Captain Linda

Mission: Fair thee Well, Slowpoke!

Objective: Go to Slowpoke Well and give a Slowpoke to either Bugsy or Kurt.

Rewards: 600 Pokémon Dollars

----------Mission 5: Start!----------

(stuff)
----------Mission 5: Complete----------

Editor's Notes:

Whew, haven't done one of these in a while. That took a bit longer than expected. Hope whoever reads this likes it. Feedback's always appreciated. :3

Fantastic! I definitely enjoyed reading this. In fact, it was tough to find anything that could be improved! Great story, amazing battles, and spotless proofreading all add up to a near-perfect mission.

Just a few things to say: As your Voltorb exploded, it knocked you to your feet?
My original intent was that you use your own pokeball to catch Slowpoke, but I'll overlook that one.
For future reference, please try to include the entire mission brief as it appears in the mission list.
And you jumped the gun with the festival. That's actually a seperate mission! sweatdrop

Still, you did a great job with this. Pass! 800 PD! (Yes, you read that correctly) Rank-up!
Maybe I'm being a bit generous tonight, but this is the kind of mission I love to see.

Whoops, didn't know it was a separate mission. Hmm.... Oh well. I guess I'll fit it in as a month-long festival, with the big opening night being that night, and the final parade as the next mission, or something.

I just caught a mistake of my own: I'm the author, not the editor, so I should be making Author's Notes, not Editor's Notes...

Well, I guess I meant that it knocked Mr. Zero to the ground, but I think at that point, I just wanted to turn the mission in to see how it'd be evaluated. And I'll stop messing up the mission statement.

Thanks for the rank-up! Finally tier 4! It's party time!

Going Out with a Bang

Objective(s): A local terrorist has taken over the Poketch building in Jubilife City. He is threatening to explode his army of Forretress unless he gets his ransom. Sneak into the building and take out the terrorist without setting off the Forretress.

Opponent(s): Terrorist has Numel, Pineco, and Croagunk

Pokemon: Bidoof, Kricketot, Budew, Starly

Rewards: 2,000 PD, Nest Ball

Nick sprang up from his seat on the couch. The TV had announced that a terrorist was holding a man in the Pokétch Building hostage. This was made worse only by the fact that an army of Forretress had been planted strategically within the structure and instructed to Explode at the sight of anyone who might be trying to find free the hostage. So of course, this meant Nick to the rescue! He dashed at the Jubilife teleporter and stepped through in a hurry. Unfortunately, it overshot him and Nick appeared in Route 203.

“Oh boy…” he sighed, beginning the trek towards the city in peril. Nick passed by a Starlly flock, startling them. All but one flew away, the other chased after him. “Go away! I don’t have time!” Nick yelled at it. “Star! Starly!” it nipped at the back of his head. “Ow!” They ran closer and closer and closer to Jubilife until Nick turned around. “I’ve had enough! Hobbes, let’s fry this bird with an Electro Ball!” he tossed out the Joltik.

“Joltik tik tik!” he cried, firing a ball of electricity at the Starly. It took the hit, but barely managed to hang on. It responded with a powerful Wing Attack, knocking Hobbes down to three fourths of its total HP. “Now paralyze it!” he ordered. The Joltik happily complied, a Thunder Wave crashing against the bird. Nick coldly continued to run, leaving the Starly to its fate. However, he heard the cries of Luxio and Shinx, and sighed.

“Away with you!” he ran back, scaring the Pokémon away. “Poké Ball, go!” Nick announced his move, tossing the sphere at Starly. It wobbled once, twice, and three times. It emitted sparks, signaling a capture. He scooped the Poké Ball up, nicknaming it with haste. “Welcome to the team, Ted.” Nick whispered and began running again. Finally in Jubilife City, Nick made his way to the Pokémon Center to heal his team and make a few quick arrangements. “Ben out, Ted in.” he shuffled the Behygem into the Box and pulled out the newly captured Starly.

Nurse Joy quickly serviced Nick, returning her attention to the TV. The anchorwoman continued to talk about how the authorities had tried to reach an agreement with the man holding the building hostage, but he wanted 9 Million PD. “That’s outrageous…” Nurse Joy cried out. “Someone should stop him!” she continued. Before she turned to Nick to ask him for his opinion, he walked out dramatically.

Several minutes later, Nick looked up at the Pokétch Building. A quick examination of the area revealed the building was almost completely barricaded by the Police. Officer Jenny blocked the area off with her two Arcanines and four Growlithe which circled the parameter, making sure no one went into the building. “Looks like this is a no go…” Nick bit his lip. He looked to the right of the building and spotted an apartment complex. “Hmm…”

Nick entered the apartment complex and climbed the stairs, slowly making onto the roof. He observed the crowd below before an idea sparked in his mind. “Wait… Come on out, Ted!” Nick called out his newly captured Starly. “Ted, use Tailwind!” he ordered. “Star!” it nodded, flapping its wings to influence the flow of the wind. Before they knew it, the wind was blowing behind Nick and Ted. “Good job… And now…” Nick jumped up and grabbed Ted’s feet. “Star?!” it asked, extremely confused.

“FLY!” Nick yelled as he made a run for the ledge. They both screamed as he jumped off of it. Ted started flapping its wings faster than ever, trying to suspend both their weight. “Look!” someone in the crowd pointed out the trainer and Pokémon soaring into the building. Officer Jenny quickly grabbed her megaphone and yelled “STAY AWAY FROM THE BUILDING! TURN BACK!” However, it sounded extremely garbled as yelling into megaphones does. Her screams concealed the loud crash of Nick and Ted crashing into the second story glass window.

“Ow…” Nick got up in pain, brushing glass off his clothes. “You all right?” he asked, looking over at the dazed Starly on the floor. “Star…” it cried, getting up and then staggering around. “Forretress?” a Pokémon’s cry came from around the corner. Nick froze in terror and recalled Ted hastily. “Uh oh…” he bit his lip. Remembering his Invisi-Watch, he promptly activated it. Seconds later, a Pokémon bounced into the scene. “Forretress?” it asked, examining the disaster that lay before it.

“....” Nick breathed silently, inching away from the ticking time bomb of a Pokémon. It bounced around the area a little more, trying to find the source of the crash. Finally turning the corner, Nick ran out of cloak. Unfortunately, there was a Forretress nearby, who spotted him. “Oh no… Buddy, come on out! Sleep Powder!” he silently called on his Pokémon, who made a quick and silent motion, spraying Forretress with sleep inducing spores. Before it could draw enough energy to explode or cry for help, Forretress was asleep.

Not wanting to grab the attention of any more of the time bombs, Nick grabbed a piece of glass that had come this far down the hallway and ventured on, taking quiet steps. The elevator to the third floor was a few steps away down the corner, but Nick could see two Fortress standing guard using the shard of glass to spy around the corner. “Hmm…” He looked at his Invisi-Watch cloak, which was still recharging. “Damn…” he sighed, reaching into his bag.

“A few Poké Balls, a foldable Aqua Bike DX, TADS, a Skull fossil, Mechanic and Medic Kits, and a towel… I’m in trouble.” Nick sighed. Suddenly, his brain snapped with an idea. “Come on out, Zero…” he ordered his Totodile out. Before it could happily dance around and give Nick’s location away, he hushed it. “Zero… Go out there with this over your head and scare them…” Nick draped the towel over Zero, who looked like a Halloween Ghost. As Zero walked out, Nick reached into his Medic Kit and pulled out the Bonesaw. He used it as a violin alongside a string for stitches, playing quite a creepy tune.

“Too…. Toooo…” Zero moaned creepily. The Forretress looked at him with annoyed expressions. The music didn’t quite make it creepier, it just made the moment awkwardly stupid. Noticing his plan wasn’t working, Nick’s palm met his face. “You know what… Buddy, just use Sleep Powder on them.” He took the easier route. The Pokémon were teasing Zero, who was still pretending to be a ghost. Buddy sprayed some more spores onto them, knocking one out. The other turned its attention to Nick, alarmed. “Forre!” it cried out, starting to gather energy to explode. Zero leaped away in panic as Nick reached for another Poké Ball. “Go, Coolio!” he called out his Scraggy.

“Fake Out!” he ordered. Coolio nodded and attacked Forretress with a startling attack. The Pokémon flinched, stopping the explosion pending. “Fore!” Nick ran towards the Pokémon and kicked it, attempting to send it flying through the window. Unfortunately, the Steel Type damaged his toe. “AUGH! Coolio, just throw it out of here!” Nick exclaimed. “Scrag!” it nodded, using Hi Jump Kick to send the Pokémon soaring out of the window and off towards the sky. Nick, Buddy, Coolio, and Zero ducked to avoid shards of glass raining upon them. “Thank you…” he sighed, recalling his Scraggy. Pressing the button to call the elevator down, Nick recalled Coolio and sighed deeply, rubbing his poor toe.

When it came down, he entered and awkwardly listened to public domain music that all elevators seem to play. The trio stood there, silently moving side to side to the slow rhythm. “…” Nick sighed; this was taking a while. ‘Ding!’ The Elevator chimed with the signal of it reaching the third floor. A man stood opposite of Nick facing the window. Another man was tied up and unconscious in a chair. “I thought there was something going on when I heard that damned officer yelling about something.” He said without turning to face him.

Nick clenched his fist nervously. “So what do you plan on doing to stop me?” the terrorist turned to face him. His eyes were oddly blank and his expression was cold and uncaring. “… A battle.” Nick answered. “What if I win?” “You blow up the building. If I win, you call off the Forretress and leave the building.” “Hm. It’s not like I won’t win, so I’ll take your pathetic challenge.” The terrorist smiled smugly, reaching for his Poké Balls.

