Kat chuckled, "You're not an adult yet Sam. But sorry, Adam, you'll need to chill here. Hang out with Marcus or something." Kat gave Sam a nudge and started heading for the door. "Come on, Kido. Adventure awaits."

The docks looked a dreary mood today. Many of the familiar small fishing boats that often remained tied in harbor around this time were out to sea. There was a rumor something was driving fish in towards the Eva. It was probably a smack of jellyfish. When those things clump together some fish get smart and hightail it. Jay didn't seem all to worried about being lonely, though. He was stretched out across his hand-made hammock staring out into the harbor.
With all the familiar ships gone, he was out of work for the day. This only gave him time to be lazy and practice his new skill. One arm hung loosely over the netted bed while the hand swung in the opposite direction of his swing. As each new wave came rolling in, he'd breath in, pulling in the wind around him, and himself towards the wind. Upon hearing the crash, he'd exhale, and swing his hand back towards the water beckoning the wind to push him towards it. It was a simple little routine, but it gave him a feeling of control. Slow day he thought to himself. I don't think I like slow days.

MArcus shouted for Kat to wait a moment, tossing her the keys to his SUV. "Lets you do things on your time, not the bus'. And, as we're trying to stay hidden, using public transit may not be the best idea. Just try to bring it back intact, please?"
"Alright, Olivia... What makes your powers work? You can levitate things, but, what makes that happen?"

Out in the ocean what seemed to be a small pale object bobbed around with the waves, rolling with them, through them, and finally after a bit of time it began following the wave's path to the surface. As it got closer it became clear that it wasn't such a small object, but definitely pale, deathly pale. As the soft waves rolled in, the body rolled in with them before being gently laid out by the water onto the wet sand, the waves pulling back as if leaving a gift on someone's doorstep.

She gave the rest of them a quick salute before heading out the door and towards the SUV. "Amazes me that a man will hand me the keys to his car like that. Didn't even have to kiss him, huh."

As the soft waves rolled in, the body rolled in with them before being gently laid out by the water onto the wet sand, the waves pulling back as if leaving a gift on someone's doorstep.
Time seemed to drift by slowly. The sound of the waves lapping around the pier pillions was sharp against the usually relaxing roar of the waves. It was that sharp splash of contrast that kept the boy awake even as he fought his of awareness. Jay was mentally begging for sleep. He gave himself one last push before allowing the hammock to swing freely on it's own. The slowly shortening rocking gave him that welcoming feeling of being in a cradle again, and he soon found his eyes start to heavy. Sleep would take him soon.
Or so he thought.
Fading slowly into unconsciousness, Tyson let himself try and get comfortable. He tossed and turned about in his hammock until he found a comfortable position facing the sea. Eyes slowly closing, Jay traced the beach shore from the pier down the way. A strange shape stood out against the darker color of the wet sand, but his mind did not register it. It only until he closed his eyes and nestled in to light sleep that his mind clicked. Something is off. Furrowing his brow, he forced his eye open and rescanned the shore. This time, his eyes came to rest on the out of place object on the beach.
Curious now, he rose in his "bed" to see if he could gain a better look. He still couldn't make out the object, but from where he was, it looked like a net with something stuck on it. Now he had to know. Jay struggled to climb out of the hammock and ended up falling on his back, and nearly rolling off the pier. When on his feet, he began to jog over to the thing on the beach.
It was only until he was a couple of yards away that he realized it was a body. Alarmed, the deaf boy ran over to body, and slid in the sand next to the body. Rolling the mystery person onto their stomach, he placed his ear near their moth to check their breathing as well as placed his hand at the neck to check for a pulse. He hadn't even stopped to see if the figure that had washed up was male or female. Frankly, it didn't really matter to him.

He said, leaning the seat back. Kat glanced back at him as she started up the SUV. "Sam, if you could get whatever it is you wanted from someone with just a little bit of lip service, wouldn't you?" She shrugged her shoulders as she started heading out of the garage. "It's my power, so yes, I use it fairly often."

Adam's shoulders sank a little, along with his body sinking further into the couch, "OK..."
Her teeth chewed on the end of a pen nervously, fidgeting a little before responding, "Well, I've gotta be happy I guess. Funny movies, having a grand 'ol time, you know, that kind of stuff. I'm super-duper useful." Olivia shrugged, "That's why it's too bad you don't know any good jokes."

He hadn't even stopped to see if the figure that had washed up was male or female. Frankly, it didn't really matter to him. There was no heartbeat, no breath. The body only moved an inch or so every time the waves rose up and fell back, the water attempting to pull the body back into its cold embrace. The face stared back at Jay, the eyes empty and glassy. It was the face of a man in his early twenties. It was a recent death, the body was in too good of a condition to be anything else. Th rot of death was getting a hold though, which was most obvious from a slight sweet scent which blended in with the smell of salt and sea. He wasn't dressed right to be a sailor, perhaps a party-goer on a yacht, or a tourist that thought it was a good idea to head out to sea dressed in a three piece suit. Whatever the case, drowning wasn't the cause of death, which was obvious from the small hole in his chest surrounded by a faded red stain. Across from that hole, sticking out of the breast pocket, was the corner of an envelope.

"The fun of it gets old really quick though. Trust me on that." Kat said with a dry voice. She pulled onto the highway, speeding up to merge, while messing with the controls of the radio at the same time. "So what made you guys decide to come find the group? You just showed up out of nowhere. After that little argument between me and the coach, I didn't expect to see either of you again."

Kat rolled her eyes but tightened her grip on the steering wheel, "Hmm, the connection backfired on that one, I suppose. It was a stupid move, though. I may have to talk to you both about your save-the-day attempts. It's reckless and going to get you killed. If it had been a proper trap, one made specifically for us, you would have fallen into it too."
