Chen decides to look around as he was currently staying in the lower region, going through the rooms to take a look at anything that was still here that wasn't tampered by those burglars. For now, he just wanted to take a look around, to get to understand more of the life these people lived, through their art and the relics that existed here.

Chen Ning Chen decides to look around as he was currently staying in the lower region, going through the rooms to take a look at anything that was still here that wasn't tampered by those burglars. For now, he just wanted to take a look around, to get to understand more of the life these people lived, through their art and the relics that existed here. "Jackie Chan why we here?" Joseph called not knowing his ally's name. "Why come here off all places, we should be getting the hell out or finding a way to take this place off the map, or even get the hell out before the people who hired us blow this place to kingdom come. I would rather not die again!"

"The name's Chen," he corrects him. "As for why we're here, I'm checking something. Go downstairs and keep a watch of our friend."

((I am here, begin your exploration. Also...))
Zombies!
The Palace Upper Reaches was also office to some of the God Queen's most trusted officials, and as Chen & co. explored more, they would come across a group of three, standing in a circle holding coffee cups.
The three would look at them, waiting for that recognition of life that would set them off.

Chen would come to a stop, seeing the robots holding coffee cups before looking toward him. Chen wasn't exactly frightened as much as he was confused. Why were the robots holding their cups like they were just normally passing the time? As if they were being normal social beings until something other than their lifeform comes into existence. It was almost like they were....human. Chen was a detective, so he was always thinking up possibilities.
Extending his right hand, palm forward, he lets his psychic powers go to work, seeing if he can sense the same type of life from them as he did when he was searching for the spirits of those who were once here. Even if they were going to attack eventually, he was going to at least find out something about them. He thought of them as nothing but robotic terrors, but this could hint that they were something more.

((I guess Joseph went back downstairs?))
As Chen began his scan, the beings charged, the one in front swinging its coffee mug at Chen's head, flanked on either side by its fellows.
Chen would find the residual energies of a mind, a soul, something once human. They were mere tatters of what had once been, however, cut and reshaped to fit a more primal mold.

"!!!"
What the hell did Cat Cradle experiment in to make creations such as these?! So these things were more than they appeared, actual metallic shells feeding off of the reminiscence of their human host. The more he thought about it, the angrier it made him. If this was the case, then these things were likely once members of this society. Again, more abusing of this city, a sadistic one at that.
His eyebrows dip against his eyes behind his goggles as his rage builds, letting it all concentrate into this deep desire to find Sullivan and kick his a**, along with the rest of those involved in this incident. The coffee cup swung at his head would be ducked, Chen crouching as the two flank him. His first target: the one in the front. He was going to deal with them as if they were people he needed to subdue, not kill. These robotic skeletons were more than that to him, now.
"I will free your people, Azhralani!"
His right hand stretches forward, having his hand grasp onto the metallic forearm that held the coffee cup. Having his left hand follow in grip, he pulls and also turns to the right to try to pull the skeleton off the ground and use it as an actual weapon, swinging it first at the skeleton to his right to throw him and send them both slamming toward the wall, or even falling down the stairs. That would be two birds with one stone.
One more left, and he was behind Chen.

The zombie would be harder to handle than a normal person--it didn't have the normal ligaments to aide with the throw, and its joints were less resistant to being forced in any direction. Still, if he put enough muscle into it, he could pull it off, though no serious damage would befall the robots from the attack.
And while Chen took care of those two birds, the other one attacked him from behind, grabbing for the back of his skull with its metallic hand.

Flowing his body like water in river stream, he could now sense these robots in the way of that of a human. Though small in this respect, he could still feel them. And he will use this feeling to give him a better chance against them. As if he was fighting mere humans. They had no hearts, but....there was a soul somewhere. It made this fight easier on him, and finally allowed him to place his martial arts to use.
Feeling that the things were harder to move, denser than they looked, he would bulge his muscles and have the power of a psychic flow through his muscles to enhance his strength, and aid him in throwing the skeleton. With them out of the way briefly, the hand of the one behind him was coming at the back of his head. Chen did not sense it by his physical senses, but that of the sixth sense.
Yet, it was hard to get a grasp of what exactly the thing was doing, so all he could do was go by the general fact that he knew it was behind him. Though the back of his head is grabbed, he is wearing a hood over it, accompanied with the silver winter coat he had on. By just bending his head forward, the claws barely scrape his head as they grip upon an empty hood instead. Turning around to his left, he sends a fast left backfist toward the thing's face, following it up with a right fist coming from below in the form of a trained uppercut. A trained uppercut was different from the exaggerated street fighter dragon punch in that the fist followed from the hip to the chin of the opponent, using efficient delivery of power and the twist of the hips to allow for a burst of strength.
In short, the attack was meant to give a large blow to the head, which was the assumed weak spots of these things.

The zombie staggered at the force of Chen's fists, but held tightly onto the hood, yanking its arm back. Since Chen had to turn to deliver the uppercut, the hood would be twisting around his neck dangerously if he still had the coat zipped up. Even so, its head was swiveling back and forth.
The two zombies who had been tossed against the wall were collecting themselves, and Chen could hear them coming laboriously back to their feet.

Since Chen had turned counter clockwise, the hood would mainly be in a tangent against the left side of his neck anchored behind then going forward at the gripped part of the skeleton's hand. He could hear that the other two were getting up, but felt confident enough in taking them out with his bare hands alone. After all, he would almost feel guilty if he killed another one of these things. He just wasn't sure if they could be saved or not, but he was going to at least try.
If one punch didn't do it, he delivers another rapid set of punches while the skeleton was somewhat dazed. Hopefully they'll be enough to dazzle its system or whatever was powering it from inside its skull, such as a person getting concussions from normal blows to their heads.

The sheer force of Chen's attacks were leaving dents in its skull, and the neck was growing weak from the force of the attacks, but it would not relent. Unthinking, unaware of tactics, with its free hand the zombie would make a grab for Chen's face.
Its companions, in the meantime, were up and charging at Chen from behind.

Versatile these things were when only using your fists, but he wasn't going to give up. Sideswiping his head to the left to avoid the hand that tries to grab his face, one of the claws manage to scratch across the right side of his cheek, drawing a line of red blood into the chill of the air. Leaning forward, he has both hands grab for the metallic ribs of this thing, then pulls upward to remove its feet from off the ground and throw it over him, raising it overhead then looking behind him to have the body of this skeleton thrown at the two coming from behind to once more send them falling to the ground by the force of their own allies.
If he manages to do this, he quickly looks around at the objects in the room. He needed to find a suitable weapon he could use against them.
((Description of the relics/statues currently in the room? He's in the lower regions which weren't in the line of the sun stone's explosion.))

The zombie would go screeching into its brethren, where they would be a tangled mess, buying Chen just enough time to examine his surroundings.
He would see mostly gold and silver ornaments, jewelry in display cases and ancient relics (or replicas thereof). A few swords and axes and the like hung on the wall, but they were all ornamental and decorated, unsuitable for actual combat and liable to break when used. Silk tapestries also hung on the wall, depicting great feats in the history of Frostschild.