“Go, Numel!”
“Get out there, Zero!” Nick ordered. The Totodile ran from behind him to the battlefield. “Start with a Waterfall!” he started the battle out. “Toto!” Zero cried, ramming into Numel with a powerful water element. “Nuuum!” the Pokémon barely endured the attack. “Magnitude.” The thief aggressed. “Magnitude? You’ll bring the whole building down! Are you crazy?!” Nick yelled nervously. The camel did not think, but did. Suddenly, the building began rumbling.

Buddy and Nick hit the ground, fearing damage. As the building continued to rumble at 7.0 Magnitude, the hostage hit the floor and was awoken. Zero took quite a bit of damage. The crowds below were audibly alarmed, and a huge panic ran through the entire city. Everyone feared the Forretress were exploding, but in reality they were all crushed under rubble. Nick stood up alongside Buddy as pieces of the floor and ceiling collapsed all around them. The executive was still breathing, and he looked at the battle nervously.

“You… Are you an idiot…” Nick breathed heavily, watching the terrorist stand unharmed. “Zero, finish it off with an Aqua Jet!” he commanded. The Numel went down and was quickly recalled by the terrorist. “Go, Pineco.” Nick leaped backwards, hoping this wouldn’t explode. “Bide.” The terrorist calmly continued. “… Zero, Ice Fang!” the Totodile dashed at the pinecone and bit down on it. The Pokémon continued to store the energy it was attacked with, relaxing at fifty percent health.

Nick pointed at the Pineco, hoping to finish it off. “Waterfall!” he exclaimed. Pineco was hit, but somehow still survived. “What?!” Nick exclaimed. “Heh heh.” The terrorist smiled. “Pine…” the Pokémon looked up, revealing a Focus Band tied around its body. “… No…” Nick stepped back. Zero’s eyes widened as the Pineco unleashed the attack, instantly knocking Zero unconscious. “Good job, Zero…” Nick sighed, recalling his Totodile. “… Ted, get in there!” he ordered, calling out his Starly. The bird soared around the room, spotting the hostage looking desperate. It then located its enemy and cried out.

“Explosion.” The Terrorist smiled. “Oh no you don’t! Aerial Ace!” Nick roared. The Pineco started glowing and gathering energy to explode but was promptly stopped by Ted’s Aerial Ace. The attack knocked it out the window, but before it could crash, the Terrorist recalled it. “Hmm. It seems we have come to this… Go, Croagunk.” He tossed a Poké Ball, a frog appearing from with it. It croaked twice and looked at its opponent. “Ted, use Brave Bird! That should knock it down quick!” The Starly soared valiantly at the Croagunk. He crashed against him and did lots of damage. However, Ted was not without recoil.

“Croagunk… Exact your Revenge.” The Terrorist smiled with a devilish grin. Before Ted could back off to a safe distance, Croagunk punched it with twice the power it had been attacked with. Ted dropped to the floor with a weak cry. “Staar…” Nick bit his lip and sighed. “Return, Ted. You did great. It’s your turn, Hobbes!” he tossed the Poké Ball containing Joltik. The small spider leaped around happily for a second. “Gunk.” The toxic frog blankly said as it took a bite of a piece of black sludge, healing itself.

“Hmm…” Nick thought for a second. “Hobbes, use Electroweb!” The Pokémon spun electric web and fired it at the Croagunk. It cried in pain, struggling to get out of the snares of the webbing. “Brick break…” the terrorist said nervously. He started backing away nervously as the battle became bleaker. “Mmmph!” the hostage cried in panic, struggling to get up. Croagunk chopped down at Hobbes, who easily took the attack. Again, it chomped down on its black sludge for healing.

Faster than Nick could notice, the terrorist pressed a button on his watch, setting off a signal. “Finish the job, Hobbes! Electro Ball!” The Joltik quickly fired an electric orb at Croagunk, knocking it out easily. “So it appears you have won. However, being the unruly person that I am, I will still blow up this building. Forretress, EXPLODE!” he yelled, jumping out the window. A Fearow with a leg band flew right under him, catching him as they flew away. “We need to get out of here!” Nick yelled, recalling Buddy and Hobbes.

He ran towards the hostage and tore away his gag. “Sir, we need to run!” Nick broke the duct tape off of him. “There is no time…” the man sighed. “Yes there is!” Nick grabbed him, forcing him up and making a run for the stairs. They both ran down to the second floor and halfway down the first until they noticed something odd. The Forretress weren’t exploding. Numel’s Magnitude had made the weak points the Pokémon were planted collapse and crush them, rendering them incapable of moving, much less exploding. The two still ran down stairs and finally out of the building.

“Thank you… Thank you so much…” the man wheezed to thank Nick. He merely smiled and patted him on the back. “I’m sorry about your building…” he responded. “Oh, no… Don’t worry we can fix that… At least we didn’t explode…” the former hostage smiled. Officer Jenny ran to them as the crowd cheered happily. “Good job!” she smiled, saluting Nick. “However, I cannot tolerate vigilantes… So I think I have to arrest you…” she bit her lip. “Uh oh…” Nick began running away as quickly as possible. Officer Jenny laughed, not chasing the hero down.

In Brian's absence, I'll grade this.

Yes, there is less Sleep Powder spam. That's good. Hope your foot's okay though.

I liked the mission. You spin good stories, and I always look favorably on a good story. The entrances, both to Sinnoh and the Poketch building itself, were amusing. Trying to spook those two Forretress at the elevator with a "ghost" was even more amusing.

As far as your battle with the terrorist, I must fault you for using Revenge when you probably meant Counter. The former move doubles its own power (from 65 to 130) when the user is struck. The latter strikes the opponent for twice the damage the user took. Small oversight, but please be careful about such things. (I'm picky about battles)

Overall, I say it's a pass. 1600 PD and the Nest ball. Enjoy flying around with Starly.

TEMPORARY MISSION (Due by Midnight tomorrow): Requirements: Must have a Munna. Explore your Pokemon's dreams. Check out the house, the various parts of the island, and then play a 3 different games with 3 different dream world Pokemon. Choose one to keep when your Pokemon wakes up. Note: After this mission you can start using Dream World abilities in Pokemon Battles here in Aqua.
Pokemon:
(Snip)

Nick looked around the Dream World he had been sucked into with Sweetie and Luna at his side. “Hmm. This place looks like something out of a movie… Floating islands and whatnot…” he commented, looking around. He then noticed a rainbow connecting the floating island he was on to another one with a forest. There was a small house only a Pokemon could fit into, so he decided not to let himself be bored by that. “So… How about we go somewhere over the rainbow?” Nick couldn’t help but joke. Both his Pokémon stared at him with annoyed expressions. “Fine, fine, fine…” he sighed, starting towards the rainbow.

“Nyan nyan nyan nyan…” he started humming as they stepped onto the beam of light. Luna and Sweetie again shot him dirty looks. “… Harmony, harmony, oh love…” Nick chanted while they neared the middle of the rainbow walkway. Sweetie jumped and smacked him rather harshly. “Fine, I’ll stop!” he yelped, rubbing the bruise the Happiny had left on his cheek. The trio finally entered the island, and looked around for a second. “Nice forest.” Nick pointed out. The cries of Pokémon having fun came from within. Leading his team into the forest of dreams, Nick keenly heard the cry of a Ponyta from within the bushes.

“Why hello there, little girl.” He smiled, approaching the mare. “What’s the matter? Can’t find your friend?” Nick asked the Pokémon, which seemed to be looking around frantically for something or someone. “Pony…” it nodded. “Don’t worry, we’ll help you look for your Pal.” He reassured her. “This would be so much more helpful if we knew what kind of Pokémon your friend was…” Nick murmured as he looked around, Sweetie and Luna assisting him.

“A-ha!” he yelled, grabbing a small, brown, distracted Pokémon. “Is this your friend?” Nick held up a Bidoof, which struggled violently against Nick’s grasp. Ponyta shook her head, and Bidoof bit Nick’s finger, causing him to release the rodent. “Ow!” he exclaimed. Sweetie swiftly proceeded to treat his wound as the brown beaver ran away. “Hmm. Thanks, Sweetie.” He smiled at the Happiny. “Anyway… Let’s keep looking.” Nick sighed, walking around the forest with the mare behind him. Along the way, he picked up a Pikachu, Igglybuff, and Magby. (Which resulted in zapping, napping, and burning)

“Ugh… Is… That… Your friend…” Nick pointed at a Starly on a tree. He had all but lost hope at this point, and wanted to go to sleep. Or wake up? The more he thought about the Dream World, the less he wanted to think about Inception. “Poooony!” Ponyta jumped happily. “Oh, so it is…” Nick sighed in relief. Starly flew down at Ponyta, and they shared a quick dance. “Glad you two are back together again. This is hide and seeks for Pokémon, huh? Wow…” he remarked, leaving the two friends be.

The trio marched deeper into the forest, until they came across a large river that had no mouth and seemed to drop water off into whatever was below in Dream World. He didn’t pay it much attention and instead looked up to spot four spheres floating right above a Wailord, which seemed to fit in the river. The spheres were yellow, orange, cream, and blue. A Piplup, Pikachu, Buizel, and Meowth stood there, angrily shouting at a Doduo. “What’s going on here?” Nick asked, stepping into the argument to calm things down.

Meowth pointed its claw at the cream orb and then to itself. The Wailord spouted water from its blowhole shortly after, and Meowth imitated tossing himself onto the spout, so he could touch the sphere. “Uhh… I don’t get it, but okay.” Nick said, not understanding what was going on. The Doduo only added to the confusion by having its head bicker. “Ugh. Fine, fine. I’ll get you into your… Balls…” Nick sighed, face palming. “Everyone on the Wailord!” he ordered. The Pokémon did as told, and the Wailord started swimming up and down the river, making things difficult.

