-Strider coughed and opened his eyes when Elistral asked if he would be alright- "I don't know. I feel so strange. It's like i've just come out of a large tunnel that was suffocateing me. I feel just so.....happy." -Strider smiled as tears streamed down his face- "A feeling I haven't felt for almost ten thousand years.....and even though it won't last and that I have to keep fighting I just could care less. I'm floating right now." -He just sighed and got his composure- "Now I think i'll be alright I just need to have my wounds treated and I will need some sleep. You mind helping me up?"

Elistral just smiled at him, not knowing how to answer or find the words to, feeling slightly overwhelmed. How could she say that she was happy for him, for being alive and happy for once probably in countless years? She nodded and eased him up slowly, calling Rore help her. They went slowly into the house and eventually brought him into the little girl's room, setting him on the bed surrounded with stuffed animals. Rore's wife came in shortly with linen sheets for makeshift bandages and cold water.

-When they took off Striders shirt to dress his wounds there were several scars some as big as a mans hand others long narrow slashes most looked like they would kill a normal person. It actually took a little bit to decern which wounds were the ones needing treatment. After thet Strider fell asleep almost instantly. He hadn't had any sleep in so long it was not much of a surprise-

Elistral closed the door softly and went outside, pulling her hood up as her alias, The Bard. Verin saw her and came over, leading his foster parents with him. The small crowd was around the wooden house, so it took a bit to push through them. "What're--" He started to ask. Elistral held up a hand stopping him, then she addressed everyone else. "What took place tonight was..." She thought for what words to say. "...The stuff of legends. Salim is a peaceful town, and this was something that will bring memories up when talked about. Please, for now, return to your homes and shops. Dawn has come, and with it, a new day." She trailed off then, losing any other words that she could have said. The townsfolk looked at each other, muttering, and slowly headed back to the town. Verin looked at her oddly, and opened his mouth to say something, but a tug on his sleeve from his foster mother stopped him. Elistral just shrugged helplessly, and nodded her head in the direction of the town.

-After Elistral left Strider's eyes opened and he layed there looking at the ceiling-

((Woah, I think that's the shortest I've ever seen you type before.))
Elistral waited until his parents left before she spoke. "The people of the town would most likely not believe this, or what happened." "But, they should know anyway. I mean, we all live here." Verin protested. "They already know. The stories I tell every night, of the Ravagers also, are all true, and they choose to think of them as only entertainment." She replied. "That's stupid though, they shouldn't--They need to--" Verin walked away angrily and followed his foster parents, needing to think.

((I wonder what Jake's doing. Maybe he has alot of stuff to do.))

((well sometimes short is best))
"Maybe thats all for the better that they don't believe." -Strider was standing at the door with all his cloths on- "As for me i'm afraid its time for me to move on."

((I agree fully.))
"Indeed." Elistral nodded and turned to face him. "You have other matters to attend to, I understand." She thought for a moment, then tossed her leaf brooch to him. "Keep it, and don't forget. Maybe you'll return to this town someday."

-Strider caught the broach and looked at it- "You know an old poem was made about me a long time ago. 'A man who's job is never over but has barely began. A man who fights for others who don't even know the truth of his mission. He is a traveller who searchs but never finds. He is the one that will save this world or else we all shall die."

"That sounds...familar." Elistral tilted her head a little. "I don't remember where I've heard it from though. Not many people go about spreading stories nowadays, or in the past." She hooked a hand on her belt and gazed around.

"Im not surprised you were there when it was composed by your father." -I step off the door frame and go to Elistral and hand her the pendant back- "This was his and giveing it to me just wouldn't be right. Now good bye Elistral and Verin I shall never forget your kindness." -Strider turned around and began to walk along the road as he did so a wind grew along the path blowing up leaves and dust and in a flash Strider was gone and where he stood a note read: "Should you ever need me just think my name and I shall be there."-

Elistral glanced down at her brooch when Strider handed it back to her, yet when she looked back up to say something, he had already disappeared. She closed her fingers around it and bent down to pick up the note. As she stood, her head throbbed painfully, causing her to place a hand to her temple. Her father? She didn't remember her father composing anything like that, but an old memory came back to her, something she couldn't quite place. A tall tree surrounded by grass, her father sitting next to her writing, and someone else that was standing near. Something must've happened to her memory, or had been blocked. Putting the note and her brooch into a pocket, she turned back to Salim and started walking towards the small town, deciding that the place she'd called home for the recent amount of decades would need her for now.

-Strider was about a mile away looking at Salim when someone appeared beside him. It was Jake. Striders old freind who he saved-
Jake: "You know he'll be back right?"
Strider: "Yup. I don't know why but nothing is absolute with people like us. Never dead but never liveing really. In realaity how do you know we really even exist? But all I can do is sit and wait for him to make his move."
Jake: "Nothing phases you does it?"
Strider: "Nope. Once you've lived as long as I have you'll understand why."
Jake: "Well I was just about to go check the Dark Ones prison if you want to come."
Strider: "Whats the point if we already know whats going to happen?"
Jake: "True. Though it gives us something to do besides just sit and read and play chess."
Strider: "Actually I was going to go visit Demios here in a bit if you wanted to tag along."
Jake: "Sure. I've never met an Eternal Dragon before."
Strider: -Strider looked at the sky- "All the peices are falling into place wouldn't you say Jake?"
Jake: "I would say so though I think you over did it a bit by letting Mal kill you."
Strider: -Strider shrugs- "What can I say I like to add just that little bit of dramatic flare to things."
Jake: "Yes well what would happen to your plan if you died here?"
Strider: "Oh you know you'd do it. I did train you to use my magic so you could do it."
Jake: "Oh yes very confident on my abilities. Though I could get used to being called Strider. How did you ever get that name anyway?"
Strider: "Elistral's mother gave it to me when I was composeing that poem."
Jake: "You ever going to tell her?"
Strider: "When the time is right she shall learn about what she is. No later and no sooner then the last battle. Now I feel it's past time to leave. Come Jake." -Strider dissappears in a white flash of light-
Jake: "Right behind you." -Jake dissappears in a green flash of light-

The town wasn't really in shambles, it just looked sort of messed up. That throne thing had disappeared, the bell's top had a thin crack in it, and the hole in the wall by his window was still there. Verin absently kicked one of the stone bricks, turning it over on its side. He heard his foster parents calling to him from the house, and he started over to them. Something glinting on the ground caught his eye though, and he bent and picked it up, shifting it from side to side. It looked like a fist sized, obsidian rock. Without really thinking, he slipped it into his pocket and headed to his room after going inside, falling almost instantly asleep when he hit the covers of his bed.

Elistral sat on the edge of the town square's fountain, watching the townspeople move about, cleaning the streets of rubble and fixing what needed to be fixed. Already it was morning, and even after pulling a usual all-nighter, she felt alert but tired also. Salim, this small little town, going about as it normally did. She rested her chin in her hand, thinking about going back to the Protectors hidden base, and let the sun's warm light make her feel drowsy.

-From inside the black stone Mal's spirit sat in waiting for the time when it could regenerate Mal's body. Then a dark light is seen from inside- "This....isn't.....over! Oh no this has only just begun. In fact I think it's time to bring back some old freinds. Hmhmhm." -Then the black stone dissappears from Verin's pocket in a flash of black light-
