He laughed happily as he watched some of the kits playing. It made him very happy that he could see many different species were able to co-exist happily. He went over and introduced himself to some of the children and began teaching some of the youngest ones how to play freeze tag. He looked over at Karin and smiled, before gesturing for her to join them.

"I am teaching them freeze tag-you split into teams and then each team has to run from a designated freezer. If you get tagged by the freezer, then you have to stand still until someone on your team unfreezes you by tagging you. If the freezer can get everyone frozen, then the last person he or she got becomes the new freezer." he said, in order to provide a synopsis of the game. He looked over at the kits, then at her, and waited to make sure she was clear.

"There is only one freezer-that one person is not on either team, " he said, hoping that that would clarify it for her. He nodded to the kits and they started playing again, not waiting to see is Teithi and Karin actually joined them in the game.

Hon was sad now that all her four children except for flame had left home and gone off on their own. Aithne even had a litter of her own which were adults though Quest had come to live with her. But for some reason it was not enough for Hon and she wanted to have more kits. So she went out in search of her mate Star, to broach the subject with him.

Star was fishing when he heard his Hon walk up to him. He turned to smile at her and saw that she had a serious look on her face and waited for her to tell him what was on his mind. It was obvious to him that it was an important topic to her and that she needed him to listen.

Hon saw that Star was listening and smiled. He had always been a good mate to her. "Star, do you miss having the children around? It is kind of lonely here without them running around. And even our grandkits are adults now. Kind of makes one feel old."

Star nearly choked. "Old? I would never say you were old. You have always been young in my eyes. And yes, it is nice to have the kits at home. But we can't keep them here forever. They have to go out into the world and make their own mistakes and find their own loves."

Hon sighed. "I know that, and I wish them all happiness. But don't you feel like it would be great to have some more kits around here, running around. Most the kits here are teens or adults by this point. And it is nice to see their energy and hear their laughter. Don't you agree?"

Star laughed. "Kits are always fun to have around. And Valinos is still a baby, and Ilana's a teen. Plus, aren't Cisnera and Moises coming to live at the mansion as well. Soon we will have lots of new kits around here to play with if you want."

Hon rolled her eyes. Star was being a little dense today and she knew she would have to spell it out for him. "I know, and I love playing with the other kits. But I kind of want some more of my own. I want to have more babies of my own to claim as my own. I have no more babies to pamper as they all have grown up and some have had babies of their own."

Star's eyes widened when he realized what Hon was talking about. She wanted to have another litter of kits with him. Not that he didn't want kits. He loved kits. But becoming a father again would mean a lot of extra responsibility. And time. Were they up to having another batch? "Hon, we have to think this through. It's a big responsibility that we would be taking on."

Hon smiled and walked over to him, rubbing her head on his shoulder. "I know it is, but I think we can handle the responsibility. We did it once, we can do it again. And I really would like to have another batch of kits. Just think, they can play with the grandkits and it will be like one huge family reunion."

The idea appealed to him but he still was not sure. "Hon, I know that we are not old, and like I said to you before, I see you as young. But it is true that we do not have the same amount of energy as we did before. Do you think we could keep up with the newborns?"

Hon swished her tail. "Of course we can keep up with them. We kept up with Flame and Quest. Besides, worse case scenario, we sic them onto the older boys an have them watch the kits if we need a break. We do have those two still around."

Star laughed out loud. "That would be interesting to watch. Though those two aren't ready to deal with kits. The kits would rule over them and you know it. Besides, how do you know they won't like the idea of becoming babysitter? They may not want to help. Though I admit it would be funny to see them try."

Hon laughed. "Of course it would be funny and they'd spoil the kits rotten likely. But I think they would be willing to help. We raised some good boys and I think they would enjoy it either way. Now stop making excuses and tell me if you are willing to have another litter with me."

Star nearly choked again but sighed. "Well, guess it can't hurt. And I do miss having kits around here. Just don't complain if you get to tired from running after all of them." But despite the complaints it was obvious that Star was looking forward to having another litter running around his feet.

Hon pounced on him in love and had a smirk on her lips. "I knew you would come to my side eventually. Thank you." she added and her eyes were full of love for her mate.

Star smiled back, happy to have pleased his lady love. It wouldn't be too bad to have another litter around here and it would be good for both of them, he though contentedly. Besides, they were likely to have a small litter anyway since they were older. How hard could taking care of a few more kits be?

Freckles decided to take a walk in to woods and headed south from the mansion. He decided to go towards the flower meadow and get some sun. It was near the edge of the mansion's borders and he knew that other creatures from other places went there occassionally as well. He wondered if he would run into one of their neighbors on this trip.

Freckles looks at the meadow and notices the most beautiful fox he had ever seen and blushes. He is glad that she is sleeping so that she doesn't notice his shyness. He slowly walks up to her and lays down beside her, watching her as she slept. He knew what he was doing was rude, but he just wanted to stare at her for a while.

Freckles also jumped back and blushed at being caught at staring at him. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have been staring and watching you." Then he realized the irony that both of them were apologizing to each other. "No need to apologize, we get all ssorts of people and creatures here. We have a lot of people passing through and actually living here. So we are used to strangers."

Freckles gave her an awkward smile. "My name is Freckles. My owner wasn't very original when coming up with my name I guess. Newlyn's a nice name. Very unique and really pretty. Your area doesn't sound very nice. The lady here is very accepting and takes in whoever wants a place to live, whether permenantly or temporarily. So long as they don't cause harm to the other residents. What brings you to this area anyway?"