“Hmm. Okay, on my command! Meowth, you first! Get on top of the blowhole!” he ordered. Meowth nodded and got over the opening. “Wailord! When I command, blow!” Nick continued, watching it swim around the spheres above. “Blow!” The Pokémon spouted water and launched Meowth into a sphere, but the incorrect yellow one. He received a nasty shock and fell back onto Wailord’s back. “… Okay… Buizel, get on his hole! Let’s try this one more time…” Nick winced, watching the other Pokémon tend to the Meowth. “Blow!” Nick ordered, right before Wailord swam under the orange sphere.

The Buizel leaped and touched the orange orb, vanishing into thin air. “Wow… All right, so that’s the trick. Piplup, it’s your turn!” Nick said. The penguin got on the hole and awaited instruction. Doduo watched in awe, it couldn’t even get its job right. The two heads looked down, rather depressed. “Blow!” Nick yelled, watching the Piplup soar into the blue orb and vanish. Repeating the process with Pikachu, he thought his job was almost done until Doduo suddenly sprang up and yelled, startling Wailord into blowing.

The cat was barely recovering from its shock, and it fell flat on the Wailord’s back, in pain again. “MEOWTH!” it screamed. Nick had apparently taught Doduo how to do its job, which inspired it to yell once more, propelling Meowth into the cream orb and vanishing. Afterwards, all the orbs vanished and Doduo jumped happily. It ran at Nick, its heads embracing him in thanks. “Umm… Okay…” he said. “That was weird…” he noted as he used the Wailord as a ferry to get away from the Doduo, who was now greeting new Pokémon who wanted to get tossed into orbs.

“Is this what you guys do for fun?” he asked Luna and Sweetie. “Because this just looks like ma- ICE CREAM.” Nick yelled, spotting an ice cream parlor in the distance. Grabbing his two Pokémon and running, Nick left Doduo behind to play with his new friends. Finally entering the establishment, he approached the counter. “Finally, something that makes sense in this world.” However, those words would bite Nick in the rear after an Octillery gave him a scooper and a hat. It furiously pointed out a Lickitung that looked rather hungry. “Oh no. Don’t tell me I have to feed it…” he sighed, looking the Octillery. It nodded furiously and pushed Nick over to the ice cream bar Lickitung stood in front of.

“… Oh boy.” He said, serving it a single scoop, then trying to eat some of his own. The second after he served the Lickitung, it licked the ice cream clean off the bowl and demanded more. “… Can’t I have ice cream too?” he complained, looking at Octillery. He shot him an angry glare before he continued to serve ice cream for Luna and Sweetie, who happily enjoyed theirs. Nick quickly scooped ice cream and piled it onto Lickitung’s plate, trying to beat its hunger with his hand. Pulling some Cold Stone tricks, Nick managed to start out speeding the Pokémon’s swift tongue.

Finally managing to scoop more ice cream than the Pokémon could eat, Lickitung fell back, unable to eat anymore. “I win…” Nick smiled, his arm in pain. The Octillery approached Lickitung, asking it for pay. The Pokémon shook its head, not having any currency on him. This angered Octillery, who grabbed Nick, Luna, Sweetie, and Lickitung, throwing them out of the ice cream parlor. “AUGH!” Nick yelped, getting up as the Lickitung walked away goofily. He sighed and then looked up, noticing a giant tree nearby. “… Whoa…” Nick gazed up at it, Luna and Sweetie joining him in awe.

The trio moved closer to the tree, wanting to analyze it. After a half hour of walking, Nick and his Pokémon found themselves at the base of the tree, with a giant, gaping hole within. “Hmm.” He said, approaching it. Before he could enter, three bubbles appeared before him. One contained Ponyta, the other Doduo, and the last Lickitung. “Huh… Nick said curiously, approaching the bubbles. He carefully touched the one containing Ponyta, and the world started to fall apart around him.

“Huh? What?!” Nick yelled in confusion as the sky literally began falling. Luna and Sweetie both clung to Nick as the bubble popped, Ponyta emerging from it and getting sucked into a vortex that appeared shortly afterwards. Nick and the Pokémon got sucked into a vortex, and before he knew it, the group was tossed into Nick’s room in the Aqua HQ, the three Pokémon and him landing on the bed. The Ponyta looked at Nick with a blank expression on its face. “That… Was weird…” he said, getting up. He looked down at the floor and spotted a Pink Poké Ball. Ponyta then nudged it over to him and whinnied.

“I guess you want me to catch you?” he asked, grabbing the ball. Ponyta nodded, and Nick complied, tossing the Pink Poké Ball at the mare, capturing it without a fight. “Welcome to the team ,Rainbow Dash.” He smiled. Luna and Sweetie both rolled their eyes.

MISSION- Having a Blast: Rustboro
A bomb has been set in Rustboro City. Your mission is to find and defuse the bomb
(You will run into 2 bomb guys)

Pokemon:
Electrike
Tropius

Funds upon completion: 500
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rex arrived in Rustboro City via teleporter. “Aww Rustboro, the home of Devon Corp.” Rex smiled looking over the city. “Well, time to get to work, now what is my mission again?” Rex wondered, looking at the TADS. “Find a bomb, and defuse it.” Rex read the summary. “Shouldn’t be too hard, just gotta find the bomb.” Rex said to himself. He walked on, looking around at different buildings. “Hmm, if I were a bomb, where would I hide?” He asked himself. Not paying attention, Rex bumped into a skinny, dark clothed man. Rex fell down after impact. “Oww….” He sighed. He looked up at the person he had bumped into.

“What the hell man?” The man said. Rex looked up at the man. He wore a dark blue baseball cap, a dark blue jacket, and jeans. He also wore black sunglasses and carried a sack over his shoulder.

“If I was stupid, I’d say you weren’t one of the bombers, am I right?” Rex interrogated.

“Ergh, looks like you have caught me, Bomey, one of two of the Bomber Brothers!” Bomey smiled. “You won’t get far kid, I will stop you here!”

BATTLE START!

The mass of people also walking the streets scattered in fear. “Go Voltorb!” Bomey yelled. The man threw a Poke Ball in the air, sending out his Poke Ball
Pokemon.

“Voltorb!” Voltorb growled.

“Voltorb, start off with a Charge!” Bomey commanded. Voltorb began gathering spare electricity from anything electronic around it. It gave off a yellow glow, and then suddenly, discharged any extra electricity that it couldn’t use, signaling it was done.

“Go Cyndaquil!” Rex said, sending out his Shiny Cyndaquil.

“Cyndaquil!” Cyndaquil cheered.

“Use a Flamewheel!” Rex commanded. Cyndaquil’s back lit up, and then rolled
up into a ball of flames. It charged at Voltorb, hitting head on, sending Voltorb rolling right into a wall.

“Voltorb, get back here and use Selfdestruct!” Voltorb went right up to Cyndaquil and exploded on impact, causing both Pokemon to faint.

“Woah!” Rex said, getting hit by a bunch of smoke caused by the explosion. “Return Cyndaquil!” He held out the Poke Ball and recalled his Pokemon.

“Ok, let’s go with Electrode!” Bomey smiled. He sent out the much bigger Pokemon.

“Hmm, let’s go Scraggy!” Rex cheered, sending out his Pokemon.

“Scraggy!” Scraggy cried.

“Scraggy, get ready for a Focus Punch!” Rex commanded. Scraggy got ready to launch a punch.

“As much as I would love to stop your attack, Electrode, use a Double Team!” Bomey said. Electrode began multiplying, raising its evasiveness.

“Now, use Focus Punch!” Rex commanded. Scraggy launched itself toward one of the Electrode. Luckily, they hit the right one. Electrode flew back as the copies dissipated.

“Electrode, use Thunderbolt!” Bomey commanded. Electrode sent out a Thunderbolt straight towards Scraggy, who was hit by the attack.

“Scraggy, finish it off with a Head Smash!” Rex yelled. Scraggy’s head glowed with pure power, then it launched itself towards Electrode, upon impact, both Pokemon were fainted. “Scraggy, return, you did great.” He congratulated.

“You’ll pay for this!” Bomey growled, recalling his Pokemon. Bomey ran off, dropping something as he did.

Battle ended.

“What’s this?” Rex wondered. He walked over to the item. It was shaped like a basic cell phone and it showed a map, a red dot blinked up in the corner. “Must be a tracker for the bomb, this should be helpful.” Rex picked up the tracker and headed to a Pokemon Center. He healed his Scraggy and Cyndaquil and then left.

He took out the tracker. “Now, let us see here, the bomb seems to be in….” Rex paused. “An old abandoned building in the center of town, of course.” Rex said sarcastically. He got out his Aqua Bike DX and rode off, occasionally checking the tracker. Once he arrived, Rex took in the size of the building. “This place is huge!”

He put his bike away in his backpack; thank god it could fold up like most bikes. “Let’s get this done!” Rex cheered, heading into the building. The building was cold and damp. “Man, they could have at least cleaned up the place.” He complained. Rex walked into a big room, all that was there was a Pokemon in the middle of the room, obviously agitated. “What’s that?” Rex wondered, getting out his TADS.

“Looks like we found something to capture!” Rex smiled. “Go, Darumaka!”

Battle Start!

“Darumaka, use Fire Punch!” Rex commanded. Luckily, due to Darumaka’s small size, he was faster. Darumaka’s fist lit on fire, and then it charged the massive Pokemon. Darumaka jumped up, and then came down on Tropius. “Yeah!” Rex smiled. The attack had managed to land a critical hit, but the Tropius was still standing.

“Tropius!” Tropius cried out, using Razor Leaf. The Razor Leaf made contact on Darumaka, but did little damage.

“Darumaka, finish it off with an Overheat!” Rex told his Pokemon. Darumaka released a powerful blast of fire, which did massive damage and knocked Tropius over.

