Well Me and my brother Kain built this place he made the design and had my sister Sophia give us the wood and I magically binded it into the library you see and because I used living tree's the library shall forever grow to accomadate new knowladge. This place is also magically connected to the universe so quills and books and paper fly eyerywhere to collect all the new knowladge and write it down." -Strider breathes a sigh of relief- "I call this my home because im the one who made it."

"It's beautiful." Jake managed to get out, his eyes still wide and his ears perked up. He was inside a library, in a tree! He'd have never believed it any time else, but here he was. He wished Stephanie could see it.

Jake, who hadn't really been paying attention, perked his ears up at Strider's voice. "Uh, 'Fate' "? He repeated quizically. "Is that like, the thing that exists and guides what we do? But it's not really a person..."

"Yes but one thing your not complelty correct about is that it's a person. In fact it's kinda like a being with no physical form and it's my job to make sure that it's plan for the future is carried out. "A person?" Jake asked. "It has a conscious mind?" He had "confused" written all over his face. His ears drooped as he considered what else Strider had said. "I don't think I'd be able to do whatever it is you do..."

"You see thats why i'm going to train you as my apprentice Jake because you unlike alot of other people cna control the magic around you." -Strider makes the apple disappear for effect- "You see there are few people left on your planet that even know what magic is let alone know how to use it." -Strider gets up and offers his hand to Jake- "So again I ask you...do you want to know how?"

Jake bit his lip and shifted from one foot to another, noticing Strider had changed the subject. Did he want this? He didn't know, but he was already in it to begin with. 'In for a penny, in for a pound' he remembered his sister always saying. He put his hand in Strider's and nodded. "Sure. How?"

-Strider smiled- "How? By comeing with me." -A light shines from Strider's hand and both of them disappear. They reappear in a grassy field by a tall tree and Strider releases Jakes hand and breathes in then out- "Welcome Jake. Welcome to my home planet. Yes this may look like Earth but this planet has much more magic. Can you feel it Jake? It's all around us, flowing like water all around us. If you concentrate enough you can even see how much magic someone has and how much control they have over it. You for instance have alot of magic but it's very undefined and wild. Now you try. Just look at me and concentrate and tell me what you see."

Jake nodded and tried to concentrate on Strider. At first he saw a faint haze, but then it grew stronger to be a blue-ish color aura. It kept growing stronger until he yelped in pain and covered his eyes, his tail tucking between his legs. "Ah, that's so bright!" He said.

Jake rubbed his eyes as the sharp pain faded away. He peered through his fingers and looked at the ground instead of at Strider, who he knew now could blind him by accident. He took a few breaths. "I...I think so..."

"Well how about this instead." -Strider pulls an extra pair of shades from his pocket and hand them to Jake- "Those aren't normal shades. They're magical. They can either allow you to see more magic or see less. The pair I have on are the originals and I chose to see more. I can see the actual flow of magic as if it was water flowing around me. Though also nothing is very bright to me." -Strider smiled-
