New Job Opportunity for Hogwarts Monthly! ---The Hogwarts Monthly is currently looking for someone who can make ID's for the Hogwarts Monthly Staff. The editor has made her own version of what one may look like:

Alright, so I've added 3 new job opportunities and I've even found good use for my old one! from Post 10 of the front page... heart Job Opportunities:
Many of us are not quite as literally artistic as we would like to be, but would still like to play an active role in the paper. Well I will now be accepting applications to be the Editor's Assistant, a Junior Editor, an Image Creator, or a Staff ID Maker/Vendor. Discriptions of each, as well as applications are below.
NOTE: upon applying you are agreeing that you are willing to make out a rough schedule in which you will be (to the best of your abilities) available in some non-verbal way (meaning internet) so that the Editor may discuss desiered topic with you. Consistant failure to availability will resolve in your employment termination.
heart Quote: Assistant to the Editor ---This assistant will aid me in gathering information from guild members, come up with ideas for the paper itself(to make it more efficient, enjoyable, and profitable), edit typos and other corrections needed, along with other things that I cannot hope to do all on my own. This assistant will need to be on Gaia at least 4 days of the week, which means that that includes a week day. This assistant will also need to be an avidly active guild member.

What title do you think this job should have, if it were not "assistant to the Publisher"? ---My assistant will be paid 200 gold for each issue he/she helps me with to start, but this is likely to rise. Also, do not feel bad if you are not hired; I will be very picky about who I hire. This is because I will most likely give this person access to my either my other account which is for the Hogwarts Monthly only and contains all of its funds or access to similar valuable things. 3nodding It's nothing personal, it's just business. wink Quote: Junior Editor ---A Junior Editor will do jobs similar to the Editor's Assistant, but will have far less acess to the fundamentals of the paper (my account, Figgy's account.) A Junior Editor's job entails (what a cawinki'dink wink ) editing. They will be breifly (I use this term lightly) trained as to how articles are formated before they make it to the final "post issue" point and their main job will be basically to format articles I give them so I can just put them into the issue without having to do it myself, on top of all the other things that I do (like my own articles.) This could include anywhere between one article per issue to maybe even over seven or eight articles an issue.

(it's what I use, even if I probably shouldn't...) 8. Do you have an email account that you check regularly? (In case you arn't on Gaia) Or is there a non-verbal and non-intrusive way that I could possible contact you if need be? 9. What do you think this job will require of you? (At least 3 sentences, please) 10. Name three strengths that you posses. Any strengths. 11. Name three weaknesses that you posses. 12. Name each guild crew member. (5) 13. Name each Griffindor Quidditch team member from Harry's 3rd year. ( 8 ) 14. Did you need to go find the answers to questions 12 and 13? (answer honestly) 15. Is there anything you want me to know before I make a final desicion about your application? ---A Junior Editor will make 100 gold a week at first (even if he/she doesn't get a single article to edit, but simply for being a resource) and will be paid, again, at first 25 gold for each article the edit correctly. But if they fail to edit an article I send them (as long as they've had resonable time to edit it) then they will fail to receive wages for that article and if they fail to edit any I send, then they will receive no pay and be fiered. domokun I'm a resonable person and if you say you don't think you're going to be on that much for any given article, then fair enough, but you won't receive pay while you're gone, I'm afraid (There will be no sick-leave here.) Quote: Image Creator ---An Image Creator will do just that, create images of all sorts shapes and sizes for me. This is a very low need job at the moment, but I thought I'd make it available and I will probably use the resorce this staff member will provide more and more with every comming issue. I will ask an image creator to make advertisements for specific guild events (somewhat like my "Opperation Scourgify Ads"), possibly make small image headers for articles, and what ever else I may need (visually) for an issue. My use for the resource that this person will provide will depend on the creator's ability, both with what editing programs they may have and with how skilled they are with those editing programs.

Is there anything you want me to know before I make a final desicion about your application? ---An Image creator will be paid 100 gold an issue just for being a resource. (so, if I don't ask them to do anything, they still get 100g) The will be paid by the image and each image's worth will be discussed between the editor and the image creator (depending on how hard they worked, possible how many drafts they made before finished, and how much they discussed what with me about details I wanted.) The editor will PM you whether you got the job or not! biggrin ---Staff ID Maker/Vendor will receive 200 gold for making sample IDs (One sample for each needed type) and could possible reveive more for whatever extra ideas they have to offer or if they go above and beyond my expectations. Besides that, they will be aloud to keep a percent of the profits made, which will be discussed with the Editor and the Vendor (but it will be no more than 50%.)

Post-Deadline Pay-Cut Will Be Enforced For Issue #8
stare For my own sainity, articles/stories/fanfic/cartoons should be turned in no later than the 10th of each month. I will still accept articles after that, but I will be deducting from your pay for every day that you are late. And the cuts will go like so...
(since there is a very large gap between the highest and lowest wages, it will be based on percentages) If you turn it in on the 11th, 15% of your pay will be cut
If you turn it in on the 12th, 30% of your pay will be cut
If you turn it in on the 13th, 60% of your pay will be cutThese deductons are for the cost of my personal sleep for every day you turn in your work late...

If anyone hasn't noticed I've been re-posting the Hogwarts Monthly through Figgy's account...
Only I can't turn the thread into a sticky because I can't edit posts anymore...
which totally sucks...
Anyways, the paper currently has a poll asking if you think I should combine issue 8 and 9 (both which are supposed to be fairly important issue, the Start of Term one and the Holloween one) into one monster issue...
I was planing on posting the 9th issue late, because I wanted it to come out closer to Holloween than the 14th so that means that this issue would come out on the 20th of October and I want some feedback from my writers. What do you guys think? If any readers frequent this thread as well, then feel free to add your thoughts as well...but I want input. Especially since I've only gottone about 3 articles for this issue...and the 7th issue got 8 issues and a cartoon...as a matter of fact, I only got 3 articles for my very first issue as well...so this is slightly pathetic...give me input guys...