“Now, while it’s down, Poke Ball, GO!” Rex threw the Poke Ball. The ball absorbed Tropius and fell to the floor.

Battle ended.

“Yeah! I just caught, a TROPIUS!” Rex smiled. He grabbed the Poke Ball and continued through the room, the second Bomber Brother was probably behind here. Unfortunately, it was true, the second brother stood there in front of the bomb. The Bomb was massive, probably taking up half the room. “Holy crappin’ Jesus!” Rex exclaimed.

“Hahahahaha!” The man laughed, he resembled Bomey, but seemed more threatening and evil. “You will not make it out of here Team Aqua scum! Prepare for battle! You will face me, Boomy!”

BATTLE START!

“Go Heatmor!” Boomy sent out the Anteater Pokemon.

“Go Coprhish!” Rex threw the ball into the air, revealing his Pokemon.

“Corphish.” Corphish greeted it’s opponents.

“Ok Corphish, start off with a Crabhammer!” Rex commanded. He wanted to start off strong against this guy. Corphish charged Heatmor, it’s claw glowing blue. Corphish struck Heatmor in the torso with great power. After the attack, Corphish retreated. Due to Crabhammer’s effect, Rex landed a critical hit.

“Now, Heatmor, use Inferno!” Heatmor sent out an intense flame from its claws furnace-like openings. Corphish was consumed with the flames. The attack itself did not do much damage, but Coprhish was burned.

“Corphish, Rain Dance!” Corphish aimed its claws at the ceiling, releasing an orb of water. Clouds appeared above the battle, and it began raining.

“Heatmor, use Flame Burst!” Boomy commanded. Heatmor sent out a ball of flames from its furnace like claw. The ball of flame flew at Corphish, but just before it hit, Corphish jumped out of the way.

“Corphish….” Corphish panted from the effects of its burn.

“Corphish, finish it off with Surf!” Rex yelled. A wave of water appeared from
under Corphish, carrying it towards Heatmor. The wave crashed on top of Heatmor, fainting it.

“Heatmor, return!” Boomy growled. “Go Rotom!” Boomy threw a Poke Ball, which released the Fire-typed Rotom.

“Overheat!” Boomy told his Rotom. The Rotom opened up its microwave door, sending out an intense blast of pure flame.

Corphish was hit and fainted after being affected by its burn. “Corphish, return!” Rex recalled his Pokemon. “Go Heracross!” Rex threw out the Poke Ball, revealing Heracross.

“Heru!” Heracross cried, preparing for battle.

“Heracross, Night Slash!” Rex commanded. Heracross’s claws glowed black, then slashed at the Rotom. If the Rotom had been in normal form, it would have probably fainted, but unfortunately, Boomy had altered it to Heat Forme.

“Rotom use Thundershock!” Boomy commanded. Rotom did so, but missed.

“Heracross, finish it with a Close Combat!” Heracross came in close and began punching Rotom rapidly, fainting it.

Boomy growled, recalling his Pokemon. “This isn’t the last you’ve seen of me!” Boomy ran out, grumbling angrily.

Battle ended.

Rex recalled his Pokemon, and then approached the bomb. Three minutes left.

Rex began inspecting the control panel. “Hmm, how do we do this…?” Rex looked it over and found a slot the same size as the tracker. “Hmmm…” Rex inserted the tracker. A beep was heard and then the bomb slowly shut down. He had done it. “YEAH!” Rex cheered. He got out his TADS and called HQ. “This is Rex, awaiting teleportation back to HQ, the bomb has been defused.” Rex was teleported back to HQ, where he would submit his report.

Alright, alright, I'll grade it.

Well, there was the battles, which took up most of the mission, and then the short bursts of story. For a level 1 mission, it was good, but consider adding more story. The very begining was drastically short, which then went straight to battle. Also, nice use of the unoriginal names of the two bad guys, having to do with big booms. Also known as explosions, of the bomb variety. Although that's not really important...

One part in the report I'd like to point out is that in the battle with the Tropius, Darumaka used a Fire Punch and then an Overheat. Really? A Fire Punch AND an Overheat? For trying to a) catch the pokemon, and b) said pokemon being a grass type, it seems a bit overkill.

Lastly, it's not a big deal now, but as you do more and more difficult mission (say, perhaps level three? Or maybe level two...), make sure that the tougher trainers has at least one pokemon that covers the team's initial weakness (i.e. if a trainer has a fire-type team, at least one of the enemy pokes could be an electric or grass type to cover water types).

At any rate, it was o.k. mission. PASS. Take 500PD and your new Tropius.
---------------------------------------------------------------

P.S. Perhaps, with Tropius now snug on your roster, you could start flying to places? It isn't neccessary, but it can help add more of a story, help more events occur. At any rate, keep up the good work.

(This grade can be changed or overturned by Tier One at any time)

(I have improved the mission story wise, I didn't want to spend too much time on the battles, although I replace Darumaka's Overheat with a Headbutt, that way it shouldn't be possible for Tropius to faint.)

Rex found a nearby coffee shop. He ordered a Caramel Cappuccino and a piece of carrot cake before sitting down. After about ten minutes, Rex’s order was brought to him. He sipped at his drink occasionally as he ate his cake. He swallowed a bite of the cake. “Man this stuff is good.” Rex smiled. He asked the waitress for another piece.

“Right away sir.” She said.

Rex smiled, sipping more of his drink. He turned his head over to see a man looking over some plans or blueprints. “Why would a man be looking over some blueprints in a public shop?” Rex asked himself. He decided to approach the man. He got up and walked over to him. “Watcha got there?” Rex asked.

The man covered the blueprints with his arms. “Um, n-nothing...” He stuttered.

“Are you a bomber?” Rex interrogated.

“No, why would you think that?” The man asked.

“You have a pin on your jacket that clearly says ‘Unauthorized Bomber’.” Rex sighed.

“Uh oh….” The man growled. He picked up his blueprints and ran out to the streets. Rex ran after him. The streets were bustling with civilians, blocking the bomber’s path.

“Ergh…” The man groaned.

“What is your name?” Rex asked angrily.

“Heheh, my name is Scotty; prepare to fall under my power!” Scotty said cockily.

BATTLE START!

The mass of people also walking the streets scattered in fear. “Go Voltorb!” Scotty yelled. The man threw a Poke Ball in the air, sending out his Poke Ball Pokemon.

“Voltorb!” Voltorb growled.

“Voltorb, start off with a Charge!” Scotty commanded.

Cyndaquil’s back lit up, and then rolled up into a ball of flames.

“Ok, let’s go with Electrode!” Scotty smiled.

“As much as I would love to stop your attack, Electrode, use a Double Team!” Scotty said. Electrode began multiplying, raising its evasiveness.

“Now, use Focus Punch!” Rex commanded. Scraggy launched itself toward one of the Electrode. Luckily, they hit the right one. Electrode flew back as the copies dissipated.

“Electrode, use Thunderbolt!” Scotty commanded.

“You’ll pay for this!” Scotty growled, recalling his Pokemon.

“How may I help you?” Nurse Joy asked happily.

“Can you heal my Cyndaquil and Scraggy?” Rex asked her.

“Of course, just put their Poke Balls on this tray and give it to Blissey.” She instructed. Blissey walked over to Rex with its arms outstretched. Rex put the two Poke Balls on the tray and handed it to Blissey. Rex thanked the nurse and took a seat. As he sat there, he overheard a group of guys talking about a

Tropius being used to protect the head bomber. “Hmm, I might run into it.” He muttered. After his Pokemon were returned to him, he headed out. He took out the tracker. “Now, let us see here, the bomb seems to be in….” Rex paused. “An old abandoned building in the center of town, of course.” Rex said sarcastically. He got out his Aqua Bike DX and rode off, occasionally checking the tracker.

The bike ride involved maneuvering his way around people, Pokemon, and a parade float. “Man, this place is packed today….” Rex sighed. He was tired from maneuvering so much. Once he arrived, Rex took in the size of the building. “This place is huge!” He put his bike away in his backpack; thank god it could fold up like most bikes. “Let’s get this done!” Rex cheered, heading into the building. Well, I guess I'll grade it again.

Skimming over it, this mission is pretty much the same. However, you did change all the places where I made suggestions, so that at least improved the story a bit. You didn't add much more story to it, but that's okay, seeing as you decided to redo and go over it, even when you got the pass. So, this was better. There was one place that a simple looksie-over of the revised mission that you would've easily caught (unless of course you did it on purpose...)

Quote:
She instructed. Blissey walked over to Rex with its arms outstretched. Rex put the two Poke Balls on the tray and handed it to Blissey. Rex thanked the nurse and took a seat. As he sat there, he overheard a group of guys talking about a

Make sure you catch these kind of things. If you did in fact mean to do that, then I recommend an ellipsis... which is this triple dot right there. Maybe then it'd look like:

"A group of guys talking about...

a Tropius".

If that doesn't make sense, I can explain it in the OoC. Though I'm sure it will. Anyways, PASS. Instead of 500, I'll give you 600 for your efforts for revising a mission you didn't have to revise. And the Tropius, of course. Again, be sure to use your new Tropius in future missions. Teleportings a bit easy. Flying to places is fuuuun. That, and you can have unexpected things happen on your way to the destination. That is all.

Cameran Palace is crazy with those Renaissance-Faires man. With their extra ‘e’s everywhere and stuffe. Anyway, one of the big ones is coming up, a Pre-cursor to the Tournament they have to find the true ‘Guardian of Aura.’ There seems to be a Kidnapper on the prowl, assigned to kidnap Queen Ilene. Reward: 500 – 750 PD + 1 AP. And maybe a kiss from Ilene if you’re particularly heroic.

