Well, Tsukasu said with a smile, looking to the menu. You like fish? he asked, soon after blushing as he felt that a rather stupid question. He cleared his throat and laughed nervously. Since my brother said it was very good, I'd suggest the sake, the maki, and the ebi...if you wanted fish, that is, he said with a nod. I'd be most comfortable suggesting those. Do you know what they are?

Leilani tilted her head a little then looked back at the menu. "I know fish is...well, fish." She rubbed the side of her head a little, feeling silly for not knowing a difference. "I'm not really familiar with the types, I'm afraid."

Tsukasu smiled brightly, nodding to Leilani. Well, the ones I listed are prepared as sushi, a Japanese dish. The sake is fresh salmon, the maki is tuna, and the ebi is fresh shrimp, he said. The first two are raw, the ebi is boiled, he nodded. Sound good? Or would you like to try something that isn't fish? he laughed softly, biting gently on his lower lip.

Leilani listened closely then smiled. "I've had sushi before! It was yummy. Can I have that?" She probably could have picked something else that she'd never had before but right now she wanted something familiar to her.

Tsukasu smiled brightly, nodding to Leilani. Of course you can! Do you want anything else? How about to drink? he asked excitedly, already knowing well what he was going to get.

"A drink? Right, right." Leilani instantly looked back at the menu, smiling to herself since she was able to read it just fine. Now every merperson got the privilage of being taught. "I think the drinks are just as confusing as the foods... So I guess I'll just have water."

Wait, no, Tsukasu said, smiling to Leilani. You've got to have a cherry sprite with me, it's really, really good. They give your sprite, which is like fizzy lemon lime water, and then they put cherry syrup in it, and it's so yummy, he exclaimed happily. He blushed softly at his outburst, looking down.

Leilani tilted her head a little. "Cherry sprite?" Even though he explained it, she still didn't understand exactly what it was but it did sound good. "Okay, I'll get that then." She then lightly scratched her chin. "What's fizzy water?"

Umm, it's carbonated water. Do you know what carbonation means? Tsukasu laughed softly with a smile. The waiter came and took their order. Tsukasu placed their orders, asking for regular water as well.

Leilani smiled at the waitor, not minding at all the Tsukasu ordered for them. She actually prefered that right now. "I'm afraid I don't. I mean...I've heard of different kinds of water but carbonated is different. Is it a new discovery? Where does it come from?"

I don't know where it comes from, but it's been around for a while, Tsukasu laughed with a smile. A few moments later, the waiter returned with their drinks. You'll have to see, Tsukasu said, gesturing to the cherry citrus beverage that was placed in front of her.

Leilani tilted her head then pulled the drink closer. Before tasting it, she looked at the cold liquid through the glass, surprised to see bubbles in it. When lifting the glass to take a sip, she gasped and wrinkled her nose. "It's splashing at me!"

Tsukasu laughed softly, nodding. Yes, it will do that... use a straw, he said, handing her one before taking a drink of his, the cold red liquid making him shiver.

Leilani took the straw but continued to watch the drink bubble and "splash". It had tickled her nose before she even got a taste. Sticking the straw into the glass, she finally took her sip and smiled. "It's rather yummy though different. It even tickles my mouth."

I'm glad you like it, Tsukasu said with a smile. Carbonation, which makes the water bubbly like that, will take some getting used to, he said with a nod as the waiter brought their dishes.
