Lauren was someplace different now, she was in her head. Repressed memories playing over and over again, like a bad video tape.

She heard Awen speak, as if she was far away. It's okay....

But it wasn't okay to her, as long as he was here. It was like the streets all over again. She didn't want it to be like that. "I... I want him gone.." She said, tears falling on her cheeks. "Too much.. he's just too much."

Awen's calming words were starting to bring Lauren back to reality. She was starting to realise something, if she didn't go out to kill him, she was AFRAID of him. She was afraid of someone, afraid he might do the things to her that he did to Colche. "I.. geuss..." She replied to Awen, falling into her arms.

But if she happened to come across him, and had a knife on her hands she would be safe right? A rapist running loose on the island with tentacles didn't pleasant at all. In fact, it sounded like a bad anime. "Moreau will kill him?" She asked Awen. "Or hurt him? He hurt Colche" She had no clue about him missing his testacle. "I.. don't want him hurting you anymore. I don't want him... to do those things.. to..." She started bawling yet again.

Lauren wiped the tears and the gross tear snot off with her furry hand. "Yeah, I geuss he wouldn't kill him. You don't think I can kill him?" She looked up at Awen, her voice sounding unusually small and child like. Lauren thought she could, possibly. She wondered if she would care if she was killed, if she did die fighting someone. At least, she would be safe in death, as weird as that seemed.

Lauren was lost in the squeeze and the calming words of her friend. "I don't care if I'm hurt though..." She lied, to herself mostly.

She liked the feeling of Awen's hugs, of her attention, even if it did mostly come after Lauren had psychotic episodes. She showed Awen more of her weak side then she had shown anyone else. Perhaps that's why she had feelings for her? She came out of the hug, searching the room for the flowers that were on the table, smiling when she saw that Awen still had them.

"I care about you too." She said as she smiled back at Awen, her orange eyes done with crying for the day.

Lauren didn't want to leave, not like this. She felt too vunerable maybe after a nights sleep she would feel better. "I can sleep on the floor. It doesn't bother me. I'm used to worse anyway." She looked over at the 'water bed' "I see what you mean by that now, that must be nice for you."

It was starting to occur to Lauren how distant their worlds were going to become. She wondered how that would affect things, for their friendship or if more were to happen.

He had tentacles, if he weren't such a sleeze bucket... Lauren shook that thought off. She didn't want to think about him, let alone him and Awen again. Even if she would be better off with a water creature.

Food helped everything. Lauren got up and grabbed a can of pop and a bag of chips. "Movies sound fine... nothing cheesy though. Games and anime sound fine too." Lauren was up for anything really, as long as it distracted her mind. "Anything to distract my mind." She voiced out loud.

She had been having flashback since the day before when Colche had told her about Billy. She beamed an appreciative smile at Awen.

Lauren shook her head, "No, havn't seen it." It's been a while since she had seen any anime from what little she had seen. "Go ahead and put it in." She made a little nest as close to the water bed as possible trying not to get close enough for splashing. The proceeded to stuff her face with chips, but they didn't taste as good as they usually did for her and she couldn't chew them very well.

"These aren't as good as I remember..." Lauren chuckled a bit at Awen as she put them down.

Lauren did continue to munch on them as well, just not pigging out on them like she usually did. Bugs tasted better, which was an odd thing to her. She couldn't help but think they would be better as ants or a nice juicy beetle. She loved some of the giant beetles here in the jungle.

"Yeah, kind of but their still not beetles." She snuggled in her little bed, curling up in a ball. She wished Awen didn't have to be in that tank, that she could be snuggled up close to her. The mongoose demanded cuddle time.

Rex and Lauren were just friends, but she wondered if he would cuddle with her. "I met a cool guy and we went surfing... his name is Rex." She told Awen. "You know him! The first time I met him you were there too. He's a hell of a swimmer for a lion." She found it funny that the cat person was a bette swimmer than she was. Weren't cats suppose to hate water?

She continued watching the anime. She kind of liked Ed's attitude.