Rex rode on Tropius high above Kanto. “Oh such a nice day…” Rex smiled.
“Tropi!” Tropius cheered. She flapped her large wings, gaining altitude. “The sky is so clear, not one flying-type in sight.” Rex noticed, looking around. “Where are they?” As those words were said, a rough cry of a Pokemon could be heard from behind. Suddenly, a blue shape sped by at impossible speeds, whipping up a whirlwind, causing Tropius to struggle to stay in the air. “What the…?” Rex gasped. He took out his TADS, hoping to find some clue as to what had almost knocked Tropius out of the sky.

Dex Entry:

“Oh what the hell!” Rex growled at the machine. He closed his TADS and signaled for his Pokemon to take them down to the castle. “Tropi!” Tropius smiled, slowly descending. “Where would the Knight Armor be?” Rex wondered. Out of the corner of his eye, Rex saw someone gaining on him, it looked like a Fearow with a rider. “Who?” Rex wondered. “Tropius fire a warning shot.” Rex whispered to his Pokemon. Tropius released a single Razor Leaf towards the follower. Whoever was following him was an expert when it came to Flying-Types, because they easily evaded the shot. Apparently, that’s all it took, because he could hear the wings of the Fearow work to gain altitude. “I wonder…” Rex muttered. Tropius landed on the roof of the castle, next to a window, lucky for Rex, it was the backside, so no one should notice him.

“Thank you Tropius.” Rex smiled and nodded. He recalled his Pokemon and snuck inside the window. When he dropped down into the room, he looked around. The Armory.

“Well isn’t that just dumb luck?” Rex joked. The walls were lined with swords, axes, and suits of armor. In the front-left corner of the room, there was a certain item that Rex could never forget about. The Staff of Sir Aaron…. He walked up to the staff. “It’s been awhile Mister Staff.” Rex said, touching the crystal. The Crystal let off a low humming, creeping Rex out a bit. “Ok, I will leave you alone.” Rex said, holding his hands up. “I’m just here to protect the Queen, be cool.” He slowly walked backwards, away from the staff. He turned to a suit of armor he found that would fit him. After about an hour figuring out how to put it on, Rex finally looked like a cliché knight. “All set.” His muffled voice came from behind the helmet. He took a sword and put it in its sheath. He attached the sheath to his waste and exited the armory, entering the halls of the castle.

He walked into the throne room, where Queen Ilene sat, conversing with her advisors. There was one knight to her left, so naturally, Rex walked up, bowed to her, and then stood to her right. Ilene stood up and turned towards Rex and the other Knight. “Come.” She said. She walked down the room and through a door on the right, Rex and the other Knight right behind. They followed into an outside hallway, to their left, a wall and the rest of the castle, to their left, the open battlefield. The battlefield itself was minimized due to a bunch of food stands and game booths. “This is cool…” Rex whispered.

“Did you say something?” Ilene looked over her shoulder.

“Uh n-no your Majesty.” Rex bowed.

“Oh, ok.” Ilene smiled, turning back around. They arrived at the Queen’s booth above all the festivities. Rex smiled from beneath the helmet. Who would want to ruin this? The Queen sat down in her chair, her advisor stood next to her, their Mime Jr. stood on a small table close by, while Rex and the other knight stood behind them, keeping their guard.

As the festivities continued, Rex noticed the other knight just couldn’t stay still. He shrugged this off as a classic case of ADHD. Suddenly, the other knight pulled out his sword and held it to the Queen’s throat. “What the hell!?” Rex gasped. He was about to go for the knight when he growled. “Stand back, or she’ll get a slit throat, if I’m even that merciful!”

“Nngh…” Rex reached for a Poke Ball, which he had attached to the same belt he had attached the sword sheath to. “Cyndaquil…melt that armor right off him…” Rex whispered, tossing the Poke Ball quietly. Cyndaquil appeared, engulfing the knight in flames, but at an angle that would not hit the Queen. The Knight growled, ripping the melting armor off. Cyndaquil smiled. “Cynda!” It cheered. Even though Rex had seen the guy on the Fearow out of the corner of his eye, he could tell this was the same guy. “Well, look who I’ve found!” Rex smiled.

“Ergh…” The kidnapper growled. He jumped out of the booth, on impact, he did a somersault, catching his fall. “I’ll be back my Queen.” Rex bowed to her. He took off his helmet and jumped down to the battlefield, mimicking the actions of the kidnapper. “You messed with the wrong Aquan!” Rex smiled.

Battle start!

Rex recalled Cyndaquil from up in the Queen’s booth and then sent him back out onto the battlefield. When civilians realized what was happening, they began running off in all directions.

“Go, Magneton!” The kidnapper threw the Poke Ball into the air, revealing his Pokemon.

“Looks like I got the advantage.” Rex smiled.

“Zap Cannon!” His opponent commanded. Magneton generated a strong electric blast in front of its body, then launching it. Cyndaquil however, dodged with ease.

“Is that all you got?” Rex taunted. “Cyndaquil give him an Inferno!” Cyndaquil released a powerful blast of fire, completely engulfing Magneton. By the time the attack was done, Magneton was on the floor. “One down, two to go.” Rex smiled.

“Ergh, Magneton return!” He recalled the Pokemon. “Go Ariados!” The arachnid appeared in front of the kidnapper. “Use Night Shade!” Ariados released a dark power from its body, doing damage to Cyndaquil, almost fainting it.

“Cyndaquil, you may not finish it off, but use a Flame Wheel!” Cyndaquil rolled up into a ball of flames and then struck Ariados head on, dealing a large amount of damage.

“Poison Sting, finish it off!” The Kidnapper yelled. Ariados shot a large amount of the poisonous spines towards Cyndaquil, doing enough damage to faint it.

“Return Cyndaquil!” Rex recalled his Shiny Pokemon. “Go Corphish!” He threw the PokeBall, his crawfish Pokemon appearing. “Use Surf!” Out of nowhere, a wave burst from the ground, Corphish riding on it, washing away all the booths. The wave crashed on top of Ariados, fainting it.

“Ariados, return!” The Kidnapper recalled his Pokemon. “Go Grimer!” A Poke Ball released a puddle of sludge.

“That’s it?” Rex laughed.

“Wait…” The Kidnapper smiled. Suddenly, Grimer popped up out of the formerly lifeless sludge. “Now use Sludge Bomb!” Grimer threw a ball of sludge, headed straight for Coprhish!

“Corphish, use Waterfall!” Corphish was surrounded by water, and then launched itself towards the Sludge Bomb, completely obliterating the sludge, then heading towards Grimer. The attack hit directly, doing some massive damage.

“Grimer, try a AncientPower!” The Kidnapper yelled nervously. Grimer was glowing with white energy; rocks were ripped from the ground, and then hurled towards Corphish.

“Use Su-“Rex was cut off by the impact of the boulders. “Corphish, one more attack, finish it with a Surf!” Rex commanded. Corphish struggled to stand, but did anyway, then summoned another wave of water, crashing down on Grimer, fainting it.

Battle ended.

“You…You won’t get away with this!” The kidnapper growled and then attempted to run.

“Corphish, Surf.” Rex smiled. Corphish summoned another wave, crashing down and knocking over the kidnapper. The guards took hold of the kidnapper, and took him away.

“Oh thank you Rex.” Queen Ilene smiled. Rex turned to see Ilene walking towards him.

“It was nothing really.” Rex smiled.

“Oh no, if it wasn’t for you, who knows what would have happened to me.” She leaned over and kissed Rex on the cheek.

He blushed. “Y-Your welcome.” He stuttered. Rex bowed. “If you ever need anything, just call us up.” He nodded. “Tropius, go!” Tropius appeared before them. Rex jumped on. “Bye everyone!” Rex waved to them, before flying off.

Gosh, am I the only person grading things at this point? I deserve a promotion... justkiddingjustkiddingjustkidding... But enougth of that.

First off, I frankly would've just jumped at the "ADHD" knight despite his throat of slitting the Queen's throat. I mean, he was gonna kidnap her for political power. Killing her would just make him a traitor to the country, or something rather. He's not a very good kidnapper. Aha. Now to the rest of the grade.

At the part where the guy ran away and you chased... I'd've had accomplices, or something, to snatch the Queen and Whack the advisor (just because that's a badguy-esque thing to do) as he ran away with you after him. A perfect diversion. In that case, an empty threat and quick retreat would be perfect. He's a horrible excuse of a kidnapper. Good riddance.

The plotline and story were good. As was the battle. I just wanted to point out that NIght Shade does damage eqqual to the user's level. Your Cyndaquil was supposedly at full health. If both Pokemon were level 100, I'd say your lil' tyke had plenty of HP to spare. Seeing as it worked the other way, it won't be counted against you. Just keep that in mind. (Seismic Toss works the same exact way as Night Shade. Though I'm sure you knew that).

And last, the kiss on the cheek... You were indeed mighty heroic. But in the process destroyed the whole fair with three Surfs. But you were definitely heroic! *enthusiastic sarcasm* No, sarcasm isn't the right word... Oh well.

Anyways, PASS. I'll give you 500 PD and an AP point.

Whoo, a mission of my own! Not having the color button here though made it a pay-hay-haaaiin to make the color text. So. Many. Battles. Anyways, enjoy!

MISSION- Clone Clearout
Must complete Fearow of Water

The word in Lavender Town is that Team Aqua has been moving large amounts of equipment out of the Power Plant. But we don't have an installation there, so it can't be our doing.

I've looked over the legband recovered from the Fearow, and it looks like the work of Team Clone.

