Syvra turned over onto her stomach, grabbing one of the pillows and hugging it, her back to Jack as he talked. When he asked her if she could restrain them, she muttered just loud enough for him to hear into the pillow, "I can, but do I want to? That's another matter."

As Cora watched, Demyx's eyes softened along with his voice. She closed her eyes as their lips met, and she reveled in his passion as the kiss continued. As their bodies connected, she drank in his scent, not for the blood, but for him.
She was still weak, however, and no matter how much she tried not to, she faltered and slumped slightly. She could only hope that Demyx hadn't noticed, but she doubted it.

"Alright. Do you know how to get back? I'll walk you if you want."

Kye's stomach rumbled in protest, but he smiled and stood up, walking towards the door and opening it, checking for any other prospective snitches. The hallway was empty.

At last, Jack realized what was bothing Syvra. The corner of his mouth turned up in a devious smile. "Oh, is that what you are doing? I must apologize, then. I didnt realize you felt...neglected." He trotted over to her side, taking her face in his hands. "This wont take long, I promise. When all is said and done, we can...do whatever you want," He promised, smiling slyly at her enraged face.

"Dont worry, everything will be fine. They wont find out," Demyx cooed, but Cora was already falling asleep. He felt an odd mix of emotions that were not his own seep into his mind. It was a familiar sensation, and it took him a moment to realize that he remembered it from the first time he had met Cora. The fact taht he had met her only a few hours before seem irrelivent now. He felt what he felt, and there was no turning back.
Demyx was tired aswell, but now was no time to sleep. He reminded himself that there was still work to do, and that he had a responsibility. He stood, gently setting down Cora on the couch, before walking back over to his desk. A pile of papers waited there for him. He sighed, and found that as hard as he tried to focus on his work, he could not keep his eyes off of Cora as she lay there, her face for a moment peaceful in sleep. He bit his lip, forcing his mind back on the papers, and on how he could possibly keep her a secret.
I will have to tell Jack of this. Not now, but soon... Demyx decided. He smiled, despite the pile of papers and how exhausted he felt. It would be nice to tell someone, and to have a little help. He knew he could count on Jack.

Rose's eyes flicked from Alice's to Kye's, and then to the shattered picture frame. She didn’t know what to say. To admit that she was crying over a boy that did not return her feelings seemed pathetic. “I-I didn’t mean to see them…I was only checking up on him. Demyx and the other girl…” She shook her head, wiping away the tears. “How long have they been together?” She managed to ask in a steady voice, trying to sound merely curious. Her eyes wandered once more to the picture before she could drag them away. Her hand lingered at her cheeks, brushing away more tears. “I’m sorry,” She muttered. “Its been a long day already.”

Rose stared at Alice, wide-eyed. “Wait…that girl really is a vampire?” She shook her head, closing her eyes in concentration. “No…she can’t be. Demyx would never. If anyone ever found out…” Her head suddenly shot up. “Alice, you must tell no one of this, do you understand?” Despite the loathing and jealousy that was building up inside of her, she couldn’t let anything happen to Demyx. She glanced at Kye, hoping that Alice was right in trusting him. “Does she know that you are a Spirit? How many people know? Alice…this isn’t good. What if this Cora is working for the vampires?” She moved from the bed and over to her drawer, rummaging through it. When her hand retreated, it was grasping a silver dagger. “Call me paranoid, but I cant let anything happen to you.” She slipped the blade into her black boot before covering it with her pant leg.

"Yeah, of course." Kye glanced once at Rose who didn't seem too convinced. He'd bring her over soon enough. With another look at her boot, he said, "Anyways, if I wanted to hurt you I would have done so already."

He drew out the the blood packet in his pocket precariously, checking that the door was closed before biting down on the edge of it, slowly savoring the taste its contents.

Jack’s right arm moved to hold Syvra to him.
“I don’t know what the Spirit can do, but Briarrose Wunderlich, the Earth elemental, has proven herself to be quite the wild one.” Jack smiled mischievously. “Do what you must to contain her, but be gentle with Alice. I wouldn’t want her having to heal herself, its an awful waste of precious energy.” He pulled away from her then, heading slowly for the door. “I’m sorry, but my time is running short. I wont be long, I promise dear.” With that he slipped out of the room, slinking undeterred through the empty corridors. If any teacher saw him, they did not question his actions. He was a good student, probably just doing some errands for his overworked cousin.
Jack did not have to check where he was going. Rose’s room was not far from Demyx’s, and he had been there many times to see her anyway.
“Room 416,” He muttered in satisfaction as the black numbers came into view. He knocked twice, having a story already planned out in his head.

“Good point,” Rose said, glancing at Kye. She didn’t entirely like the fact that he was feeding in front of her and Alice, but she understood the necessity. She also understood that he shouldn’t have the blood packet at all, but she would not mention anything about it. “Wrap that up in a towel and throw it away,” she instructed, pointing toward her bathroom.
“Ill take your word and his that we can trust him, Alice, but if Kye steps one foot out of line, I’m trapping him in a bubble of thorns,” Rose muttered as he stepped out of earshot. She opened her mouth to spew out more threats, but a knock at the door cut her off. Startled, her head snapped in its direction. After a moment, there was another knock, this one louder and more impatient. She grabbed the handle and threw open the door, ready for anything. What she saw almost made her tear up again. Maybe she hadn’t been ready for anything.

“Briarrose, darling, what happened?” Jack asked in the most concerned tone he had when the door was jolted open to reveal the girl he was looking for. Her purple hair was sticking to her red face, and her eyes were wide at the sight of him. “You have been crying….” He observed, wiping the remnants of tears away with his thumb.
Rose nodded and didn’t say anything at first, instead pulling him into a crushing embrace. Jack put an arm around her, patting her head. Now that her body had moved out of the doorway, Jack could see the room beyond. A boy and girl were staring at him from inside, their faces looking slightly confused. He looked away from them and back down to Rose.
“You were right, Jack, Demyx doesn’t love me, and he never will,” She said softly.
He shook his head. “I told you.”
“I know. I just thought…maybe…Well, it doesn’t matter. He is with Cora.”
“Yes, I know.” That was a lie. Jack didn’t even know who the girl was. It was very interesting fact indeed. He smiled suddenly, hardly masking the devilish thoughts in his mind. But the smiled melted away, quickly replaced by a look of sadness and concern again.
“I’m so sorry Rose. My cousin was a fool not to love you. I would never have picked that horrid girl over you.”
Rose smiled and pulled away.
“Don’t worry about it Jack.” She pushed the hair and the last of her tears from her face. “What is it that brings you here?”

Jack shrugged, but his hands wrung together in anticipation.
“I need your help. Can you take me to Alice?”

Rose turned, looking slightly embarrassed.
“Oh, sorry. Jack, this is Kye and Alice. Guys, this is Jack Liceryth. He is Demyx’s cousin, second in command, and….a good friend of mine.”
Jack looked up quickly at the mention of Alice.
“Ah, so this is the Alice Black I was sent to find.” He smiled at Rose. “Demyx just sent me off to find her, but he forgot to mention her room number. I figured you knew where she was. Looks like this was the right place to go, after all.” He waved to Alice, giving her a friendly look that masked his hunger to grab her and run. “We need to discuss you and your special abilities.”
Rose chuckled. “No need to be vague, Jack, Kye knows already what she is.”
Jack tiscked and shook his head. “Its dangerous to let so many people know, dear, but I suppose it cant be helped. Now, we really must be going. This is important, but I need to speak to you in private. Rose, you may come too. Kye…” He fumbled, not knowing what to do with the extra baggage, but then gestured toward the door. “You may follow. Now, shall we?”
