"Like a chameleon, yes?" asked Professor Xavier, though he knew exactly what Owen meant. He also knew the extend of the young boy's powers, and his activity with them for the most part, but he kept that bit of information. Owen's body language showed that he was relaxing some in the warmth of the parlor, but he was still apprehensive.
"Care to tell me a little about yourself?" the elder asked, calmly. "Or would you prefer I go first? I can answer any questions you may have about me or this institute."

Eyes darting to the three females Victoria shared the space with, Victoria caught the tail end of their conversation, and Becca's laughter and suddenly wondered what was so funny. Arching an eyebrow with a hint of a bemused expression, her dark eyes narrowed for an instant before focusing on Morgan. He had just acknowledged her existence again, but answering her rather tame and unpersonal question. She had more, of course, but part of her did not know where to start.
"Hm, same old," Victoria answered with a slight shrug, meaning to say things had changed, yet not nesicary for the worse or for the best. "We've gotten some new teammates since you've left though," she added, finishing with a sigh, knowing Morgan was thinking about when he left, just like she was.

"I'd rather be inside with one of those cafe size mugs full of hot coco with lots of marshmallows." She said with a sharp nod. Kara raised an eyebrow at the Sarah girl, "And thats exactly what I'm gonna do.....want one?"

"It's not that bad," she said in reference to the question about enjoying snow. "Though it's fun too to curl up by a fire and dry off."
As for the second question, she let Sarah answer the question for her, not sure how she ought to answer. She bit her lip as Kara spoke about coco, wanting to make a comment about it being poisoned. Though that would hardly be a wise to say now, considering she was not attempting to rip out anyone's eyes.

"I guess." Owen shrugged. He didn't have much interest in the animal kingdom, but he still remembered a few from various places. He figured it didn't really matter and stared at the tiny ripples the tea made every time he moved the cup in his hand. He chewed his lip a little and looked up at Xavier. "There's really not much to tell. I'm just a kid. In a church. With bugs. Been that way for a really long time." He sighed and watched his breath stir up more ripples. "I don't remember my parents very well." He raised his head again and looked back at Xavier. "So this is some kind of school?"

"That's fine." Blade shrugged to Shandra. In reality, she wasn't looking forward to explaining why she suddenly disappeared. It was . . . difficult to say the least. Blade wouldn't be surprised if Xavier wanted her to inform her parents of the whole truth. Something that wasn't going to happen until she knew for a fact that she wasn't a danger to anyone. "Hmm, let's go to the kitchen and get something to drink." Blade smiled.

Shandra nodded and started walking. If Blade wanted to fallow she could but she wasn't going to force her to move from her spot. Shandra knew all too well how it felt to be forced to move when you didn't want to, it wasn't a nice feeling.
'Eh, I'm being overdramatic again,' she thought to herself as she turned and entered the kitchen.

"Mmm-Hmm, yes," said Professor Xavier and with a nod between sips from his cup. "This is very much a school. A school for young people like yourself to learn about themselves and their powers, and that they are more of a great gift to them as opposed to a curse."

Owen cocked his head in interest at Xavier's words, then spoke up, marvelling at how easily this man made him want to speak. "I've never really thought about it being a curse. I'm glad of mine; I wouldn't have been able to survive very long without them. One time I was caught stealing an orange from a stand, and the vendor tied my hands up with those zip tie things and left me in his van while he called the police. I cried for help and got answered by a harvestman hiding in his van. I did what it told me and struggled so hard my wrists got all cut up and bleeding, and it got slippery ehough for me to slip out of them. It was easy getting away from there." He set his cup down and rolled up his dirty sleeves, showing Xavier a set of scars that resembled barbed wire going almost all the way around his wrists. "When I ran home, all the spiders pitched in and spun their web around my wrists to stop the bleeding. The orb weavers put theirs on last because theirs is the strongest." He sighed and smiled as he picked his cup back up. "It looked like I had gold bracelets for weeks."

Blade eagerly followed Shandra as she barely kept her stomach from growling. How she managed to do that, the world will never know. All that mattered to Blade was she was getting a good meal. It had been awhile since she wasn't on her own so she was happy.

Hot chocolate. It was one of Sarah's weaknesses. Chocolate. Sarah thought about that for a long moment. She knew that it would most likely make her more hyper then she usually was. "Maybe." She said finally obviously still thinking about it.

"Umm... What just happened? Weren't you trying to kill her a couple seconds ago?" Morgan asked, raising an eyebrow at the current exchange between Kara and Sarah. Then again, he hung around with David, so mood switches like this weren't that much of a surprise to him anymore.
"You know what, never mind. Nothing should surprise me anymore," he added, putting a hand to his forehead, and just shaking his head about the whole thing. He then turned his attention back to Victoria.
"New people, huh? I suppose this is one of the newbies?" Morgan asked, motioning to the third girl, whose name he didn't know yet.

A grin spread across her face as she looked over at Morgan. "Not kill...just maul." Her tail twitched behind her as she looked back at Sarah and smirked. "C'mon. I make one awesome hot coco. Lotsa marshmallows and coco powder on top." She nodded and giggled. So far from what she could tell none of these girls had any type of telepathy or they would know something was up, if they didn't already by her sudden change of mood. Her ears drooped as she looked at Sarah, "Pretty please?" She asked then changed into the cute little calico again and rubbed up against the girls ankles purring.

"This is Becca." Sarah said to Morgan since he hadn't met her till just now. "But yea, she joined up with us after you and Victoria got into that fight with each other over that thing that attached itself to you back at that lab..." There was a slight awkward moment as Sarah brought up the subject that they were avoiding like the plaque. Not thinking about it and being Sarah she kept going. "So are you two ready to put that behind ya'll now? Sure you two fought over it but isn't it about time to bury the hatchet so to speak...you fought...it happens even with friends..." She assured them both. "Now you two go talk about it between yerselves and me and Becca here will give ya some privacy so ya'll kin talk." She said quickly walking over and nudging them both off to the side before her ears perked. Kara had uttered the magic words when it came to hot coco. Marshmallows. "Oh that sounds nice." Sarah said and couldn't resist picking the calico up and petting her.

Becca made to open her mouth, to introduce herself when Sarah spoke on her behalf. As Sarah spoke, Becca's gaze darted between Victoria and Morgan, gaze lingering on him as the words 'thing that attached itself to you' processed.
"Wait, what happened to him?" Becca whispered to Sarah, coming up behind her. She eyed the cat in the girl's arms, wanting to stick her tongue out at the calico.
"Watch out, that kitten has claws," she hissed, as if the cat might not hear her.

Shandra walked into the kitchen before spinning on her heels to face Blade. With a tilt of her head, for no apparent reason, she turned back around and filled up a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice for herself.
"So anything in mind? I can cook you up something while you wait..." Shandra offered, "Or I guess you can find something you want and do it yourself..."