Your mission is to get inside the plant and find whatever is left of their operation. Bring back any documents you can get your hands on. Try to go unseen, but you might have to fight anyway. (Fight 0-3 guards with 1-3 Pokémon each)

Pokémon: Any basic stage Electric or Ghost type

Funds: 1000-1800

At that moment, a not-so-loud waterfall crashing powerfully onto rocks emitted from Tommy's pocket, interrupting his speech. Taking his TADS out of his pants pocket and opening the screen, Tommy read the title of the message carefully aloud. "Clone Clearout... Hmm." Tommy scrolled into the message, and read the mission brief. "Oh? The Fearow and the Aqua band? Ah..." Taking no time at all to explain, Tommy pounded down the meatloaf with the pint of milk, and wiped his mouth hastily with a napkin lying on the table. "Sorry, Mems, but I've got a mission to do!" He ran towards a door that led out of the common room to the hallways that connected to the rest of the depths of Aqua HQ. Not explaining either what was up or where he was going, Tommy disappeared out of sight, hollering a short "See ya!" to Memo. At that point, he was gone.

After heading to his room, and the nearest PC, Tommy grabbed his stuff and headed towards the Aqua hatch, dubbed by Tommy for the reason of letting large water vehicles or trainers with surfing Pokémon disappear into the abyss. Tommy called out Daikenki, his Oshiwott, and opened the hatch that led into the space where they would wait for water to flood the hatch. A torrent of icy water surged into the larger space. It soon filled up. "Alrighty then, off we go!" With that, Tommy and Oshiwott raced out of the dry space, though the cold water blocked their forward progress as it filled the tiny space. Soon, they raced to the surface of the wide ocean, and then swiftly to the beach. "Alright, expect to be doing that quite a bit, ya here?" Tommy grinned wildly to poor Daikenki, though the small fifth gen starter seemed to have enjoyed the bout of cold and the rush of excitement. "Return." Tommy zapped Daikenki into his pokeball, and called out Nakura the Flygon. "O.K., buddy ol' pal, onwards! To Cerulean!"

Tommy arrived shortly in Cerulean City, and upon Nakura's landing jumped easily to the ground. Once firmly Earth-bound, Tommy stroked Nakura's neck and patted his head with affection, before returning him to his Pokéball for a nice, long rest from his travels. "Now, I need to get to the Power Plant from here. Where is that?" Tommy pulled out a map of Kanto, and checked where he was in relation to the Power Plant. "It seems... that I have to go through this pass of trainers, and then do some surfing... And that'll put me right at the Power Plant!" Satisfied with his findings, he set off towards a ledge, and climbed up, not seeing that he wasn't allowed to do that, supposedly. Game mechanics don't matter in the real world. He quickly headed East towards Route 9.

Entering Route 9, Tommy came upon a shrub. A shrub so small, one could stop to ponder it's beauty. A shrub so halting, one could not figure out it's mightiness. A shrub so elegant!, that one can only stop to-- "Char, Cut 'er down!" Soon, Tommy continued on his way. "Well, here we are, Route 9. If I remember right..." Tommy mapped out his route to make it the quickest way possible, before setting down the path. Before he could manage to walk another step, however, a Picnicker spotted him easily. Having not seen her, Tommy jumped, not bothering to keep his cool. A harbinger of things to come at the Power Plant. Well, hopefully not. "You look strong, but I've already beat Misty too! Let's see who's stronger!" she said, as most trainers after a successful gym challenge did. "Let's go, Oddish!"

"Okay, how about a little chameleon action! Char, you're in!" Tommy shouted back, eager for the easy-yet-still-exhilarating fight in the world of Pokémon. The Charmeleon breathed fire, and stood at the ready. Most battles not involving Aqua still excited him greatly; bad guys are bad and all, but fighting a total stranger not out to ruin or kill you is really somethi-- "Flamethrower!" The Oddish went down.

"Bellsprout!" she called out.

"Flamethrower?" Tommy called for the fiery move once again. Same result, Bellsprout eating the ground, the fire overwhelming the small grass-type with ease.

"Oddish!"

"Oh, bother it all..." And so, Tommy beckoned a Flamethrower twice more on a second Oddish and Bellsprout to take the win. Tommy declined compensation for his win. "I'll be fine. Give it to the next guy who wins. G'bye!" Tommy left the distraught Picnicker with a sigh; his burning enthusiasm had died down to a smolder (No? Fine, enough with the fire puns). After a bit more winding through rock barriers and several ledges, Tommy failed to notice the inconspicuous man standing right in his path. "I hope..." Tommy prayed for a more, erm, intense battle.

"My bug Pokémon are awesome, you should get some too!" The battle started, Tommy's vision briefly obscured by a weird illusion where his sight split into strips and parted in different directions in an alternating pattern.

"I hope he has something challenging, like Beedrills," Tommy hoped.
"Go, my beloved bug Pokémon!" A Caterpie appeared.
"Bloo'y hell!" the Aquan cursed silently in his best British accent.

Tommy sent out Sealeo, who barked madly at the small caterpillar. "This should be interesting... " Tommy yawned. "Ice Shard." The Caterpie was knocked out by the swift, sharp shard of ice that careened into it super effectively. A Weedle was sent out with less enthusiasm. "Ice Ball," Tommy commanded. Two Ice Balls was enough to finish off the stinging Pokémon.

"Alright, Venonat! I choose you!"
"Oh, grand. ANOTHER bug type."
"Hey now, that's not very nice! You take that back!"
"Do your worse," Tommy said indifferently.

"Echoed Voice!" "Hypnosis!" The two trainers sung against each other. Sealeo, being the faster of the two, used a weird vocal call that stunned and hurt the poor Venonat, practically halting it. It hung on, and remembered it's duty, putting Sealeo to sleep. "Oh nooooo, not goooood," Tommy yawned sarcastically. Sealeo was known by Tommy's team as the worst snorer, and was forced to sleep in its Pokéball to avoid knocking out everybody within minutes. A savage snore escaped Sealeo's foul nostrils, mouth, and throat, which slammed into the already weakened gnat, sending it into a fit of agony one gains when knocked out by the Snore of a Pokémon. Shivering himself, the Bug Catcher tried to hand Tommy a small parcel of money. "Keep it." Tommy walked away with a groan. He wanted to get to the Power Plant without a single other battle.

Sorry, try again. "Oh, yoooohoooo. Trainer! I want to battle!" Tommy growled, which put the lass off. It was yet another Picnicker. "A battle, perhaps?" She spoke shakily, sending out a Meowth.

"Oh? A Meowth? This might be fun." Tommy grinned to himself, ready for a fight where type match ups wouldn't matter. "Are you ready, Miss?" He asked her, trying to be quite the gentleman. Seeing that Tommy was being less hostile, the lass' mood lightened, and became less defensive and shy. Tommy apologized in silence for his earlier behavior, and the battle began more-or-less on more friendly terms, both trainers now smiling, ready for a passionate battle.

"I'll just choose at random, then..." Tommy grinned once more at the girl he was to battle, though it was more of a lighthearted, lazy grin. The picnicker giggled slightly. "Annnnnnnnd... Go!" Tommy sent the Pokéball flying. On impact with the ground, the ball jumped into the air, and then opened. Left behind as the ball returned to Tommy's hand was a tiny, levitating fish named... "Alrighty, Gilligan! Let's begin!"

Not yet clear who was faster, Meowth landed a sneaky Fake Out attack, efficiently and effectively startling the small electric... whatever it is... enough to make it flinch. "Ok, love, use a nice Fury Swipes!" the lass called out in humor. The kitty cat effectively scored a critical hit, and landed three consecutive blows, on poor Gilligan, knocking it down to about half of its initial fighting strength.

"Mm, Thunder Wave!" Tommy shouted, delighted with how the battle was going. A weak electrical pulse, not easily sensed, shot towards the already close Meowth. Meowth suddenly froze up in a state of paralysis. "Ha! Now, while the chance is still there, use a Charge Beam!" Tynamo did its best, charging up a strong electrical attack, before letting it out in a beam of sparks, light, and power, shooting at the rooted Meowth. The attack hit home. This boosted Gillian's ego, raising her special attack.

"Meowth, Captivate!" The female Meowth tried lowering Gill's special attack back down to size, but was largely ineffective due to being the same gender. Not waiting for orders, Gilligan shot another Charge Beam at the foe, doing greater damage yet! But Meowth did not go down. She shot her golden coins at Tynamo, scattering loose money around the floor and hurting Gill ever so slightly.

"Spark!" "If you can, Hun, Night Slash!" Both shouted gleefully, Tommy cringing at the attack about to be used, the lass not so much. Meowth came in for a crushing blow despite the paralysis, and managed to score a hit before being blasted backward by the instantaneous discharge of any spare electricity generated by moving forward at a not-so-blinding speed. Both Pokémon were at their limits.

"Tackle?" Tommy suggested weakly, scratching his head. The fish swum through the air like a fish in water, and landed to land a solid blow that brought the poor she-cat do her side, on the ground, unconscious. The battle had ended, Tommy actually slightly winded from the lower leveled battle.

"Well, that was mighty fun!" Tommy shouted with joy, not glad he'd won, but that he'd had such a great time doing it.
"Mighty fun?" the lass teased.
"Oh, quiet, you," Tommy shushed her, laughing slightly with his finger to his mouth.
"And why should I?" she smiled. Tommy smiled back, and their eyes met.

"I... uh... erm..."
"Yes?"
"I... Ah, I didn't m-mention my name. My name, is... Tommy. I'm... really g-glad to have met you. C-can I have your name by ch-chance?" Tommy stuttered bashfully, ever hopeful.
"My name?"
"Y-yes."
"My name... My name... I'll tell you what. I'll probably be here, challenging passer-by trainers. We get funded by the Pokémon League to just stand around, and to heal our Pokémon completely. Meaning, I'll probably still be here if you, you know..."
"Know what?" Tommy, oblivious as ever.
"If you pass through here again..."

