hokage was a cool man who deserved to live peacefully on the beach or with animals some where, But life is just a big ball of s**t that ends up like this. Yes we are all similar but the entire world is under the false illusion of the teachings we follow and are made to believe, but your right about one thing... " Pulling out his katana from his sheath he held it tight and firmly in his arm, looking down he placed the blade and the sheath in the hokage's arms as a sign of respect and honor to him. raising up he looked over to inochi and sighed rubbing the back of his neck, it didn't bother him at all because being a medical ninja he seen dead bodies before but garou started to speak. " We need to protect the people who can't protect themselves." in the Midnight Black?

A dropped lit cigarette spiraled though the air. The lazy last breath of embers going quietly. The last fireworks of an old man burned bright as lit ash spilled from the tip onto the ground next to the Hokage's body. The cigarette was lit, but not smoked. An eternal sign of final well-wishing from a dedicated smoker.
"Your right..."
From the distance he stood, Kirabachi had flicked the cigarette between the two of them next to the body of the Hokage.
"If we are to rebuild... we need leaders."
Lightning another so soon was bad for his health... but what the hell...
"Leaders with hearts and minds... leaders the next Hokage can trust."
Shifting the death stick to the other side of his mouth he puffed a small thing trail.
"And I trust my team."

Crystal followed Kirabachi though the remains of the village to the Hokage's office remaining quiet. When she arrived there she stood just a bit behind and to the left of Kirabachi. As she looked past him she saw 2 people standing there, she heard what Kirabachi said 'That must be his team' Crystal thought to herself then looked around at the destruction. She didn't say anything as she couldn't think of anything relevent to say but she was curious as to who would do something like this and why then she remembered the person she had seen leaving the village back when she had arrived at the village quite a few hours ago just before it was destroyed 'I wonder who he was?' She again thought to herself then shifted her attention back to Kirabachi and the other 2 standing nearby listening to anything that might be said however remaining quiet. Crystal had no idea who that person she had seen was but she did remember what he looked like so if she ever did see him again she would recognize him

Can you truely see me... Garou Wiping away the tears that was on his face he decided that it was time to set things straight, looking back over to his sensei for a moment he nodded and looked back down to the hokage's remains. It was a dark day in the village but at least it was now decided between all of them here and now, leaders were needed and being the last remains of the ANBU they were the perfect ones to take up the torch of leadership. in the Midnight Black?

"As of this moment, I am the acting Hokage... I passed the buck to a fictional person at the Kage summit to dissuade any potential assassination attempts... and my position will be confirmed by the Daimyo when the situation allow for it."
Kirbachi seemed like he was accepting a burden he didn't want... which was partially true.
"Seeing as you four are the only ninja I can trust at the moment, you will all be taking advisory roles... Garou, you will be acting as Head Medical ninja. Please assume the role and set up a triage section at the hospital. With luck, there should still be some supplies there. Crystal, you help him."
With a nod he turned to Raion,
"Kagekarasu. You are hereby promoted to chunin. You will be acting head of operations until further notice. You will coordinate with me on dispatching missions and allocating personal as they arrive. I am expecting a large influx of aid from the other villages soon. You will also be responsible for selecting members of a team to hunt down and gather recon on our attackers when this is done."
Turning to Kyo he gave nod,
"The Kages also judged your preform at the exams exemplary. You are promoted to chunin as well. You will be working under Kagekarasu. You will be leading the cell he chooses to gather recon on the enemy force that attacked us. You will, no doubt, be working with ninja from other village on this. Show them that we are still strong.."
Turning to his last student he motioned to Inochi.
"Raion... the next generation will need a strong foundation if the morals you and Garou where talking about are to take root. I want YOU to be the safeguard of that idea- the will of fire. You are hereby promoted to the rank of Jonin. You will be taking over the re-establishment of the academy. Your job will be to set up and run a training facility for ANY ninja. It will be mandatory for ninja to continue their training."
Kirabachi then did something he never did before.... he bowed.
A low, sweeping bow that had his head almost touch the floor. A long moment passed and he finally stood, his long bangs falling back into place.
"You five are the last ninja I can trust in a world gone wrong. We have to grow a kind of strength that no one in this world has ever seen before. That having been said... you will all have additional duties. My team, Garou, Raion, and Kagekarasu. You will function as this village's ANBU until we are able to recruit or recover operatives. Kyo, Crystal. You two will be working as guardians of this village. Never again will something like this happen under our watch. I can monitor the borders... but I will need your help to act on my suspicions.... is that clear?"

Kagekarasu had dropped in on the group just as Kira-sensei had began talking. While he listened, the hard reality set in. His head swam, he had been promoted to Chuunin. This baffled him, as he left the exams without a second thought as son as he was called. Either way this didn't matter as much. He began planning, and processing the information he had. He knew very little about the soon-coming shinobi, but he vowed to himself to work harder, better, faster, and stronger than ever. He was dragged form this thought line as his sensei bowed before them. This took the young ANBU member back but he hid it as usual. As his sensei rose with his final orders, Kagekarasu took a knee and bowed before him. It felt right now more than ever. Before he had been loathe to take any orders, believing himself to be higher than most. But now...things had changed in him. "Clear Lord Hokage" he responded.
