“The barrier is already up.” Calisto only smiled as she looked at him. She was amazingly calm considering that she was a target for the assassin. She had to be or fall into despair. She could not afford to. “I believe what the assassin is using is teleportation magic. It is the only magic I know of.” Her voice was extraordinarily calm considering everything as she leaned against Alex blushing.

"Excuse me, what are you concentrating for Alex?" The curious Akira asked with a pleasant smile. "Are you trying to put up a barrier like Miss Calisto said?"

Alex gave a smile to Akira's question.
"Its a little trick I can do thanks to my herritage but basically what I do is ask the wind and air to guide my thoughts and they let me see the area as though I were to see it with my own eyes. Does that make sense?" Alex said to her.

Calisto giggled a little at Akira’s question. “He’s not forming a barrier. I am. I formed one over the area. But, now that it is formed. I can safely wash the blood off my body without worrying as much. Alex is going to see about any further threats.”
Calisto would walk into the lake as she then sat down submerging herself completely so that she could wash the blood off her body before surfacing as she walked back out of the lake. It was a short wash as all she needed to do was that as she looked at Alex and let the wind dry her off when she sat down on the grass.

Akira nodded, "That is impressive! How can you talk to the spirits, are they all aroudn us?" She watched Calisto, "Do you hear these spirits too? Is the barrier had to keep up? Where is it, I don't see a barrier?"

"The Spirits are as plentiful as the stars in the skies Akira." Alex said as he smiled at the almost child like curiosity. In this world living in the cities obscured the stars but out here on the outskirts the stars would come out of hiding. "Some spirits have even adapted to the modern world we live in."

“I hear and can touch the Spirits Akira. I even see them. There are those of us that share the gift of it. Alex shares the gift with them. I share a very different gift with them that spans a different life time from him” Her words came softly as she spoke and dried off. Her body now dry she looked around. She thought a bit about how she was going to get more fish to cook for the slowly growing people and as sure that Alex would not wanting her to go alone in the water. “Alex would you like to join me fishing for fish?”

Akira nodded in understanding. "Is there a way that you can see the spirits, or those who cannot see them. Is there a way that I may be able to see them someday?" Akira asked both of them.

Alex scratched his head absently. He would have liked to tell Akira it was possible but if it was he did not know how. However if there was a way he was not really sure.
"Fishing already? How can you think about fishing at a time like this Calista?" Alex asked surprised. He knew she put up a barrier but did not understand how it would help against a foe who could appear anywhere. "I have to stay vigilant in case something go wrong."

“That is why I asked you Alex. The fish is required to replenish the energy of those training and I need my energy for the blood lost.” Calisto then looked at Akira as she probably had no way of explaining it. “I was born with the gift Akira. I am now sure how Alex came about the gift. It is not something I learned a long time ago that can be taught.”

Akira nodded, "Thank you for telling me." She said brightly. "I really appreciate it!" Akira smiled, looking around the area again and breathing the clear air deeply.

"So eager to learn!" Ewan exclaimed with a chuckle. "After so many years, it's refreshing to see such curiosity. Your enthusiasm is a very endearing quality, my dear." He smiled his usual warm smile. "If you wish to learn something now, I will be happy to oblige."

Akira's eyes gleamed brightly with the chance to learn. Maybe by learning their magics she could better understand the world that lay beneath the moon. Giggling Akira thanked Ewan. "What would you like to begin?" She asked, the excitement granted her immeasurable energy. "Please tell me what to do."

"Well," Ewan began, "as I said earlier, my magic relies on the Earth's natural energy. To be able to channel it effectively, you need to be able to feel it. For this lesson, you'll need to sit down, close your eyes, and remain still." He sat down as well. "You will feel a warmth spreading throughout your body. Once you feel it everywhere, the earth has accepted you as a catalyst, meaning you can use its power."

Alex was worried. He did not know if the barrier was going to work or not and the thought of Calista being hurt further irritated him. The way she beckoned him to fish calmed his nerves slightly as though everything would be okay in the end.
"Alright Calista I give in. Lets get enough fish that we won't have to worry for a little bit." Alex said with a shrug. "If we get them fast their shouldn't be any sort of problems."