Tommy picked up the scattered PD that the Meowth had fired off, and laid next to the sleeping cat, purring faintly but surely enough. Tommy gathered his stuff about him, and set off, waving back toward the stationary lass. He remembered something. "Can I at least get your number, to, um, be able to reach you? Just in case?" Tommy excused weakly. She responded, "You can get that next time as well, Mr. Tommy. Good luck on your current affairs and future endeavors!" Tommy called a farewell once more, and set out towards Route 10, and the Power Plant.

"She wouldn't even give her name... What's with her?" Tommy whined, his free, happy front seemingly falling away. "Let alone her number... though I guess that bit's not a necessity, I suppose... Still..." Tommy walked sullenly into Route 10. At that point, he didn't want to bother Oshiwott for a surf, and headed down to the single stone that blocked the way. "Odd... dunno why people don't do this more often..." Tommy jumped, and missed his mark, falling back on to his butt. Standing up, he jumped again, barely catching a notch at the top of the stone with his hands, and hoisted his 140 lbs. up the seven foot high stone pillar. "There, all done, love. Cup of tea?" he sung to himself. He looked down the row of stone pillars, and felt an intense urge to have fun on the pillars instead of completing the mission at hand. He fought off the impulse with difficulty, and jumped down feet first to the ground on the other side, not attempting to make a roll. A jarring feeling crept up the trainer's spine upon landing, but he shook off the feeling with ease. He preferred landing like that; more than rolling, anyways. He plodded along southward until he came to a clearing that went suddenly West. In sight now was the Power Plant. And a single guard, on the outside, guarding the entrance.

"Halt, who goes the--" The guard gasped mid-sentence. "Captain Thomas, sir!"
"Thomas? Erm, yes, you better know who I am. Who might you be?"
"I'm just a lowly peon, freshly promoted, but..."
"Speak."
"Peon Joe, sir."

There was no mistaking it. Tommy realized that this was the clone of his fellow teammate, Jonas, back at Aqua. How do they clone our people so fast? Tommy wondered.

"At ease. Stand by."
The guard started scratching his head, noticing an anomaly in "Captain Thomas'" appearance. "Sir, why are you not in your usual clothes? You always wear them."
Ah, think fast-- "They're my casual wear."
"But where's the Cloned Aqua insignia?"
"You FOOL." Tommy spat with vehemence, mimicking Excalibur from the anime Soul Eater. "You know nothing of my clone, apparently... I'm trying to BE him, you moron. He doesn't wear the Aqua symbol. I shall copy him. FOOL. I do so, so that I can CRUSH him when I do meet him. And I AM sure, that I will meet him. Move, or face my wrath."
"But sir, you just sai--"
"FOOL."
"Well they said you'd be coming today..."
"Well, I'm here. MOVE."

Tommy's speech as Captain Thomas must have fooled the poor guard. However, Peon Joe's knees were shaking terribly, and could not move. "I've brought only my weaker Pokémon today... I shall test you! Prepare!" Tommy spat with pseudo-anger, readying a Pokéball to throw at the unfortunate sentry.

Peon Joe would like to battle!
Peon Joe sent out Totodile!
Go, Daikenki!

"What? What's that??" Joe stared, pointing at Tommy's Oshawott.
"Well, it's an Oshawott, of course. Now, use--"
"You've already been to Unova, Captain??"
"Well, er, of course. Can't let Aqua have all the fun, can we?"
" I haven't been there yet..." Peon Joe moped around a bit.

Totodile, on some sort of self-timer, went ahead without an order to land a clean Bite on Daikenki. Oshawott took the close range to his advantage, though still latched on to, to strike back suddenly with a strong X-Scissor attack, scoring an easy critical hit.

"Alright, Totodile, use Crunch!"
"Revenge!"
"Oh, dear Lord..."

Meanwhile, a big, strapping man with a load of boxes came out of the entrance and quietly walked around the battle area. Tommy made a quick mental note of that fact, and turned back to an already-decided battle.

Totodile landed a solid Crunch attack on Daikenki, only to feel the bitter Revenge of a bitten Sea Otter. The Totodile flew about ten feet into the air, and about ten yards in the horizontal direction that was backwards. Totodile was utterly defeated.

"Aww... I lost... Say, I have this guy who's been giving me an earful lately... something about being a lousy guard. Think you can whip him in to shape for me?"
"Hmm? And who might that be?" Tommy asked, slightly bemused.
"Oh, he'll be coming to take over my post. Give him a good battle-styled whippin' for me. Oh, here he comes. Adios!" With that, Clone Peon Joe skedaddled away from the front entrance of the Power Plant to who knows where. Tommy noted the escape pad laid out next to the entrance.
"Better not step on that..." Tommy warned himself. Only bad things could happen by going in to the laid out escape pad. Probably another of Team Clones base-of-operations.

"JOE! JOE!... He's not here... That lousy son of a--"
"Excuse me, Scout, were you looking for a yea-high man wearing a blue-outfit with the--"
"And who are you? You have some messing around to do with Team Clone, eh? Heck, you're the spitting image of Captain Thomas!" He grunted, irritant.
That was odd... Tommy yawned to himself. "And?"
"...What's your name...?"
"Thomas." Tommy replied with a cool head.
"It's a coincidence. I report to Captain Thomas. He has a green spec in his eye, and--"
" You mean like this?" Tommy asked, pointing to his right eye.
"...no... in his left eye. That means you must be... CODE ORANGE, WE HAVE THE REAL MR. GIOR--... crap, I'm the only one left... besides those idiotic movers..." Ryu growled. He reminded him of a certain Kai Kaze back at Aqua. Had to be the clone of said Aquan.

"Alright, then, how about a battle? I win, you come with me. You win, do your worst. Though I doubt you'll win..." Ryu raged savagely at Tommy, spit flying everywhere like froth of a rabid Bull Dog.
"We'll see about that." Tommy said, wiping spit from his eyes very slowly.
"Oops. Well, take this!"
"Righto."

Ryu sent out his Pokémon, a feisty Charmeleon. Tommy sent out Megaruko, his Sandile.

"Interesting... A Unova native... Charmeleon, Flamethrower!"
"Take the hit, then go for an easy knock out!"
"What!?"

A Flamethrower was issued, Sandile prepared to take the non-threatening blast. Sandile then leaped about four feet off of the ground, and slammed down, causing an Earthquake to knock Tommy and Ryu off of their feet, and to somehow cause the earth to erupt right under the Fire-type, sending it flying into a daze, knocked out with ease, as one might see in the Pokemon Stadium game for the N64. The Moxie ability raised Mega's attack power.

"Tsk. Alright, face my strongest Pokémon! Come on out, my starter, SHARPEDO!! BWA HA HAH HA HAAAAA!" Ryu shouted in to the air as loud as he could, though not really directed at Tommy as expected. This creeped Tommy out. Sharpedo, being much faster, went in for a Crunch attack, unknowing of the alien Pokémon's type.

"Mega, don't be fooled! Use a Stone Edge instead!"

Megaruko instantly created several sharp, jagged stones around her, and rushed at the retreating Sharpedo, smashing these lethal stones into her gills. It was yet another critical hit, though the Shark did not go down. Sharpedo, not waiting around for orders, let loose a pained Hydro Pump. Taken by surprise, Mega instantly fell in battle from the crushing torrent of water.

"HA."
"Don't push your luck, kid."

Tommy sent out Flygon, his strongest Pokémon on hand, to deal the final blow.

"BLIZZARD." Ryu commanded.
"Oh, crap. Nakura, avoid, avoid, avoid! Draco Meteor!" Tommy urged.

The Flygon buzzed around for a few seconds before creating a hollow underground to escape, barely beating the Blizzard in a race of time. Suddenly, giant meteors ablaze in dragon's breath rained mightily down in to the area. While several crashed just around a swimming Sharpedo, trying to avoid being hit, one landed spot on it, and it was instantly knocked out. Meanwhile, one crashed just near Ryu, the shockwave causing him to fly backwards head-first in to the buildings front wall. Like his beloved starter, he too was out cold. Tommy bound, gagged, and left him outside of the building on the side of the building.

"Phew!" Tommy breathed a sigh of relief as he entered the Power Plant with ease, now nobody left to guard the place. "Relatively simple enough, I should think." Tommy chimed pleasantly as he emerged in to a room full of heavy lifters meant to move all of the remaining junk from Clone operations in the Plant. There was a single box left, and one was struggling to lift two at once. Tommy stepped in to help.

"Would you like me to get that for you?" Tommy offered the strained man.
"Oh? Thank you, sir. Who might you be again? Can I see some identification?"
Tommy fumbled within his coat pockets. "Might this be enough?" he inquired, holding out the Clone leg band from the rogue Fearow incident.
"Eh, close enough. If you'd get that, that'd be a real help. I'll be off, then."

In a single file, all of the men left with a heavy box in hand, leaving just Tommy, a single box full of papers and other junk, and an empty Power Plant. Tommy rummaged diligently through the box's contents, afraid one might come back to check up on the empty base one last time. "Food Recipes, name tags, useless what not... All complete rubbish! Oh?" Tommy had all but given up, until noticing a packet of papers, some of them blueprints by chance, scattered over the bottom of the box. "Oh, I just hate these too-good-to-be-true situations... It's just too lucky. Not cool." Tommy refused to do anything more. And then quickly changed his mind, put the papers needed in a nice stack, and hid them inside his coat pocket. Putting everything back into the box, and closing it with ever-handy duck tape, Tommy had Charmeleon carry the box for him outside to the escape pad, where he pushed the box forcefully in to it with the unconscious Ryu in tow.

