Akasha smiled at Makoto. "That is very wonderful of you. I'm sure you will do great." she said and then turned to get the wax.
"Now tilt your head down please." she said and put some gloves on. She then started to apply the wax artfully(Sp). She applied lots of wax and began to style the hair in a way that fit Makoto best. She tied back and fastened parts of Makoto's hair to keep it is place.
After, she rounded the hair on both sides of her head and on top with a comb and her hand. She used wax to keep the hair in place. She then fixed Makoto's hair in the back. She tied it and put the hair in a bun. She applied the last bit of wax to keep parts in place and finish it off.
"Okay all done." she said taking the gloves off and putting them on the cart with the wax. She removed a mirror from the cart and handded it to Makoto. "Very nice." she said and smiled.

Makoto flinched a bit while her hair was being done, the prices to be paied for beauty, but she smiled not wanting to show her pain. When finished she turned to the mirrior and smiled.
"Oh, its perfect, thank you very much."
She turned to Miharu and smiled.
"Your hair looks wonderful as well Miharu-chan, just like a Meiko."

Kioku finished up the maiko hair, doing the usual tucking about and smoothing out everything. She applied one last coat of oil and wax.

Akasha smiled at Makoto. "I'm glad you like it." she said placing the mirror back on the cart. She then pushed the cart next to the table in front of the chair Makoto was sitting in.

Sayomi bowed in greeting to both Makoto and Nitta as they spoke. She listened to everything, surprised that she would be taken by the haridresser so quickly. Sayomi took a seat in front of the woman, holding her hands nervously. Hot wax?
"Um..yes...I'm ready..."
As the hairdresser combed the wax through her hair, Sayomi cleched her teeth and squeezed her eyes shut. The wax was hot, and held onto her hair. It felt as if all the hair was being ripped from her scalp.
When finally the woman began to finish up, she opened her eyes. She hoped all this pain would be worth it.

'Now, here take a look! You look wonderful.' Yokome grabbed the silver rimmed mirror and let it rest in her palm. The glass shown towards the maiko, showing her reflection. 'I think the pain is always worth the result!'

When she first entered into this salon, she was a maiko with her Onee-sama. Now, Iyasu was walking back into this salon a proud geisha with her own younger sister.
"Koniichwa minna-san! I'm back." She giggled as she entered into the salon, but kept the door open for her apprentience to come in, "With my younger sister."
She smiled warmily to Yokome as she waited for her to enter.

Yokome stepped up into the salon behind her Onee-san. 'Hajimemashite.' She said, keeping her head down and being sure to stay behind her Onee-san. She was feeling quite nervous, she had her many stories from others about the salon. Yokome truly hoped the pain would all be worth it in the end.

Yokome stepped through the open door, took a bow and said, 'Hajimemashite. I'm Yokome. I'm here to get my hair done as a maiko for the first time.'

Akasha walked over to the maiko and geisha. She bowed.
"Konnichiwa, I am Akasha." she said and smiled. "Please come and sit down over here, Yokome-san." she motion the maiko to a chair in the corner.
She then brought the cart over to the chair. "Are you ready?" she asked and smiled as she turned her head towards her.

"Nitta-sama! Oh Nitta-sama, am I presentable now?"Nitta smiled proudly. "Oh, very much so, Sayomi-chan!" Nitta walked slowly around her, taking it all in and admiring the excellent work done. She then turned to the hair-dresser. "Do you happen to have any new hair ornaments in? Something in a bright red, perhaps?"