"Char, come back. Nakura, let's get out of here!" Tommy called out his beloved dragon once more, and they hightailed it back to HQ. "I'm bushed..." Tommy muttered sleepily from his mini-adventure, where he crept in at the dead of night, Nakura returned to its Pokéball, where he slid the mission report written on the way back to the base on Aquos in to the mission-to-be-graded box on the mission room door in the hallway on the way to his room. Once to his room, he fell sound asleep, mentally reminding himself to heal his Pokémon when he awoke.

--MEANWHILE--

Captain Thomas of Team Clone appeared through the teleporter connected to the Power Plant after being called to find his subordinate knocked out, next to a box labeled TOP SECRET. The movers had been sacked. He inspected the inside of the Power Plant, looking for any sign of the culprit behind the vicious-yet-fair act. He found nothing... except for one strand of black hair. He plucked one of his own to compare, scratching his head while observing the two. It seemed he knew who'd done it.

Peon Joe, sadly, had been demoted back down to Clone Grunt for believing an imposter Thomas to be the real deal. Even though technically Tommy is the real thing, while Captain Thomas is the clone. Wait, does that even make sense!? We sure hope so.

It had been a long time since Nick dealt with Team Clone. He had almost forgotten about his sinister clone, which remained mute the entire time they were battling. After a few months of doing other missions and training, Nick finally received word from the higher ups. Team Clone was at it again, and this time they were located in Lavender Town. It also appeared they were moving parts of the Power Plant, where they last were spotted. “Weird…” Nick noted, reading through the mission briefing on his TADS. “Well, I guess I need to stop their plans again. Come on, Zero!” he called over his Totodile, who was eating a raw steak at the kitchen.

Nick made sure his team was prepared, feeling around in his pocket for his extra Poke Balls and making sure his Invisi-Watch worked. “Alright, everything is ready to go.” He smiled, approaching the Lavender teleporter. He stepped through and emerged into the gloomiest town he had ever seen. The people had a sulk in their step and a dark, sullen emptiness in their eyes. “My my. How drab.” Nick noted, walking around. With a quick gesture, he removed the Team Aqua bandana to not draw any attention until he got into the Team Clone hideout.

His attention turned to the tower that pierced the sky behind Nick. Until that second, he thought it had been the Rock Tunnel casting it, but the haunted tower was the culprit. “Wow. That’s rather creepy.” Nick said, looking down at Zero. “To…” it mumbled, a little afraid of the building. Feeling a little chilly, the duo sped up to avoid the creepy aura of it. “Hey, Nick! Get over here!” a familiar voice rang out. “… Ginji?” Nick said to himself, turning to his right.

Indeed, it was Ginji. Something was off, though… Without a word, Nick approached the suspicious character and nodded. “I thought you were stationed at the Power Plant. Oh well, we’re about to get out of here, anyway.” He shrugged, turning to face a truck. Finally, Nick noticed what was wrong. On the rear of his Captain’s Jacket, there was a ‘C’ within the ‘A’ of Team Aqua. ‘He’s a Clone…’ Nick bit his lip, taking caution not to make noise. The Ginji clone walked around the truck to scold Itaku and Rex, who were goofing around in the front.

“Cut it out, you two. We need to get these parts to home base.” Ginji scolded them. Just then, a Lucario holding a large machine walked in front of Nick and placed it inside the truck, then shut the door. “Hello, Nick. Captain Ginji.” It said. “At ease, Shaydas. Would you like to go with them to home base or take the teleporter?” Ginji asked. “…” Shaydas shot Nick a long, piercing glare, making him nervous. “… I think I’ll stay in here a little longer.” He glared before turning around and entering the small building. “Alright, Nick. Since you left your station, I want you to go inside and help Tommy with some paperwork. Got it?” Ginji ordered. Not expecting an answer, Ginji walked back up to the front of the truck and ordered Rex and Itaku to go. The truck started, and they drove off. “See you at home base!” Ginji waved before disappearing into a puff of smoke.

“Totodile?” Zero asked his owner. Not wanting to give away his identity, Nick nodded silently and recalled him to avoid him causing distractions. He turned to open the door and opened it, peering in. The building was messy, lots of papers on the floor and machines beeping. Opening the door a little wider, Nick took a few steps in, hearing someone walking around. Not saying a word, he neared the noise. Sneakily, he peered into the room. Tommy; or the Tommy clone was running around grabbing papers and removing Flash Drives from computers.

“Nick! Get over here, I need you to take these papers to the shredder. Its over by the copy room.” Tommy ordered, grabbing several files labeled ‘OPERATION EVOLUTION.’ “We don’t want to leave a paper trail, do we?” he chuckled as he handed them to him. Nick turned around and headed for the coldest room in the building. He looked around to make sure no one was looking, and then tucked the files into his jacket. Without a word, he returned to Tommy. In a quick motion, he took two flash drives from a nearby computer and stuffed them in his pocket.

“Done already? Good job, Nick. Now do me a favor, take this to the Incinerator in the basement. Then you’re free to go.” Tommy smiled pleasantly, handing Nick a rather heavy box full of papers, files, and discs. Even though they were malicious, they were still rather pleasant people. Tommy and Ginji were probably even friendlier as Clones than the real ones. After nodding in understandment, Nick headed off to the Incinerator. Along the way, Nick noticed Shaydas clone was sitting on the stairs to the second floor. “Hello, Nick.” He said in a serious tone.

Nick nervously nodded, continuing on his way. “So why did you leave your station?” he asked rather aggressively. Almost responding, Nick bit his lip and nodded silently again. “Would it kill you to talk for once?” Shaydas pressed. Not wanting to talk to him, he sped up. “Nick, stop being so rude. I am talking to you.” the Lucario continued in a growingly annoyed tone. They finally reached the door to the basement, and Shaydas was steaming. Nick tried to open the door, but a paw suddenly stopped him. Shaydas’ eyes suddenly glowed a threatening blue. “… You’re not Nick… You’re not Nick!” he exclaimed, jumping backwards; already charging an Aura Sphere.

“Damn it!” Nick yelled, dropping his box and reaching for his wrist. His Invisi-Watch was activated, and he quickly ran behind Shaydas, who fired the Aura Sphere at the door. A molten hole was all that was left from impact. “Grr… You think I can’t find you just because you’re invisible?” Shaydas roared, assuming a meditation pose. His aura powers were activated, and immediately spotted Nick behind him. As he turned to fight him, he was met with a punch to the face. Nick’s fist swelled in pain, and he too let out a cry after punching the partial Steel type.

“G-Go, Ted!” Nick exclaimed as he became visible. “Star Starly!” the Pokemon cried, flapping its wings. Shaydas began getting up, ready to fight. “Ted, use Brave Bird!” he ordered. The little bird chirped and soared into the Lucario, knocking him back and dealing massive damage. Unfortunately he fell on top of the box, cracking a few discs and making papers burst out. Shaydas roared loudly, getting angrier. Nick was getting more and more nervous; he was sure Tommy could best him in battle. After all, he was an Admin, and this battle was getting more and more out of hand.

Shaydas stood up, a Vacuum Wave blasting Ted and the box; papers rained everywhere and discs were tossed all around. The Starly fell to the floor, unconscious. “Good job, Ted. Coolio, Hi Jump Kick!” Nick recalled Ted and called out his Scraggy, plotting to knock Shaydas down the stairs and run with whatever he could manage to grab. “Scraggy!” Coolio yelped, soaring right above Shaydas and into the basement door. He took minor damage, and the door was completely knocked off its hinges. ‘That works too.’ Nick thought, bracing himself for counter attack.

“That’s pathetic.” Shaydas said mockingly. He lifted his paw and fired a Focus Blast, which narrowly missed and soared into the basement, into the Incinerator. Seconds later, there was an explosion, and the fire spread. “Coolio, use Hi Jump Kick!” Nick ordered once more. The Scraggy nodded and jumped in front of Shaydas, then kicked him square in the chest, down the stairs. “Hnggh!” he cried in pain, hitting every step on the way down; eventually landing in the inferno.

“Return!” Nick recalled Coolio. He then looked down in horror to what he had done, watching his friend lie unconscious in the fire. “… He’s a clone… He’s a clone…” Nick reassured himself, picking up a disk reading ‘UPGRADE’. Finally, the sprinklers went off, and he breathed a sigh of relief as he saw the fire being put out. “Nick? Shaydas? What are you guys doing back there? Having a practice battle?” Tommy’s voice came from behind Nick.

“I need to get out of here…” he said, grabbing a few files and making a mad dash for the exit. The UPGRADE disk was rather interesting to Nick, he was curious why Team Clone had it, but he was sure it was of key importance. “Nick!” Tommy approached him, walking out of the room. “What’s happened?” he asked. Without answering, Nick kept on running, clutching the files, disks, and Flash Drives in his coat and pocket. “Nick? Get back here that is an order!” Tommy yelled, not moving. Before Tommy could say one more thing, Nick dashed out the door, covered in water and smelling like smoke.

He ran into the town square, causing a commotion. “NICK! GET BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!” Tommy roared loudly as he broke through a house using Swampert. Nick finally reached the Teleporter; completely out of breath. “STOP HM!” Tommy yelled. The second Nick vanished back into the Team Aqua HQ, the teleporter exploded from a particularily strong Mud Shot.

First thing's first: Oshawott, Flygon, Charmeleon, Sealeo, Tynamo, Sandile. Good! Only six Pokemon were used. Moving on.

I liked the segue from what you were doing that night into the mission report. Overall, the story was quite good. Not very stealthy though.

In the battles, I caught a few mistakes. Ice Shard is not supereffective on Caterpie, so that shouldn't be a one-shot take down. Ice Ball will also continue on its own until it misses once, hits five times, or the user is switched out. Knocking out the foe doesn't stop the attack. I was also concerned about your rapid victory over the first Picnicker, but you had enough other battles to make up for it.

A few minor flaws, but otherwise great. Pass, get 1500 PD.
